The profesor jokes around more than he teaches. He is like the Jim Carey type. Never gives any curves. The first day of class he said 60% of you will fail. He admits he is not a good profesor.Likes to go off subject even when he is talking about something important.
Tough Teacher, absolutely does not care about student's grades. Has a habit of going off topic. Loves picking on people. If you are registered for this class dop it while you can!!!!
Great teacher, knows how to relate material. Adds humor in the class so that you wont die of boredom.
All he cares about is playing golf. Does his office hours according to his schedule, if he is not teaching that day, he won't be willing to have an office hour that day. He Likes to make fun of rap stars. Overall he is the worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life!!!!!!
I think he is an awesome teacher. He is VERY smart, but he isn't full of himself. He's honest and isn't strict. He can relate to college students and doesn't treat the class like kids. We are expected to do a lot on our own, but what else do you expect? We're in college. Not boring!
wow, this is a rough class to take erruybody laughs though. don't ask him a ? because he doesn't really answer it. he is a joker though you will laugh throughout the semester.
This guy is a fun professor, tells lots of funny jokes and stories. Tests are hard but they are open book and note. Homework is assigned and graded weekly. Participation grade is free, he only picked on people the first couple of classes but it wasnt bad. Overall a fun but difficult class.
Very funny guy, will make you laught the entire semester. As far as learning goes he doesn't seem to know all of the information but the tests are open book and open note and he is a nice guy.

He is a good teacher and he is funny as hell! H.W. 25%-easy if u do it (1hr-2 once/week) 10%participation-show up lol, 25%1st exam-open book 25%final-open book im getting a 3.5 going into the final, this guy is easy-going and his help is good after class or before hes willing to help Take IT
Overall, he's a good professor. He's a funny guy and he jokes around a lot, probably because the material is so boring. There is an outline for each lecture available outline so taking notes is no problem. The homework and tests are pretty easy and straightforward. I would definetly take him again.
Easiest teacher ever. he helps you out. midterm and final are open note and open book. homework is just like the notes. cracks a lot of jokes to move the class along. definitley taking 241 with him.
Arrogant. Not helpful. Doesn't understand the material so he can't explain it.
I'll admit I didn't do so hot on the midterm, but I was still planning to take him for 241 next semester. A little upset that he isn't teaching 241 all of a sudden! He's a cool guy, jokes around a lot, which i think is necessary to keep people awake. Erybody can learn something in his class.
This class wasn't as bad as I heard stats was, and he makes it actually fun because he is so funny!
Karl is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. Material is a little hard, but he helps you to understand it! I would recommend him to anyone who needs to take the class. Homework is easy, midterm was somewhat challenging (got a 3.3). GO TO CLASS AND YOU WILL PASS! TAKE HIM!
He is hypocritical and false modest. He tries to cover his ignorance to the subject matters with jokes and unrelated stories.
Hard Subject but a good prof. He gives lecture notes and the exams are open book. Very Funny prof., and really easy HW. Best Stats Prof. at Oakland PERIOD!
Great Teacher!
Ignorant and arrogant
He is very good Prof. HE is very funny and when he is teaching he will tell you some stupid jokes but i think that good some everyone will be awake in class. I wold take him for my qmm 241 but he is not teaching this class. that's sad. Midterm and final open book & open notes. Homework is easy.
Avoid this guy. Not helpful and doesn't know what he is doing.
Don't listen to other people he is one of the best qmm teacher ever. i had him last semester i wish i could take him for my qmm 241 my other qmm teacher is horrible. Open book test and do homework so you will be ok in his exam and he curves the your grade and just go to class
One of the best profs at OU. He makes the lectures fun so you pay attnention and follow along thats hard with a boring subject like stats. Grades fairly and is available for help outside class. I hated stats when I took it before but Karl actually made it my favorite class last semester.
Not a very demanding class. Weekly homework plus a midterm and final. This class would blow if I didn't have Majeske. He's funny and simplifies the complicated material.
