She's a really good teacher and very easy. Her examinations are fair and the way she grade is too. Quizzes are straight off of homework problems and by any chance you don't do good on any of the quizzes she allows you to correct it for half of the credit.

highly recommend!!! Great at explaining things, always smiles and willing to help you; she wants you to succeed. Quizzes based on hw, so do it everyday. Test questions aren't difficult, but you have to do 17 questions in 50 minutes which can be tough.

math has always been my enemy ever since high school i failed algebra around 5 or 6 times in high school but with trayer its so easy to understand the material she has a way of explaining things that is so easy to get, people say she is an easy teacher but its easy because she knows how to explain..

very helpful,extremely clear, her methods are percise and she does not waste time teaching irrelivent stuff. she takes the questions for tests off of the homework and goes over them a couple times before the tests too.she had lots of quizes but they're easy points, can be corrected for 1/2 points

Started the qtr. with a "F", ended the qtr. with an "A". I worked very hard for this grade but, Karen's teaching style lead me to my success. This is the best instructor at De Anza. She is very helpful, explains everything. I strongly recommend this instructor!

Wow. I took Alg. 2 in high school and failed it. When I took the class again with her, I came out of it with a 98%. She is great, she will always try to help. Really nice. She explained the concepts very well.

She taught almost everthing i know about pre-calculus after that advanced math was all down hill. she is the very best there ever was and will be.

Mrs. Trayer is one of the best teacher's out there. She truly cares about her students and is always willing to give extra help. I had her enable learning class where most homework is done online. Anytime I emailed her she always answered right away. Always gives study guides and goes over them before tests. Just be on time and no cell phones.

Wonderful teacher!! Very clear. Goes step-by-step and shows why things work out instead of just saying to memorize steps or formulas. Takes time at beginning of class to go over some homework questions. Available daily for help. Many small quizzes and tests that are not too difficult if you keep up with homework. Karen's a really awesome prof. She explains things so well. If you attend lecture, & do the homework you can easily pass the class with a very high grade. She is a great teacher. Very organized and clear in teaching a new concept. Lots of homework and regular quizzes, but gives you many chances to make up missed quizzes and creates study guides for each exam. Ms. Trayer was a great teacher. She makes herself available at all times. I would highly reccomend her. The only thing is, is that she is very harsh on attendance. She will mark you tardy even if you are 2 min late, but all that said she is a great instructor. I was happy to have passed with an A-.

Great teacher. I have had problems with algebra since highschool, but she made the class easy and broke down the concepts in ways that made it all very approachable. Homework counts towards grade and is easy points, you can make up missed points on quizzes and have two pages of notes on the final. What more could you ask for? Take her.

Trayer is a strict lil old lady who bends over backwards to help her students. She even offered practice midterms & a practice final that she would correct and go over with you. The enable software is kind of hard to use, but she tries to help. Must do all of the homework but she gives you a week before its due, accepts late work for half credit.

By far the most intimidating little lady I have ever met! Thank god for her though. Before her class I got "W" for 2 other math class @ deanza. Quizes are everyday and she allows notes on the tests. Though I didn't form a bond with this teacher, I have never seen anyone with equal or better teaching skills! Much respect! I understand math now. :-)

Trayer is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. She makes everything crystal clear. She assigns HW every class but never collects them, she uses the quizzes to determine if we've done the HW. Same questions from HW on quizzes. Study guides before every test! Study sessions before every test in tutorial! Study guide is basically on the test.

You must take her. She loves math and makes it easy for you. Attend class everyday and do the homework, its not collect but will be on the quiz. The review for the Midterm is the midterm..haha Best teacher at De Anza

No book, she uses enable math.I thought it would be horrible,but its not bad. HW is mandatory if you want a good grade,quiz every class but they are easy if you did your hw. She lets you use a full sheet of notes on your final. She will sit with you until you understand, stay late, offer study sessions. SHE IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!

Karen Trayer is the kindest math teacher you could ever hope to have. Any student that does not receive a good grade in this class can 100% blame themselves for their lack of effort. Mrs. Trayer creates study guides for you and tons of extra credit. Quick tip for students: Study the word problems thoroughly,she adds them for ec on the exams.

I took her math 11. Honestly, her class is easy and makes math easy to understand the materials. Also she explains them well, but her quizzes and tests are not easy. Althought you get the study guide, it is not related to tests a little. she chooses the harderest problems and put them into quizzes and tests.

Easiest and nicest teacher ever! she stays as late as she needs to to help students on homwework. Quizzes everyday but there easy and helps you prepare for tests. She offers make up points for any missed questions on quizzes. Mrs. Trayer uses EnableMath which is VERY helpful! I recommened her 100%

Mrs. Trayer really cares about all of her students learning and understanding the material. She's an awesome teacher. This class was more of a recap for me, but I'm glad I took it with her. She has her own method for a lot of things and she's really helpful.

Ms trayer was the best teacher ever I was horrible in math and she made me understand it she's the sweetest you have quizzes everyday which is helpful for the test. Lets you correct your quizzes to earn more points no textbooks online homework only great study guides for tests. Final you can use two pages of notes take her it's a must!
