This class is very boring. It's not her fault but the material sucks. Tests come directly from her powerpoint slides. Easy B if you study.
great teacher, doesnt care if you come to class all material is on web ct. study the night before a test and make a easy b or c
No Comments
Boring material, but tests are easy if you study the powerpoint slides.
Really nice prof, will work with your schedule-easy A if you study slides AND read. Definitely the prof to take for this class-no doubt.
zzzzzzz......she could spice it up a bit, material was a little drab, you can't just stand up there and talk in the same tone for 75 mins.
Don't have to go to class and can get an A by studying her slides. Class is just if you want someone to read them for you bc the material is very easy and basic if you know anything about computers.
Never went to class except the first week and on test days. Just study the slides the night before and you will have an easy B.
The material covered in class is very very boring, however if you study the powerpoint slides and reference them to the text the day before the test. Your sure to get an A.
Study power point slides and text book link tests for this class.
Tests are over her powerpoint slides, material is very dry. Doesnt take attendance and works with you if you have a legitimate emergency on a test day.
Nice, helpful, seems like she cares, gets grades back to you as soon as possible...just study the powerpoint slides and you will do fine, everything is straight from the P.P. and she will tell you in class if you don't need to know something. The class is alittle boring but not her fault.
Tests are very easy. Study the powerpoint slides and read the chapters. She is a sweet lady, cares about her students, and is helpful. keeps class informed about grades at all times. Very boring material, but easy A.
This class is easy...you will not need a book either. All tests come from her slides, and some of the test questions are copied from on-line practice quizzes (there is a link to all practice quizzes on her WebCT). You'll do fine if you only show up the day of the test too!
Great professor. Interested in her students. Provides numerous resources (slides, practice exams, and textbook) for course. Those who attend class do somewhat better, especially on exam 2, but attendance not required.
Very boring class...but an easy A. Show up for the first day and the test days, no need for a book. Don't go to class becuase you will fall asleep and hurt her feelings.
ok teacher...boring most of the time simply because you can study right off the slides and have some common sense. class is not mandatory also which is a plus.
EASY EASY, Just go 1st day and grab syllabus then come back on exam days. Dont buy book, just study powerpoints. Easy B
Easy class. All her tests are based on the Power Point Slides. You don't have to go to class but study the Power Point notes. Very helpful as well. Cheers and enjoy
Great Professor, very understanding and helpful... will give extra credit opportunities, tests based off online quiz (optional) & powerpoint slides
The class is easy and Dr. Williams is such a great professor. She smiles and focuses on you when you have questions. Very friendly. The material is dull, but not her fault. Gives extra credit so making anything below a "B" is just lazy. You won't need the book. I highly recommend her.
ZZZZZZZZZ....the most boring class ever. Dont go to class. Go to extra credit and show up for tests. I went to 4 or 5 classes all semester and have a perfect score of a 100 due to the xtra credit.
Very easy class. Dr. Williams is very helpful and approachable. Just study the powerpoint slides and (like everyone said) you don't have to attend lectures. If you have any computer background, this class will be a breeze.
great professor, easy class. test material comes from powerpoint slides.NO NEED TO WASTE MONEY ON A BOOK! extra credit available and easy. Attend class if you want to know what material will not be covered on test.
This lady is very nice, she gives alot of extra credit, and is very understanding if you want to take test early. Do not buy book, study pp slides, and do all the extra credit and make A. Do little study and study little make B.
Easy class. No need to buy the book or go to class. Study the powerpoint slides for an easy B.
Tests come directly from powerpoint and practice tests. She sets you up will all the material to make a good grade. Even though she never takes attendance- there are 15 optional extra credit points added to your final avg. Would take for future IS classes.
Great Professor! Easy course.
Dr. Williams,is a nice lady. The tests are hard so prepare to study. Take it at a junior college if you can.
super nice lady, took this class over the internet, highly recommended, just do the lessons and the questions are exactly what are on the tests, tutor Krishna also very nice and super helpful
she is nice, easy B
nice prof. attendance not required. she reads and explains in great detail points from the powerpoint slides. study slides and you have an easy grade. she also assigns extra credit assignments to help before each test. final is not comprehensive.