Majeske is the best Stats teacher at Oakland. His lecture notes are printable and are outlined perfectly. He tells corny jokes but Stats is boring anyways. All tests are open notes open book. Easily got a 3.4 in the class. Taking 241 with Tracy and practically failing! Majeske's teaching style best!
Ignorant and condescending. Very rude.
Very stupid. Likes to mislead students. Always taunts students will fail. Seems very easy the first 2 weeks of class. Watch out he gets really tough after the first midterm. Makes fun of people in class randomly. Avoid him at all costs!!
Loooooooser
This material is challenging because I am mathmatically challenged. I do recommend his class. He has a good teaching style and has a good sense of humor. He is clear, concise, and willing to answer questions. Like any class you need to apply yourself.
he acts like he doesn't know what he's doing and creates a lazy atmosphere. it's easy to take the class lightly because there's only a midterm and a final, but stay on top of the material or you'll be screwed.
OKAY. For all the haters who came on here and posted crap... Majeske is seriously a really good Stats teacher. He is the only Stats teacher at OU who actually outlines the material and explains and teaches it. Yes, the class itself is challenging... but do yourself a favor and take Majeske.
Great teacher. When I went to class, it was easy to pay attention. If I didn't go, the lecture notes posted on the web led me through the book. You must go if you are math challenged. Take this class with Karl. Period. Weekly homework, open book/note exams (study anyway).
Fantastic! Exceptionally clear outline notes, used these for 90% of my studying (still need book). Open book/note exams. Explains stuff well, but picks up pace and difficulty after midterm. Random jokes throughout lecture break up the monotony. Highly recommended!
He makes statistics fun because of his personality. Always cracking jokes. Explains all material and leaves no unanswered questions. Do your homework and you will do just fine. All exams are open note, so no need to memorize all those crazy formulas. I highly recommend him for any statistics class.
Very rude and stupid.
People either love or hate Majeske. He cracks a lot of jokes, some of which are actually funny, but it ends up wasting a lot of time (always held til the last minute). He has an easygoing demeanor in front of class, but is a bit of a jerk in private. Take him because he'll keep you awake through very boring material.
Great teacher, if you didnt do good in his class it has nothing to do with his teaching methods. You just have a problem in this area of study. Take the guy....you won't regret it.
Karl has to be one of the best professors I have had in college. His lectures deliver all the information and his jokes and sense of humor keep the class entertaining. Open notes for his exams and he supplies lecture notes for every lecture that he follows to the T. He was VERY helpful when I went to see him during office hours.
take him. he is the best professor at OU. He will say some stupid joke but that's just class going. Test are not that easy or hard. It's open notes but you just need to study his notes and review and you will understand everything. After you done with class you will remember. I had him last fall and i took him again for 241 this fall
HIs class is a total joke. Goes off topic all the time. he will make fun of random people every day. And will make life miserable. Avoid him at all cost.
take him. best professor at OU. very clear about exam and everything from lecture and reviews.
Majeske is one of those professor's whose teaching style you have to get used to. I had him for 240 and struggled the whole semester, then took him for 241 and got almost a 4.0. Stats is not an easy or "fun" class, but Majeske does try to make it interesting. Go to class and pay attention during lecture and you'll do fine.
This guy is the man. Very funny and interesting. Notes are very helpful for every lecture. Material is boring. i recommend you read the book also.
Great man, difficult class. Fair grader and makes class fun.
hes Don Notts with a mullet. Lectures are descent but he rarely finishes them, tries to act funny, but hes actually an ass if you talk to him outside class. When compared to other OU math teachers hes one of the best though. Sad isnt it?!
All of his exams are open book/note. His class is pretty easy, all the notes are online, I would for sure take him again, he's a little quirky but he's also funny.
The material was tough but Majeske made it tolerable. He gives notes online and follows them closely in his lectures. He's a good teacher and he's hilarious. Tests are open book/notes. Work in groups on the HW. The class still isn't easy but you should be able to do alright. Recommended.
