Kari was a great professor. If you go to class, pay attention, & take the online quizzes you'll do well. She makes class fun and interesting. Online quizzes aren't hard, if you get above 70 on all you get a 100 for your quiz average. Attendance isn't mandatory but she does take attendance sometimes. Would definitely take another class w/ her!

Kari is an AMAZING teacher. One of the best I had at UNH. You'd be crazy not to take a class with her. Go to class and STUDY for the exams and you'll do well. You can't skate through class and get a good grade; you have to do the work. I had her Monday mornings at 8am and still spent the weekend looking forward to her class.

Kari has done it again. This is the second class I have taken from her and loved it just as much as the first. Research Methods is a difficult class to make interesting, but she somehow managed to do it.

If you trying to earn an easy A in this class don't take it. Her test are hard because she likes to use scenarios that apply to the chapter.

Kari is definitely one of the best professors I've ever had. She's engaging and shows clear interest in Psychology. Make sure that you attend lectures, as she includes test questions that relate to in class videos. Tests also include a lot of situational questions. Her TA has review sessions before all exams which is really helpful.

If you are looking for an easy A you have come to the right place. 5 exams and 1 final. I got all A's on 4 exams and the final. I got a B on the fifth test but lowest test was dropped. You do not need to read the textbook, I didn't. If you use the study packets you will be all set. Do not buy the textbook it is a waste of money.

I believe Kari is very intelligent and has a lot of experience under her belt, but I was discouraged at certain points of the semester. She seemed anti-women and seemed to believe in gender roles. I would have preferred a feminist as my psych professor.

It is clear that she cares about her students and loves what she does. She provides great resources such as graphic organizers, study guides, and review sessions. The book is not necessary, go to class and you'll get an A. I would take her class again in a heart beat and because of her, I have decided to pursue a Psych minor.

Kari is FANTASTIC! I was dreading Research Methods and she is making the whole process 10x easier than I thought it would be. Final presentation is broken up throughout the semester which makes life easier. Gives quizzes every week and if you get 710 correct, it's an automatic 100. About 1 exammonth. Would definitely take a class with her again!!

Research methods is not a fun class. Kari made it fun. There is work, but as long as you make an effort, you will be fine. Kari is so engaged, helpful, cheery, and funny that coming to this class was not a chore. There is homework, frequent testsquizzes, and a couple major assignments. I still thoroughly enjoyed this class.

Take this class! For what look like a pretty legit class on your transcript it is easy as it gets! There is some work involved, but follow what Kari lays out for you and you should get an A! She is a great teacher who is awesome at explaining topics and sharing some great stories along the way! Video are shown in class which are most times fun!

I took Intro to Psych with Kari Dudley and she was the best psych professor I've ever had. She is an amazing teacher. Even with a class with over 200 people, you can really pay attention because she's very clear and knows exactly how to teach. She is part of the reason I changed my major to Psychology. I highly recommend her.

She's a really amazing person. Lectures were long, very long and boring. But she does her best to make it interesting. Go to the review sessions, you'll know what to study. And read the book, it'll help too!

Kari is a great professor and is incredibly smart. I would definitely recommend taking her for research methods - she makes a boring class bearable. Although she is a tough grader, she may be willing to let you redo something for a bit more credit. Just an awesome person all around!

STUDY.

Really really helpful. Teaches well and wants you to do well too! She is very personable and really funny as well! And she really understands college life too. As long as you do the work you'll be perfectly fine! Make sure to show up to class though, you'll be lost if you don't.

I started out hating the class, because I didn't pay attention or study. I got a 78 on the first test, but ended up getting a 97 on the 4th test. Definitely read the chapters, but just use the book in the library. She has pre made notes on her site, so it's super easy to follow along with her lectures. If you study, it's easy, and she's so fun!!

She's a phenomenal teacher for the into psychology class! She explains everything in the lectures very well, but you should read the book to get more of an understanding. Attendance isn't required, but on the exams she does ask some questions from examples from lectures, so go them! They're fun too!