She's a nice lady, if u just study the slides on webct then you will get "B"
tests were a bit hard after the first one..you've got to study. reasonable B, more effort for the A. study the powerpoints. btw, she said we needed to get some CD for the class--in the end we only used it for extra credit so dont bother getting it with the book (or at all)
She does not know how to keep up with grades. She was always changing what we needed for our in class assignments. Her test are nothing like her power point slides. The only good thing about her class is the extra credit.
Very nice lady. Tests are a lil hard after the first one. Gives good amount of extra credit assignments, and they do make a difference. Attendance not required. Lectures are a lil boring, or maybe its cuz i took the class at night. Easy B, study a lil more and easy A.
this class was very boring & attendance not req., so nobody really went. she basically reads the power point slides to you, which i can do at home. tests were kinda hard, but she allows extra credit. would not take this teacher again.
The material makes this class 'dry' not the professor. It's a great class because you don't need to attend regularly to do well! Just study on your own time. I got an A, and MANY people only got B's because they were literally too lazy to do the idiot proof extra credit assignments. Do yourself a favor and Boost your GPA by taking this class.
She sucks. To get an A you needed an 89. I ended up with an 88.5. She did not round my grade. She tells you to study the powerpoints. Don't listen to her. Read the chapters and the powerpoints. She will do what it takes to keep you from an A. She will try to help you with a B, but not an A. Take this class with someone else!
Very very very booooring class. Luckily you don't really need to go. Just read the book and know terminology. Tests are tricky, but she offers a lot of extra credit.
Boring boring boring. I went to class a total of 7 times and got an easy B. Just study the powerpoints and use the quizes she gives as study guides.
This teacher is soo sweet. I felt bad bc nobody goes to her classes. she puts the powerpoints on webct so u dont need to go to class. this class is easy if u study. she tells u when u have to come to class and gives u extra credit.
Great Teacher!she makes the class real intersting! study the book chapters and powerpoints to get a good grade on the tests and quizes. Her lectures are very helpful too! You learn alot in the information systms field because the lectures have some of her personal background explanations in the field. The hardware lecture was awsome! i loved her!!
Very good professor. Class is optional because she tells you when you need to go. She give a lot of extra credit so a B is pretty much guarented. Definitely take this professor.
This teacher is very good!! You do not have to go to class because she tells you when you need to attend. If you read the book and the notes and mainly look at the vocabulary you should get an A in the class!
Very simple class. As long as you have basic PC understanding and go to class you'll make an A. Exams were directly from PPTs.
Great professor......just study the powerpoints and you'll have your A!!!!!!
She is a wonderful lady. Very interesting!!! Everyone is so attentive....and she will always listen to your ideas!! she rocks my socks!!!!
Super easy class is you know even a little bit about computers and networking. Don't really need the book or to go to class. Everything can be learned from the PPT's that she posts for every chapter. In class she basically reads the PPT's to you.
A little advice if you're not a straight-A student: do the extra credit. Can be a letter grade difference. I did use the book for the quizzes, and the CD for certain assignments. She is straight-up with what she wants. She even let me take tests ahead of time. Very understanding. Easy A/B.
The quizzes, while open book, Id rank harder than most of the quizzes I’ve taken my whole life. In fact, I only got a perfect score on one of them. Her test questions are just as difficult and strangely worded. Her teaching is clear and concise, but she's better at putting me to sleep than Nyquil. The only upside is attendance isn’t mandatory.
Lectures are quite mundane, however, are also important because the material on the test is stressed in her lectures. Take notes in class and you should receive an easy "A." Fail to go to class, and be prepared to study power points and maybe even the book. Quizzes are conducted on webct and are open book--although they are quite hard.
boring, but very easy. Do not need to attend class
Her lectures are boring, she reads right off of the slides. You must read the book i order to do the quizzes, but they are easy. Print the notes and read over them before the exam. You should be fine, it's a pretty easy class.
This woman is very smart. She does not read off the slides and is very knowledgeable in the subject. The work is not hard, all quizzes open book and on WebCT. Tests a bit harder. Must read PPT and book. Quizzes don't help on the test much.
She is a sweet person, but her class is boring ONLY because of the material. She explains things well and tries to add a few intersting points. The quizzes are open book and the tests are straight from the power points. You don't have to go to class because the notes are on web ct. Easy A if you study.
