She is such a great professor. She is always there for people and is always willing to go that extra mile for her students. She is very sweet and is a very fair grader. She hardly gives homework, and her paper topics are very easy.

im having her this semester and shes a very nice teacher!she does not like when we talk alot because she likes to get around to things before we start inclass convo but shes very nice and willing to help anyone with anything possible! i would recommend her to anyone and i hope that i have her again in the future!

I thought she was a good professor,and her teaching methods are easy and clear. Just make sure your on time and you don't miss more than 3 classes.

everyone who is here bashing her is NUTS! she is an awesome english teacher and clarifies anything you didnt know. she makes class fun! shes NOT hard at all. you do 4 papers and she explains EVERYTHING and helps you for weeks! if you fail, its your fault not hers. she gave extra credit for going to see a performance in school for only 5 minutes!!!

I loved her class she is very helpfull in everyway. i would love to have her again. she takes time out for any student who needs help and give them good easy chances to help brin up their grade. either way she is a great easy teacher. take her class you wont regret it

I had her this spring semester. She is the best english professor I ever had. She is very lenient and fair. She wants her students to do the best they can and she makes very helpful comments on our papers. I would advise anyone in their first year of college to take her class.

If there is one thing that I appreciate about Dr. Zielony, it's how she takes the time to sit down with you one on one about your papers and helps you to improve them. Some of her comments on the papers are a bit extraneous, but other than that, she is a very nice English professor. Don't hesitate to make appointments with her if you need help.

Dr. Zielony's class was a joy to attend. Her class was interesting and the discussions were engaging. She truly cares about her students, and bent over backwards to give them every opportunity to improve their grade. Prior to this class I had no interest in literature. After completing it, I found myslelf wanting to read more. An asset to UCC.

Dr. Zielony is an excellent professor. This is the only class I actually enjoyed at UCC. I am so thrilled I had the distinct pleasure of learning under her tutelage. She is straightforward, funny, and always willing to go beyond what the textbook says. Wish I could have taken more classes with her.

Professor Zielony is probably the best professor in UCC. She will help you with everything you need. Just don't be immature . she's a great teacher. You'll enjoy her class.

I don't think I could love this woman more. she is so involved and so helpful. anyone in my class who took her for granted is crazy. you can be absent three times. hand things in on time, or the first day you're back. she doesn't give too many assignments, so do them. she'll help you and proofread anything. funny, interesting, etc. take her class!!

Zielony is a decent teacher. You cannot miss too many classes, she will fail you for it. Do not be prideful with her, she will kick you out the class. If you frequently text during class, this isn't the class for you. If you follow her rules, you will pass. She gives you a decent amount of work, class discussion is interesting. She is nice overall.

She is a straight forward teacher. Attendance is mandatory. Her class isn't difficult. She is very helpful, but doesn't like immaturity or lateness. DO NOT USE CELLPHONE IN CLASS. There is group discussion/work. There are two main papers, and a short response to each reading. DON'T be disrespectful. She is an amazing professor.

Dr. Zielony is a fantastic professor. Take her if you actually have an interest in becoming a better writer. She does not tolerate immaturity (nor should she in a college setting)and asks for respect in her class. Her class is interesting and she helps anyone that asks. Stupid and disruptive people in your class will sour your experience.

She is probably my favorite english teacher ever. She makes the class fun and not too hard while still teaching and giving papers. if you aren't the best writer ever shes very helpful. She worked with me and let me hand in a late paper. all around it feels like she cares. lots of disscusion but no pressure to talk a lot.

Really great Professor! She is funny, very flexible, and makes class discussions interesting. The class is easy if you do all the work when you are supposed to. There are journals, responses, and 4 essays throughout the semester. She is very helpful and will always make a meeting with you if you need extra help. I am taking her again for ENG 102.

She is really strict on attendance. If you miss a certain amount of days she will fail you. She never lets you out of class on time she likes to keep you extra.

Zielony was one of my favorite teachers at UCC. A good grade is inevitable as long as you have the discipline to do the reasonable amount of work assigned. She may get frustrated if you continuously miss class or don't do the work, but it's only because she cares. She is a fair grader and an great person so do yourself a favor and take her class.

For every take-home storyshort essay there was a short paper due. Tons of class discussions on the homework, which was always fun. Only four major papers and no midterm. Fourth paper counted as the final. Dreaded the class the first week, but she is funny and makes it so you don't want to miss her class.

Professor Zielony is a great professor. I highly recommend her. Just make sure you do all your Papers, Journals, Responses and In-class essays. 4 papers are due at specific dates but the rest will be collected at the end of the semester. With the papers, she cares more on the idea of the paper and the transitioning from paragraph to paragraph.

Hands down my favorite English professor. She is so helpful and kind. You can truly see a passion for literature in her when we have class discussions. Her journals are simple and based around opinion and analysis. The midterm and final papers were easy and fun to write as well. She always encourages students to do their best. SHE'S THE BEST!

Professor Zielony was great. I had her for English 101. She is so helpful and clear cut. She saved my grade towards the end of the semester. We had a long paper due and I asked for an extension. She is there for you and the assignments are not that bad. As long as you communicate with her its a sure pass.

