One of my favorite professors I've had! Super chill, easy projects! He's quite quirky. Attendance isn't mandatory but there are three unannounced assignments in class so be wary of those.
He is awesome and his class is easy. Everything is pretty much completion grades. His lectures can get a little boring but the class is overall easy. Wish he showed more of his personality or shared more about his life/experiences because he is pretty funny and super knowledgable.
Dr. Jetha was funny and his class was easy, but it was pretty boring. All assignments are completion (even the final project) so it's hard to do poorly. Study for the tests because they come fast and there's three of them. Nice guy, but the class was really boring. Work with as many people as you can on the project for easier workload.
Jetha is awesome. Study for the final and part A is super easy. But get ready for part B, its rough.
Overall I really enjoyed part A of this class. I agree that I wish he showed more of his personality, as he is incredibly knowledgable and really funny/quirky. Am not an MIS major so some content wasn't the most exciting, but some was really interesting to learn about. Assignments were all manageable and easy.
Karim is the man. His lectures are entertaining as can be. He is passionate about the material and understands that you are in other demanding classes therefore making his workload easier. The tests are easy too, just study what he tells you to study and you will be fine. His class being so good is probably what makes many hate part B so much.
Dr. Jetha makes the class very easy to understand and tries to give his students the best grade he can. Be aware when taking his class though that he only teaches for the first half of the semester, then it switches off to another prof.
He was a great lecturer, you pretty much just read a book for his section of the class and if you don't read it, he reviews the whole thing in the lectures. Easy class, loved it.
Jetha is one of the best professors. His lectures are very interesting and easy to follow. Group projects are fun and they really help you understand the material. The tests are straight out of the ELC lectures, if you spend 1-2 days studying for them, youll have no problem getting an A. Quizzes and homeworks are also an easy 100.
Part A for MIST2090 was the easiest class. Jetha's lectures were not boring and the only grades were simple group projects and reading quizzes. The 3 tests are based off of the lectures and a little off of the reading quizzes. You don't actually have to read the book, but i recommend reading it for the tests.
Jetha is a fantastic professor and overall a great guy. There are 3 tests and a "final project" but you work on the project throughout the first half of the class, so you just put it all together at the end. You can work by yourself or with a group. Easy tests if you study powerpoints. You'll miss Jetha once you get into part B with Janine.
A solid choice for Part A of this course. All assignments are for completion except for the tests. The class is basically memorizing concepts and vocab. All busywork in my opinion.
Took Dr. Jetha for a Maymester online and he was AWESOME! I worked for a few hours every day but the assignments and lectures were interesting and easy to follow. We didn't have to read the book that his class reads during the semester. He taught parts A and B and it was easier than it would have been during the semester. 11/10 Recommend!!
Dr. Jetha is, if anything, very straightforward with what he wants you to do. Presents sometimes tedious information in an interesting manner. Has clear grading criteria that for the most part are simple completion. Two "midterms" that he lectures on beforehand. I wish this wasn't a Part A class only and that he taught the full semester. Recommend!
Dr. Jetha is a great professor. He has lot of lectures but they are not boring as he adds his own jokes throughout them. The projects are mainly participation so if you follow the rubric you are good to go. His syllabus makes it clear he doesn't accept late work, but its not hard to keep track of. Honestly, would never hesitate to take him again.
He's definitely one of my favorite profs ever. Everything he wants for the projects is clearly explained in the rubric. We had 2 exams and a final, but they weren't hard. Super easy definitely take him! (Note: this class has 2 parts and 2 profs, one for each part). I had Aronson for the second half
This was the easiest class Ive taken. None of the assignments are hard and everything you need to do for the class is clearly explained. TAKE HIM FOR MIST 2090
Very easy. Really nice guys. Lectures and quizzes. quizzes get 3 chances. highly recommend. The teacher for this class does change half way though.
(Part A) Prof. Jetha was an amazing instructor that taught me so much more than I could ask. The whole course was filled with great information and the lectures were nicely set in accordance to a major project due at the end of the class period. Overall, the course is set up that if you do the work, you'll get an A, but you have to do the work.
Everyone hates on the 2nd half professor of this class, but honestly this guy isn't any better. He gives very little work, but you don't learn anything. You do the work, get the grade. Oh, and Email him? Don't waste your time, you won't get a response. I can't tell you how many times I have pressed "send again" on my emails and still nothing.
Jetha was a great prof for part a of this class. made his zoom lectures interesting & enjoyable. theres one big group project in place of a final but you work on most of the sections prior to the due date as HW. theres a book & some reading quizzes but theyre pretty easy.
Dr. Jetha was one of my favorite professors so far. The material he taught was interesting and the group project was just a culmination of all the homeworks we did. The homeworks are easy 100s if you put in at least a little bit of effort. Dr. Jetha was engaging (even over zoom) and made me more interested in mist. 10/10 part A of this class.
I really enjoyed part a of this class & Jetha was part of the reason why. He answers questions quickly & genuinely cares about his students. I completely forgot to submit the final project (even tho I had already finished it) & he let me submit it a day late w/o docking points. The material is interesting, although theres a lot of group work.
Karim was one of the most chill professors I've taken at UGA. The tests were fairly easy and just required regurgitating lecture and book info. Project was super fun and he allows a lot of creativity in them. Final project is an easy A if you did all the other stuff. You can do it as a group project, but I would recommend working alone.
Professor Jetha is really passionate and knowledgeable. He's great. The class is ridiculously easy and engaging.
Don't take MIST in any normal semester! take it as a maymaster. The class is not even a month Long and cuts out so much work you need to do. and great thing is the class isn't split between 2 professors this way. I know most maymasters say it is 3 hours of work a day. This class is maybe like an hour. Very easy class
Karim Jetha is the man, hands down.
Dr. Jetha is sincerely, truly, one of the best professors at Terry. He's extremely passionate about his class and is very knowledgeable about the material. If you attend lecture, you will pass. If you skip lecture, it's going to be pretty difficult. All the keys to success are in his class.
What an amazing professor. I wish all my professors were as caring and passionate as Dr. Jetha is! He will always make sure students get any questions answered & never makes anyone feel like they are asking a bad question. He also is not afraid to say he doesn't know something, and he then will go out of his way to learn and share... so admirable!
One of my favorite classes and professors I have had. The first half of the class is really fun and easy, and the second half of the course is strictly learning Excel.
Jetha is a great professor and he teaches his class fairly well. He is nice and funny. Some of his course work can be excessive but its not bad at all. Would recommend taking him.
Dr. Jetha is an amazing instructor and I would take another course with him if I had the chance. He explains concepts very clearly and encourages questions and participation to make the class more engaging. If you need any help he's very open to clearing up any confusion you may have. His quizzes/tests are very fair and there is some group work.
I've looked forward to coming to Dr. Jetha's class. The class is split into two portions with the first half being on MIS and the second being on Excel of which I've found the Excel portion to be far more beneficial for the future. He does an amazing job at teaching and works the hardest to keep people engaged. Very fair and straightforward prof.