Easy A if you study the PP slides. Don’t need to come to class just study the pp slides and you will be fine. Assigns quizzes that are open book and assignments that must be turned in. Class is very boring but an easy A. Dr. Williams is a very personable person and willing to help if you ask – she is not out to fail anyone!
test were pretty hard since its alot of information but do all the quizzes and hw and extra credit assignments (gives alot of extra credit) and test wont even matter.. easy b.
Professor is nice but class is boring. I don't think she is up to date with technology so it's hard to believe she's teaching an IS class. Print out and study PP slides. Quizzes online are open book. She also gives assignments from cd in book (difficult to get access to cd's if your book didn't come with one)
I only went to a couple of classses and will end up with an A, she's an interesting speaker because she at least seems to enjoy what she's talking about but there is no incentive to go to class. You can get by without the textbook as most of her questions come from the powerpoints, but not all the definitions you need are in them. Offers some EC.
Haven't gone to class since the first month and have an easy A. I read every chapter and as soon as I read it I took the online quiz and never got below a 95. Study straight from the book or PP and you can get an A on the test. Limited EC but you really don't need it. Extremely boring professor but mostly because of the subject. Take her for an A.
Really great teacher. Her lectures can be a bit of a bore, but super easy class (as long as you study the material). I recommend this class/teacher to anyone.
exams were a bit lengthy but doable.I pulled of an A and only went to about 6 lectures all semester. Attendance only mandatory to do 'in class' assignments which was watching a video and answering 4 or 5 questions.I didnt do the extra credit but 3 people in the class told me it made the difference between them getting an A or B.
She's only gives out 4 regular exams the whole semester and gives you the material on what you need to know. It's overall simple. If you are able to make the best out of this class, then you'll learn a lot instead of doing it half ass.
Dr. Williams is passionate about her work. The subject matter can be a challenge if its not your major. Exams can surprize you even if you study. Extra credit given and will make a difference in your final grade. Stay ahead of the lectures by doing the quizes. Strong recommend.
I really liked this Professor until I fell short of a earning a "B" in her class by .3 of a point and after asking her for .3 of a point to receive a B for the semester she said "NO". I think that teachers should focus on helping the students for their future, would .3 of a point really hurt her that much???
Excellent teacher! Just use the textbook on her online quizzes and study the pp slides for the test and you'll get an A.
She is a great teacher who is teaching an entry level class. Althought the class can be boring, it is not her fault. Lectures are via PPT and follow the book. I learned all a lot about IS systems. This Prof. is organized and does what she promises. I would take her again
Class is so boring, requires a lot of reading. Teacher tries to make it fun but the class itself is way beyond stinks! Don't take the class if you don't need to! karen is great teacher thou..
Very boring lectures, you basically do not need to attend. Posts all slides online, tells you when you need to o to class on webct for in class assignments. Tests cover everything in the book, mostly definitions and off her slides. Quizzes are easy and out of the book before each test. Easy but dont overlook the material.
You have to buy the book and read her slides other then that you dont even have to show up to class.
She is a wonderful lady. The material is a little boring and outdated, but she tries her best to make things pleasant for her students. She gives most of her exam questions from the powerpoint slides. Extra credits are also offered from time to time. You don't have to be good with computers to get a good grade in this course. She is purely AWESOME.
Really nice lady, BORING material. Reads directly off of powerpoints, which she posts on WebCT. Attendance not mandatory. Gives a few easy assignments and extra credit. You must read book to do quizzes. She says not to study quizzes for tests, but I found that some test ?s are quiz ?s, word for word. Study pwrpts & quizzes, you should get an A.
I agree with the comments before me. The material is very dry. She did the best she could for a boring subject. Attendance not necessary if you study the slides but I found that when I attended I definitely made a better grade on the tests.
Great professor. Lectures from powerpoint but book is needed for chapter quizzes. Tests are basically vocabulary based. Gives out a lot of extra credit. Highly recommend her!
Professor Williams is extremely helpful. Unlike other professors she seems to care about how her students are individually progressing in class. The online modules take awhile to get used to, but if you take the time than this class is a sure A.
SUPER NICE!!! she was always doing everything she could to help us understand. Tests were a little tricky, but I could have studied more. She will do everything she can to help you and responds quickly to e-mails. overall, GREAT teacher!
