Bring a pillow or drink a Ton of coffee, she loves to talk. Always get review handout before the test...very helpfull.
She makes the class easy because she isn't a very good teacher.

Bad, boring class, kindergarten groups get together and answer bad questions from the book. Some poor fool has to read the groups' answer while everyone is talking. Learn very little, wow really bad class...yet painless if you get a review sheet before the test and don't come to class
She was really fun. She makes you laugh and knows how to make you in a good mood. She will admit when she is wrong and never talks down to people.

This teacher was very easy, when you could understand what she was saying. very heavy accent makes it very hard to understand. All we did was groups then she talks for about 30 minutes for each one of the ten questions. The class is very boring, but she is flexible and will let you make-up one exam.

Complete agree with everyone elses comments....this class was basically a self-taught class. Her accient is very heavy and i would always laugh when she would say "tird word countries" (third world countries) and she grades on a "curb".
This was the worst instuctor I've ever had!!!!!! You couldn't understand her at all! The class revolved around her personal life, and not the content of the subject. The study guide for testing was the only saving grace. Memorize the study guide, and you have an A in her class!!!!
A very nice teacher and if you show up to class, read, and pay attention to her study guide you will do well in this class. Tests are straight forward with no "trick" questions and I appreciated that. Highly recommend!
She tells you ahead of time what will be on the test. Her tests are in essay question form. As long as you study and show up, you are good to go!She was very helpful and sweet.
SOC ITV - Shes absolutely insane. Doesnt answer emails/phone calls. Dont be late to her Study guide days because she is gone within 5 minutes after handing them out and there is NO possible way to contact her to get it. ya good times. the study guides basically tell you everything on the test.
This class was horrible! You can barely understand her. She doesn't teach, she talks crap about Bush and freely gives her opinion on everything. This was an absolute waste of time. If you study you'll get an A, but besides that and a research paper, that's all you'll be doing.
Easy class. Do report, do study guide and take test. Home work is really easy. Some interesting subjects come up once in awhile, but mostly lectures. Once again, easy class with very understanding teacher.
Didn't answer questions that were asked directly. Only there a few minutes on review night...not to teach a review, only to hand out study guides, but your grade is affected if you don't show. Repeatedly held reviews during the time we were supposed to be watching the films on cable. Test questions include subjects not yet studied in the book.
I thought her lesson plans were dull and uncreative.
I have mixed feelings about this class. She really is a nice lady, so it is hard to give her a terrible rating but here it is. Boring, extremely political, it is all about her, very unorganized, treats you like a child. Good stuff; it is comical, easy tests and she is happy all the time. She really is hard to not like.
The class was interesting. i enjoyed the layout of theclass. I learned a lot about Human Services. She was compassionate about the subject. Show up to class and do all exams and the research paper. Easy A!
Multiple choice exams and 1 paper
Amin is extreamly helpful and nice. She is not so hard but do the study guide and show up or you are gone...her understanding of what she teaches is vast and pulls refrences from her Palastinian culture as well. She is though tough on exams, do the study guide and you will do fine. If you do not do well she will schedual you to take it again.
Awesome Teacher. She gives you every question on the tests and final. 2 tests, 1 final, and 1 term paper. As long as you participate in class and study the questions before each test, its a some what easy A. so TAKE HER!
Kinda wierd; she keeps the class funny and interesting with her little quirks though. She's an easy grader, but you can't really ask her questions because she never answers directly. But she's easy, just make friends with her she's a pretty cool gal.

i dont know how anyone could say anything bad about her. she is so entertaining, and i LOVED her class. piece of cake, do the study guides, studied the day of the test and Aced them easily. she is great, i would love to take her class again!
She was great. On accident, I missed one review for a test (ITV course). I went to her office 2 days later. She gave me my points and my study guide. Very nice and very helpful! I got an A in the class.
She is a very good teacher, i took her ITV course and it was super easy, just watch the videos and do the reviews and you will recieve a good grade.
Very easy class, pretty much common sense. She gives you a study guide for the tests and it is exactly what is on the test. Research paper is easy, it seemed like everyone in the class got 100% even if they completed their research and paper the day before it was due! She is really nice, good sense of humor. I would recomend taking her class!!
This is any easy class but sometimes seems real long. Attendance sign in, no busy work just in class work, I think four test and a paper. Everyone got 100 on the paper, except someone who didn't turn in references and I think she got like a 90. So, class is common sense and definitions of terms. Multiple choice test, no essay. Mrs Amin is sassy.
This class is easy, but not what I like. You come to class and she assigns you a question #. You and all the other #'s group answer the question and present. Then Karima explains more if needed. She gives a good study guide before each test. Read the book, do the paper, and show up for class and you've got an A
She is a nice, well-meaning person, but her class does not rank high when compared to the other courses I have taken. Her class is easy as long as you show up to class, do your research(which she ONLY deducts points if they are late), and get decent grades on all three tests (which include ec, potentionally raising your test grade 20%).
Show up, Stay awake, do study her study guide, and you will do fine.