Dr. Jetha is a great teacher and knows what he is talking about. he is very quick to respond to your questions and gives you plenty of resources to facilitate excellent communication. He is probably one of the best teachers ive had in Terry.
Professor Jetha is great! The first half of the semester is lecture and group projects, but they're super easy. There are little progress checks every class but if you pay attention or go through the power points you'll be fine. The second half of class is Excel and is a little harder than the first half but overall not bad.
He made the material very easy to understand and it was very applicable to other business classes. The work outside of class was minimal. There were plenty of grades so it was very easy to get an A. I have learned a lot and am thankful that I took this class.
Great professor. Format of the class is great, offers tons of resources to study that closely resemble the tests.
Dr Jetha is the best professor I have had at UGA. He clearly cares about the material and always asks for feedback on the material he is teaching for the first time. I could not recommend him enough. I am leaving his class having changed my major to MIS, simply due to his fantastic delivery of the material and exposure to opportunities within MIS.
Because this class was open note it was incredibly easy because all you had to do was look through his power points for every answer. I loved this professor and he tried his best to keep the lectures interesting even when the material wasn't.
Dr. Jetha is the homie. Great class and not hard to get an A if you care.
Amazing professor and does his absolute best to make the content interesting. He explains things really well. The Excel unit during the 2nd half of the semester is a little difficult, so going to class during then is really helpful.
The first half of the class was led by a science novel and he related the reading to in class lectures. The second half was all about excel and data analysis and it was not very difficult if you just showed up to class and paid attention. He did have a easy quiz or two per week to make sure that people were staying current on reading or class info.
He gave 2 easy extra credit assignments. His class is compromised of a ton of group assignments. Find a good group on the first day, and you'll be set up for an easy A. Jetha genuinely wants you to succeed. I accidentally forgot to submit a project, and he gave me an extension. Overall, one of my favorite professors in college.
Great professor, actually cares about how he's doing.
The best professor I've had. Dr. Jetha delivers entertaining lectures, an organized course format, and fair grades. He uses Piazza to communicate and answers quickly. Attendance is not mandatory and there are 2 extra credit assignments.
It's a great class and very easy. It's easier to get an A than it is to not. All you have to do is do your assignments and pay attention. Great professor.
Dr. Jetha is a true gem! I loved his class it was engaging teaches you useful/practical info! The textbook used was just a book we needed to read for class which honestly was an interesting read and there IS A FREE pdf online!!!! Loved this class
It was an easy class, so maybe the reviews are a bit bloated. However, Prof. Jetha actually was genuinely a good professor, regardless of the class. Explains things very clearly and often talks about real-world applications and examples of the course material.
Dr. Jetha is great. If you follow along in class you will do well. He is a nice guy and he cares.
Jetha did a great job at teaching the entire course. Tests and quizzes are easy if you go to class. Nothing is meant to trick you.
He was very nice and made the material easy to grasp. The 1st section of the class, requires reading the book to be successful. The concepts presented in class would be much more difficult to understand without reading. For the 2nd section, making sure you're attentive in class for learning excel is essential. The excel content was very useful.
Professor Jetha is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is extremely fair about how he grades each thing, and gives a lot of leeway in extensions for genuine reasons. He is always open to answer questions and goes over a concept multiple times in class. The first half of the semester follows the MPC book, the last half is excel.
Jetha is a good professor. He teaches an interesting subject thats actually applicable to the world (teaches about how companies use data and teaches you excel). Class was lecture heavy and all assignments had clear rubrics. Tests/quizzes were ok. This is not a very difficult class.
this class is literally so easy to do well in you literally just have to know the basics
Love this guy. He now teaches the whole semester instead of him switching w/ another prof for the excel part. His lectures are very detailed and he shares the pwpts so you can use those for the quizzes. There's one group project that spans 4-6 weeks so get a good group. TAs grade that project so as long as you turn something in you're good
Great Professor, first half of the semester is pretty general, and the second half goes over Excel. Dr. Jetha is passionate about MIS, and that makes all the difference in his lectures. While teaching Excel, he will readily go over things 3 or 4 times if a student does not understand, and is extremely patient.
Sweetest man ever and made me consider majoring in MIST. The class was interesting and I learned lots about excel. Most all the homework is group work and is easy too. This semester was fully open note, so the quizzes and stuff may be harder for future students. After most classes, he does lecture checks, so try to go to class but not mandatory.
Jetha is an amazing prof. The content of this class was somewhat boring, but he made it better through his lectures. He often dismissed class early, which was nice. The class is two distinct parts, with the first being based on a book and the second being Excel. He is super helpful and takes time to explain things thoroughly. Great guy overall.
This was by far one of my most interesting classes while also being one of my most easiest classes. Dr. Jetha made lectures and topics very interesting and easy to understand which was great. The first half of the class is revolved around a book and a group project while the 2nd half is purely excel. As long as you pay attention you will be fine.
Professor Jetha was a fantastic professor. He thoroughly went over and explained any questions that a student asked him. He made the class interesting and you will walk away with a good understanding of navigating excel.
Great professor, interesting lectures. First half of the semester had weekly group projects, but they are for a completion grade. Small lecture and reading checks every class, but they are there to boost your grade. Tests aren't too bad as long as you take good notes. Excel portion is a little tricky, but manageable. Great guy, highly recommend.
Honestly, Professor Jetha is just a straight beast and that's really enough said in itself. If you want some brownie points, ask him about his twitch that he swears he doesn't have and I promise you he'll laugh. The course is a little homework heavy but that's just the nature of it. Super easy overall and if you have any brain cells, you pass.
Easy A. Quizzes, HW, Projects, and Exam are all easy. There is a textbook for the first quiz, but I didn't read and got a 100. Look at his slides and you'll be fine. Once the excel unit starts, I'd recommend going to class. Other than that, as long as you look at the slides, you should be fine. Attendance is "required" but they don't check.
His lectures are straightforward and easy to understand. Easy grader and the quizzes are straightforward. Midterm was easy and learning excel was easy so the final was too. Don't stress about this class.
goat.
He is one of the best professors I have had at UGA. He makes the content interesting and easy to understand. Most of the assignments are graded for completion and tests/quizzes for the most part are open note. Everybody likes him and his class is part of the reason I became an MIS major. Highly recommend.
More professors need to be like Dr. Jetha! His class was one of my favorite at UGA. He is an amazing professor and knows what he is doing. Even though the class I was in was a huge lecture, he made it interesting. He is very good at explaining even difficult topics. He genuinely cares about his students. Take his class!
Great teacher. Truly cares about his students and is very understanding. First half of semester not mandatory but second half I would suggest going.
There are two parts to the class. 1st - Focuses on lectures, PowerPoints, and book reading 2nd - Excel and formulas There are numerous quizzes, a midterm, and a final. He explains concepts well and gives real-world examples. Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommend you attend the 2nd part bc he shows you exactly what to do.
Dr. Jetha is a truly great professor; he often seeks feedback from students on pacing/quality of lessons, is a fast grader, assigns fair amounts of work, and has fairly interesting lectures. It is clear he is passionate about MIST, which makes his class so much more tolerable. Really kind guy.
