Does not grade strictly at all and generally cares about her students and how they perform. I was dreading this class, but she made it a lot less stressful.

She is very kind, clear, and grades very easily. She will let you out early if you have a class right after hers, and lets you argue in class all you want. It's actually a fun class with her as a teacher.

She is a very well read teacher who shows a great passion and adoration for literature. She encourages students to draw upon their own experiences to make conclusions and interpretations of the lit. read. I did not get to excited over the lit. she chose to read; however, her passion made me appreciate it. Sign up for her classes ASAP.

Prof Peterson is the sweetest professor you will ever have! She truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Her classes are usually fun with great discussions. If you are not very proficient in composition take her class, she will teach you more then any other!

WONDERFUL!! Get on her good side, and she will write you plenty of recommendations and help you out with other classes. Super sweet and knows a lot about campus. Her dad was the first South Alabama President. Always willing to help and grades very easy. TAKE HER FOR ANY CLASS YOU CAN!! Great professor!

Very easy teacher to work with. She is willing to help you whenever you need it, even if she is out of town. However, try not to miss a lot of class because she goes over a ton of stuff. You have to try awfully hard to fail her class.

Love her. She's super helpful and gives you a very fun survey of American Lit. :)

I really liked the class and she went to great lengths to make sure everyone understood their assignments.It was irritating because in some discussions she would only call on the people with the lower grades so they could get extra class participation points, but other than that she treats everyone fairly and grades that way as well. She's the best

She was a great teacher that kept the class interesting. All she asked was for you to read what was required for us to read for the class. She even took us on a feildtrip to see Beowulf, and got us free tickets too! I reccomend taking her class.

This was a great class. I took it online and she was very helpful and you can tell that she cares about her students. She gives reasonable assigments with reasonable deadlines. I LOVE Ms. Peterson!!! Take every class you can from her you will not regret it!!!!!

Ms. Peterson is awsome. She cares about every student. Her papers are pretty straight forward follow the prompt and you should do fine. If you have any questions she is more than happier to answer them. She is the best professor I have had so far at South.

She was pretty good. She graded harder as the assignments went on, but she did grade fair. I was expecting to make a B in her class but she boosted me up to an A cause I had bonus points and I attended class regularly, so she does try to help you out in the end. Class consists of discussions mostly, which are interesting the majority of the time.

Pretty fun. Gets upset if you don't try. Did every essay the night before, and I made As on almost everything in the class. All you have to do is put some effort into the class, she doesn't ask for much. Very friendly and extremely helpful.

Mrs. Peterson is one of the best professors at USA. She is extremely helpful and her classes are exciting and fun! She grades very easy and wants to her what you think. If you come to class and keep up with the discussions, you shouldn't have a problem making an A.

Very helpful & gets to know each student. Enthusiastic about literature. Loves class discussion & participation. There is a pretty good amount of reading but she goes over each story. Highlight quotes she calls out in class & pay attention to topics she talks about. The tests are identifing quotes she called out & an essay on topics she spoke on.

Easy class. Alittle reading. Speakers come to class and talk about different things the school offers. Some projects. There are madantory school events that you have to go to. Keep up with your notebook.

Great teacher, doesnt mind about papers being turned it late. Shes really easy and grades fairly. She tries her best to help anyone, and will respond to your questions at anytime. Even gives her cell number so you can text her when you need help. Recommend!

Very easy and helpful. I like that she gave us her cell# to text her if we needed help. I never really liked going to her class, although I did bc she took attendance. The way she conducted class just made me feel like I was in middle school. The whole class is basically your papers. So do on them, nothing else will pull up your grade.

Best online class ever! Very clear syllabus, assignments & discussion threads must be completed each week. Enough work to learn and be challenging, but not too much to be overwhelming. Ms. Peterson is very nice, easy to correspond with, and always answers questions/emails promptly. Very kind lady and I learned a lot. Take her/great experience.

VERY nice teacher! Attendance mandatory, is a big fan of group work, like every day almost... Helpful & funny. Just a midterm & a final, and a lot of papers in between. Some other random assignments, but nothing else major. Recommend for sure!

