this class is so easy, if you show up atleast once a week you will do fine. Class is boring, but it's pretty hard to fail her tests. She's also really understanding if "something comes up" and you can't go to class. Overall I would take her again for the easy A.

To all you haters!Professor Fowler is a Wonderful teacher.She must have improved?? Yes, she writes everything on the board; it's for people to understand the lecture as she teaches;There's the clarity for all students! I would say that the tests are difficult, but if you listen,then you might hear "You should go to the Prenhall site".

Fowler is an awesome teacher. She may write everything on the board, but she is trying to help us keep and focus. her tests are not hard, you just have to simply look over the practice problem sheet and you should know it.

She is an ok teacher in class but is very helpful at her office hours. Sometimes it seems like she tries to make her tests harder than they should be but if you do the optional homework you should get atleast a B. Her only grades are the tests but she offers extra credit at the end of the semester.

I think this class pretty easy if you show up and pay attention. The tests are based completely on the homework and review sheet so you know what to expect. Also attendence and homework is not mandatory! shes very nice

Although the class is extremely boring and its very difficult to actually want to attend it's not half bad. Professor Fowler is actually a really nice woman and she wants to see all her students pass. Her tests are not overly difficult, in fact its quite easy to get a A in the class. I've never known anyone to get any lower than a C unless you try

Dr. Fowler is a nice lady. If you do the optional homework and show that you care in class you will get at least a B. The exam was extremely hard. She gives a lot of notes to help you out.

Dr. Fowler is the best Calc teacher out there. Gotta show up to her classes if you want to do well on the exams. She explains the problems very thoroughly. Her office hours are very useful and helps a lot. She really challenge you, but use the notes and practice then you will pass.

Dr.Fowler loves calculus and she really tries to keep students engaged through what she knows won't be your favorite class. She is incredibly helpful and the class isn't too bad if you show up and do the homework even though it isn't a grade.

She is very nice and approachable if you need help. I was very nervous to take business calc but she makes it so that anyone who really tries can get a decent grade. Her exams are half multiple choice, half open answer. Homework and attendance is not mandatory but very helpful to do well on the exams.

Very good teacher. She gives tons of examples in class. She assigns optional hw and uses the last 10mins of every class period to answer questions about the hw or anything you need. If you pay attention to the examples in class, there are no surprises on the types of problems she has on the test. Great teacher to take no matter your situation

notes are very organized and are pretty much essential so you should attend class. Homework is optional and she uses pretty much the same practice problems in homework on tests. No surprises on tests. overall easy class if you have taken Precalc before

Had her for both Calc II and Calc III. Calc II was the hardest course I have ever taken and I absolutely hated it. Calc III was much easier. Overall a good professor. Very helpful.

She's a really great teacher and a very sweet lady. I had her for precalc and there were four quizzes and four exams. She let you use a notecard for all of the quizzes and exams. The class isn't too hard but do the homework questions for practice. If you ever need help definitely go to her office hours.

Attend class. She is very helpful and is almost always willing to stay after class to help. She allows one notecard for every quiz and exam. If you're not good with math, she is one of the most helpful professors. Go to her office hours.

Had her for precalc. LOVED her teaching method and personality. She is very approachable and easygoing, and will say hello to you outside of class. Attend class - her notes on the board help out a LOT when studying for the exams/quizzes.

Wonderful teacher for Calc II. Do your homework and make your notecard- you will definitely get an A in her class!

Dr. Fowler is an amazing professor. She goes through several examples of each type of question so that the students understand the material. Theres 4 quizzes and 4 tests. For each quiz and test you're allowed to have a notecard. She also gives out review problems before every test and quiz. The review problems are exactly like the tests. Easy A

Dr. Fowler is great! Sometimes she moves quickly and can get ahead of herself but if you go to her office hours, it helps a lot. Also you get to use a huge notecard on every test and quiz. Your lowest exam/ quiz score is automatically dropped or you can replace it with your final exam score.

I have always been terrible at math, but Prof Fowler was great! She goes step by step through each chapter, and since I had never taken pre-calc before it was a good pace for me. She is always available for office hours and extra help. At the end of the semester, she replaces your worse exam grade with the second lowest.

She is the best! Dr. Fowler is very good at explaining things and you don't have to worry about having to memorize formulas because she lets you use notecards in every exam. Also if you skip a test you can replace the grade with the next test. Her class is not hard but you will have to do the homework and practice problems to get a good grade.

Honestly one of the best professors Ive had. Her explanation of things is clear and her quizzes and tests are from homework problems and study guides.

Very nice and cares about her students comprehension of the material. She goes through multiple example and explains everything so its easy to get. Posts study guides as extra help. Exams, quizzes, and homework not mandatory, but obviously suggested. 5x8 notecard for every exam and quiz. She will help you with anything youre having trouble with.

Professor Fowler is one of the best professors you will come across. Not only does she let you know what to expect on tests and quizzes, but she also lets you use a notecard with anything on it. She really cares about her students and if they are learning the content. Class always ends at least 15 minutes early and she stays to answer questions.