The class is a waste of time. Get the study guide, and study for the test.No need to go to class, and you have to write one paper but she doesn't even read them if it is long enough you'll get 100% on it.
i cant believe she is a college professor..she was extremely un-organizedand & late.Her test questions made no sense and full of errors. Paper is auto A if long enough but grade is based on avg of test scores. Easy jr high level class if you can stand her
This class is somewhat easy. Just study off the study guide to pass the exams,and everyone gets a 100% on the paper as long as it is long enough. She seems a little disorganized, other than that one should recieve a grade higher than an B in her class.
Hard to follow. When she gives examples it is hard to see the connection. Study off the study guide to pass the tests because her lectures are not helpful.
quite frustrating. most of the class time was spent doing book-work, what was said was rarely correct, let alone unbiased (she started off the semester explaining capitalism the way marx saw it - bad idea *and it only got worse*).
Do NOT take this class. Terriable instructor. She teaches you nothing in class, and you are in useless groups everyday. I loved sociology, and she made me never want to come to class.

The worst professor I have ever had. The class was a complete waste of time and money. You would be better off just buying the book and reading it and not blowing your hard earned cash on this worthless class. She's a nice person, but a horrible professor.
She is a very nic person, but you its kinda hard to understand what she says half of the time. Most of the class is group work and discussions. There is one term paper in the end but ends up giving everyone an A if you just do what she tells you to. Tests are eassyyy but you gotta put in some study time.

Very easy class if you just need Soc as your requirement, but don't take it if you are trying to major in Soc because you won't learn much. Easy 5 page paper, and then 4 tests with study guides before hand. She does count attendance as a big part of your grade. Easy A if you show up and atleast "try".
You cant understand her with her accent, you learn nothing in class, as long as you do the study guide before the test you could miss class everyday and still get an A. If your just wanting an easy class then i recommend it, but if you want to learn or are majoring in sociology, take someone else.
Super easy class. Consists of easy homework, 2 exams, 1 easy 5 page paper she doesn't read and the final which is only on the last chapters. She is hard to understand, so just take other homework and look like you're writing notes. Do the paper and use the study guides and it's a guaranteed A. So if you need this as a class just for credits take it
She was extremely intimidating at first, but as the class progressed I was more comfortable. Slow start in the material. Little bit of an attitude, but not bad.
Easy. She doesn't read the paper don't stress it. She is really nice. Do the study guides and you'll do fine. I actually learned frm her she is super willing to help. And i hardly went or left early when i did. still got an A though

Participation and dissussion are the key to success in this class. Intelligent participation earns one good points & makes the time fly. Get noticed by her and do all the assigments, easy A.
Karimeh Amin is well versed instructor. Younger kids do not pay attention and are self absorbed. Ms. Amin is a well versed instructor and knows her subject matter quite well. Her humor and demeanor give her a 9 plus in the HOT department
This class was a complete was of time. She doesnt even read the papers she assigns or even looks at the homework. the woman cant even spell certain words.The only good thing about this class was that im sure it was an easy A. but dont take this class to learn anything

She is very unclear and tends to ramble when talking. Only pulls information from the book, and is very disorganized when writing notes on the board. The entire class is lecture with no visuals. the book is only text also no visuals. extremely boring class to attend.
She is very nice, but not a fantastic teacher. Tip: make a friend in the class and have them sign your initials in! That's how she does her attendance! She doesn't even read the research paper, as long as it is formatted correctly, you will get an A! EASY CLASS! Take it over summer so that you won't waste your full semester!
She is a different type of teacher. For her SOCI B2 she let us use notes on tests, and her study guides were good not able to use book on test. We had to do an essay; was easy if you pick a topic you really like or your screwed.

