This class was VERY interesting, fun and easy. I don't think it would have been so easy with a different professor. She makes it very easy to take notes and gives excellent examples to help understand a complex concept.

Such an amazing teacher, wow! Out of all my friends BSL 212 classes this one seems to be by far the easiest. All my friends struggle to get a B and constantly read the book all night. Turner breaks down the material so well and then gives very simple quizzes too, no surprises. Easy A if you pay attention. Take her!!

Turner is one of the best professors at UM. She's a really nice lady and is always willing to help. She explains things very clearly so that everyone will understand. Go to class and study notes and you'll be fine.

This was probably my favorite class i've taken in my life. Turner is incredibly smart and clear. Her teaching ability is second to none. The class is very easy but you will probably learn more than from any other teacher.

She's an amazing teacher. By far one of the best at UM. She is so helpful and very flexible. Just go to class and listen to what she has to say and you'll do well on the exams. The final was a little harder than i expected. Read the cases in the book and that will help a lot too.

Professor Turner is absolutely amazing. She is very nice and knows the material that she teaches very well. The grade consists of 10 quizzes which is 2/3 of the final grade and a final exam which is of moderate difficulty and accounts for 1/3 of the final grade. You really can't go wrong with Turner for BSL212!

By far the best prof to take for this course. Although I think people overstated her easiness, It's pretty easy to get a b in the class, but you have to work for an A. I studied for all of the quizes, attended every class, and studied A LOT for the final. But it is doable. Turner is great though, definitely take her, she truely is a great teacher.

Excellent teacher, extremely nice. She can break anything complicated down into something very simple. She's very open minded about grading on quizzes and exams, and she's extremely helpful with them as well as the paper. She's also more interesting in lectures than most for the subject.

Fantastic teacher. Her examples are clear and simple. The information was actually quite interesting, and it helped that she explained everything very well. It's hard to get an A+ without flat out memorizing everything, but it's very easy to get A- or a B+.

Great teacher! Interesting to listen to, always nice, always understanding. I have wondered why she doesn't go off and make tons of money as a full time lawyer, but I guess it's because she loves to teach. There are 8 quizzes a semester, so about one every 1.5 weeks or so. Very reasonable grader, but pretty much impossible to get a perfect grade.

Amazing professor. Explains everything so clearly and provides great examples. She is not a tough grader, but will be picky with details, so it's hard to get a perfect score. Really wants you to do well and get a good grade. Highly recommended!!

The class isn't a cakewalk and you need to attend, but she lays out the material in an easy-to-understand way and tells you what to study for the tests. If you have to take this class, take her!

Gives great life long legal advice as well. Surprised she doesn't work full time as a lawyer because she's that good. If you try very hard, you will do well.

Make sure you read the cases before class, but otherwise her notes are perfect, covering the material in a way that is both thorough and relatable. Took BSL212 Honors. This is a class you really have to show up for to understand what is going on, but I didn't read the textbook every week unless I had quizzes coming up. She is very helpful, and if you're confused by something and go see her she will explain it to you well. She knows what she's talking about and is so awesome! The best professor

I LOVE KAREN TURNER!! For real take her above all other teachers she's so awesome. There are 8 quizzes on the chapters and shes super clear about her expectations.

I had Turner for Honors BSL, for regular she is very easy but I do not recommend the honors. We had to write a much more difficult research paper. I ended up with an A but had to spend maybe 30 hours on the paper and at least an additional 20 studying for the final.

Easily the best professor I've had so far. Her lectures are FILLED with information and are so easy to follow along that going to class is not only a MUST but you kind of want to go with how interesting she makes it. The tests are based on the lectures and cases, & easy to pass if you study. TAKE ANY LAW CLASS WITH TURNER! Expect to participate.

Prof Turner is absolutely fantastic. I added a business law minor because of her. She is so helpful and she made everything easy to understand and interesting. When I had some family issues late in the semester she was so accommodating and helpful. She's the best!

