A wonderful teacher if your new to NOVA, be prepared to do a decent amount of reading and note taking while in class, but if you have your notes, and pay attention, you should have no problems doing your research/ writing and should have a fun time in the process.

She does give out a fair amount of Homework but that is only what is required in class. If you need help or have questions about anything that has to do with class, she has office open hours that you can come in for help. In class and out of class, she uses the textbook. And that requires a lot of reading. She gives honest feedback to your work.

The Class is not easy you ll have 3 writing 2 of them you can rewrite it to increase your grade. the class was good if you want to pass your class you need to show up

Professor Kusterer is an AWESOME Professor. I like her sense of humor and understanding towards her students. If you do take her course there will be LOTS of reading & writing! Don't miss class because she goes over the material very quickly.

If you are looking for an English 111 class take this one. She is some what strict but its because she wants you to pass and do good on the final research paper. He cares a lot about his students and always has office hours after class. His work is tough but its manageable if you do the work and don't procrastinate. The group work is easy also

This class is an A with work but an A is possible with work. It has tests, journals and papers. She is a harder grader but she gives students several chances to improve grades.

She is an excellent professor. Her lectures are crystal clear so that everyone can understand the assignments. There were 4 papers total, but they are easy A's if you're willing to put the work and effort into it. I would take her again for any English class. Would recommend.

Professor K is an amazing professor. She expects respect from students but she gives us repect as much as she receives it. Attendance is definitely mandatory and you will automatically get an F if you don't show up . She's very understanding, though. Just do all the homework and be respectful to him, then you will an A.

Professor Kuster is very lenient, she cares about students and tries her best to help the students to get good grades. Before tests, she will give you practices that relate to the test. She doesn't stick with books, she gives you new articles that make you think. Furthermore, she gives you interesting papers.

Prof K is amazing!!! There are 3 major essays & a decent amount of homework readings from a thin textbook and some other readings from articles. She is very sweet to everyone. You will most likely get an A if you put in effort. Is the best choice, take her!

If you are looking for teacher who will give you a good understanding of writing while at the same time being able to get an A take her. Trust me, her class is chill, we always talk about current events and relate them to English.

Professor K has the potential to be an awesome professor. My current issues with her are that she laughs too much. She also has multiple writing assignments. She is a harsh grader and expects you to rewrite papers. She also a has so many reading assignments.

Honestly I really enjoyed this class! There was a lot of work and it made me stayed up late a few times, but I was totally fine with it because I enjoyed reading and carefully doing all the work. This class was a short week class, so it was fast paced. The work layout on Canvas is great.

Professor Kustere was amazing. I took her online ENG 111 six week course this summer and although it was a lot of work , it was manageable if you planned out your time accordingly. By this I mean I didn't see my friends for 6 weeks. She gave great feedback on all my assignments and responded to emails quickly. She cares about students.

This class was very easy for me after high school. It was actually easier than my high school English class. There are so many international students in the classes that she repeats herself many times making the actual class boring at times. She is very patient . The assignments are easy and fun which made the overall class fun for me.

I got a b in this class but could have easily gotten an A if I hadn't taken too many classes. The papers have options. The journals are long but the readings are interesting. Me and one other person were the only ones to talk in my class. Everyone else had their camera off and didn't even write comments.

This class is very time consuming but not hard if you are good at reading and writing. I turned in most the assignments and got a C. Prof Karen understood my point of view about Cs being enough for me given my work schedule and my family. She also got a degree when she was working full time with a family.

Canvas and Zoom are used in this class and those assignments are really weighted so make sure to do them on time. She gives extra credit but if you want the A then do all the work and all the extra credit too.

Professor Kusterer cares for students. She helps everyone and is very patient even when different students ask the same questions about things that she has already said 10 times in class. She was a great help with the library database.

She is a kind professor who really help you anytime if you have a question, grading system is negotiable and we can discuss about it in the meeting day of the class. She always wants her students to pass the class, she is hilarious and always wants the class feel relax and enjoy in her class.

This class really helped me move from my GED class to college. She is very organized and sticks to her schedule. Professor K is the best teacher I've ever had. She gives easy work and step by step instructions to help with the papers, so you are not alone in the paper process. She gives a lot of assignments to do at home but with a lot of instruction for the assignments.

I just received an A for my paper in History of Western Civilization in my undergraduate degree after leaving Nova. While 40% of the class wrote a summary.....12 of us got A in a class of over 70 kids. Thanks to this professor I was one of those A students.