Best professor ever! This is the sole class I actually looked forward to attending; he usually made class enjoyable. I recommend him to all. He made the material understandable, posted advance notes, class work prepared me for the exams, and he was such a helpful prof. Organized and logical. If nothing else, he's funny and really knows his stuff.

he is not for me. you will be compeletly lost during his lectures and i mean it. he can be wierd funny sometime. he moves his slides so fast (very fast) that you only can write few words from it or nothing at all. i wouldn't recommend him.
He is funny and a nice guy. Doesn't use the book much. Very boring material but if you have to take the class I would take it with him.
Makes stats as fun as it can be.
He is pretty funny . . . well at least he tries to be. The test/quizzes are all open book/notes. It wasn't that bad of a class as I expected.
He tries to be funny, Is not helpful, tests are not what is covered in class therefore the open notes don't help. I wouldn't take him
You love him or hate him. Has a dry sense of humor, but puts some funny stuff out sometimes... tries to keep your attention with jokes. Posts notes online which allow you to pay more attention rather than copying lots of notes. Material on tests is exactly what is taught in lecture, but don't be fooled by open book/notes quizzes and exams.
He is pretty funny, jokes are very entertaining. Unfortunately if you need help in this subject it is very difficult to get it. If you do all the work and use his notes you will get a very good grade. It depends on how well you can teach yourself.
Great instructor and very funny. Goes at steady pace. Clear and organized lectures, don't miss his lectures, very useful problem solving demos. U also need to read the text in detail to really understand the concepts (expected at grad level), u cannot be spoonfed everything.Overall class was very useful and entertaining !
Greatest teacher ever. Very repetitive while teaching, sticks in you head for the quizzes. Don't need the book unless you need extra help. but he will help you on his office hours until you understand. he is very good at explaining things to people of different learning levels. wont let you down. easy grader. cant skip class though.
Very funny and easy. Tests go right from the lecture. Dont get up and go to the bathroom while he is talking or else he will tell you to grab him a beer while you are out. Tells funny jokes in class
Had him for both sections, awesome professor, funny, entertaining. I don't like coming to classes but I never missed one of his. Helpful, spends a lot of time out of class preparing, and it really shows. Do the homework correctly and you'll be just fine!
Lectures are simple and easy to follow. Assignment and quizes are open book and easy. Final Exam is a bit tedious as it covers all Lectures but can do very well if you go prepared.
Everything you want from a business professor. Made the course enjoyable with a funny sense of humor. Course material well prepared online, with lectures notes and practice tests made available. Only warning..DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. Made a normally difficult course easy for those who put in the effort.
Good instructor, must attend class, available during office hours, funny guy makes class enjoyable.
Great Professor, he really cares about his students and teaches the material so that you understand. He is very patient and willing to explain the material until it is crystal clear. Great representative of OU, wish all my professors were as good as him!
I took this class because it is required and the night class w/Majeske was the only one available. He is funny, but he speeds through lectures too fast. He joked about how he had to take the class 3 times. The book did not help & the notes helped with homework, but not with the midterm exam. I had to drop, for fear of an F. Take this w/a dif. prof.
His lectures are clear and he goes over plenty of examples. Be sure to do the HW and ask questions when you dont understand something. Tests are open book, open note but you still need to study to do well. He provides plenty of review material and there are no surprises. Would def recommend him from QMM.
Great teacher. You must attend class, and must do homework (or you will fail). Exam's are tough, but he will curve. I didn't buy the book and got a 3.7, definitely take him over other QMM teachers.
His teaching style is an acquired taste. Uses his own notes, the book is pretty useless unless you want to do extra problems for practice. HW is mandatory or you'll fail. He's extremely helpful. Idk why people are saying open note tests, our class wasn't. Tough class, but he's willing to help you.