Fowler is so genuine. Really nice & will always let you out early. You get to use a note card on every exam but dont think that that will give you an easy a. You need to learn to apply but Fowler will help you with that and wants to give you EVERY chance you need to succeed. Shes very nice and will go out of her way to help a student thats confused

Dr. Fowler is a very good professor. She is a little shy, but she is passionate and cares about the success of her students. the homework is optional and right out of the textbook. If you put a little bit of effort in, you'll get an easy A! She gives great examples and a lot of tips to help you learn the material. TAKE HER!

Dr. Fowler is an awesome math professor who is able to make a dull topic like linear algebra at least somewhat enjoyable with her enthusiasm. She allows cheat sheets for quizzes and tests (still, don't expect a free A or B) and only wants to see her students succeed. She is an incredibly kind person.

Dr. Fowler is the best professor I've had. For her quizzes and exams she lets you use a 5x8 flashcard, front and back, to reference back to while taking quizzes and exams For finals she lets you use a full sheet of copy paper front&back which is awesome. Overall, lectures are clear and homework, easy if you took proper notes and have good examples.

Professor Fowler is a true gem. Her precalculus class is very slow-paced, and her testing policy is flexible/forgiving. Even if you've never seen an exponent or logarithm in your life, you're sure to get an A with Fowler's guidance.

Dr. Fowler is one of my favorite professors here! She is kind and helpful with any questions! I recommend taking her class if you are not the best at math. I had difficulty in high school, but she makes everything so clear. Homework is given each class, but its not required so i did not use the textbook, but it is helpful to prepare for exams!

Great professor for calculus 1. EVERY EXAM has a notecard/cheat sheet for you to use. ALL QUIZES are take home and even so she does help if your confused with the problem. Lecture is pretty heavy because its a lot to fit into one semester but she makes it easy to understand. Didn't think I would pass this class but I did. Definitely would recommend

She is a great person and professor. She explains the material very well, she uses the whiteboard. We have a textbook but only use it for optional homework. The only thing you are graded on is tests but you get to use half a sheet of paper on every exam AND you get to use a full sheet on the final. Also, I am not great at math but she made it easy!

Very nice person. You stay most of the class time but it's worth it since she is one of the nicest professors I've ever met. You have 3 tests and 4 quizzes, but all the quizzes are take home and you get to use a huge notecard for every test. She also has a final and you get to use a full sheet of paper for it. Calculus 2 is a difficult subject but Dr. Fowler makes it a lot more manageable. Her lectures are slow-paced and she clarifies any questions or concerns that are addressed. The class is exam heavy, but for every exam you are allowed to use an 8 x 5 notecard. Dr. Fowler makes math a lot easier. I highly recommend her.

she is hands down the best professor i have had a UT and probably the best ill have. she is an amazing teacher and will not move on until she's sure you understand what she is teaching you. she is so caring and goes above and beyond to make sure you understand the material. she understands if you can't make it to class and is extremely understandin

Dr. Fowler is a lovely professor, very nice and caring. However, her tests are EXTREMELY difficult. She expects work to be shown in all exams and the content is complex. She does, however, go out of her way to explain each problem to ensure you understand the material. Just be aware that if you are looking to cheat, it won't be happening here!

She is the best take her if you can! I have her for pre-calc and she is the best. All homework is extra credit, exams you get to bring notecard and if you have the right formula she gives you partial credit, and quizzes get multiple attempts and if you ask her a question about it she will give you hints. She cares so much and listens to students!

I currently have Professor Fowler for precalculus and she has made taking math in college enjoyable. Homework is extra credit which is due at the end of the semester and gives multiple attempts for her online quizzes. For every test you get to use a notecard to write examples from class. This class has been very stress free totally recommend her!!

Prof Fowler is really great! She really wants her students to succed and gives you every chance to do so. She gives u a 5x8 notecard to write whatever u want on for exams, all hw is extra credit and gives u multiple attempts on quizzes. I loved Kari she is such a weirdo and its so funny, she makes it so easy to pass its ridiculous. No homework, its extra credit. You literally dont even have to go to the exams and quizzes are online. I have this class 3 days a week and show up maybe once a week and I have an 97, I also dont understand a thing she just gives u so many chances

ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEE PROF FOWLER. By far the best teacher I have ever had. No homework, all extra credit (do it though it is so easy). ALL quizzes online. Exams are somewhat optional but they are super easy because she lets you have a notecard with examples and whatever else you want to write on them to help you pass the exam. TAKE HER. Shes so kind

I can not say enough great things about Dr. Fowler. I struggled with this class twice & because of her I was able to understand the concepts. She is beyond kind, caring, & helpful. She truly cares about her students, she's not a tough grader, & homework is extra credit. I've never given a rating on here, but she truly deserves the recognition.

She made this class so easy for me, she only grades you off Quizzes and Exams. Quizzes are all online so it's easy to do good, Exams are super easy she lets you use a cheat sheet during all exams and finals, so its really easy to pass the class if you really pay attention. She gives homework is online as well, but only graded for completion.