I absolutely loved Kari! I would love to take another course with her. Her lectures were long but they were interesting and entertaining. Not hard if you pay attention. She posts handouts of lectures with blank spots for you to write in the answers. Definitely helps to read the book but not necessary if you study your notes. TA exam reviews help.

After taking Intro to psych with Kari, I had to take another class with her! I took research methods, although it was not required for my major. There is a lot of reading, which I recommend you do, and quizzes on every chapter. If you get a 70 or better on the quizzes she gives you a 100 for it though! Super funny and makes the 8am totally worth it

Took intro with Kari and could not wait to take another class with her. She expects a lot more from you in her research methods class. Easily walked away with an A in intro. I had to work pretty hard for a B in 502. She offers a lot of help and saved me from a C!

Read the textbook its the only way to do well in the class!

This by far my favorite class! Lectures are so interesting and she shows so many videos on the stuff you're learning. Tests are all multiple choice. Not all information is given in the lecture, so make sure you read the book! No other homework besides studying.

Dr. Dudley is one of the nicest teachers I have had at UNH. She is funny, caring, passionate, and wants her students to do well. Don't miss class because she doesn't post slides online. The class is challenging so make sure you follow the textbook and study hard.

I loved Kari! I had a family problem and she was so sweet about meeting with me about classes I missed and gave me a heads up if she thought a class might be too hard (emotionally) for me. I usually don't like lectures but she always makes hers so funny and easy to understand.

I loved every aspect of that class, but it definitely was not an easy A course. She has 3 regular exams and one final exam and they are not inherently easy, so you do have to work for your grade. Kari was a great professor for Psych 401. She is hilarious, and keeps you engaged during lecture with lots of videos and helpful examples. The Advanced Organized Notes were really helpful. As long as you go to class, take notes, and take the quizzes online you will be fine. Really interesting material, and she keeps it exciting with humor.

3 tests worth 12% each, final is worth 36%. You need to study the textbook and her advanced organizers to do well. Very sweet professor, clear and audible voice. Makes lots of connections that help you remember terminology. Bad thing her launchpad assignments (quizzes and learning curves) dont count as extra credit like with other psych profs :(

Go to class. She doesnt post PowerPoints online so its hard to understand if someone doesnt give you notes especially because sometimes you only cover parts of chapters. The advanced organizers are life savers. Dudley is also super helpful if you go to her office hours!

Easily the best professor that I've had here at UNH. Her lectures are interesting and engaging. Her exams are based off of what you have discussed in class or read in the book (no surprises). You will have to work for her class but she makes doing so as interesting as possible.

Test Heavy in that the tests account for a major portion of your grade. Cares about her students, but will not take any excuses and expects you to do the homework, study, and be an adult. Doesn't seem like she wants to be your best friend, but she tells some funny stories and wears some sick boots.

Dr. Dudley was an excellent professor. At first, I didn't particularly like her because I thought she was way too scripted. However, I came around and warmed up to her and realized that it was the most beneficial and interesting lecture I had that semester. Her homework isn't terribly time consuming and exams aren't terrible either if you pay attn!

Kari is a great professor and her lecture is very engaging. However I studied for HOURS for every exam and still did poorly. All my friends had the male professor and there exams were always online AND open notes. My final was 100 questions cumulative on 15 chapters, theres was online, open notes, and on only on the last 3 chapters. Not fair.

Her lecture is interesting and I understand the material. But I studied for hours for her exams and still did poorly. There are definitely easier professors. I wish I had known and taken this course with one of the male professors bc all my friends have As and barley study bc all the exams are online and open notes. My GPA is hurting

Ive taken 2 of professor dudleys courses and she is such a lovely lady. She is so easy to get in touch with and she is very helpful with answering questions. Some course material is harder to comprehend than others, but she does an excellent t way of teaching it! 10/10 recommend.