Great teacher, gives lots a material to look over before tests, homework is a must. no need for the book uses all his own notes, you print out beforehand. the tests are open notes and book, so you don't have to worry about memorizing all the formulas. he has a great sense of humor, will tell jokes that have to do with the class. 47
Stats is a tough class no matter what teacher you have. But he's helpful & gives enough examples. Tests & final exam is open notes. HW is a must do. Book is useless, he has his own notes. He is VERY generous with curving the final grades. VERY. All in all, he's the best math teacher i've ever had in college. I highly recommend him.
Not only a awesome professor, but a great person. He understands that stats is a difficult subject and he makes it as easy as possibly to learn. Book not required, but HW is a must. Very generous with his curve. Highly recommended.
Very great professor. I wouldn't buy the book unless you want to do extra problems. Gives practice quizzes that are extremely similar to tests. Well prepared and funny too. Do the homework and practice quizzes and you won't be surprised on tests. Very great professor.
Great professor. He made the class easy to understand. Homework can be time consuming and you get credit for showing up to class. He will answer your questions. Infuses humor into the class and gives a lot of real life examples.
One of the nicest people you will ever meet. The class can be difficult but he is one of the best QMM teachers at Oakland. You wont need the book at all. He gives you handouts instead. You can use notes on the quizzes/exams but make sure you study or you will run out of time. He lightens the mood during class with jokes and ou usually get out early
Professor Majeske really cares about helping his students do well! Just make sure to bring your sense of humor to class.
Great professor! He provides you with lecture notes which are very helpful for when you take the exams. Very fair with his grading and he is a funny guy which helps make an otherwise boring subject interesting. If you do not attend class it will be very difficult to pass this class! The book is not really necessary either..
Mr. Majeske was a great instructor. Stats is not an easy class by any means but he did everything he could to make sure it was understandable. Lecture notes were handed out, book was not used much, and the final was only on the lectures after the mid term. Which made it easier to study. Attend class otherwise it will be hard to pass.
I did not find Majeske to be overly easy by any stretch. Lectures were terribly boring. You print out your own skeleton notes and fill them in as he does on the projector, but you're writing so fast it's hard to absorb the material. Also, we did in fact use the book on a weekly basis. Mandatory homework assignments came from the text book.
What a great teacher!! Always willing to help you and you can scan your hw online if you're unable to make it to class. Makes stats about as understandable as it will ever get. You also get to use a cheat sheet on every test. Study and do your homework, you'll do just fine!
Explains the subject matter very clearly and is always accessible if you have questions or need help. I really enjoyed that he incorporates his vast professional experiences into lectures. He has a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor which I appreciated. I'm two years into the MBA program and he's by far my favorite professor I've taken so far.
Try to do your best on all quizzes because the final is hard and long (40 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours, open book, cumulative). Be aware of the 4th quiz, it's ridiculously long (most students did worst on this quiz than the others). However, you can easily get an A. Good luck!
Great professor for QMM 240. His lectures focus more on actually working out example problems and we were given access to printouts that we filled with notes. As a slowish writer, I found this extremely helpful. I ranked everything as a 5. However, the rankings are meant to reflect the professor only, not QMM 240. Tests are easy if you prepare.
Wow its tough for me to say this about any prof but he is definitely THE best professor at Oakland University. He knows that stats isnt the most fun class to take but he for sure makes it very enjoyable to be in his class. Makes students laugh and want to be there. I am not a great exam taker but i had a 3.4 until the final. Take Majeske!
Karl does his best to make the lectures interesting, considering the subject. He's a good teacher and cares about his students.
Hands down the best prof at OU. He is a real gem in a sea of indifference.
Anyone who says this class is hard is just flat out lazy or dumb. This guy is awesome, he has the best sense of humor. He said "I don't know why professors try and make exams super hard, I want you guys to pass." He's the best professor I've had at OU and is a true gem in a lackluster Math department. He's an MVP professor.
Professors Majeske is an amazing person truthfully. I am in my senior year at OU and have had multiple professors, I can say he is the best professor I've ever had. One of the funniest person I have ever met, and possibly one of the smartest. Exams are just like the notes! Study a bit, go to class, do the HW, you'll get a good grade. Amazing!
