She is an excellent professor and will do everything she can to help you if you ask. I took her online and she was so helpful. I had a bad experience with Prof. Arneodo and she was the exact opposite of him she knew exactly what she was doing and always let you know exactly what she expected.

I felt that there was a lot of work, more than I expected because I signed up for her after reading these reviews. She is clear about guidelines though, and the course is organized. If you don't do the homework there is no way you can get higher than a C. The tutors in the lab helped me a lot with her papers though

She is a nice teacher, but expect tons of work her in class. Also, she very hard when it comes to grading. If you're talking her calss... make use of ISS lab as much as you can if you want to pass the class. Every grammatical error will casue you 5 points on a paper.

She expects a lot from you and grades kind of hard. Use the ISS lab a lot. We write many in-class essays, so be prepared to write write write.

Professor Miller is an excellent teacher! She has the passion to teach especially literature. Yeah..she gives work to do but that's just normal for a college level class. Making an "A" is not a problem. Just do your assignments and show up to class and take notes and you should be fine. I highly recommend her!

This class was far too easy. Its pretty much things you learned in high school. You have a chance to exempt in the beginning and if you don't pass that the final was somewhat the same. Just remember all you learned and do the assignments. A pass or fail class.

I took her online summer class. This was a very intense semester and class. You must participate in discussion boards, read and complete all assignments. You can achieve an A but you will work for it. She is a very nice professional but expects you to do your work.

Best English teacher I've ever had. She doesn't just slap a grade on your paper. She takes the time to comment on everything and lets you know how to do better next time. Her standards for a good essay are pretty high, which only makes you feel even better when you get a good grade on a paper. Take her class if you truly want to learn a lot.

I've always been good at writing so I never used the book and I still got an A, but she does tell you read. Also a great plus is that if you get an A, you don't have to take the final! Definitely try to get in her class!

Prof Miller is awesome! She doesn't expect you to get down to the "correct" deeper meaning of a poem or story, it's more about your personal reflection. You are required to quote ideas from the book...and make sure you site them correctly, but other than that she's very easy going and very helpful and very sweet. I really enjoyed this class!

I took this online and she is very fair. At 1st, I was intimidated because she states in her syllabus that many will get a C because an A is for over-achievers. All you have to do is do the work and you can pass. I'm not good at all with english classes and hate writing but I managed to pass in her class.

Professor Miller is very nice. I took her online class. I was nervous at the start of the semester, as she states in her syllabus that most students will receive a C.She responds quickly to questions, and will give advice if you ask. She doesn't like procrastinators, and you must make an effort.

If you are a dedicted student, take her. She grades hard, but I was able to make an A with no prior experience in writing papers/MLA. Just hard work, but after her class, all my professors comment about my writing style that I developed under her wing.

Having read many of the papers submitted in class during peer reviews, I can see why some consider her grading hard. They are barely proficient with the English language. Public school let them down hard! She is quite fair in her grading and very helpful.

Prof Miller has got to be one of the best professors at GPC. She is very involved in her class. She goes above and beyond her requirements and actually makes you very interested in the material. As long as you actively participate and do your work, you will be fine in this class. I was very lucky to have her. Highly recommend.

Professor Miller is a great teacher. I can understand how some students may get overwhelmed by taking her class in the summer. I would recommend taking it in the fall. It is alot of work , however she is very helpful and she always responds to questions and concerns in a timely manner.

At first, I was hesitant about remaining in the course, since on the syllabus she stated that she would more than likely hand out more C's than A's. I doubted my essay writing skills but I received A's for all my essays. she is very demanding, but just as long as you include what she wants and read the readings you will do well. Ok. I had her for ENGL 1101, too. Miller is a teacher that expects a lot out of a student. She's not THAT bad, but you HAVE to do the readings, watch the lecture videos, etc. The multiple choice tests are AWFUL. But she grades decently on the written stuff. Gave extra credit. I made a 92-93 (barely). I'm just glad I'm done with ENGL courses.

