She was an awesome professor. Truly caring about everyone's life inside and outside of school!

She really tries to teach everyone as individuals instead of every one as a group. She is very easy to talk to and cares a lot about her students.

She always compliments every artwork though that is really suck. I felt really comfortable to talk with her and she's really helpful.

She allows you to persue your own creativity and never makes you feel like your ideas are not good. She does expect you to work. But she makes the studio feel like a family. It was probably one of the best classes I have ever had.

She is a great professor and cares about her students, as long as you keep her in the loop with what you are doing, she is more than willing to accommodate situations, I am glad I picked her over the other professors, some of my friends have others and listening to how rough their classes are it sucks.

i've had her for 3 classes she is the best teacher in the art department hands down. she rocks! she is so nice and cares about her students :) she taught me a lot.

I learned SO much in this class, and while there are weekly prep assignments, they're worth doing because they help you do well on the big projects. Overall, good class, really recommend it and her!

I highly suggest taking her classes. She will push you to go beyond your boundaries, listen to her advice. She's never lead me down the wrong path.

Always sets a positive tone for the classroom, she's nice to all the students and will work with you to help you understand what's going on. The works we do are always interesting and teaches all the aspects and fundamentals of art.

Really works to get the best from her students, and is especially helpful if you work hard on the assignments. You will definitely learn a lot from the class. Be open to getting out of your comfort zone.

I have never enjoyed art, I took this class simply because I needed the credit. Truly an inspirational teacher, really cares about her students and loves art. If art is your thing or if its not, I would recommend taking her.

Very helpful teacher for Art appreciation. We did a lot of virtual field trips with assignments, but easy grader.

Loved her as my teacher in Drawing 1. She's very insightful and gives good feedback on projects. If you draw how she suggests you draw, then you won't have a problem with this class.

I learned so much from her class. She has an amazing mind and explains her ideas so well. She has so much interest in teaching and the students. She really teaches you you how to look at what you're drawing to imbue your subject with weight and form. Come to her class with an open mind.

She is so encouraging and really draws out whatever talent you have in you. Her assignments were fun and challenging and she grades fair. Am already signed up for her drawing 2 class.

This class was extremely fun and helpful. I've had many art teachers, inside and out of school and college, and Kari is the ONLY one that I have learned something from and had a good time in her class. She's genuinely concerned about your benefit from her class and always helps you when you need it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I took her in person and I loved it! Was my favorite class she was helpful and gave good feedback on assignments. There's 4 painting exercises 4 Critiques 6 main paintings 1 Artist Presentation. If you try then you will do just fine. She's understandable for anything that may happen. Would definitely recommend her if you need the credit.

Took her for Drawing I, best art teacher I've ever had. We'll critique our drawings with the whole class which is a great way to find areas to improve your art. You will have to pay a pretty penny for materials though, at least $100. But I've developed more as an artist from her class! She's awesome and is very passionate about her class!

you have to critic very carefully as she is a good professor and will want you to do your best, has great lectured videos and websites. overall a good professor.

Kari is the most caring professor I've ever had. Amazing art teacher. Amazing critiques. She works hard to have amazing art exhibits in campus. I would take her class a million times if I could.

Clear expectations, made her own FREE textbook (also really good information), and no proctoring. She made the information fun and the little art assignments we had were easy even if you aren't an "artist". You can work ahead as well. Definitely take her if you need this class.

Professor Breitigam was such a caring person! There are many quizzes that are done, usually 2 a week, or 1 a week with an assignment. On every assignment, she responds with the rubric to let you know why you got the grade you did. You have to read articles for the quizzes but it was overall a very easy class. You get 2 attempts on quizzes as well.
