Great professor. In this class there is a lot of students teaching students because the concepts are pretty simple. She is knowledgable and does a good job teaching. She gives many opportunities for extra credit, but showing up for class is part of your grade, so try not to miss class. You'll want to have the textbook.

I think we should of used the book more often considering how much we spent on it.

I really enjoyed the class and thought she covered the material really well. The text book really was my only problem, we didn't really use it towards the end of the semester. She was still teaching out of it but we didn't have to go on and do quizzes as much as we did towards the first part of the semester.

Gives multiple Extra Credit opportunities. Expect to read the chapters each week as in class assignments and the weekly homework is based off of the reading. Attendance is mandatory and a good percentage of the class, but the professor makes it interesting to be there.

This was an online course and although there are many fears that students have about taking an online class Karisa has changed those fears. She's great at communicating with her students, even sending out reminders about specific assignments.

I enjoyed how she would engaged the entire class on what we were discussing. This gave us a chance to ask questions or listen to what others thought. I was able to ask questions and the professor answered them with the utmost respect and made sure she answered the questions we had.

There was a lot of reading, but the activities that went along with were short, sweet, and enlightening. The activities were fun and interactive, which made it easy to learn and retain. I also liked that there was no final exam and all reading materials were provided.

Took it online in the summer and passed super easy. 2-4 assignments each week, and they are usually discussion posts or comments. never more than a 1 page paper, other than the final that was 2-3 pages. Super easy class, and the professor was really nice and easy to work with.

She takes time to make sure that you understand what she's going to be talking about and what she expects you to learn and read. There are kahoot quizes to help understand what was covered as well. She gave good feedback when she'd give the homework back. Made sure the students were comfortable and didn't feel left out. Used modern examples for us.

When I struggled with my grade she was really helpful with letting me know what I needed to do to pass. She was a really fun teacher. she had the right amount of lectures, videos, and activities.

Definitely show up to class. 2 reasons for doing so: 1. This class in particular is heavily dependent on in-class assignments that you will need to pass. 2. She is not afraid to give extra credit it you work for it. As far as lectures go she's pretty interactive, but every now and then a bit dry. Still though, not a bad choice by any means.

There is quite a few assignments, but they are fairly easy. Tests/quizzes are open book! Professor Peacock is very friendly and likes to have group discussions. I will say, I found it hard to reach her seeing as her email isnt in the syllabus. Sometimes it seemed she wasnt prepared and relied heavily on the textbook instead of her own knowledge.

Professor Peacock is amazing! I have now taken 2 communication classes from her! She is a very reasonable and kind person, doesn't assign too much homework, and teaches the material in a way that is easy to understand. Go to class and you will get an A. I would 100% take again!

I enjoyed having Prof. Peacock as my interpersonal communication professor. She made sure that everyone understood the concepts before moving on.

This Professor takes attendance everyday and it goes towards your grade, however her assignments are very easy. This class doesn't have a huge work load which is nice and the midterm and final is open note!

This class was really easy as long as you stayed on top of the reading. I didnt love the chapter assignments but luckily they werent graded too harshly.

Lets self-driven learners do their own learning, while still helping those with less motivation or knowledge to make their way through as well. Most importantly, she is open to criticism and is very reasonable in her grading and teaching practices.

I loved this class and the experience with this professor! We had three speech assignments done throughout the semester. Two were in person before the class, and the other was virtual. This professor was very understanding, which made communication easy. Graded attendance was random; she did excuse absences if emailed beforehand.

Took this class freshman year after two weeks the semester had begun and I was able to catch up perfectly. She's a good professor and the presentation projects made it a fun class.

Overall I really liked Professor Peacock I had her for COM 1010, I would defiantly take another class from her. She was always super sweet and caring and she always tried to make her self available for questions after class or during her office hours. This professor is pretty easy, but that does not mean you don't have to go to class. If you go to class and participate, you will get a good grade.

She is super sweet!! Class overall is pretty easy. Attendance is key. I didn't know attendance was graded til' it ws too late so make sure you go to class. Overall not too hard of a class. Grading on speeches is subjective.

She is an amazing professor. I joined the class a few weeks later and she was willing to work with me and helped me catch up fast. Attendance is mandatory for presentations and she'll do it a few other times if people aren't showing up.

Her lectures were interesting and kept my attention. Very nice and understanding professor, you can tell she cares about her students. The class overall is pretty easy, you do have to write 2 speeches and present them in class but she isn't a harsh grader and as long as she can see that you tried, you'll get a good grade.

Karisa was a great professor and a very kind person. She graded very fairly on our speeches and made a good environment for the class. She focused on getting us to know our neighbor, which made it easier to do our speeches in front of them. She gave us lots of resources to do our speeches the best we could!

Karisa is an amazing teacher and very kind. She is very understanding and wants everyone to do great in her class. If you try you will do good. She was a very fair grader on the speeches and was always open to talk if you had concerns.

She really cares about us getting to know each other which is fun - we all learned each others' names in the first week. Overall, it's comm1010 so not that exciting haha. But she lets you choose every speech topic which makes it way more fun. It's an easy class! Honestly the biggest bummer is the text book is expensive. I would 100% recommend her!

She's awesome to be be around and everyone feels welcome. Lot's of quizzes, but if you go to class you should do just fine. There are presentations to be aware of.

Professor Karisa is so nice, I respect her so much. I love the way she teaches and how patient she is with all students. If you're asking why did I get that grade if I rated her class "easy"? It's simple, I didn't read the instructions carefully. Don't do what I did. Read and follow instructions and you'll have the grade you deserve.

Karisa Peacock made her 1st session online summer course fun and easy. I thought this class was going to be super difficult especially since it was a 6-7 week course but it was most def one of the easiest classes i've taken. Would def recommend taking her course!

Professor Peacock is AWESOME! I took her class online as a block class and although there was a lot of work to be done she was super helpful. She is always there to help as well as she gives you amazing feedback. I would definitely recommend taking her for Communications 1010!

I took this class online and through the summer and it was very understandable and easy to stay caught up on! There a lot of assignment but there fairly easy to complete. As long as you stay on top of your work you should have no problem getting a good grade from her.

Pros of taking this section of COMM 1010: Extra credit opportunities, final is a week before the end of term, and the class is fairly easy Cons of taking this section: The online textbook is a nightmare to understand, multiple extra credit opportunities are on campus only, so if you're a remote student-don't count on the boost to your grade

Loved Peacock! There were only two speeches we had to give and she graded fairly. There are lots of chances for extra credit too. She listened to the things that we struggled with and changed some things in the course accordingly.

Professor Peacock is an amazing professor, I had a D- in her class from not attending class and struggled to understand material due to not being in class. I went to her office hours and she helped me understand material better and what I could do to raise my grade. I finished her class with a C+ and that was a big improvement from where I was.

This was a good professor.I think that it was hard for her to keep our class engaged, but she tried her best. I struggle with public speaking and I think it was good that I got to go up and speak and learn. Some of the class was confusing, but It wasn't a hard class.