Sooooo boring, but pretty easy. No need to go to class except for in class assignments. Tests come directly from powerpoints and you only need your book for the online quizzes. Only con: there is SOOO much information on the powerpoints (avg 55ish slides a chapter)it's hard to narrow for what's on the test.
Soooo boring. You don't need to go to class she will use all of her time plus more the she goes off the powerpoints they are long up 70 slides per chapter. Test very broad no review so you don't know what to expect it seems easy but ends up being trick questions. Bonus she gives lots of extra credit, required to take 12 quizzes, and 4 asg. online
Easiest IS professor hands down. Exams are multiple choice and centered around vocabulary mostly. Very, very simple. There's a quiz for ever chapter. They are done through Blackboard and really easy. Assignments are simple too (ie. Watch a video in class and answer some simple questions). Gives tons of extra credit. Would recommend her for an A.
Prof. Williams is awesome! She is really enthusiastic about the material she teaches, is really helpful in letting you know what to study for on the exams, and very friendly! Just print out her slides, follow along, and do great on the chapter quizzes and you should be golden!
Great class and great professor! She is very clear, you always know the material and what is going on in the class. You know what to study and she does her best to make somewhat boring material fun to learn. Grade is made from Tests, online quiz, some other Asgmts. and extra credit. What a fun class why cant they all be like this professor!
I found the material boring but the class itself is easy. Dr. Williams makes sure to point out what will be on the test but attendance is not really mandatory. I missed quite a few classes and made an A. Do the extra credit if you think it will help.
Took the internet course, and it's very straightforward. She's there to help if you need it, but you set your own pace for the classes. I finished the entire semester in a month.
Class mostly needed by Business Majors. Easy A+! You only go on the first day of class then once a month after that just to take test. You work at your own pace so this is a easy class to balance out other difficult classes. Just dont miss the test dates once a month. Only have to buy the lab on-line which was $70
Goes over power points in class, and states what is most likely to be on the test. Mostly Vocabulary. Does have other assignments due during the semester and extra credit as well. Good teacher in a straight forward class. Attendance not mandatory but it would make the tests a whole lot easier.
Can be an easy A. Lectures with power points and does tell what could be on the test.
She teaches in straoght forward way, post power points on blackboard and tells you what can be on the test. Extra credit available.
Very organized and straight-forward professor. Read chapters for online quizzes and study her Powerpoint for the tests. She offers extra credit and test help if you need it. Highly recommend!
this class was SO boring! can't blame dr. williams though, as she was just teaching the material. online quizzes are ridiculous and straight from the book so you need to have it. power points are about 50 slides per chapter, but the majority of tests come from them. attendance not mandatory, but she does offer extra credit. would take again.
Very easy class, I highly recommend her. Exams are straight out of the power points she provides, just study those and you will be pass her exams. Each chapter has a quiz that goes along with it and are due the day of the exam, gives plenty of extra credit and a few assignments that are extremely easy. Take her class!!! Easy A
I don't know why she have so many good reviews because what she does in class is basically read off the slides. No information or knowledge added to her lectures. Attendance is not mandatory is a plus. However, you learn nothing from this prof. And quizzes are very confusing even when they are based on the book.
She's awesome. the first IS class is just terminology, the quizzes are online and open book and the tests are straight from the slides. she gives extra credit in class just watching a video. Totally recommend her.
She is the nicest little lady. She tries to break down the information so everyone can have real examples of what she is talking about. I would gladly take one of her classes again. The tests were straight from the slides and extra credit was given a few times throughout the semester. She even tells you what days the extra credit will be.
Professor Williams was a great professor. She presented everything well and was organized. Only downside was the class was extremely boring.
Professor Williams is super nice, but this class will bore you to death. My beef with her is that she gives quizzes and tells you not to study them for tests. The material on the quiz is irrelevant. Kind of a waste of time. Also she talks verbatim from slides. I can do that by myself at home! Others than that's she's okay.
Very easy class. Study the slides for the tests and take the quizzes online and you will do great. She gives multiple opportunities for easy extra credit.
Seriously, if you can't pass this course, you should just drop out. There is so much extra credit and she drops the lowest assignment and quiz grades (which you need the book for). Her tests aren't too bad, mostly vocabulary, nothing specific. She is sweet and helpful (always posting reminders). Her class sure is boring, but attendance is optional.