Great teacher, easy class. The excel lectures are the second half of the class and in my opinion are the most applicable to a future job. The first half of the class is alright, and the group project is essentially a completion grade.
Amazing lecturer!!!
Dr. Jetha really cares about his students and he puts effort into making sure he is providing enough outside materials. Attendance isn't mandatory but I recommend attending, especially for the second half of the course, because his teaching is helpful for the exams. There is homework, but it is manageable. I enjoyed having him as a professor.
Dr. Jetha's lectures are very straightforward. There's one group project that's pretty much a completion grade. There's one book that he assigns to read, but all tests and quizzes are open note. The second half of the semester is excel which is so useful and he takes his time teaching everything but sometimes the class is extremely slow. So nice!
Dr. Jetha is my favorite professor at UGA. He simply knows a lot about what he is talking about and also makes everything he teaches easy to understand. He made me switch my major to MIS because of how interesting he makes the class. Would highly recommend taking 2090.
You can't go wrong with Karim. He treats all students with respect and answers questions with unwavering patience. I'm contemplating switching my major from Finance to MIS because of him!
If every teacher was Karim Jetha the world would be a better place. This man's class, while not being the most interesting of subjects, was made interesting by his energy and humor. I loved learning about a Birkin bag with Karim. He deserves every 5/5 on here.
Great professor. Very straight-forward as long as you do your work you should be fine
Jetha is amazing. The class is super easy although I've heard rumors he may make it more difficult next semester. Haven't gone to class much at all and still should end with an easy A. Everything is open note and for the excel portion he posts review videos online to help you learn the info. Worst part of this class was I had it at 8am lol
Dr. Jetha is the best professor at UGA. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, probably the most knowledgeable intro-level class professor there is. He genuinely wants everyone to succeed, and it's not hard to. Part A of the course is very easy, just a tiny book you don't even have to read. The Excel part is tough, just GO TO CLASS, and you'll be fine.
Overall, Professor Jetha does a great job of structuring this course. All of the tests are open note and the lecture checks after each class cover the material discussed in class. Attendance is not mandatory but it does help to understand the material. He is open to feedback and will work with students. Good class and an overall great professor!
Dr. Jetha is one of my favorites. His class is well-structured. quizzes and midterm/final were all open note and doable without them if you attend class. we read one book and the rest of the class was excel. very interesting and useful class, definitely will take more of his courses.
Great professor. Easy A class, 3 quizzes, one midterm and one final. One project that isn't hard to complete and can be done easy, reading checks and excel checks. He teaches Part A and Part B of the class now so you don't have to worry about having him leave halfway through the semester anymore.
Easy class, great professor. You get out what you put in. Second half (Excel is very applicable to our career. First half of semester is a conceptual intro to MIS, and second half is learning Excel. Don't need class for first half unless there's a lecture check, but definitely go second! Easy professor, but actually learning is up to you
Dr. Jetha is the best professor out there. The first half of the class is on a book, which you can find a free PDF online, and the second half is based on excel. Attendance isn't mandatory, but for the excel portion, there is no reference guide... so show up! He's super funny and makes jokes that everyone understands. Take his class!
Karim is the goat. His teaching is extremely easy to follow and explains throughout his lecture. He is very understanding and simply wants his students to learn. Exams are fair. Attendance is optional. Great MIST 2090 Prof.
The first half of the semester is easy with answers to every quiz and hw online. Attendance isn't mandatory. Go to class for the second half, the excel portion is a lot to remember and really hard to catch up on if you aren't in class. Make sure you understand what he is doing in class for excel. Grades from 3 quizzes, midterm, final, and easy hw.
Dr. Jetha is amazing! He is such a nice guy and makes the class as simple and as interesting as possible. Go to class the second half of the semester to learn excel, but overall an easy A.
I enjoyed MIST 2090 with Dr. Jetha. For Part A, you read a book and take very easy quizzes/tests over it. There is a fun and easy group project as well. For Part B, you learn Excel. It's still easy, but you put in more effort than in Part A. He explained concepts thoroughly in class and posted videos to explain the homework and review for tests.
Dr. Jetha is an amazing professor. His lectures are not mandatory, but you should attend them if you want to do good on the quizzes and excel checks. His lectures can be fast-paced, but they are manageable to follow.
One of my favorite teachers at UGA; just an overall enjoyable class and pretty easy A.
Very cool guy. The tests were very clear and came straight from the notes.
class was extremely easy, as long as you show up to class and pay attention you will be fine. My only complaint is that if you miss class (especially in the excel portion) it is a little difficult to catch up and complete the excel check bc he did not upload the materials we went over during class until after the excel check was due.
Jetha is the gold standard of how a professor should be at UGA. Literally just attend class & you'll be fine. & you learn a valuable skill, leaving with knowledge on the ins/outs of excel necessary to help a business function. I think he may have convinced me to take up MIS as my major after this semester.
loved him! didn't need to go to class for the first half of the semester. i had to retake a test and he was very understanding.
Professor Jetha is awesome. Super easy class, and he's really funny. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I would go when the Excel curriculum starts. It's an easy A, as long as you keep up with your assignments. Highly recommend!
very easy class. It got a bit more difficult in the second half when they taught excel, but if you go to class you will be fine. I never went to class for the first half of the semester and did well. There is a decently big project in the first half of the course but it is super easy and graded on completion.
Professor Jetha was a good professor. I would take agin. Necessary attendance for quizzes and do not forget lecture checks after class lectures, not all though. The only reason I got an A- was because I was on the edge of an A- and an A and I had accidentally missed two lecture checks! The book used is accessible online!
Karim Jetha is an amazing guy! I loved his personality and his humor. He wasn't the greatest professor (he mainly read off the powerpoints) but made the class super easy for his students. The content wasn't difficult to understand and the tests/quizzes were all open-note and online. I would take this class again!
I took the summer class and really liked it. There's a lecture & lab part but Dr. Jetha makes it really clear and easy. You don't have to read the textbook for summer, there's a midterm and final for both parts, and a final project. If you put effort in the project exercises you can use them and submit them for the final project. 100% recommend
Very passionate about mist and was an interesting lecturer. class was super easy and useful
Easy class, defiently the teacher to take for MIST.
Everyone knows Professor Jetha is an easy grader and very lenient on class assignments overall. However, he is very knowledgable and passionate about the subject matter. If you don't understand something, he will explain it in every possible way until you get it. He cares about his students and wants everyone to leave class knowing more about MIS.
Professor Jetha is really passionate about the subject matter and is very lenient and helpful! The first half of the class is easy and attendance does not really matter, but the second half of the class can get very confusing and tedious if you do not attend. Overall, the class was easy.
He is the boy
fun professor, makes class easy enough but you still learn. you can choose not to go to a lecture and do well
awesome teacher!
This class is very straight forward and not many surprises when it comes to quizzes and tests. Attendance is not required but would highly recommend going to class because it is very helpful in the long run. Do your assignments and do not be afraid to ask for help and you will do good.