Don't bother taking notes. Just fill out her study guide. She won't even read your research paper. Attend class everyday to get participation points. A really easy class and very boring class.
I honestly like Sociology, and listening to her ramble on in no particular direction off a tangent of another tangent made me drop the class.I can't sit in a class like that for an entire semester.Rather cut my losses now before going any further.If you're looking for an easy A and don't care to really learn anything, I think this class is for you.
I must admit I fell for the trap. I took this class because everyone and the reviews said it was easy. She is a very nice lady, but this class is all over the place. Take it if necessary, if not avoid it. But it is pretty easy and that's a plus!
Easy A. Flexible teacher. You won't learn from her class a lot. but you will pass with A. Do not work hard in your research, she won't read it at all. Pretty much I recommend her class for people who wants easy A in 3 units. That's it :)

I did all of the homework (which was only about 5) did fairly well on all the tests, and got an A on the research paper (obviously) and still got a C! She never ONCE told us our grade and would get mad when we would ask. Very frustrating.
For a class assignment there was a 10 page essay needed to be done. It's really easy if you choose an interesting topic like child abuse. I can tell she doesn't grade it harshly so do it most likely you will get an A on it and the class. It's more like 5 pages because the others are just pages of where you got citations from. Easy.
no. would not take this class with this professor again. she treats you like a child, acts like a grade check is a completely foreign idea and you should not even be required to attend lectures. they're more potent than any sedative.
You can miss a class and know exactly what is going on, just follow the syllabus. She reviews everything on her powerpoint, and if you take notes on that, then you'll pass cuz she lets you use your notes for tests. Pretty easy.
The easiest teacher! Four tests during the semester and they're completely open notes! Including the final! She can be all over the place at times and a little difficult to understand due to her accent. Seriously this is an easy A class. She's very nice and lenient. As long as you ask she is more than willing to give her help and accommodate you.
Would I take her again? NO. Class is beyond boring and her lectures put you to sleep. She goes wayyyy off topic about irrelevant things. She's rude and gets an attitude when u don't understand simple things. The whole class period I watch the clock very boring class that would typically not be boring.
Very nice instructor. Gives study guides that help 100% for tests and exam; even give a final exam study guide! She tends to get off topic and honestly I do not remember anything from this class or much what it is about. So if you want to actually learn what sociology is about take it with someone else. If you want an easy A this class is for you.
All you need to do is walk in for the tests and you have an A. She gives you a packet for the test to use after getting answers from the book. There was one paper and two assignments. Easy A but it's a long boring class with no point.
Easiest class ever! take in the summer so you don't have to deal with this class a whole semester. Test are EXACTLY the study guide in order, word by word. Doesn't even read the only paper due, as long as you have what she asks for as far as ASA format. Definitely take for an easy Acredit.
She is a very sweet lady! I can tell she loves people and care for others. However, I didn't learn anything in her class. I never paid attention because the lectures were not really worth learning. There are 4 tests, including the final. Do the study guide before each test. There is a research paper, but I didn't even do it and still got an "A".
Her accent is heavy and she will sometimes get upset if you ask her to repeat. She posts every lecture on inside BC so her main concern is class participation. She is super funny and not even on purpose. Good instructor. I wish she taught all Soci classes.
Best teacher I've ever had. She's really nice and very inspiring. She loves what she does and loves when people participate. Her lectures are long but she makes them fun. The tests are not hard, so the study guide and you'll be good. Definately recommend her.
Dropped this class after one week!! So boring and goes off topic too much, if you plan to take her, take her over summer and not have to drag the whole semester!!!!

Easiest class ever! There is barely homework. Only 1 essay which she gives over a month to do. You can use notes on the exam. Honestly, you don't have to pay attention or take notes. Just complete the study guide (notes for the test) and you will get an A. Easiest A I have gotten and I do not regret taking her class
Hardly any homework. One research paper and 4 test overall . Allowed to use notes on the test. Funny talks a lot and has an accent it's not that bad.