Dr. Zielony is always willing to help you out as long as you communicate, writing essays is a must in the class of course. I've always struggled with writing and she helped me a lot and I got all A's/B's on everything which is a confidence booster for someone who feels they can't write. Would def take her again.

Decent professor. She tries to make you care about the papers you write. The awesome thing about her is that she gives you a chance to rewrite your entire essay once after the initial grading. Always make sure you hand in papers on time because you'll get a chance to write them again.

Amazing professor, and person, all around. This is probably the first college class that I WANTED to show up to. She is an incredibly kind person and truly cares about her students. She gives out a fair amount of work but nothing too much to handle, and is always willing to help. Best professor at UCC.

Best teacher ever !!! Very understanding

One of my favorite professors I ever had in my educational career! She gives an amazing perception on the readings we have in class and life in general. I actually enjoyed being in her class, unlike a lot of other classes I had. She made sure everyone was comfortable about the topics we discussed. Also, she gave plenty of time to finish work.

Do the hw, its occasional. Essays are a big deal, but if you put in effort she is willing to help. She gives you a chance to rewrite it for a better grade. She genuinely cares, she absolutely helped me improve my writing. Will need the MLA handbook, MLA structure is key to a good grade. She gives you some freedom with what you want to write about.

She is amazing I am not great in English, but she is amazing. I asked her for extra help and she gave me a chance to do my paper over and be the best that I can be.

She is reeeeally sweet and cute! Her grading is simple, basically pass or not, but majority of the time it's an easy pass. As long as you keep up with the short responses and read the stories. Fun to talk to!

She's so sweet and caring, and you can tell she really wants her students to do well. Her English 101 and 102 classes are very easy, I definitely recommend her.

Incredibly nice and really cares about your performance. She's tough on papers, but that's expected of an English paper. Gives really good writing advice, and genuinely one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Every class is taught in a discussion-like matter, so make sure to participate.

If you want an A, you better participate, work hard, and talk to her often. She's a bit of a touch grader but she's super insightful if you want to work on your writing. Her material isnt a lot to read compared to others; This is because she focuses more on your writing ability. If youre good at writing papers you wont struggle her. She's helpful.

Reading is short, will have you write 1.5 page review on material or give a short quiz to determine if u read or not. Easy class overall, attendance, participation, mid term and final paper will make or break your grade.

Professor Zielony is a gem at this college. She inspired me to do my best after years outside of the class room life. The readings assigned were great and enjoyable to discuss and write about. One of the best English teachers I've had!! I love her, she's the sweetest! You only need to do a couple of 1.5-page research papers, around two 3 page papers, and a final paper. The topics are very interesting and make it enjoyable to write. If you show up to class and do your work you will pass. I would definitely take her again!

Dr Zielony was the best teacher I've ever had for English. At the beginning of the semester I was failing the class due to low attendance however, thanks to Dr Zielony I was able to pass with a B. She not only helped me get my grade to where it needed to be, but she consistently motivated me to do better and be the best writer I could possibly be.

By far the best professor to ever teach English. Dr. Zielony is fun, caring, and understanding. If you take her class, be sure to listen to her personal stories, especially the ones about Haiti. Overall with communication with Dr. Zielony, showing up and participating in the class will for sure play a big role in passing the class.

I'm not a strong writer, but I came to class, did the 1.5 page response papers and got an A. The midterm & final papers were longer, but that's typical and she gives a lot of time to do them. We even had a day where she told us what work we were missing and let us make it up. Def taking her for 102. Only the people that skipped class didn't pass.

She really CARES about her students. If you're having a hard time but she sees you are at least trying, she will do what she can to help you. Interesting stories. I looked forward to class discussions. Lots of group work in this class which is helpful if you maybe had a hard time understanding the reading. 95% short stories.

Professor Zielony is one the easiest professors I've had in my opinion. She is very sweet and kind. She is always willing to help when you need it. Despite this however, do not make this an excuse to skip her classes and think that she will pass you. Like most other professors, she expects you to do her work and attend her classes. So please do!

Good prof and kind person. Do the work and show her a modicum of respect and she will do the same. A good ear during office hours. Very clear grading criteria, but you are graded on very few assignments. There are also no "draft" submissions for the midterm and final - ensure she looks them over before you submit. But she is a very easy grader.

A very positive and respectable professor. Always open for any help you may need for any assignment and lets you know clearly what it is you have to fix on each paper as well as what to improve on.

Doctor Zielony is a good teacher but the sad part of her class is that she will never give you a full 100% on papers or assignments. Also be careful not to talk too much or be too quiet or else she will target you. Overall she is funny, nice, and has a good attitude. I recommend taking her but be aware of what I said.

Make sure your assignments are at least 3-4 pages and printed so you can be prepared in class. If you talk too much or too little, you will be on the spot !!

Probably one of my favorite professor and classes I have ever taken. She just a likeable genuine person and has a great sense of humor. Her class always goes by quickly and you learn a lot it her class. The stories we read aren't that fun to read but i enjoy the way she breaks it down for us to have a better understanding.