All the test and quizzes are open note which is great. You dont even have to show up much till excel starts
I love professor jetha! he is really awesome and passionate about what he is teaching. my only advice is ACTUALLY come to class even though attendance is not mandatory.
Dr. Jetha is probably the best professor I have had at UGA. He is a great lecturer, he is young and lively and very accessible. The class and tests were very easy. I would recommend him to anyone taking MIST2090.
he's so organized. never went to a class and made a 100 on the final and a in the course. his elc is so helpful and hes very kind and determined to get you an a in the class.
I really enjoyed Professor Jetha! His class was very organized, and he gave Amazing lectures! You can tell he is truly passionate about MIST through his lectures. Part A of the class was straightforward, and the lectures were fascinating. Part B of the class was slightly more difficult and required attendance. Recommend him to everyone!
He was awesome. Lectures and homework were straightforward and all tests and quizzes were open note. he gives so many resources to help you do very well in the class. Attendance is never mandatory, but especially during the Excel section it is helpful to go.
The first half of the class is super easy and covers broad topics in MIS. The second half is over excel, which is a little harder but still easy if you go to class. All assignments including quizzes and exams are open note, so it's very easy to do well on them.
Best professor for MIST2090. He actually uses ELC for the assignments unlike a lot of other professors which helps when you're trying to remember due dates. All tests are easy and open note. You really don't need to show up to class much since the material is online. Just remember to show up during excel lectures and you're set.
Super cool dude. He has a textbook but I wouldn't recommend getting. Also don't bother going to the class for the first half of the semester. Once excel starts you need to go EVERY class. Love this man though
Very simple and straightforward class.
Very easy course. Don't go to class the first half and don't read the book, not at all necessary. I recommend downloading a pdf of the book online for free which you can use during exams and command F. Excel portion of the class is super useful. All exams are open note, you'll be fine.
Karim is an absolute god and is the best professor I have ever had. This class is very easy and you dont have to come to class for the first half of the semester. The second half is nothing but excel so come to class in order to do well. DO NOT TAKE ANYONE ELSE FOR MIST 2090
Karim Jetha is an amazing professor. The first half of the semester is group projects, textbook readings, and data models in MIS. The second half is using Excel. Tests and quizzes were open-note, and the class was an easy A if you put in the effort. I recommend going to class even if attendance isn't mandatory because it helps in the long run.
He is the cutest sweetest man ever. All quizzes and exams are open note. I went to class the entire semester, but you can go to a time you aren't enrolled in and only really need to go when the excel portion starts. For excel he posts videos walking through all of the practice problems and you can watch them during the exams. I loved him.
it is a very easy class that i didn't feel like/have to study for any exams. this literally makes it hard to retain the material taught in class b/c since its an easy class you dont have to even attend. people would have taken the class more seriously if there were more strict rigid rules set in place. but overall nice class that is stress free.
first half of semester was easy, but excel is definitely more difficult. go to class bc it was getting confusing and tedious at times. but overall chill class and good professor who is ready for the day with his diet coke early in the morning lol
Best MIST 2090 Professor. Class is cake
First half was a breeze. Have a book to read as well as reading checks and lecture checks. Everything is open note and online. Also have a project that spans weeks but it isn't too difficult. The second half gets a bit more difficult with Excel. I highly recommend always going to class. Lots of Excel checks. But he cares a lot about his students!
Professor Jetha is great! This class wasn't too interesting to me, but I learned a lot of useful info in Excel. I recommend going to class, especially in the second half of the semester, but it' never mandatory. He's super sweet, accommodating, and makes it to where everyone can get a good grade. Take him!!
I loved professor Jetha! He made having to go to an 8am not so unbearable. Attendance isn't mandatory, so you really don't have to go during part A of the course. However, definitely don't let that give you a false sense of security for part B of the semester. It's heavy on excel and definitely helps to attend class and really pay attention.
He is an amazing professor and all of his assignments are very easy and self explanatory. I took him for an 8 am and do not regret it. You don't need to go the first half of the semester but need to show up for the Excel part
Jetha is the man. Definitely worth the 8 A.M. but you don't really need to be in class until the excel portion of class. His lectures are interesting and exciting, and the dude is simply funny. I plan to take him for more classes in the future, because I really enjoyed being in his class.
Loved this class and Dr. Jetha made it very enjoyable. It is lecture heavy but I really enjoyed this. He explains things very well and this may be my favorite class I've ever taken. Do your work on time and do the projects correct and you'll be fine. Attendance not mandatory.
Jetha is such an easy professor to take this class with. Everything is open note and straightforward. The textbook reading can even be interesting at times. He is accessible outside of class and encourages questions in class.
This man is Microsoft Excel. Loved him so much, and he slays my life with his satchel everyday. Nothing is too hard in the class, but I would recommend going to the Excel lectures as I feel the quiz and final over the content would probably be difficult with many absences.
Jetha was a great professor, explained all the material very clearly and the coursework itself wasn't too difficult. All the homework, tests, and quizzes were through ELC and open note, so it was very easy to get an A in this class.
Jetha is a great professor that has a clear course structure that makes it easy to succeed. You don't need to go to class for the first half, BUT GO FOR EXCEL OR YOU WILL NOT PASS. He shows you how to do the problems in class, they're simple if you go. Exams are open note and projects are fair and quick. If you have the chance, take him.
Dr. Jetha is a great professor! The class schedule was clearly outlined and the content built on itself. I learned a lot, especially during the Excel portion of the class.
Jetha is a fantastic teacher. This is the easiest class at UGA. If go to class during the Excel part, you will get a 100 on the tests.
Jetha is a very good professor. He made my 8:00 am bearable. His test are open note. The first half is reviewing a book that is about the future of MIST and a group project spent building an app. The second half is excel. Please go to class during the excel portion. He explains all of the problems and is very knowledgeable about what he teaches.
Karim Jetha was a good teacher. I took his online May-mester course. The class itself wasn't hard but he took FOREVER to grade assignments.
The first part of his class is just lectures about MIST then he moves into Excel for the 2nd half. All of the tests are open notes, and if you have any questions about anything he is super helpful. If you can take him, do it!!
My favorite professor at UGA. He knows his stuff and makes his lectures funny and relevant. All quizzes and tests are on quizlet. You could literally skip everyday for the first half and be fine, but go to the excel classes and you will do well in that half too. Should be an easy A if you try at all.
Jetha's 2090 section is incredibly easy. I literally have never heard a single person in any one of his classes complain about difficulty. The first half of the class is based on a non-fiction book, but you do not even have to read to do well on the quizzes and projects. The class took like 10 minutes out of my week. Also he is fun and relatable.
Jetha a king. You can basically skip all of Part A which ends at the midterm. All quizzes and the midterm are are open note and extremely easy. You must show up for Part B which is excel. I know it sucks, but you wont do well on excel if you dont go. If you miss a couple days, no problem he posts vids on elc about excel topics we cover.
Jetha is the best, enough said. While a lot of people will skip part A of his class, it is actually super interesting and his lectures are wonderful. Part B, you definitely have to show up and pay attention. Overall the class is fairly easy and information in the class is useful and interesting.
hilarious and genuinely sweet professor! makes learning easily and accessible, even if you're not class. very sweet and always helps students after class if needed. 10/10 recommend!