She really knows her stuff but lectures are SO boring. I wouldn't count this so much as an easy A. Powerpoints contain all information but she doesnt help to prepare for test. Overall shes okay
I'm a student at another university and was taking classes for the summer here. One thing that Im used to is professors caring about their students. Sadly, Williams is not one of those professors. Quizzes can be found online, HW is a joke, Tests are straight out of the slides. She just talked and could care less if you listen. I'm very disappointed
Hated this class! Had to come to class to get extra credit but all she did was read straight from the slides.
There are 4 test! including the final. Each class is just lecture over the powerpoints that she provides on black board.. attendance is not mandatory, however some there are some inclass assignments you wont want to miss, but she will email you in advance to let you know when the assignments are. Each test is over 3 chapters... there are ALOT of materal in each chapter, this can make it tough. IF YOU STUDY 2-3 days.. you will pass. just alot of material, not really too intresting (computers, bleh) she is really funny and nice.. the assignments in class are gaurenteed 100's as long as you pay attention and do them.. i had missed 5-6 classes. and still got a B in the course. i would recomend her! not a hard course.
she is pretty lovely. 4 test 50 questions, 6 easy assignments, tons of extra credit about 20 %. ocassionally gives attendance extra credit. the best and easiest professor. Don't buy the textbook, you wont need it, bunch of powerpoints to print out.
Great professor! Take her so sure super easy class. Just read the powerpoints and do the assignments which there are very few of. Plus tons of extra credit!
4 exams, final exam is NOT cumulative, LOTS of extra credit. Talk to her and she will help you out, I didn't study for any of the exams and still ended up with a B, tests are straight from the slides and clear cut, she will go over exams with you and that helps because they are all the exact same format.
It's a boring class, I guess as far as boring classes go she isn't so bad but really it's just a bad subject. The group projects are graded rough but the test are mostly definition based so easy to study for and showing up to class is an easy A for a portion and the same with the presentation. She also allows a retake of a test not a replacement
Easy A, just do the assignment. She's very helpful she gives opportunity for extra credit even if this class doesn't need it and she'll send reminders about assignments.
I am usually not good with online courses but this course allows you to do it at your own time and pace. You are just required to complete everything before a date, which is usually in a month. She always emails students to remind them of due dates. This class tests you over Microsoft. You have 4 exams over Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Dr. Williams is a helpful professor. The course is at pace, so completing the full course ahead of time is a must. She is very helpful at reminding when certain due dates are approaching. The material is not difficult at all. It is definitely a easy A course.
This class is online and totally self paced so the professor doesn't really do much, but she does have a meeting at the beginning of the semester where she very clearly lines out the expectations for the class. She basically lets you redo everything as much as you want (even tests if you email her) and she gives lots of extra credit.
Easy professor. Much extra credit was given that I didn't even end up needing. During the first class she even said "this class is designed to be a GPA booster" (meaning its so easy you're expected to receive an A).
4 Exams, 4 Group projects. Exams are detailed so reading the book is a must (LOTS of reading). But Dr Williams is sweet and flexible and I would take a class she is teaching again.
Very easy online class. However, Ms Williams was not helpful at all. The first time I contacted her she told me that she has hundreds of students and acted like I was bothering her. Second time I contacted her I felt that her response was disrespectful and condescending. She did not care to help me or answer questions when I reached out to her.
Easiest A you can get at UTSA. Any rating other than a 5 is out of pure laziness by the student. The assignments are literally 5th grade material and you get 3 attempts at each test and quiz. Self paced, I finished in 3 weeks.
She is a great teacher. IS 3003 is easy and based off of vocabulary. There are 4 exams based off of the power point slides she goes over in class, and extra credit on all exams. Theres also online quizzes and a 4 hw assignments. Easy A if you study.
Good Professor. This class is one of the easiest classes that offered in UTSA, should be an easy "A".
IS 1403 is the easiest class you will ever take. She makes her online class self paced so I finished within 2 WEEKS! Makes it clear exactly what she expects from her students. EASY A
Prof Williams is ok. She seems to know what she's talking about, but its strange being taught such a modern topic but an older professor. She teaches right off the slides and posts the slides online, so most people don't go to class. The entire course is vocab, so if you're good at memorization you'll do fine.