This class was hands down my favorite class that I had this semester! He is a very entertaining professor and that makes is class a real joy! If you attend and complete all the homework, you can easily pass this class!
Just wait for the final. I had nearly a 4.0 going into the final, ended with an 3.0. I cannot believe he didn't curve the final.
Professor Majeske is one of my favorite professors I've ever had. He is so funny and makes what would be a boring class actually enjoyable and fun. Quizzes are just like the lectures. Go to class, do the homework, and you should do just fine. He is a very fair grader. I imagine he is one of the best math/stats professors at OU. Take him!
Great professor. He explains the material well. I had a terrible prof for QMM 240 and I did fine in this class. His only downside is that he makes a lot (and I mean A LOT) of dad jokes... so many dad jokes, but a great professor!
TAKE HIM PLEASE! My favorite professor in all of OU honestly. Gives you notes to fill out and always makes sure everyone has everything written down before moving on. Willing to help before and after class. Exams (he calls quizzes) are exactly like the homework and class examples. You get to use notes on the exam too.
He is such an awesome guy! He's hilarious and makes a boring subject some what interesting. There is weekly h.w and 4 exams, including the final. He has partial notes on moodle but you work through it in class. He does a lot of examples which helps alot and gives you a page of notes for all exams. I highly recommend him!
Professor Majeske is my favorite professor that I have had at Oakland. Although his lectures can be a bit boring, he livens up the class and is hilarious. He also posts the notes online and allows you to create cheat sheets for each exam. On the final, he lets you use anything you want short of electronics of course. Just listen and you'll do well.
This class was part of my master's program but not my area of interest. The professor worked to help students learn the material. His sense of humor made the material less dry.
Professor Majeske is by far the BEST professor I have taken at OU!!!! He provides lecture notes for every class that you fill in as he goes along. Quizzes are very similar to the homework and provides solutions after the due date. Stats can be boring but he livens up the lectures with his great sense of humor. Whatever you do, take him for sure!!!
Without a doubt, take Prof. Majeske for QMM!! His sense of humor really helps make the class enjoyable! Quizzes are straight-forward and are very similar to the lecture notes and homework. You can have a cheat for them as well. Final is open book/note as well. Hope I can take Majeske for another class in the future. Best professor I've had at OU!!!
I loved Majeske. Lectures are clear and to the point. Each quiz you get a cheat sheet and the final is open book open note. If you skip class it can be difficult to catch up. I appreciated his awkwardness and dad jokes. Each chapter builds off each other so don't fall behind. If you go to class and pay attention, you'll pass. Definitely recommend.
The class isn't too easy but if you show up to class, keep up with homework and prepare for exams (cheat sheets allowed) the class is an easy A. He really cares about his students, he does notice if you don't show up. The lectures are kinda hard to follow since its so boring, but he lightens up the mood with humor. Hands down favorite professor.
Karl is the best professor I've ever had. His lectures are super easy to follow along with and he's hilarious. You get to create a cheat sheet for each exam and you get to use all of your notes and homework for the last exam, which is your final. He is very personable and caring, I love this man.
Karl is the best QMM prof to take at OU. He makes it nearly impossible to fail. Homework is worth half of your overall grade and you can almost always find the answers online. The quizzes allow one page, front and back, of notes. Copy and paste the lecture notes onto that cheat sheet and you'll do well. He's very funny and wants everyone to pass!
My only complaint about him is that he is not willing to be helpful. He does not like to answer questions about homework. He also likes to make condescending jokes at you if he can tell you are upset. Hes a funny guy and it makes the class passable but he is not super helpful outside of any work hes already put in. No extra credit.
His lectures are easy to listen to and he makes statistics easier to understand. He can come off as a little rude if you talk to him in person, though when he's teaching he has a sense of humor, which is odd. Answers student questions very well.