Dr. Jetha is great! For the first half of the class, he made some of the more conceptual aspects of the class pretty interesting. The excel portion is definitely harder like many people say; I missed only one class and felt very behind. But, his review videos are great and he's good about answering questions after class. Definitely take him
Great professor, this is a pretty easy class. He's a really nice guy and makes lectures enjoyable. He's great about answering questions and clarifying things. You need to go to class, especially the second half of the semester. This was an easy A class and Jetha made it interesting.
You don't have to come to class for Part A, and even if you miss some classes in Part B, Dr. Jetha posts enough resources for you to fully catch up. He is also very accessible and helpful if you have any questions about the content!
Prof. Jetha is a god. By far my favorite prof and lecture at UGA and would take again a million times. Easy class if you go to lectures. Open notes on everything. Very compassionate and respected. Posts all presentations and is genuinely an easy A if you go to lectures and actually pay attention. Notes are your friend and so is Dr. Jetha!
Easy class, nice guy. You don't have to go to class, but the tests suck in the later half of the semester if you skip. One book, costs like 10 bucks and was an interesting read
Jetha is amaze! first half of the class is a joke, and so easy. i would recommend going to class for the second half though, as the excel stuff can get a little tricky. He posts video reviews for excel and i would strongly recommend watching them before the quiz. overall the project is super easy, and hes really understanding and funny.
the best prof at UGA ever. so baby angel. take him if you have the opportunity. I barely studied and missed several assignments and still finished with an A. the best class i've taken at UGA
Dr. Jetha is amazing! Lectures are entertaining and engaging. Learning excel the 2nd half of the class was very useful.
Very simple and straightforward class. Professor Jetha explains concepts in a monotone but direct manner. Attendance not mandatory so only need to show up in the 2nd half of the semester for Excel (as someone who went to every single class). Don't need to buy the book (engage in piracy if anything). Easy class, made a 100 on the final exam.
Easy class, only need to show up the second half for excel. All tests are open book so class is easy
You better hope you get this professor for MIST 2090 because he has been my favorite professor yet. Everything is well organized and you will always now what is coming up. The first half is machine, platform, crowd, which i thought to be very interesting and the second half is learning excel. I would recommend you to take the time to learn excel.
Great professor who wants you to succeed. Very prompt in answering questions and just an overall good experience. I would strongly encourage you to attend class in the latter half of the section after the midterm, as you do need to put in some work and get used to inputting equations on Excel.
I would definitely recommend him for MIST. Class isn't mandatory and a lot of the homework checks and other assignments can be quizletted. I would recommend going to class during the 2nd half over Excel, because I started to struggle when I skipped those lectures. But overall very attainable A.
Prob one of the few professors I'd ever consider taking again. He is the undisputed king for a reason. You can skip the first half of the semester bc its just projects that can be done in 15 mins due every other week. Tests are easy as well. Just go to excel portion please. You will be so lost and you have to show work for them. If you go, its easy
Dr. Jetha was a very engaging and insightful professor. His lectures were fairly interesting and you could always see enthusiasm when he taught. All assignments were open note and homework was pretty easy. Overall great professor and would take him again!
there are two sections of this class, A and B. For part B (which is an excel course), make sure you go to every class if possible. If you do, you shouldn't have to study much. This class was honestly very useful, especially the excel portion.
The first half of the year is just completion. I never went to class. The second half, you need to be taught the material. When I went to class, I didn't think he taught the material in an easy way, and he was condescending to people who were confused. He started posting videos online which were helpful and made the class better. Take in 1st year.
Super easy class
Absolutely amazing . so easy you need to go in person for the second part of the class but never the first part all tests are also open note!
All I have to say is that this guy needs to slow down on the coffee. Be prepared to try to listen to a guy who speaks terribly fast.
Jetha is such a king and I would never take anyone else if I could. He is hilarious and tries his best to keep everyone engaged. The first half of class attendance is optional which some very easy open note quizzes. The second half is all excel and he manages to make it informational but still enjoyable. Genuinely couldn't recommend more.
Jetha makes an already easy class even easier for his students. The first half is based off the textbook, with the second being based on excel. Attendance is not mandatory at all, but you should go every day in the second half. Quiz and exam questions come straight from the PowerPoints, with notes being able to be used on them.
really good teacher, but very fast paced. the first half of semester is easy and attendance isn't mandatory but it helps. Lots of group work at first but graded very nicely. Excel half of semester is difficult, u need to go to class. He gives a lot of opportunities to do well and grades pretty nicely, but excel is hard bc u either know it or u dont
Take him if you can!! You seriously don't have to go to class until halfway through the semester. The second half is still so easy if you go to class.
Really enjoyed his class. Attendance is not mandatory, but honestly it makes everything a lot easier. Clear grading criteria. His lectures are informative and he usually lets you out of class a little early. Super chill guy, just do the assignments and go to class during the excel portion and you'll be fine.
Super easy class up until Excel portion. Is very straightforward and quizzes are based directly off of classwork
Ive had him for the intro and he's great but this class was a little more difficult. its basically you watch his prerecorded lectures and do one assignment per week. same for 4040E.The ending project in each quarter is insanely more difficult compared to what was taught via lecture so be prepared overall he's great and can give extensions as needed
Dr. Jetha is an amazing professor. He cares and you can tell he loves what he teaches. The excel portion does go pretty fast, but if you pay attention and lock in during class time you'll be fine. Pretty easy class to do well in.
Dr. Jetha is an amazing professor! He genuinely cares about his students and offers many resources to help them succeed. The only reason I rated him a 4 instead of a 5 is because sometimes he would move fast during the lectures and I found it difficult to keep up. However, if you go to the lectures (especially the 2nd half) you will be fine!
Dr. Jetha is a great professor. The entire first half of the class is super simple, with pretty much every thing online on quizlet. The second half is a little more challenging in learning excel. But this guy knows what he's doing and is easily accessible.
Jetha teaches this class great, he's funny and very helpful if you have questions. The first half of the semester, attendance is very optional, but I wouldn't recommend missing the second half. Attendance isn't required but the excel stuff is pretty difficult to learn on your own. You always get out of class early and I had a fun time with excel
It was a good class. He moves fast, but he will do the steps multiple times especially when asked. The first half you don't have to go to class and everything is online, but you want to go to class for the second half to learn excel.
First half of the semester was a breeze. you dont have to go to class its all online. When he started excel, he went through things SO quickly. He also posted review videos which was nice. excel was def hard but he made it do-able.
MIST 2090 with Dr. Jetha was a breeze! You definitely do not need to go to class for the first half, but I would try to go for the Excel portion as it can be difficult to teach Excel formulas to yourself. While the 8 AM section was sometimes tedious to sit through, we usually got out at least 15 minutes early! Dr. Jetha knows the content so well!
Highly rec Jetha. 1st half of semester is based on the book, 2nd half is all Excel. Group projects for first half of the class. GO TO CLASS for the Excel part if you want an A. Exams can be a bit tricky- many failed the final because they didn't go to class. Make sure you complete excel checks & review before tests. Otherwise you'll get an A.