You don't have to show up to class which is a huge plus. Her class isn't difficult. Her tests compromise of a bunch of vocab words. There is a lot of material that you have to study for her exams but if you're good at memorization, it's not bad. Like I said, her exams are just a bunch of vocabulary words and memorization.
Professor Williams was a great teacher she really understood what she was talking about. However, she will fill the class time every time and will sometimes go over the time slightly so expect that. Attendance isn't necessary though. You don't need the book just look at the slides.
Took her course online. It was clear, and simple, but the entire tests are vocabulary. Also, REVIEW YOUR TEST RESULTS. Out of 4 tests we took, I found errors with her answer key on 3. On one test I was incorrectly graded on 6 questions- which was worth 24 points!
Reads from her PP. All the information is in them. You can easily pass this class.
I was hesitant about this class on the first days because she is an older lady, however it turned out to be one of the best professors i ever had. She is very sweet and willing to help out students, very clear on instructions, gives amazing lectures, and explains the material really well, and gives several chances for extra credit.
Believe me, this class was not an easy A. However, Professor Williams was extremely nice enough in terms of giving extra credit (there is extra credit for every exam). We had to take 4 exams in total, and all I needed was a 38 on the last exam to maintain my A, so make sure to do good on the first couple of exams. Overall, it was a great experience
Easy class if you STAY ON TRACK AND DO NOT GET LAZY! I can not stress that enough! If you clack off and wait until the last minute to do everything, trust me, it will not work out in your favor. But if you do things ahead, you'll get an A no doubt. She's really great about sending out reminder emails. Super nice lady!
Overall easy class. You need the book as each chapter has online homework, challenge, and quiz that you are graded on. Tests are over powerpoints and the homework questions. You don't need to attend class if you stay on top of the online assignments and her blackboard announcements for in class assignments.
Easy A as long as you show up and study the powerpoint slides before exams.
Dr. Williams is a great professor. If you show up to class and put attention to her lectures you will get an easy A.
Super nice, super sweet lady. And super easy class. She makes the exams really easy, homeworks and quizzes are easy. Very caring for her students and makes sure you learn everything you need to by the time its the exam. She's very clear and specific on what to study for the exam, very helpful. Shes the greatest
Karen Williams is responsible for hundreds of students per semester. However; she has replied to all my emails in a timely manner. In addition, there are TA lab hours that will work with you to help you increase your grade as long as you go to them before the assignments are due. Easy Class on Microsoft office apps. Id take Ms. Williams again.
Easy class, plus she is a great professor because if you have any questions you can just email her and she will respond right away. She will help you in any problem you have.
So far the class is easy, yet the lectures are very boring,i find myself involuntary sleeping, she puts way to much detail rather than simplifying her lectures, she's nice but very non-lenient, I have a an accommodation rightfully granted to me that allows for me to have slightly more time on exams, and she denied me because of delayed paperwork.
Professor Williams came to each class prepared with lecture material that was entirely her own-- not just regurgitating lines from the textbook. The homework and quizzes are entirely from the textbook. The exams, however, are all from the PowerPoints in class. Study the PowerPoints and your class notes and you'll ace the tests.
take williams for IS3003. every week there are fairly easy online assignments due (all answers are on quizlet), attendance isn't necessary (i haven't gone to class in a month and i ace the exams), there are four exams worth 70% of your grade that are very, very vocab-based and are based completely on her powerpoints. very easy A.
Super easy class. Just make sure that you stay on top of it as the work can be very time consuming but the material is good to learn and very easy to get an A,
She's a sweet lady but it's so hard to pay attention in class because she talks nonstop and the information is kinda boring. The tests are straight from the powerpoints so if you study those you'll do fine. There's also online homework due before every test but it's super easy.
Dr. Williams is a great professor! PPT lectures and videos each class and she will bring computer stuff to class for students to checkout. Simply review the PPT slides for the exams and you will get an A. No outside readings or anything. Very nice and funny lady. I would recommend.
Spring 2020: Lots of texts, but online and work at your own pace; however, the key is to get ahead and complete as soon as possible. The only way to fail or do poorly in this class is to wait until the last minute to complete your work. Possible to finish this class in a month.
If you keep up with the work, the class is straight forward. Reading, a few videos, then some exercises to show comprehension. A pretty easy online class but can be a little boring at times.