KP's awesome, I loved her class so much which was weird because I never was fond of literature but she encouraged group discussion and interaction so I totally enjoyed it and learned a lot about literature and how I really can read and interpret tough literature works. Her tests/exams are pretty simple and she always helps. Def recommend her!

Unbelievable workload for a summer course. In the first half of the summer semester, two papers, a group project, and weekly forum posts in excess of 10-15 posts total. She is kind, helpful, friendly, and clear in her expectations. Get ready to work though as she is excessive in her workload expectations, she will kill you.

LOVED HER!!! Wish I could take her for every class. I tell everyone that is looking for a good teacher, KP is the best! Attendance is mandatory, but unlike many of my other classes I've taken, I could not wait for her class. Just underline everything she says (I also wrote what she said about it in the margins of the book) and one paper at the end.

Amazing woman with a big heart. She had lots of great advice and made first semester of freshman year more relaxed. I've heard she is an amazing english teacher too. Very lenient with grading, and is very willing to help.

Mrs. Peterson is a very helpful, nice, kind-hearted woman! I am an A student and did receive an A in this class, but it wasn't as easy as I heard it was going to be. You MUST do your readings, or you will not do well on her tests. She offers extra credit opportunities. Only thing I didn't like was that she never put grades online, keep up yourself.

She's very nice and fun. But you have to go to class. She takes attendance and follows her policy's. Is VERY helpful. Do what she tells you, go to class, and participate!!!!!

Mrs. KP is hands down the best teacher at south, I really do mean this. I took English 236 over the summer and it was online, at first I was scared to take it online but it was super easy. I made a A in the course. She gives you reading to do and discuss with your team online and she is so easy when it comes to grading. Please take her!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is incredibly sweet. She really wants everyone to pass her class and makes the questions challenging but if you are able to support your answer she will give you full credit. The class is very laid back and easy if you read and show up. She cares about all of her students and has a lot of school spirit. I would recommend taking her to anyone!!!

I love KP! She's a great teacher, she'll give you clear instructions, and she's an easy grader. She'll remember your name and be there for you long after you've left her class. You'll only have to do a few relatively short papers. If you show up to class pretty often and do your work, you'll pass with an A for sure!

KP IS THE BEST!!! She is seriously my favorite professor I've ever had at USA. If you actually show up to class and actually work on the assignments, you'll do great in the class and she'll LOVE you! Made 'A's on all my papers. She genuinely cares about her students and you're not just a number, you're a person in her eyes. I LOVE HER!!

If you want a laid back class, take her. Very nice lady. She assigns easy papers like summary and analysis of essays in the book. Longest paper only has 1000 words max. She's also like going in activities outside or inside school. She usually cancels class just to invite students to volunteer or attend a speech, or join a school activity.

Ms. Peterson is amazing. She is very kind to all of her students, has a good personality, and is very understanding. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who has to take an English course. You will have to type a lot of papers, but she will walk you through them. Easy A!

Please take Mrs. Peterson. She's super nice and very easy if you just do your essays. She doesn't expect you to type more than 5 papers. (Hint: Other English 102 Professors will make you type 8-10 pages). There's not much to say because again, she's easy, but however she does expect you to type a very good essay, so don't slack off on your work.

She is a great professor. She is really passionate about literature. She encourages her students to be the best that they can be. I enjoyed the class and the discussions even though I am not very interested in the subject. The grading is relaxed; she really just wants you to read, participate, and broaden your mind to think about the readings.

KP is very laid back. It was easier than my high school AP lit class. I recommend her if you are looking for an easy grade to pass a mandatory class. But, if you really want more from your lit class, choose someone else. She's a very easy grader. Lots of group discussion. Brought her dog to class once.

She's very passionate about literature. She made the class interesting and gives good feedback. Since it's a summer class, there's very little time to goof around. Stay focused on the reading, and put effort into your work. If you do this, she will be happy to help you.

KP was awesome! My class was team based and I loved it. I actually made sure I could get her as a teacher after taking one of her classes because she was so great! She really loves her job and it shows. Just make sure to participate and bring a laptop or something to look up the required reading, the book isn't really necessary.

