I took Rumbley based on others comments and recommendations. I say it was worth it. She made a boring subject fun to learn about. There isn't alot of work. She gives study guides, and the projects are effortless. She is a bit umm...off the wall, but that's the fun part. I would recommend her.

Very clear what's going to be on the exams. If she gives you a choice between writing a paper and doing an art project, do the art project because she loves those and grades easy. Ms. Rumbley is interesting and humorous in her lectures, grades extremely fair, and breaks up the gorden rule requirement in several 200 word (easy) papers and only one 750 word paper based on any event you attend.

Prof. Rumbley is a great teacher. She explains things in way so you understand and on a younger person level. As long as you do the 10 Journal entries and art project, you will certainley get an A. Also she gives notes that are exactly(don't worry there like 5 sentences) on the test so that's one of the reasons to go to class & test are EASY

Very smart and helpful in the class. Makes class fun and not too boring. But she does relate a lot to sex, and I mean a lot, I am a guy and she had me blushing a couple of times, but it kind of breaks up the time in class and you laugh at it. If you come to class every day, study a little before the tests, and do the journal entry’s, and project, easy A.

Spring 08. I really enjoyed this class.Came in with no knowledge on the Renaissance and baroque period and now I'm a walking encyclopedia.Gives all class requirements day one,NO classwork, only notes. Ten 250wrd take home journal entries on a preselected topic ,1 art project on pretty much anything in the time period. Take her you won't regret it.

I think I had same class as 4/21/08 & it was not hard to get an A for project..Just had to put time/effort out. As for Homosexuality mentioned, Dr. Rumbley did not insult anyone, & even mentioned some of her friends were of that preference. Just listen better, dude! She is just plain awesome. Great professor. If you do what is required, it is an easy A. Makes Humanities interesting even if it is not your thing. Roman to Middle ages, I did not have a clue now I am much more informed. Taking 20th now. Keeps it simple. You do not have to read the book, but you will need i fo your journals.

Karen is extremely EASY! test consist of 10 questions that she really already gave u the answer to, takes about 5-10 to finish. Lets out early. Journals are easy and her lectures interesting. She said she grades hard for online students. This is the easiest "A" I ever received.

Grade is based off of study guides and tests. Your study guides are your gordon rule credit. They are incredibly easy and help you on your tests anyways. There is one project at the end which is extremely easy, you can even bake something to get an A on it. Overall, easy class, funny teacher and you won't regret taking her!

Best Humanities Professor I have ever taken a class with. I had taken 20th Century with another professor before during a fall term and honestly did not learn anything at all. But with Rumbley I learned so much in just a matter of six weeks during the summer term. Easy A if you turn everything on time and pay attention in class.

This professor is great for any humanities course. I think she teaches every Humanities course. She makes the material SO easy to remember with witty jokes and stories. Her assignments take a bit of reading the textbook, but it's nothing too indepth. End of the course project, also. Easy A if you're not lazy.

Please do not take anyone else, sign up for Professor Rumbley! I am finishing up HUM 1020 & I love every second of it! She tells amazing stories to help you understand and remember the material. I do struggle in school but not in her class! Entertaining, take notes, 2 study guides, 2 tests(all from study guide), 1 project/ 1 min presentation. DONE!

Professor Rumbley is a good teacher and she's serious about her job. She loves what she's teaching and has the experience to go along with it. She gives excellent stores and keeps the class entertaining. She rambles a lot and wastes time though. Her grading system is very strict. Very hard to get an A. Majority of class got a B.

Loved her! She is so funny and makes class interesting. Study the review page you can get online inside and out. Test is 10 questions fill in the blank. Easy A just need to study for the test. Don't need the book she lets you put it on USB. You won't regret her!

She's the best humanities professor I've ever had. Do the homework she gives and don't miss out on class. If you do those simple 2 things, you'll get an A for sure! Specially do her exam reviews, those are actually the test! Exact same thing as her reviews! She also makes class fun and interesting, if you hate humanities, take it with Rumbley, she will make it fun and you won't want to miss out! Easy A!!!

This lady is amazing. She is one of my favorite teachers. Shes a bit crude in humor but at least you remember the material lol. I considered majoring in Humanities because of her. She's funny, interesting, and gets the information across extremely clearly. She doesn't want her students to fail or hate HUM so she helps you through it all. I loved it

This class was so much fun! I love learning about history and whatnot and Rumbley did a great job helping us to remember with her wit! When she is doing her speeches to teach it can be a bit of a bore but when she puts her personality into it it helps so much! I would defiantly recommend her, seriously.