Statistics is an inherently boring subject and he somehow makes it palatable. He drops little jokes in class and interacts with the classroom at times. Homework assigned after every lecture but only a few problems. Exams are incredibly straight forward barring you do the review. He's just an overall good dude. Willing to help during office hours.
Tries to make class fun by cracking jokes that aren't funny, gets off topic from lectures and wastes time.
He's very sarcastic, makes a lot of jokes which can be funny or annoying. You print out notes and you fill in the answers. Four quizzes and one final. You can use a cheat sheet for the quizzes and final. If you ask a question in class, be prepared to get no feedback. Doesn't offer any extra credit and only curves one time.
Amazing Professor!! He really cares for his students if you show him you really want to pass and put in the work. The class consisted of 5 quizzes and a final with a few homework questions after class. DO THE REVIEWS!! They are very similar to the quizzes and attend his office hours if you ever need help.
Such a great professor, stats is not an easy class but he made it interesting and was funny during lectures. Willing to help when needed, genuinely seems to care about each students success
Great prof, exams are straight forward and are reflected in the reviews he gives. Makes some funny jokes that land and some don't, makes for a more entertaining class. Overall, 4 exams @ 10% each and final is 27.5%, so test well.
Prof. Majeske is one of my favorite professors at OU. Statistics can be really dry and boring and he sprinkles in jokes about himself or the world. Show up and you will do well. Do the homework he assigns in Mindtap. Be respectful. Laugh at his jokes. He really liked our class because we had some kids who would continue his jokes/conversations.
Absolutely AWFUL for an online class prof. As a senior, I have never dealt with a worse prof in my whole time at OU. The online course is extremely convoluted, relies solely on Cengage, and does laughably minimal lecturing. If he does respond to emails he offers no help and won't work with you. You will be teaching stats to yourself essentially.
Your typical lazy, condescending (probably) tenure protected professor. Dont take his online course, extremely confusing to follow and it always seems like hes to busy to help. Grades assignments obscurely, doesnt lecture, relies solely on mindtap, discourages emails (unacceptable in a online class), condescending when you ask for help. Avoid.
Professor Majeske was the best professor that I have had in my 4 years at OU. He is very funny and makes this class interesting and entertaining. If you go to class, ask questions and do your homework, the class is easy. The lecture notes and homework questions are very similar to quiz and exam questions. Definitely recommend Professor Majeske!
His class is doable but extremely hard because he doesn't lecture, or really teach. Doesn't provide the ability to review any submissions and is extremely vague with feedback. Almost a chore to get him to respond via email doesn't seem like he cares about his students. Maybe good in person, but terrible online. There are better stats Profs at OU.
Attendance matters, you need it to do assignments straight from lecture. Karl's great and very chill. His lectures are clear, organized, and to the point. Show up to class, do the homework, and you'll pass. The tests and quizzes are hard, but just try. If you do good on homework, you'll still pass if you don't do well on quizzes.
Probably the worst professor I have ever had at OU. Majeske is absolutely god awful. He cares more about his stories than if we understand the material. Quizzes are extremely tough and the set up of the class work is very non traditional. Just save yourself the pain, anxiety, and stress that this person has caused me and find some alternate route.
I have had Karl for both stats classes and he is overall pretty solid. His notes in class are the most important thing to pay attention to. Those examples are incredibly similar to what is on the quizzes not the online homework. Is a pretty tough grader but offered some good extra credit problems.
This might be the first professor I've had that makes class enjoyable. The lectures are the key to the homework and quizzes. Pay attention during the lectures and the examples and you'll do great. Overall, I'd recommend this professor for this course.
Has two ways of giving HW, one by the book and the other through examples. Both are different and how they want the answers and doing it, so just focus on the class HW for studying. Class is very disengaged and basically coping what he rights down for slides. Exams are hard and class average for two of the exams were 50 percent or below.