She's a nice professor, don't let these other comments scare you into taking her. I took her for Soc B1 & Soc B2 simultaneously and didn't stress one bit. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't have your phone out in class. Show up to class, do your homework, participate in class, do the study guides, and finish your paper - you will get an A.
Mrs. Karimeh is a very nice professor, but she doesn't tell you your grade in class. Easy class, show up, take notes, study for test! Gives test handouts as study guides! Strong cellphone, no talking while she lectures, no food, no textbook open during class time policy... other than that. do the research paper & turn it in, easy class. follow instructions. She has an accent but very nice and interesting, smart Professor.

I took Soc B1 and Soc B2 and she is a nice professor but she is confusing and she is not clear. She gets mad when the class tries to correct her. This class is so easy but i wouldn't take this class with this professor.
This professor is easy. She does lectures and has assignments. I had her for human services and there was a lot of group time. And had her for B1 she was easy in that class. She does at times talk more then lecture but overall do your work and and show up and you will get a good grade.
This teacher is awful. You can talk to her for an hour and you will lstill be confused because she has no idea what she's talking about. She talks more about herself than class material and can drive an A student to tears. Disrespectful and shouts often. Too bad she's the only professor for this class.
I thought she was an amazing teacher, she's very strict on phone use or talking. However I learned a lot from her class and if you asked her for help she was super nice and always helpful. I would definitely take her again.
Easy A if you do the work. She does get off topic a little and talks alot but she's a great teacher. She also lets you makeup tests and homework.

She is funny but the class is smooth. everything we do in class is straight off the syllubus so theres no surprises on whats due although some dates may be changed/extended. class is overall easy. as long as you do the work, you will get full points. makeups can also be done

I was completely lost for the first month because we dont do any homework we just take notes And then she handed us a study guide to fill out for our test and I was very scared because I rarely paid attention but we got to use the study guide on the test and everything on the study guide is right there on the test in order. Shes very easy

took her for SOC B1 overall super easy class. lets you use study guide on all three exams including the final. a few assignments here & there & one 5 page research paper due at the end of the semester in which she lets you choose the topic as long as it is related to sociology. strict no cell phone policy & will call you out for it & can be rude.

I took her SOCIB1 class for my fall semester and I guess shes okay. Not the best professor but if youre looking to just pass and not learn take her. I was hoping for an A but she gave me a B just because I was an inch off of a cover paper for the 10 page paper we had to do. Believe me if you follow her format she wont read it. Tests are easy.
I had Professor Amin in the spring of 2018 , shes a very easy lad back professor. Shes an easy A there is a 10 page research paper but as long as you have it in the format she wants it she WILL NOT READ IT!!! there is 4 tests throughout the whole semester but she lets use the study guide in every exam. The study guide is literally the exam!
Easy A for sure, but be prepared to be annoyed out of your mind by her incessant yelling about people talking... when doing assigned group work.
Her class was very easy, a few exams and she gives you clear study guides beforehand and one research paper along with group assignments pretty often for participation credit. I just didn't enjoy her very much she was late to class a lot and took up a ton of class time telling people to stay off their phones.
she is an easy A, her tests are literally the study guide and you can use the study guide on the test. she is very nosy, she wants to be of every conversion going on in class. she will yell at you if you even peak at your phone. Attendance does matter but really you can not show up and have some sign you in and she won't even notice.
She isn't the best, she is nice sometimes. She will yell a lot. Even though it she says you wont need textbook, you will need it. Her test are extremely easy and she has a 7 page paper which is also easy.
I think she is a very nice lady. I took her once and taking her again for B2. It is a free A, no book required (as she tells you what to prepare on).
honestly, most boring class i have taken in my life. You are litterally fighting your sleep her lectures are super pointless because she gets off topic and NEVER ACCEPTS LATE WORK. Grades very late and your not allowed to use your phone at all but easy A if you can survive this toture.
Mrs. Karimeh is HILARIOUS! I loved her sense of humor! Do what she says and you'll pass the class with an A. She knows students have a life outside of class. Love her!