TAKE HER! She's incredible! Lecture heavy but very fun and makes them interesting, cares about you as a student, really considerate personally and as a teacher. The class is tricky and she'll make it rigorous but it's so worth it. She's a true gem I have zero regrets with taking her class. Make use of office hours and email bc she's there to help!

There are quizzes about every other week and two writing assignments which arent exactly easy, but if you take good notes and review feedback, youll do fine. This class made me want to pursue law

She's really passionate and knows a lot about law. The quizzes are quite easy despite the material being hard. She makes the concepts engaging. If you want to do well, really pay attention to her lectures and even brush up on the concepts in the book. She's a sweet professor.

Professor Turner is such a genuine person. She really cares about her students and will go above and beyond to explain material to you. Took this class during Rona/hybrid and she was fairly lenient. She is a really good professor. She does not mind explaining things you do not understand, she actually prefers to explain and answer questions. We have a quiz (no test) that are two questions one on each chapter covered in class. The quizzes are fairly easy just take notes in class. However, the final was very hard make sure to learn the material.

She's the sweetest professor I've ever had. Truly cares about her students and will want to help you in any way possible. If you participate and talk to her if having trouble, she will help you without a doubt. Love her! Definitely take if you can!

I didn't enjoy this class that much because I didn't have much interest in the subject, however, Professor Turner is an amazing professor and is willing to help you if you need it. She's also so nice and made the class much more enjoyable because of the kind of person she was.

I enjoyed having Professor Turner for BSL 212. She is able to give lectures clearly, and is always willing to help clarify anything you may be confused about. My only critique is that sometimes she will take off silly points on the quizzes for language and won't explain why. Otherwise, as long as you properly study for everything, you will do well.

Dr. Turner is very kind and gives great lectures. Attendance is required and necessary for the notes. The exams are pretty difficult and require a lot of studying. They are worth 90% of your grade and she does not curve the class so it can be hard to get an A. She takes off points for little things and does not really let you review past exams.

This is my second time taking Professor Turner. BSL420 is a new class and I really enjoyed it. Very interesting topics and exams were easy as long as you attend class and take notes. Grade is made up of 3 exams, a discussion post, and attendance. I definitely recommend this class!

She will answer every single question you ask, no matter how "stupid" you think it might be. She explains the content very clearly so there is no confusion. Karen Turner is a great teacher. Her class is lecture-heavy. There is no assigned homework. The way she teaches is straightforward, and she consistently gives time for questions. All you have to do is study the outlines and read/remember the court cases, and you will do well.

Karen turner is undoubtedly the best bsl 212 professor here. I would deadass take a bullet for her. Her class isnt easy but if you study before quizzes it shouldnt be too bad. She is always happy to re explain things untill you understand.

Professor Turner is one of the best professors I have had here at UM. Her lectures are super engaging and she makes you want to learn more about corporate law. The tests can be hard if you do not study properly, but as long as you stay up to date on textbook readings and take good notes, this class should be a relatively straight-forward A.

The 5.0 ratings are because she is very nice and very knowledgeable. If you want to learn in specific detail the inner workings of Contract Law, take professor Turner. Tests are memorization ... an absurd amount of memorization. You will understand the law well after taking professor turner, but how much do you want to increase your stress level?

Turner's absolutely awesome - take her if you can for a BSL class. She makes the lectures interesting, super nice person, and is a fair grader. 90% of the grade is made up of three exams, but as long as you study enough you'll be fine.

Prof. Turner knows her stuff and is always happy to help if you get stuck. The class is memorization-heavy, but using unstuckstudy alongside the textbook really helped me ace the quizzes. Definitely take this class if you want to understand contract law in depth.

The few bad ratings are laughable, clearly from lazy students. If it's not obvious, the 110+ 5 star ratings speak for professor Turner. She is the goat. After the first quiz you should realize how to get an A on the rest of them. My recommendation: do not read the book chapter until right before quizzes. Maximizes success and minimizes workload.