If you complain about his online work, you did not apply yourself. Notes are an easy A and you also get 3 tries to do the other homework assignment, another easy A. The homework can be tricky, but overall isn't terrible if you are understanding. He also posts the solutions at the end of the week, which is key to referencing during the final exam!
Karl was a very caring guy, understands that stats is a boring concept for most people, sprinkles in some humor into lectures. Quizzes and exams were very similar to what is taught in lecture, homework is kinda different to that but simple enough to do quickly. Overall would recommend. Really likes Bachelor in Paradise.
One of the best teachers I've had. There are 3 assignments to complete on weekly basis, but he opens those weeks ahead of time so you can work on them on your own time. He prepares you very well for the assignments . Highly recommend
After each class there is a MindTap assignment then at the end of each chapter there is a homework assignment. The quizzes are easy IF you know the notes and homework really well. If he lets the quizzes be open note, (like he did my class) you still need to study or else you will spend the whole quiz looking through the notes and run out of time.
The professor knows the lectures are boring, and will even get bored himself while teaching them, he likes to take a break from the notes sometimes to tell stories, he also is a big fan of the Bachelor and Survivor, so if you want to get him to like you don't hesitate to talk to him about those shows
Most of this class was done online, so there wasn't much interacting with Karl, however each time there was he was very helpful and caring about his criteria and lectures. Class is very workable with the work load and grading. I absolutely recommend taking this professor. Mention the bachelor
Take this professor. If you want to learn statistics and actually understand it, I 100% recommend this professor. He assigned a good amount of homework after the lectures that would help you further understand the material he went over. He genuinely cares about his students. This is probably the best professor I've had so far at OU.
My favorite professor I've had at OU, wish I could take him for all of my classes. Really lecture heavy but they're super straightforward and he likes to joke a lot during class which makes the lectures better. If you have an opportunity to take him I highly recommend.
Professor Majeske is an awesome teacher. He is straight forward with his lectures and he likes to make jokes which makes lectures less boring. There is cengage homework after each lecture and chapter hw. If you miss the deadline, he does not allow you to make it up. Exams are just like homework so make sure you understand them. Open note.
This guy is great, best professor I have had. His lectures are so clear and he's funny so it makes you want to go. You do still have to put some work in but the tests are just like the written homework and the cengage is super easy and lowkey helpful. He grades really fairly and is always accessible for outside help. Taking him again for Stats 2
Best professor I've had in a math related subject. Currently taking QMM 2410 with a different professor and holy cow I wish I signed up for his 2410 section. It's night and day. He clearly organizes his lectures and provides clear examples that are extremely helpful for studying. Plenty of assignments to practice but not unnecessarily overdone.
Had him for 2400 and now for 2410, if I could I would have him as my professor in every class. He is so organized and professional, well spoken but funny, genuinely one of the smartest professors I've ever had. Workload is perfect and helpful, exams are just like the chapter hw,this man does not want you to fail,he sets you up for success. Love him
I took 2400 with him and then 2410 with him and found myself actually really liking the guy. He sets you up for success. 2400 was all in class but 2410 was mainly online. I preferred the online one, but he's a funny guy in class. The homework assignments are consistent, you know exactly when they're due. But there are a lot of them.
Professor Majeske's QMM2400 class is challenging but very rewarding. His lectures are clear and engaging, with the right balance of instruction and humor. The unstuck AI app was a lifesaver for practice and exam prep.
Professor Majeske is nice but the lectures are very boring. The material can be difficult at time. The mindtap does not help at all just study the end of the chapter homework assignments
Loved the way he taught, sad he wasn't teaching QMM2410 in winter. There is homework each week and the class consists of mainly lectures (tries to make the class laugh) Pay attention to the examples he gives in class and study the homework assignments he creates (not Mindtap) and you'll do great. They look very similar to quizzes and tests.
Professor majeske is good. His lectures are somewhat fast-paced, but do not be afraid to ask questions or go to his office hours. Exams and quizzes are open note he tries his best to make the class interesting. I would've 100% taking him for stats 2410 if he was teaching it. Take him!