One of the funniest and interesting professors imo at Valencia. I've never met someone so hilarious. She makes the notoriously boring Humanities course very interesting because of the personality and flair she puts in her lectures. Only tip I have is DO NOT turn in your study guides in late. She seems to grade the late ones harder than ontime ones

SHE IS THE FUNNIEST TEACHER EVER!!! She is a very wise lady who has traveled to practically all the places the textbook says. She uses the pictures she took as background and she acts out the lessons. Humanities is definately NOT boring with her. DO THE STUDY GUIDES THO; they are a big portion of your grade. I definitely recommend her!!

She is probably the best HUM teacher on campus. Her lectures are very engaging, and she is very intelligent.

Professor Rumbley is the best HUM professor ever she gives great lectures, she will make you want to learn more, I want to take her again for extra credit SHE'S THE BEST!!! TAKE HE NOW!!!!

my 1st semester at Valencia and i took Into to humanities with pro Rumbley and it was an awesome class, super easy only 2 tests and 2 study guides to go with the tests. she tells you everything you need to know in class and she is very funny(she keeps u awake) her final is also super easy just a project. i will be taking her for another class!!

I honestly loved her class so much! It was very informational and she made the class so funny and always entertaining! You have to right notes down though but only 2 tests and they are matching and super easy and one presentation for your final! I loved her class so much and would definitely take her again!

Professor Rumbley was an amazing teacher. She made something I wasn't interested in into something I now take great interest in. She made her lectures entertaining in a way that college kids could grasp and recall later. I only wish she was teaching more classes. I have not been able to take her since I took her intro course. I wish She taught more

This Professor made her classes very interesting, she is super funny and her class itself is a breeze. She does not tolerate skipping class, however, she is all around a great teacher!

took for intro during a summer course 4 days a week and always looked forward to her class. amazing real life experiences added to lectures. always has a hilarious side comment to make. no homework, all test were multiple choice and final was an art project. easiest A ever.

She is an awesome teacher. I learned so much from her lectures and have done pretty good on her tests. Her lectures makes you understand easily. One thing though, when you do her study guides, make sure you are VERY detailed and follow her grading criteria or else she will take lots of points off. Other than that she's great! I recommend her!

Karen Rumbley is an amazing professor. You know how some older adults try to act cool or hip, but in all reality are lame. Professor Rumpley (nickname not misspelled) is the total opposite of that. She can really relate to students and as long as you pay attention and do you study guides, you will get and A+ and be laughing your butt off in class.

Took her for all of my humanities. She's just awesome. Definitely a professor I will remember.

I took this professor online and she is great. He setup is very clear and you already know when things are due since the beginning of the semester. If you do not want to spend money on the book you don't have to she provides a lot of material online. The tests are not easy but not too hard either. Focus a lot on discussions. Amazing professor.

Good teacher and easy class, although she can be a pain at times. Some of the smart remarks she made were unnecessary, and if there is an error on her part its automatically your fault. The class and curriculum is easy, just the way she comes off isn't exactly the best.

Professor Rumbley was one of the best professor's I ever had. She's very considerate, especially if you are late in handing things in. All I needed to do was contact her and she really listens. My grandmom passed away and we had to travel, so I lost some time. Her work isn't too hard. She tells us to follow all directions, thats it.

She didn't assign an excessive amount of assignments and cared for her students. I didn't think I could get my grade up from a B+ to A- but I gave it my all for the final project and she gave me the best grade she could to get me up to an A. Would take again.

A lot of reading from the textbook. You cannot get around reading the textbook because the test she has revolve around the textbook. There was also only one essay. The assignments and discussions were not that hard as long as you read the textbook.

Prof Rumbley is a total gem The class is interesting and SUPER EASY Not a lot of work; it consists of discussion quizzes and a final fun project; she's very caring and there to help, do yourself a favor and TAKE HER! The bad reviews about her being tough grader is probably bc they didn't do their work I finished with 100 do the work you'll pass

Personally, I consider that Professor Rumbley was excellent, when I had any questions and I sent her an email, she responded in a favorable time and with detailed explanations. There is only one essay in the whole semester, and each week a discussion, but they are easy.

Professor Rumbley was a really good teacher and her class was pretty fun. I took it online so I didn't have much contact with the professor but she gave feedback on almost every assignment and let me resubmit if I missed something. An assignment and a quiz each week and like 2 essays. The final is creating a wanted poster which was really fun.