Outstanding. She responds to questions, she participates in discussion and provides feedback, which is helpful to understanding the readings. There are 2 papers, NOT EASY so focus. Complete the ungraded Quizzes, they help tremendously. I recommend this class. If you are not afraid to ask questions, then this class should not be difficult.

Professor Miller is fantastic! I enjoyed working her style and support so much I sought her out to take another course. Highly recommended that you do not pass her up. She is positive, knows the material and is excited to teach and learn from her students. Follow the syllabus, plan your time wisely and you will pass.

Shes a straight forward Easy teacher. I had her @ Alpharetta Eng 1101. Papers are the biggest thing, be descriptive and follow the guidelines exactly. Attendance and Participation are extremely important. She gets on you for that. The book was there as a back up source. Just listen and be on her good side and its pretty easy. Do assignments ahead

Overall she was great! The discussions and everything were really good and thought out. There are four essays throughout the semester and you have ample opportunity to get feed back and make sure its going in the right direction. It's not really clear what you are supposed to write the essay about or the criteria of the essays. Good feedback.

Mrs. Miller is a fantastic English instructor! However, if you are not prepared to read the material, you will have a tough time. It is a good idea to be disciplined in your work (time management) because there is a good amount of weekly assignments. She expects her students to be very thorough when writing essays.

Professor Miller is a pretty awesome teacher. There is a lot of reading in this class but the stories are pretty interesting. She sets clear criteria and if you follow, you'll get an A. She is as great Teacher! I love how lenient she can be, IF you mostly do your work on time. If you have any questions she will respond fairly quickly , like in to next day or so. If you continue doing good in discussions and TAKE THE essays serious(but their essay) you should be fine!

Best class this semester! Dr Miller provides the necessary materials and is very interactive with the class. Be patient- there is a method to her madness. It is not easy but if you pay attention, complete your assignments on time and ask questions, you'll do just fine.

Dr. Miller was awesome for online English 1102. Your grade will not be given to you without showing that you understand the course. She's really caring about her students and offers so much help that is impossible to fail! She sends frequent emails and give quick feedback if you find yourself stuck during a paper.

It was an online class and I'd have to admit that there were quite a lot assignments and tasks. However, if you just follow her instructions and listen to her feedbacks, then you will do fine just like I did. She's always there to help you so just message her when you have any questions.

Dr. Miller is great. She has one final essay that was pretty hard, but it is expected. Each week has discussion posts that are on narratives we read that week. It is manageable, and she is kind and reasonable, also helpful in emails. The topics discussed are mentally stimulating. Grading is fast.I would take her again for an online English course.

Dr. Miller is a great Professor. She grades quickly, and answers emails promptly. You need to work in this class, but the work is enjoyable. Reading narratives; participating in group discussions; writing analysis and essays; and watching learning videos. If you complete your assignments with your best effort you will do fine.

I took her online, and she was okay. 3 unit essay, 10 discussions one every Tuesday, and the final is optional. She always answers her email and explains to you if you don't understand. Her essays were about a book and is online. Take her if you can and tutorial center helps a lot too

I love and absolutely recommend this professor. I took her class online while working full time and it was so easy to get my work done. She gives 13 small assignments throughout the semester and the lowest 3 grades are dropped, with there being 2 essays. Shes very communicative and will work with you on things. She uses top hat and icollege. 10/10

There were only 2 essays with a 2 week time to write them, and nothing other than TopHat (20$) was needed. Very friendly teacher, work assignments are somewhat engaging. A very understanding grader, def would take again.

Dr. Miller is an amazing professor! I learned some fundamental things in her class that I can use in the real world, such as how to use resources and databases, and how to build aspects of your professional life outside of college. There were two argumentative essays meaning you will put a lot of effort into them to make the essays quality writing.

This teacher was amazing. I will say that we did receive a lot of work in my opinion, but I believe it helped me become a better writer. Also, her feedback was very straight forward and helps you make the changes you need to get a passing grade. I would take her again.

Loved Ms. Miller as a professor. She was extremely easy to get in contact with and gave extensions if asked ahead of time. The class only has 3 essays to write, but for each essay are little assignments that directly connect to the essay so beware if you miss one. I 100% recommend taking her though.