Teaches very slow and writes everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) on the board so taking notes is so simple. Homework is extra credit and notecards can be used on all exams. She is so nice and always helpful in the class and during office hours, highly recommend this prof.

When people who are afraid of math classes ask me for prof recs, I immediately say Dr. Fowler. Nonmandatory homework assignments can only help you. Accessible outside of class for help (and EXTREMELY helpful when help is needed). Exam qs are pulled directly from examples, HW, & quizzes. No lecture the class before an exam; just a day for questions

i LOVED dr. fowler. she was so caring and made everything really easy to understand. all the homeworks counted as extra credit. we had 4 quizzes that were online. on all of our exams we were allowed to use a notecard front and back. on the final we can use a full sheet of paper front to back. she also has lectures posted online for extra review

Great professor. Take her if you can. Homework is due until end of semester, you can work at your own pace, lectures are great, tests are easy.

Kari is awesome and is always willing to help you succeed. The only problem, if you miss one class you will be lost this is a very fast paced class, coming from someone who Is good at math. All homework is extra credit for you get a notecard for exams. I recommend her but I also recommend never skipping a class even to go home very hard to catch up

This course had 3 major exams other than the final. She grades homework for extra credit so you have to do good on the exams! Overall a great teacher and willing to help her students succeed.

She is amazing! Makes math very easy, and understandable. Whoever made a bad review of her is wrong!!! She is very organized and I you pay attention you will pass with no problem. You better study the exam reviews and Homework count as Extra credit. And if you miss a lecture, she provides videos of her lectures, which is very helpful.

I wish I hadn't had Dr. Fowler my freshmen year, because I'm sure I would have taken the class more seriously if it had occurred later in life. With that being said, Dr. Fowler is very smart and wants you to be too. The information covered goes fast and furious, but she's nothing but crystal clear and helpful. PAY ATTENTION.

Awesome professor! Went for a zoom at least once a week which really helped! 3 tests + final. final is optional. my math lab is helpful and has one due date at the end of the semester. so sweet and helpful!

Professor Fowler is the best prof to take for calc 1. She allows you a 5x8 flash card, gives lots of practice problems & outside resources. HW is extra credit, and typically 5-9 problems x2 a week. Final drops lowest exam, & can miss 1 exam, the next exam you take replaces that grade. Only a handful of quizzes, which are all short and simple. 10/10

SHES IS AMAZING!!!! By far, fav prof! If you have the chance to take her, DO IT!!! She lets you have notecards for all exams including final, homework is extra credit, classes are around 45 minutes to an hour long. You have to show up though because if you miss you'll miss ALOT of notes. GO OVER EXAM REVIEWS!!! Almost exactly like the exams!!!!!!

Dr. Fowler is an amazing lecturer. Her pacing is on point and she is really easy to follow along with. Nothing in the class is mandatory except the final exam, but I highly recommend attending the lectures and doing the homework (which is extra credit) unless you already know calc and just need the credit. A lot easier of a class than I expected.

Dr. Fowler is an amazing professor at UT. I went to office hours every week and she is always available to help her students. She provides a lot of extra credit at the end of semester. You will do just fine if you pay attention in lecture and get to know Dr. Fowler. Please take her!!

Overall great human being, straight to the point about everything you get a note card on every test and a full piece of paper for the final. All the homework was extra credit and there was 4 tests and 4 quizzes, you could also skip every test and just take the final and that would be your grade for all the tests and the final. I had her for Pre-calc & Calc 1. She was one of the best math teachers I've ever had! She is patient with students,is always open to feedback,accessible after class for questions, s welcoming to her office hours, exams are taken in class, quizzes and homework is online, respectful toward her students, gives extra credit towards end of the semester.

All homework was extra credit and due at the end of the semester. Quizzes had three tries. The lectures went over what was on the quizzes and what was on the exams. She is awesome, I will likely take another class from her again if I was able to.

She is very accessible outside of class, with office hours both in person and over Zoom. Also, class is usually ended early, as she saves time for any questions to be answered. Take her!

Dr. Fowler is very kind and wants her students to do well. Math is very difficult for me but with her teaching style I did pretty well this semester. She goes slower than most teachers so if you want a faster pace, she is likely not for you. But for those who need some extra clarification and explanations she is THE BEST!! She wants you to pass!

Dr Fowler is very nice, and she gives cheat sheets for every major exam. The homework really helps and I reccommend doing it. The only issue I had was staying awake in her class... no hate against her, but she is very monotone and would not be very engaging.

We were allowed to have a big note card on each exam and all of the tests were just liked the practice problems done in class just with different numbers. Overall she was a really great professor and made caluclus really easy to understand. I would definetly take her class again.

She is seriously the best. I didn't go to majority of lecture and still had an a/b in class. It's so easy to do good if you just listen a little bit and do the study guides. Such a great professor, she uploads all of her lectures online and all homework is extra credit. She only kept our class for at most an hour when it was supposed to be an hour and 20 minutes. She is slow with her lectures and shows so many examples and she is so so sweet. Take her!!