First half of the course you really don't even need to show up. Second half is excel which you need to go to in order to learn it, but as long as you show up you will be fine.
The first half of class is incredibly easy, but it gets more difficult when Excel is introduced (attend class at this point). Very accessible outside of class on Piazza platform, tries to make lectures engaging/relevant, and posts tons of materials to use when studying for exams/quizzes (especially for Excel). Low-stress, easy introductory course.
Professor Jetha is very good at what he does, he's able to answer any questions and is accessible outside of class. 2090 is by far the easiest Terry required course you'll take, first part of the class is going over a book and creating a business model which is easy. The second half of the class is more challenging but exams are open book.
took summer 2024 and loved it. 5 assignments and 1 final. it takes a few hours to learn the basics but once you do, r is a pretty user-friendly coding language. super quick responses on email and super kind.
Easiest class ever it's impossible not to get an A+. He's an easy grader, and I would 100% have him again as a professor. Attend every single excel class. You don't need to go for the first half. Only take Jetha!
First part is extremely easy, you don't have to go to class. The second part is excel and you should go. Easy A
This guy teaches like he's trying to run away from everyone. They changed the layout this year so it is harder in the start, and this guy does not make it any easier. He speaks a million miles an hour so it's impossible to take notes, and when he gives you an opportunity to do it yourself. He starts speaking again after 10 seconds.
Prof. Jetha's 2090 class is a solid intro course. First half is a breeze, but the Excel portion requires attending class. Unstuck study was super helpful for practicing Excel formulas before exams.
This class has completely changed, for there is little conceptual and heavy excel coding. If you are not familiar with excel like myself get ready for a class that is like a foreign language. Also, this guy teaches like his heads on fire and goes so so fast! I dread this class everyday. Don't pay attention to past ratings. This is Terry required.
Karim is awesome! The class is pretty boring but he made it somewhat engaging. Honestly, just go to class (especially during excel portion of the class) and do your homework and you should get an A.
I loved this class and the way Jetha taught it. The lectures could get a bit boring but he made it as engaging as possible. I loved the Excel part, and Jetha never hesitated to redo things for his students. The quizzes were not that bad plus they were open note.s I would recommend to anyone and everyone to take Jetha. Good luck!!!
Nice guy who moves through the material quickly. He answers questions happily, but you can not look away for even a second - you will miss information. Also, there are only 3 quizzes, each worth 15% of the overall grade, so definitely take that into consideration. The fall 2024 update of this class is more difficult than others, so GO TO CLASS.
they changed the layout of this class this semester, so now Excel is spread throughout the entire semester. you will have a semester-long project and three tests that are online open notes. from a personal perspective, I would study for the test and fail them, so? but the other assignments will save your grade! we would also get out early alot
Great professor, he can go pretty fast at times, but if you have a question he does a really good job of explaining. There are a lot of projects, but they're all pretty easy as long as you choose the right people to work with. There are 20 check in quizzes throughout the semester and the quizzes are open note, I would still study before hand.
Jetha is the best! Exams are open note. Excel portion can get a little confusing, just GO TO CLASS ON EXCEL DAYS! Don't leave the room until you know how to do it correctly. The study guides he puts out are really helpful to review the excel and is basically like the exam. He is super caring! He was super gracious with grading exams/projects.
They changed the layout of this course and made it more difficult than I originally thought from reading the reviews. However, Professor Jetha is amazing and you can tell he really cares about his students and is passionate about the course. He gave some extra credit and provided great resources for the quizzes. I would definitley take him again
Overall a great guy, so open to feedback. They changed the layout and made it harder, but overall it's not that bad. Excel is hard but he makes it easier for sure, take Jetha he's the goat
Changed layout from previous years but was still easy. Quiz after each class of about 5 questions. You also work on a app idea over the semester and then compile each of those assignments into a portfolio. Test were open note / open internet so they were super easy with minimal studying.
New class structure this year meaning you have to come from the beginning instead of just second half excel portion. Dr. Jetha moves fast at times but is receptive to feedback. Have to come to class for participation grade. Tests/quizzes are toughish but the practice given is enough to do well. Also are open note so just do practice and use it.
Amazing professor. Non-mandatory attendance. Few assignments, 3 quizzes, and a final. All quizzes and tests are in person. Content can be a bit challenging but he offers extra points and does questions several times to make sure everyone understands. Always ends class early.
Dr. Jetha is one of the best professors I had. His Excel classes are a bit fast, but you can just ask him to go slower. Tests are opennote and easy as long as you understand the material. Conceptual lectures are skippable since he posts slides, but I would recommend going to all his Excel lectures (class topics are posted in his calendar).
I loved Dr. Jetha's class, it was interesting, his lectures can be a bit fast but they're very helpful. He does in class practice for Excel which is really thorough and helpful. He has videos of walkthroughs too! I didn't go to every lecture since since it's not necessary (resources online). He also rounds tests which is really nice!
They changed the course so it'll feel rough at first but just practice over and over again & pay attention during excel lectures, he talks fast no matter how many times you tell him but that takes time, project pick a good partner(s), check-in quiz easy if you pay attention. Honestly heard MILLERS exams are harder, so... GOOD LUCK!!
Very easy grader and all quizzes/assessments are open-note. If you know how to do what's on the review sheet before the quiz, you will get an A.
Dr. Jetha is perfect. I love him so much. SUCH a good lecturer...super clear & can go fast but if you tell him to slow down, he does. So easy to talk to. Best way to describe him is smart, laidback millennial. Lots of review materials available. Take honors if possible...we got more extra credit points since we took the tests before large classes
take jetha!! he's so understanding and a very chill person; at the same time, his lectures are interesting and he's very in touch with what students want to learn about and frequently asks our feedback on how he's doing! I have 0 complaints and highly recommend taking mist2090 with jetha!
Jetha is the GOAT except for his lectures can be EXTREMELY fast paced and hard to follow his speed. He is very willing to do problems over again as long as you ask him so do that. Swicthed up the course this year to make it both conceptual ideas and excel at the same time, SHOW UP TO CLASS ON EXCEL DAYS. Study the night before and you'll do fine.
Dr. Jetha is a great teacher, very understanding of his students and the road bumps that came with the carriculum change. Don't go into this class thinking it will be a cakewalk; you still need to do some work and a little bit of studying for the quizzes (which are basically tests). All quizzes are open notes/resources. only need to study excel.
Dr. Jetha is my favorite teacher that I've had at UGA so far. He was always so engaging and made sure to do his best to help us any way he could. This is not a class that you can just skip. A) He super funny and B) you're gonna want to be there for all the excel stuff. If you have the chance, take him!
Loved Jetha. He is very fast paced but will slow down if you ask. He rewrote the curriculum, but I think the information is important to any business concentration and honestly needed to be harder than what is used to be. Just go to class when he does excel or watch the online vids he posts after. very helpful if you ask him questions after class.
super sophisticated professor! you can tell professor jetha loves what he teaches which made the lectures and excel portion interesting. the class structure wasn't my fav but i definitely learned valuable content!
