Dr. No lectured over virtually the same things as in Bio 336 although 336 was much more informative. She's sometimes wrong and blames it on her textbook. She tests on subject matter that never was taught. Labs are too long, never work, and you don't learn anything. Word to the wise, don't attend lecture, read the slides and review bio 336 notes.

*A* advice: actually study what you have been given. Work hard to nail down what you do know could be on the exam, it can be enough to buffer out the surprises. Make sure you actually understand the concepts, not just have them memorized. Utilize outside resources where needed to get better explanations and apply it to your notes. You can do this.

3 exams, 1 cumulative final. Super tough exams. She asks very specific questions about her lecture and expects us to be experts in the subject. Although tests are multiple choice she makes sure to make it as deceiving as possible. I recommend taking this class in a community college. You will learn a lot but it will feel pointless.

This semester was a headache. Exams are extremely tricky. She will test u on small details from lecture. Labs rarely had clear instructions, any mistakes on labs resulted in deducted points. She is knowledgeable in physiology yet lacks teaching & quizzing skill. 5 lab quizzes. She will give u tons to study & test u with the most bizarre questions.

If you have pre-existing mental illness, do not take the lab with her. You can't avoid her for the lecture portion but don't take lab with her-she will belittle you, refuse to help, and made people in my lab cry by implying they are stupid. Study the lectures and you should do ok, as long as you do well in lab (which you wont with her)

Would take again

The multiple choice exams are the hardest multiple choice exams I've taken thus far. I will say the exam questions are fair but is not presented in an ideal format. She truly cares about her students and if you have her as your lab TA she will be very helpful. She is approachable and she is a great professor to build a relationship with.

Study in advance for the tests and you will get an A. I rewatched each lecture 2-3 times and I made sure I clearly understood the material. The class is scary at first but once you build a study habit it becomes very doable.