She is an amazing professor! Class was very good,clear and understandable,helped a lot to improve my English.I personally recommend her.If you really want to learn to read and write in English and also like it, she is the one.

This class is ok. Beware of the pop tests. The pop tests are hard. The good news is that this prof gives some extra credit.

This class has journals, 4 projects, and a ton of response and summary writing. She does give students lots of chances to get a good grade but the class is a lot of work.

This class was awesome. I wish had had more time to spend on this class. It is possible to get a high grade in this class because there are so many extra chances. I just was super busy this semester. The class has journals,papers and reflections.

I highly recommend this teacher. She is very organized. It made it possible for me to work ahead as needed with my job. I liked that the papers were both focused yet gave students some choices on topics.

Awesome prof. She gives extra chances on assignments and extra credit to bring grades up. She also helps you get good grades on your work the first time. I needed and A for nursing and I got it!

This class has journals...reflections and papers. I liked the readings for the journals. The reflections were hard to write because I didn't know what to say. This is one of those classes that required a ton of time because of all the writing.

This prof has some intereting things to read. She also has students work together lots. I made friends in my class.

Easy class. Well organized. Boring some days but your basic English class.

Good class. I knew what was expected and I did it. I could have gotten a higher grade if I had more time. I couldn't do the extra credit and I turned in a few things late.

I have ADHD and this class really helped me a lot. I failed this class the first time I took it. Prof. K helped me get accommodations for my ADHD. Class is an English class. You read and write a lot.

This class was a lot of writing. It was hard to balance with my job but the prof is kind and helps you make it work for you. My final project was on something I had been wanting to read about for a long time. I hope the rest of the NOVA profs are half as good as her and I might just get my degree after all.

I work full time and I have a family. This prof is organized and straight forward with her assignments. She offers both negative and positive feedback kindly. I wish she was teaching 112!

Professor K's ENG111 class is well-organized and challenging, with lots of writing assignments. However, the helpful feedback and engaging class discussions make it worthwhile. I found tools like unstuckstudy ai really useful for study prep alongside the textbook.

She's ok if you have to take English.

The semester I had this prof she got really sick. She didn't cancel many classes but you could tell she was still sick when she came back. She cancelled all her office hours. She graded late but still gave extra credit so student could get their grade up higher.

I had to rewrite all my papers to get a good grade in this class. The good thing is it was possible to rewrite all my papers. Prof is ok. She is sometimes super funny.

This was an ok class. I think I lucked out though because everyone else hated their English class and I was just kind of neutral. The class was not hard or easy. It was in the middle. I liked my final project.

This was the first online class I took in English. Class very easy to follow. Work was hard but she helps you much. She also helped with technology. She gives students many chances for good grades.

This class is average. The Prof knows that MLA is boring and tries to teach it in small lessons. She always asks if everyone is awake afterwards or if students need a movement break. She uses the textbook some but I didn't buy the book and I still got an A.

Ok class. It was boring sometimes. I turned in my work. I got a B. It wasn't super exciting.

I learned so much in her class and felt supported the whole time. If you get the chance, TAKE HER.

Such an awesome teacher,she was became one of my favorite teachers, such a sweet soul and great for socializing. Always doing partner or group work, however, effort is needed for a good grade.

This class was hard for me but I did ok with lots of work and extra credit. It was my first semester in the US. I was adjusting to lots of new things. She is a nice prof who is easy to talk to. Very different than home.

This class was a lot of work to get an A...but it is possible to get an A in this class because of all the extra credit.

Shes a nice human. She's slow with grading at times...., which of course isn't her fault...the class involves lots of writing. She was merciful with grading and I enjoyed having her.

Pretty easy class. She basically just wants to see students turn in their work and improve their writing. She gives students many chances to turn work into her. She also offers extra credit. If you want an A then you can get an A.

Prof. K is a very lenient professor! She is passionate about her teaching and is very genuine and excited to hear your opinion. You'll get an excellent grade as long as you do the readings. I highly recommend he if you're looking for an easy A, she makes it close to impossible to fail anything in her class.

This class has 3 papers, 5 journal, and 2 reflections. There are 2 tests. I got most my work done in class. She gives extra credit so everyone can get an A if they want one.

I was able to get most my work completed during class time in this class and I got a B. Class is ok. It's a lot of reading and writing.

She is a super hard grader. She does give extra credit though. She also allows some AI use on her papers but she will get if you use too much!
