Hard grader, but an easy class. DO NOT BE LATE OR SKIP. She hates people that are late or miss class.

This teacher is not that hard ! I barely did my homeworks and i still got a 3.7 for both GB 201 and 202. Don't worry, if you participate, understand the concepts,and study hard for the exams you will be FINE ! TAKE HER !

She is a hard teacher but I learned a lot! If you like accounting take her if not try to avoid her if you do not want to fail!

She's an interesting person. She likes to teach by having examples. So if you pay attention in class and know everything she is talking about, you will get an A. If you like to space in class that it'll be hard. She's nice and i liked how she taught.

I took her for GB 201/202, ID 306, and the internship. She is the best. Awesome person, really wants you to do well. Very fair. Do what she asks of you, and you will be fine. She is a great person to know for job/internship opportunities.

I agree. If you've taken accounting before, you will do fine, but for someone who hasn't or has little interest in it, you're screwed. Basically thinks everyone on Earth should be an accounting major and doesn't really explain the little things that would make everything else make sense. Nice enough woman, but didn't learn and got screwed on tests.

Its a tough class, but its 201 so it will be tough no matter who you take it with. Osterheld is definitely one of the better teachers and has excellent connections if you get to know her!

You have to take 201... that's a fact... but Osterheld really does make it enjoyable. She is very knowledgeable and VERY fair. Her integrity is one of her strongest points. She makes the student want to learn, rather than forcing the material down his throat. My recommendation would be to take her over other teachers like Evans.

Nice enough woman, however not the nicest professor. Class is alright, especially if she likes you. Exams are HARD - Tells you to write out all of your work so she can give you "partial" credit - DO NOT, she'll take off MORE points than the question was already worth - you're better off getting the question flat out wrong.

At the end of the day, I had no regrets taking Osterheld. She can be tough at times but she really knows what she's talking about and is a great professor. She's pretty fair with grading and as long as you study, her tests are not that hard. Great person to know for internships and you definitely want to get on her good side! Definitely recommend!

Great prof. Very helpful. If you pay attention in class you will do fine. Don't listen to what everyone is saying below, none of them are true.

Not sure about the negative comments below - she was really nice and gave lots of class time to go over questions or homework. Quick to respond to emails if you have questions. Moved quiz dates back if she felt we hadnt covered the material enough in class. The tests were hard but are standard for all GB112 classes. Overall a good professor.

Osterheld is the best out of all gb professors, she knows what she's talking about, she makes sure students understand the material, tests are more than fair, definitely take her!!

I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR!!! She's fair, clear, and extremely helpful, I'm hoping to get her again next semester. She really knows her stuff. Take a class with Osterheld if you have the chance.

Love professor osterheld. I had her in AIS and she was very helpful and showed interest in student's success in the class.

Really knows the material well and is very helpful if you ask for help. She is pretty rigid when it comes to rules and grading which can hurt if you dont try at all but if you pay attention it's not hard to do well. Extremely helpful if you want it. I took her both semesters fresh year and I would definitely recommend to anyone

Definitely knows her stuff, but is a little awkward when it comes to teaching. If you need to have things explained in order to understand what is going on, she is not the teacher for you. Reads off of slides, but very helpful at office hours.

I love Professor Osterheld. She is extremely nice, engaging, and knows how to teach. If there's any question you have, she'll make sure to make you understand before you leave the class. You must read, do homework, and attend to get a good grade in the class. Not an easy A, but not that hard to do well.

Prof. Osterheld is a wonderful professor who is extremely passionate and engaging. Many of these negative reviews do not do justice to her character as a person. Prof. Osterheld was very clear about her grading criteria and a fair grader. Like all professors, she expects her students to learn and be challenged. She is one of the best professors!

Osterheld is a great teacher. I took her for both 112 and 212. I don't understand how she get's bad reviews, really. Everyone that is competent that I speak to loves her and took her again. She is not an easy grader, I would say this is my best subject, but worst grades. With that said, very very clear and consistent. She is a great teacher.

Having Professor Osterheld was an interesting experience. She is very good at explaining the course material. I guess because I didn't button up as much as I should have, I received a lower grade. If you study the material taught in class, you should be able to receive a good grade. She is a tough grader however and very stern. But a solid teacher

She is rather difficult but considering 212 is such an important course I appreciate that she challenges her students to learn and comprehend the material. Go to her office hours, she is very nice and upfront about everything. Hint, she loves to put "None of the above" as her multiple choice answer on tests. usually 2-3 of the 10 multiple choice.

Little harder than some 112 professors, but not boring or ambiguous, cares about how youre doing. She bases what you do in class on what you need more practice on, doesnt follow the slides like a robot. Lectures are interesting, but she does do an awful lot of talking about herself. Overall a solid choice and would definitely take again.

Great professor, very clear on what she expects, 112 all has the same homework so its really not that more difficult than other classes and she teaches you all the material clearly unlike some other professors

Professor Osterheld was a great GB112 professor! Her tests were a 7/10 difficulty but if you do well on her tests, you'll ace the common final with no problem. If you put in the work she is at the very least an easy 3.7. She is really nice and a fair grader. Definitely participate a lot in class. It'll make the class easier!

Professor Osterheld is a skilled professor, teaching is her passion, and she has plenty of real world experience to back up her lessons. She cares about each of her students and wants to see them pass. The workload is manageable, her grading is fair, and her lectures are always interesting.

I took her for 112 and 212, and I knew that for 311 there was only one professor I wanted to take. I think she is truly one of the best professors at this school. She gives great lectures, and she will always make time outside of class to make sure you understand hard concepts. As long as you put in the effort, she will be there to help you.

She is extremely passionate about accounting and wants her students to feel the same. You NEED to read the book! I barely did and my grade suffered from it. She is always accessible outside of class with and even hosts additional hours near tests. If you start falling behind, go to her! I never went to office hours and I just fell more behind.

AC311 is a difficult course. Put in your best effort and she'll make it very easy. I only found a few topics to be difficult but she gives handouts to practice that are very similar to test questions.

Osterheld gets a lot of hate because she teaches tough classes but in reality shes one of the best accounting professors at Bentley. Very knowledgable and does a great job of integrating worksheets into her lectures to help you prepare for exams and is very good at allowing for questions in and out of the classroom. Highly recommend for AC classes

All GB classes are the same work wise but Osterheld is a bit of a stricter grader than most teacher's. Since she's the head of the dept, she holds her class at a higher standard, assigning extra work and harder tests. Overall, she's a nice lady and uses a lot of real life examples in her lectures. If you're going into accounting def take her!

Does a lot of "quizzes" that don't actually count but are super helpful when you're studying for exams. Runs the course so she knows the material really well and is really good at conveying it in class and in office hours. Responds to emails within an hour before exams. Huge focus on understanding over memorizing

Osterheld has a bad rap but everyone I know who has had her loves her. Her lectures make sense and she gets through a lot of material in class. She's funny and engaging but doesn't mess around so you're going to have to put some effort in. But her grading is fair and she's always available at office hours if you need help!

Logged on to see that Professor Osterheld didn't have a 5 on here, but she was truly the best professor I had this semester. She really cares about her students and knows the material well. Her classes are always pretty interesting and she splits the time between lecture, discussion, and handout problems that are really relevant/helpful for exams.

Take this with a grain of salt and make sure you check other profs' ratings and look at the right course number. Osterheld's really good at teaching the GB112 material. I believe some professors have easier grading, but her grading isn't that bad, and you'll still get partial credit on wrong questions. Ofc though, 112 is hard. Gl out there