Another class taught by google. Super easy, didn't read anything as everything is online already. Super blow-off class will take an hour to to be done with everything for the month. She doesn't open everything at once so you do have to keep up with some dates but she gives lots of notices on when things are due. Tests are not proctored.
I've taken this professor for 1403 and 3003 and have loved her class both times. Her coursework is clear and organized. Almost everything can be studied through quizlet. A plus is also that her quizzes and exam assignments are not proctored. Easy course.
Dr. Williams is an average teacher. It seems that professors are no longer teaching anymore while everything is moved online. The class consists of reading the textbook, doing homework, and taking a quiz. All she provides are slides made from the textbook agency that just give a general understanding of the chapters. It is just busywork.
Professor Williams does a great job keeping you on track for the class. She is very helpful, but my class was all online and the material was from the system. In short this is a typical online class with a professor that will help you. A solid combination.
For this class, all that's really necessary is to read the textbook in order to complete the activities. By doing this you set yourself up for success. Since this class was fully online, being able to reach her with questions was super helpful! Super amazing teacher and it doesn't get better than her :)
If you just study the PowerPoints this class is an easy A. Shes a great teacher who explains things well. There are easy assignments due each week along with the tests.
If your good at memorizing 50+ slides you will get an A on the tests. I'm not good at memorization, so I have a B in the class. For the quizzes you have to read the textbook to get good grades on them, but for the tests its the opposite and you have to read the powerpoints.
Great professor. She cares about students' success, gives extra credit. Exams are not that hard if you have any basic idea about computers and some common sense. Expect quizzes - open book, plus video quizzes that are very easy. Take notes on lectures because she uses examples from her lectures on exams.
Solid online class. Read textbook and complete assignments and will pass with good grade.
You could tell she really loves her job, but for IS 3003 its over 100 slides per chapter with a lot of information to remember. what's nice is her extra credit weighs as much as the exams, so if you don't learn from listening to lectures, do the easy extra credit, and all the homework and you'll pass the class.
Dr. Williams is so nice! She gives lots of extra credit, and the assignments are consistent every week and don't require too much time. I disliked the book, but reading the chapters each week makes the work easy. The case studies are pretty interesting, and assignments are relevant to the exams. Definitely recommend her and her class!
Easy A if you do the work. It's weekly modules and is very doable if you manage your time well. Tests are pretty much just quiz questions and module questions repeated.
Pros: she gives reminders several times a week of upcoming work, class is organized, classwork is straightforward Cons: SO much info to memorize for such a broad topic, no lectures, tests questions are more difficult than the quizzes/reading material, tests are closed book, class is self-taught Super informative class but really boring material.
Quizzes every week, 4 exams, and assignments each week. Assignments are time-consuming but very easy all the answers are found in textbook. All work is done through MyLab and it is about $110. Overall good choice of professor!
Straight forward online class. Easy to follow and great online class setup. Highly recommend for a 5 week summer class.
Loved this class. really organized and easy to keep up with work. if you can choose this class! Everything is in the book.
Professor Williams is passionate about what she teaches. Attendance is not mandatory, but sometimes she'll mention something in class and have it be extra credit on a test. Homework takes like 2 hours to complete. I would study for tests the day of and get above 90 for each of them. Very easy material to grasp and many extra credit opportunities.
Our exams were based on powerpoints instead of the online textbook. Yes, you do need the access key for hw but its easy ;) (quizlet) Lecture isn't mandatory but go since she goes over the power points. Exams are mostly vocab.
Prof Williams was a great communicator and always made sure we knew when assignments were due so we didn't miss them. The class is thru Pearson and is super easy
This is an easy class. The homework assignments are easy and you can get three weeks worth of homework done by dusk. The quizzes and tests are straightforward and you can get high grades with little studying. Overall, this class is an easy A. Some people on here make this class to be harder than it actually is but this class isn't even that hard.
Class was not easy for me, barely got an A-. Three short assignments and open-book quiz every week. Class has 4 closed-book exams over 3 chapters each. Provides extra credit. No lecture videos, only a textbook/slides. Exam questions are from a test bank, so you essentially have to memorize the textbook. She is nice and responds to emails quickly.
She's really chill and sends out an email every week reminding what's due. A lot of reading but very doable. This is an easy class and she's a good professor for it. I'd take again.