Absolutely my favorite professor I've ever had. Some of the course material is difficult, but she is extremely attentive to student's needs and concerns. She offers great words of encouragement and is easily accessible to help students at any time! Wonderful lady :)

Lectures were posted online, which was helpful for missing class and wanting to catch up on notes. She engages the class well, but the tests are from the textbook and the lectures don't cover everything, so don't expect to get by with a decent grade without reading the text outside of class

Kari is a great person with a lot of personality, which she is not afraid to share. The subject matter is fairly easy but the tests are surprisingly difficult. Do not shrug the class off as an easy A, you will at least have to study. If you are looking for a good lecturer with a good personality, but this is not a blow off class.

I would recommend watching the online lectures unless you are struggling because people like to use this class as personal therapy and ask way too many questions so it wastes time. If you took AP psych this class is literally just that so it's pretty easy. Overall super nice professor and she plays a lot of videos to show cool psychology studies.

The class is great and goes over much material and is interesting. The class itself can be done online through watching the lectures whichI liked. Although her exams are difficult and I preformed worse on those than any other assignment in her class.

I enjoyed Dr Dudley's class. Her lectures were interesting and easy to follow. You are able to watch the online lectures if you cannot make it to class which is helpful. There is a lot of work to be done outside of class. Be sure to take notes on the book readings and listen closely during lecture in order to do well on the exams.

Lectures are high quality and relevant to Exam material. Weekly homework assignments are great for review. Overall, very positive attitude and clearly enjoys teaching. Material is not particularly challenging or in-depth as it is Introductory Psychology. Would recommend as major course or elective.

Doctor Dudley is great!! Her lectures are entertaining, and the examples she provides really stick with me. The homework isn't hard and it doesn't take long. Her tests will be difficult if you don't study much, but as long as you study hard you will probably perform well. She's very helpful and kind, too.

Some of the tests are open notes and she helps prepare well for the ones that aren't. The final paper isn't that bad as well. As long as you're prepared to do the work, Kari is a great teacher!

I absolutely loved Professor Dudley! Her class is very hard, but if you want to have a really good understanding of the material, then TAKE HER CLASS! She does really care about her students and recognizes when you try! If you show up to class, participate, do the work, study, and communicate with her, you will be fine!

PSYC 401 fall 2023. She was nice and her lectures were interesting. Frustrating that you cant use a laptop to take notes, but was good with SAS accommodations. Havent had since, but has given recommendations for me. I didnt read the textbook, I studied notes from class and used study guides. I frequently talked with her after class about material.

Kari is kind, sweet. and helpful. Her class is not easy and you need to do the work and reading. You will learn, but it can be stressful and hard to balance with other classes. There were three exams, lots of MacMillan work. Beneficial class but is definitely a college level course. it isn't terribly hard. Study and you will be fine. Learned a lot.

Nice and engaging lectures (usually). You need to go to class to use fill in the paper notes guide she gives you to follow along with the lecture. Need to read the textbook too!! A few online exams that you need to study for. You need to put in the work, but super interesting class. Really liked it. MacMillan textbook w/ assignments for homework.

Kari is the best professor I have ever had. She genuinely wants the best for all of her students and cares so much about what she teaches. I've had her for multiple classes, and I would say with confidence that I have learned the most in her classes than in my others. Her class difficulty just depends on how much effort you're willing to put in.

After reading the ratings on here, I thought I'd fail this class. Kari assigns a lot of homework, doesn't accept late work, and is a tough grader, BUT as long as you actually read the textbook and take notes, you are completely fine. the exams weren't hard, the final is optional. Kari is very entertaining so class isn't dull.

She does give extensions and she gives good resources when needed. She did say she failed the class and so did the TA (I think lol) Its a a hard class, dont think to get an easy A.

Lots of homework based on textbook readings, but they're not difficult/worth much of your grade. The proposal is time consuming but the requirements and feedback provided are very clear. Exams use lock-down browser but I got a 90+ on all just by reviewing the textbook. It isn't difficult if you put in effort and she provides support when needed