One of the best professor I think I will ever have. A very chill guy who really cares for his students. He changed up his class by integrating excel and concept days. Concept days are pretty easy to understand but go if you can. Be sure to attend Excel days because there's no slides for them and it makes more sense when he works it out too.
The class restructure made this class a little tougher but if you go to class on the excel days you will be set for the exams. He is really passionate about what he teaches it and it is worth to go to class. Exams are a mix of conceptual questions and excel questions that can be a little more difficult but still easy enough to get through
Dudes just a chill guy. Go to class on excel days and you'll do just fine.
Great relaxed guy who cares a lot about his students and is very talented at what he does. he was especially lenient with his Honors students, and overall this class is super easy. he did take forever to grade the projects and add extra credit to an exam, but he got there eventually
He talks very fast and is hard to follow if you get just slightly behind. The tests and quizzes are not that challenging they are like the practice problems that he gives out. Attendance is not required but it is helpful to go to all of the days where he is teaching excel.
Such a G. Funny guy, teaches well
Great professor, just tricky class. I am not the best at coding so this class was super frustrating to me and not what I expected. The overall course learning is not too bad. Pre-recorded lectures that tell you how to do everything, just a lot to do and if you are not code savvy it will be frustrating. He is leniant on deadlines so dont stress much
He moves way too quick. One of the worst teachers I have had
class moves really really fast with the excel, but tests are open notes so as long as you take notes and have somewhat of an understanding of what is going on, this class is super easy
All tests are on ELC ( you need to be in class to get password but its all open notes- no lockdown browser) there is a review quiz due at the end of each class- super easy, open notes, take 10 mins. essentially a project based class, work in groups and do a portion of the project every couple weeks- super easy and
Great prof. He knows what he is teaching and he is caring. If you can definitely take the honors section where he will get to know you. Entertaining and an easy class. Content is boring but if you know what to review you'll be fine.
love Dr. Jetha. I took his honors section of MIST 2090 and it was a great experience. It is the same content as the non-honors section but is taught in a much smaller and slower setting. This is preferable as you are able to develop rapport with Dr. Jetha. The class isn't too hard as all tests are open notes and it's easy to get help.
Karim was a great teacher, but the school revamped this class. Excel is hit harder than ever before and you need to stay on top of all the work he does in class. The conceptual days you can "skip" but when there is an excel day, DO NOT SKIP. You will not pass this class if you skip. Tests are dueable, open note. Please do the excel on your own.
Jetha is an amazing professor who clearly knows a lot about the content of the course and is so helpful throughout the teachings. He is very forgiving with grading and is almost a guaranteed A as long as you show up to class and follow along with his lectures.
Professor Jetha is a very kind and knowledgeable man. His classes can be slow and boring, but they are often important for tests. He makes it very easy to pass the class! I'd def take him!!
Prof. Jetha is awesome. He is a great lecturer and loves to throw in modern jokes and references. Attendance is not necessarily mandatory, however, don't miss the Excel days! Group projects (completion), and 3 tests (half excel, half conceptual). He is awesome about answering questions in class and providing practice problems. take this
My favorite professor I had this semester. Really engaging and knowledgeable. I found the material fairly easy, but I know a lot of people struggled. Go to class!! It's really hard to catch up if you miss Excel days. Grading is made up of group projects, 3 exams, post-class quizzes, and one final.
Jetha is very clear in what is expected to succeed in this course. UGA changed the format of this class and now is much harder than before. Go to class on excel days and you will do okay. Still requires a bunch more practice, but Jetha posts loads of review to make sure you have the material down. Unit 1 is the hardest to watch out.
If you go to class, you'll be perfectly fine. Exams are open note, open-google, and if you go to class for Excel days you'll do well. Grade is made up of group projects, check-in quizzes, exams, and a final portfolio, but these are all pretty easy if you know what you're doing. He talks fast, and you get out early most days.
Dr. Jetha is amazing, the class expectations are clear and he always tries to keep us engaged with funny references and class content that relates to our interests. Absolutely would take him again. Attendance isn't mandatory, but go to class especially on excel days. Exams are open book.
Jetha is the BEST!!!!! He makes questions fun and relevant and is super engaging!! He's a great professor and I highly recommend him for MIST!
He is a great teacher for excel, and he will always go back and show you something again if you are confused. He prepares you well for the exams as well and the homework check ins are very easy.
bro hes so funny (the last check in quiz had me deadddd ifykyk). dr. jetha is an enigma to me. great professor!! take him!
Such a helpful class and hes super funny and interesting.
Easy class, he lectures very well, does check-in quizzes after lectures but they're very simple. Exams can get kind of tricky on the conceptual part but the excel portions are easy if you come to class and participate. Only way to not do well in the class is by not coming to lectures.
This class is very hard, but Dr. Jetha is a great professor. Be prepared to study hard for Excel material. His lectures are very detailed, but he moves very fast. Everything he discusses is posted on eLc and he provides a lot of extra study material. The exams are hard, but he's a good professor.
Jetha is literally the best and so kind. He's approachable after class ends, and makes assignments group projects, so as long as you meet deadlines you will be fine in that category. Don't forget about check-ins, do a little review before tests, and pay attention in class and you'll make an A.
Jetha was amazing. Always engaging in class. Some say his tests were hard, but I rarely studied. They are open note (not ai). Even though attendance isn't mandatory, excel would be SO hard to learn if I hadn't gone to class. Make sure to do the check in quizzes!
Really enjoyed taking this course with Karim, if you have the choice definitely choose him. You have to go to class, if you don't attend lectures you will fall behind unless you have previous experience with excel. His tests are open note, and if you go to class you should have no issues. His lectures were very interesting and he was very engaging.
Easy class as long as you go to excel days and pay attention. Have about one HW assignment per month other than that its just tests and check in quizzes. Would reccomend.
He makes excel a very approachable topic
Jetha is the GOAT. Funny, engaging lectures, let class out early. Excel portion can be tough but Dr. Jetha posts lots of review stuff. Lectures move pretty quickly but he checks in and will go back and repeat steps if u get lost, attendance not mandatory, but a must if u want to do well. def take him for mist 2090. exams are open book/note
Dr. Jetha takes effort to make this class interesting and enjoyable. I recommend attending the Excel days especially. The group projects are fun. Best professor to take for this course.
Jetha is awesome. Took the honors section and got to know him well. Class is pretty easy as long as you attend the excel lectures and do the practice problems. Conceptual part of class is crazy easy and so is the final. Professor goes out of his way to make the class an enriching experience for students such as bringing in guest speakers.
Probably the best professor I've ever had. Dr. Jetha is super passionate about what he teaches. He's also super funny and will make funny example problems/test questions. He's always helping people when needed and gives a lot of test review. Attendance isn't necessarily mandatory, just online check in assignments on class days. Go to excel days tho
If you can take it as a maymester class do it! One of the easiest and informative classes I have taken over the summer, you have lectures and labs both are simple and straight forward with a project, midterms and finals. If you have questions or concerns email him because he's understanding and quick with responses. Listens to the students needs!