There are a lot of assignments but they are all super easy. Overall, super easy class and she sends out reminders of whats due frequently.
I literally can't give a higher or lower score for this professor because she barely existed for this course. Though she posted announcements and stuff, the course work itself was all done through a program. Information systems is such an important field for the future, and I felt this class didn't do it justice.
Super easy, only like 4 assignments a week. She doesn't make all the material available at the beginning of the semester so you can't work very far ahead but aside from that is was a standard online course.
This teacher made the course pretty easy to understand and get through. There is a lot of homework, but it's mainly easy and she always make sure to remind you beforehand. There's a lot of extra credit as well and a clear grading scheme. I even skipped the case studies and still got an A, so she clearly wants her students to succeed.
You have to purchase access code for this course and eBook $120. She has very clear due dates and is organized. However, you just read a chapter, complete 3-4 assignments, then the quiz. She isn't present or interactive. One chapter due a week, due dates Sunday @11:59pm.
This class was one of, if not, my hardest class thus far. No lecture videos so you're learning from a PowerPoint. Exam questions are very vague. For example, chapter 9 we're supposed to answer questions over Avon products but there is no mention of them ANYWHERE in the PowerPoint. You infer your answers based on info from the slides, which is risky
Opens assignments weekly so you can't get ahead however very easy course. Assignments can be completed in an hour or so/light workload. No problems throughout the course, not a zoom course.
Karen Williams definitely understands her subject she teaches and she does it well. Her class was an easy one for me to pass. The homework aren't to hard to do. It involves the chapter from the textbook. Her exams come from the slides she goes over during the lectures. Exams require notes from the slides. Take notes and you'll be a-okay!
Super easy class! About 4 assignments due every week, but it should not take longer than an hour to get it done! 100% recommend this professor, you won't regret it.
So sweet and really cared about her students and was passionate about the classes. Classes were always fun as she brought in cool tech to show us. Extra credit available, hw 30 min tops, textbook required. Just study for tests and you are good. Always posted lecture online incase you missed. Didnt allow people to watch over zoom in real time.
Dr. Williams is such a nice professor. The course is all through Pearson online so most of it is self taught, but she is always available if you have problems. She truly cares about her students and does what she can to help you. Highly recommend!
Very good! Would take again. Lectures help a lot so go to them.
Amazing professor! Great class, 10/10 would take again.
Easy course with a helpful professor. Assignments are manageable, and lectures are worth attending. unstuck ai was great for study prep alongside the textbook.
I enjoyed this course. Professor is kind, and willing to be flexible with you. Very sweet and funny. Although attendance is not mandatory, attending the lectures does help you understand the material better. Tests are structured in almost a “vocabulary test” format. Overall, loved her!! would take one of her courses again.
Class was online and each week there was a quiz, HW, 5 min mandatory video, and sometimes a discussion post. Easy to forget about this class, and noncumulative tests.
There are 2 assignments each week that take about 45 minutes. There are 4 in-person exams. There is no final, and she doesn't drop any tests. The class is memorization, so if that's hard for you, pick a different professor. I would definitely not skip any classes because she tells you what's on the tests during lectures.
Nicee professor, very sweet and easy class
She uses a Pearson textbook for the whole course. You read the chapter, then do the hw, video exercise, and take the quiz each week. Exam after 4 chapters with a total of 4 exams, including the final, with the final being non-cumulative. Easy class; you just have to read a lot. would take again.
Easiest class I've ever taken in my life. There is absolutely no outrageous amount of difficult homework; only a couple simple assignments due every Sunday which she posts in advance. They take about 30 mins to complete. Love this professor, I absolutely recommend if you need to take this class.
I loved professor Williams! She was very straight forward on the information we had to know. She recorded all of her lectures and online options for those who couldnt make it to class that day. You can tell she really likes teaching her subject. Exams were in person no scantron provided. Definitely take her if you can!
Such a sweet and accommodating professor!
This class was super engaging with the content. It was easy to learn and there weren't a ton of assignments which is great for busy students!
Great Professor! Everything in class lectures is exactly on exams, she provides all resources needed to succeed in this course and is very passionate about students learning. Not heavy on homework. Lots of extra credit opportunities!
Sweet professor, homework and exams are really straight forward and simple. No tricky exams, its just basic definitions