Not alot of work given. Only 4 exams a semester . Hardly any homework . She sometimes gets rude with students if their attention is not on her . I did everything and got 100% on almost everything but still managed to get a B , but it was most likely due to missing 3x
If you are looking for an easy A, then you will love this class. She is VERY rude and super strict about not seeing your phone even if you're not using it. She also gets mad if your backpack isn't under your feet.... she always rambles off topic and doesn't teach you anything.
Super easy, just do all your work and youll get an A trust me lol. Shes a cool teacher, only thing is she doesnt allow phones at all and can be a lil rude sometimes.
She is chill she can be mean sometimes when students are talking . She gives a PowerPoint every class you have and not gonna lie its really boring you have to take notices to study them for quizzes. You have to make groups and do homework . You do need your books to do class work.

Very rude, but blunt. This also comes in handy because her work is just as blunt and straight forward. Extremely easy class very simple to pass, just don't miss any assignments. One assignment per week.
Assignments are easy and she is not a tough grader, but an awful communicator and is rude when communicating. Instructions aren't very clear and detailed, but it's very simple to get full credit. Wouldn't recommend if you need detailed instructions, guidance and/or reassurance, but if you are an independent learner, this is the right class.
SUPER EASY. Gave us the wrong edition of book and got mad at us. Turned out not be a big deal because the right sections can be found in the table of contents. Very rude and lots of typos throughout Canvas
Rude. Cant take the time to spell correctly let alone give clear instructions. When you ask for clarification she will tell you to go read it No, your directions are a mess thats why Im asking in the first place. I do not lack due diligence. You lack clear communication skills. Ironic that shes an HR professor but doesnt know how to help.
Summary: Please don't take this class. Find another teacher �� Her grading was questionable. Her powerpoints and slides were worse than her grammar. I had to teach everything to myself; I learned everything off of crash course youtube videos. Her comments on my discussion posts made 0 sense. I hope she reads this and changes her ways.
I wish I would have read this first. Professor Amin is very passive-aggressive, unclear, and disorganized. With that being said, her standards feel very low and I have aced the class. It wasn't worth it to me. I feel like I taught myself everything, did not get feedback or any structure, and would have preferred someone else
Professor is Awesome she goes up and beyond to make sure each student has a thorough knowledge and in depth understanding. I would take the class again for fun as she presents each topic with fact based terminology and subject matter that is needed in latter studies- thanks professor I now attend university of San Diego!

Easy A!! All assignments were done in class and are group work. The professor provides study guides that are exactly the same on exams, and gives lots of extra credit if you attend. Textbook is necessary and there's a free version online. Would recommend her class if you're taking this subject as a pre-req!!!
Class was a nothing burger with a nothing sauce. I could have not even read the book and passed with flying colors. She had, empty assignments, barely any clear communication because of her horrendous english, DO NOT take her as a sociology professor, would not recommend.
She was definitely a good professor I had in a while. Her study guides related to the exams we took and was pretty funny during lectures. She does give homework and extra credit opportunities and appreciates hard work.
Please do not take this class with this professor, I spent days without sleep worried about my grade. I know the professor's other language and she tells me (you just read the book and answer the questions). If you have to take this class know that the Exams are essays, each question must be answered on one page so 3 questions = 3 pages.
I'm taking her 6-week summer class. The workload is very light, but she is NOT an easy grader like people have said. I followed her instructions for all her assignments, and sometimes I'd get a 100% while in other assignments, she would dock me off points for "not following instructions." I'm currently worried about my grade, DO NOT TAKE HER!!!
Update on my last review: Ended up getting an A in the class thankfully. I had to write way more (300+ words), and I started getting A's on the assignments. Still would not recommend her because her grading is unpredictable, and she is very rude too. Her grammar and spelling is horrendous.

Her work is easy she assigns an assignment ever week. But her grading is unpredictable I have to write a page and a half to get full credit, she does not answer emails when she does she does not make sense or answer your question. I'd be happy to even pass with a C but I have no clue because she takes forever to grade.
No clear rubrics or guidelines for assignments, so most of the time work felt like a guessing game of what she wanted. Doesn't respond to emails often and when she does, grammar and spelling are very poor.
I feel like I learned nothing. Her grading made 0 sense, and it didn't matter if I followed the directions perfectly, she would deduct points and tell me to "read the directions." Not to mention her English skills are not the best, so if clear instructions and help on certain things is what you are seeking, I do NOT recommend taking this course.
I took her online class and I never knew what to expect from her when she would grade. She does not know what she even wants from us and is never clear on directions. I would not recommend!!!