Super chill guy and easy class
Class was very easy, I've gotten a 100 on everything graded in this class (including exams). Just ensure you go to Excel days and you'll be fine!
Dr. Jetha is a great lecturer that makes sure everyone understands the concepts. He will go back over everything twice and even more times if someone asks. He makes everyone comfortable to ask questions no matter how basic they are.
He is the goat. Very funny and easy to approach whenever you have questions especially when you can ask anonymous questions on Piazza where he is very responsive. The class is very easy just pay attention and you will be fine. He uses tophat and if you can do good on the practice questions you are good for the exam. Also exams are open google.
Dr. Jetha ran a tight ship and a good class. He's patient, lenient with work, actually explains why we learn things, and for an Intro to Excel class, he makes it very engaging. Most of the grade is in the 10 quizzes he does, and the three tests are easy 80's. Your end of class project is just combining all the other projects into a portfolio.
Everyone who's in Terry will tell you he's the goat. MIST isn't a very hard class but Jetha makes it fun as well. Take him he's an amazing professor
Great Professor
Great professor for MIST, makes understanding Excel functions easy and enjoyable. His lectures are interesting, and he really cares about his students, as he will often discuss job opportunities and fields he thinks would be great for his students. Could not recommend him more!
By far the best option for 2090, such a chiller and the lectures are informative and easy to follow. Goes back and does the entire problem step by step if someone is stuck
Great professor. Obvious that he is very knowledgeable in these topics and teaches clearly. Always willing to stop and help if someone needs it.
Super easy class and great professor. Attendance is taken through Top hat but there's a good amount of drops. Tests are open note and clear cut. He doesn't post the excel content covered during class but he does post lectures. Knowledgeable, willing to repeat himself and personally assist students. 3 tests, a few assignments, 10 quizzes and final.
He is the best professor!! If you have to take 2090 for Terry, take him! Exams are open-note and open-internet, just no AI. He's super nice and loves answering individual questions during lecture.
Great class- I found it easy but some struggled. Jetha talks fast, so ask him to slow down or re-explain. About 3 tophat q's per class, and he drops some. Very open to feedback. Ongoing project, cumulative exams, and useful Excel work. He teaches a lot beyond the slides, so showing up matters.
Please take Jetha if he is available. He's a great professor with infinite patience, he gives plenty of exam practice (exams are open everything except AI) and there are attendance and low grade drops to help out.
Amazing professor! Best to take for MIST 2090. So funny and engaging. Wants us to succeed. Attendance not mandatory. Does so many practice questions to make sure we know how to do the problems. A lot of projects, but they are easy. Great study guides and review material.
Great teacher and easy class as long as you pay attention. You shouldn't worry too much as there is 3 tests and one final for all the main grades.
Tests were nearly impossible. Online open note but does not help at all.
Jetha the goat as long as you go to class and pay attention you can get an A+. There is virtually no homework and the occasional homework is completion and done in groups. The tests are pretty. They are open note and two parts, one is conceptual the other excel, notes don't rly help for the excel part but are useful for the conceptual
Awesome guy take him
Jetha is the goat. All you need to know. Take his class if you can
He is nice, and exams are basically open internet. But coming fresh out of high school you kinda get lost when he starts talking about concepts. But excel days are okay. And he does post review materials.
Actually the man. Teaches a 250 person lecture as well as possible. If you go to class and pay attention like half the time should be an easy A. Non-excel assignments take like half an hour. Super helpful at office hours.
A really amazing professor! The amount of work he gives is very reasonable and all exams are open note! He is super helpful when you have questions and provides a lot of material and resources to help you study for the exams. His lectures are as interesting as he can make them and explains everything very well!
Open web tests make this class pretty easy. Would recommend unless you have never used excel before as he does go kind of fast during lectures. Hilarious though and very receptive to questions and redoing examples. 10/10.
The absolute GOAT, I emphatically recommend him. This has genuinely been my favorite class this semester, his lectures are incredibly engaging and informative. Even though attendance is not mandatory, I HIGHLY recommend you attend all his classes because excel can be difficult to learn on your own. If you do attend all his classes, it is a breeze.
Overall, a great guy and great class. He talks a little fast, but you don't really need to come to the lecture. Just come for Excel days, and the tests are pretty easy.
Great professor. The class was chill and mostly focused on learning Excel with occasional lectures. He talks a bit fast at times but slows down right away if you ask. Attendance is through TopHat with a timer, which can be a little stressful, but you get 8–9 skips. I'd definitely take him again.
mostly learning the basics of excel which is super easy. he made a boring topic interesting
TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! I didn't even have him as my professor, but all the Youtube videos that my professor linked were from Jetha. He explains things very well.
He teaches excel very well.10 check in quizzes but he drops one, tophat for attendance but he also drops a couple of them. He was a great teacher I would 100% recommend taking him for MIST.
he's my goat
Jetha is the goat, especially for MIST2090. Took his class and instantly admired his teaching style. I will say that if you are prone to skipping class, it would definitely become pretty challenging. However, if you simply go to class and pay attention/participate, it's practically a free A. Classes go by fast, and he's a hilarious dude.
jetha is such an amazing professor and person! his lectures r very clear and are mostly about excel which i think is very useful. the exams are very easy as long as u understand and r open-source/open-note. there are multiple group projects that build up to one final project but are simple and graded leniently. he's super chill and funny, take him!
Take Professor Jetha. While attendance is mandatory he drops a significant amount of Top Hats. Also every test is open notes and internet, and he also has videos for all the excel functions that are extremely useful for review.
R Programming classes (3040/4040) are pretty straight forward but Dr. Jetha still makes sure to give great online lectures and a FREE TO USE textbook. He CARES about the little things and I like that. Helpful and easy assignments, understandable final projects and an amazing person to talk to in office hours. Take this class!
Super chill and nice professor. All lectures using excel are helpful only tricky part for me was the nonexcel questions. You can use notes on exams. Office hours are really helpful. 10 quizzes throughout the semester. Final exam practice is similar to final. Project is easy, follow what the rubric says, copy paste onto final project submission.
Dr. Jetha is incredible, easily one of the best profs I've had at UGA. I started the class unsure what I wanted to do with my life and finished with an A. He's clear, approachable, and teaches Excel well even if you're starting from zero. Don't skip class. Office hours help a ton, and the projects/check-ins are very manageable. Highly recommend.
Dr. Jetha is an incredible MIST 2090 professor. He acknowledges that most students are taking this as a pre-req for Terry, and thus makes the course fairly easy. He delivers class content efficiently. All tests are open note, including the final.
Very easy, just show up to the excel days and you'll get an A
My fav professor ever, literally love him so so much. His class was so funny and very easy. He does lecture fast during excel but he has so many resources posted that if you miss it you can go back and relearn. Tests are open source and really only excel days are important but he's such a goof it's fun to go anyways. Love you jetha!
Jetha is amazing. He's funny, knew his stuff, and also knew how to communicate it. Loves datasets about luxury items (??). Take him if possible.