KP is great. Best teacher I have had at South. Would definitely highly recommend her. She made Comp not bad at all for someone who is terrible at English.

I got nothing less or higher than a B on everything which made me mad but oh well I guess she figured I didn't understand anything! she is cool I guess and easy to get into contact with outside of class. She is very kind-hearted as well. very easy A or B I don't think you can make less than that unless your attendance is bad.

KP is one of the most woke people I have ever met and she cares a lot about her students and the world. This is not a very structured class at all (and it gets pretty boring) and there is little to no required work or even reading. Go to class and participate and you'll have an A, it just might pain you to sit through the whole "lecture".

Do not miss your opportunity to take her class! She is very kind and caring. She will help you with anything if you just ask! Very easy class if you attend and make sure you know what is due. You don't need the book.

I took KP for EH 102 and the only thing we were graded on were our essays. She took the time to explain what each essay should be, and gave us ample time to complete them as well. She did a good job of engaging the class, and we would have discussions, which were a big part of class time as well. Overall, good professor.

There were weeks, maybe even a month were we didnt have zoom meetings and there were a couple of weeks were we didnt do anything then she came back and there was a in class writing we had to do. However shes very helpful with the papers if you ask, she seems to care a lot and shes understanding. And just btw shes also a night owl.

K.P. is such a sweet soul. She loves literature and it's very obvious. I would definitely take her class again. She gives you decent readings and just asks questions with group work. As long as you show up and participate, you'll get an easy A and learn some pretty neat things.

She is my favorite professor at South Alabama so far. I truly enjoy going to her class. If you ever have any questions you can always ask. She has been known to cancel the class if our class had a tough week. She also provided us with real-world experience by working with students outside the US. Would love to take her again! She does do exams based on quotes so fair warning to read. She has a lot of extra credit opportunities by going to outside events. All the stuff you have to read is available online. She really is a great teacher and I wished I had her for all my English classes.

KP was the best professor I had at South. She was always willing to let tests be open for an extra day (if students were struggling with other classes). She provides tons of extra credit by going to events on campus - which were usually pretty interesting. Overall a great professor, and made Literature a very interesting class!

KP is the sweetest soul. You and your classmates get to decide the weight of each assignment. You will work with a group the entire semester. You will have to identify quotes (author and title) and write an essay for most of her tests, but she grades easy on the essays; she even gives the essay topics beforehand, so you can prepare. TAKE HER!!!

Really liked KP and enjoyed her class. The only thing I didnt like is she isnt a fair grader because she would say I am not grading grammar in the essays that we wrote but that is the only thing she graded. Overall really sweet and caring professor but if you really care about your grade you will have to put in the work. Assignments limited.

Mrs. KP is the best teacher/ professor I've ever had, the sweetest lady I've ever met, and as long as you show up to class and turn in your paper which is normally around 2-3 a semester at least in her 101/102 classes then you'll pass with an a she doesn't grade harsh and she will give you ample of time to finish your paper.

She is very enthusiastic and supportive of her students, and initially, I didn't feel comfortable asking for help, but she insisted you contact her if you need any help. She also provides excellent feedback and lots of time to work in her class. She is an excellent, supportive teacher despite being an online class.

KP is the best! She was my study abroad chaperone and was lovely! She is very knowledgeable and has great stories. I didn't have to buy any books for the class, just respond to discussions and online readings. She is very caring and had multiple meetings before we left where she provided snacks and she took us all to Olive Garden. Sweet & easy

KP is amazing. She is so sweet and genuinely cares about her students. This class is group-based, and you're assigned to your group at the beginning of the semester, and everything is done as a team. She's a lenient grader. There's a midterm, a final, and some other random assignments. If you show up and make an effort, you'll get an A.

Mrs. KP is Literally so sweet I love her. If you did good in english in high school this class will be very straightforward. She is also very willing to help you with assignments and get you any extra help you may need such as tutors or study buddies.

LOVE K.P.! She is so incredibly sweet and truly cares about each of her students. There are only four papers throughout the semester and I would say she is a pretty easy grader. Attendance is mandatory for credit but she does give you six absences without penalty. I am taking her again for English 102!
