Professor O'Regan is an excellent professor. I would take her course again. She is very knowledgeable and very approachable. I liked her a lot.

Not a class to take for an easy mark, but definitely a class to actually learn something. O'Regan shows a genuine concern for the progress of her students and is always available to answer questions.

An excellent teacher! She works very hard. What can one expect from a former STU graduate and a homegrown easterner!

Easiest class I took in 3 years at St. Thomas never learned a thing about the Charter and finished her class with an A. O'Regan has some mission about feminism going on, don't know what that is about, sorry but some of us were born males DEAL!!

You have to love a Prof who doesn't believe in class on Fridays! My kind of girl. I'll admit the class is super easy, all the notes and assignments are on the web,no exams etc...but who ever is complaining is crazy.Plus shes funny as hell when you do go!

She works very hard,but is sometime a little slow with returning work.She knows her stuff, and doesnt put up with any bull. Easy on the eyes!

Very Hot I never seen anyone as hot as that in my life..LOL Umm good class..I love the lawyer professor thing, she smart, funny as hell and makes class enjoyable..I strongly reccomend takign her for Adult Courts

good prof.. exaplins things well and makes them interesting.. no needmto go to clas really, if u dont care to know wnaything.. notes are online if you want them.. moots are easy if you choose to do them.. her marking for papers is sometimes very hard...QT

Karla is my new fav prof at stu now... she is tough in her expectations but at the same time very understanding and funny laied back.she once was a student not long ago and knows the tricks of the trade, very smart, funny ..a looker too

Way too easy! I actually worked and got an A, while my friend did absolutely nothing and got the same mark! Really nice though, and not biased towards women at all! Great gal.

She makes you work for your mark, but I guarentee you'll learn alot in this class and take a lot away from it.

Nice prof...knows her stuff. Hard to believe anyone would actually like the criminal code, but to each his/her own. She's pretty hot too, lol.

Karla is a solid teacher although I wish she would explain things more clearly. The first three days of class you wont like her but stick with it ... she is hot!!!!!

Karla is the best prof i have had in this school. I enjoyed her last year with all her funny comments about the rest of her bad classes. She is well educated and soo funny its great.

Impossible to get an A. And there is a lot of assignments that become mundane and annoying. However Karla is extremely energenic and if you want to laugh take this class. If not don't even bother.

Karla is an excellent professor. She's one of the reason's I'm pursuing my MA! Extremely easy to get along with. Not difficult to get a good mark if you pay attention and do your work!

Karla is so cool, very helpful which is good when you are going to university, love going to her class makes you laugh. Also very smart knows her stuff.

karla is a great prof. i probaly have this perception because i have a ****, however she made my required courses for crim the most enjoyable i've taken. she makes the most boring subject in the world (law) become interesting and enjoyable. i hear shes leaving which sucks, gonna miss ya ko.

Karla is a nice person. Extremely funny, but I can't stand her as a teacher. when it comes to tests/exams, she just writes them to be as hard as possible, its almost like shes trying to fail everyone. Also, I think one of the past comments were right, shes on a bit of a power trip....

Karla is an awesome woman/teacher. one of my favorite classes if not my favorite class i went to all year, has humor and makes everything enjoyable, take her classes, their awesome!

She makes your work for your mark, for sure. She forgets we have tests sometimes. Makes class interesting with amusing anecdotes. Some of the marks are poorly distributed. Show up to mandatory classes as they will literally drag you down a whole letter grade if you don't. SHE'S HOT! I think she's caught me gazing right at her. sorry! :)

Well she definatly didnt like some people in the class and made that very well known. but if your on her good side ( which isnt hard to do) she is great. VERY easy to talk to

Karla is a great prof. She lets you know what to expect and if you do it you will do great, if you don't then you won't (isn't that how it's supposed to be). No free ride here. She is very helpful and one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. I learned so much from her that I will take with me into graduate school. Thanks Karla!

Professor O'Regan is an amazing professor but more importanly she is an amazing person. She is not easy but she is more than fair. She understands that unforseen circumstances occur, and is willing to work around them if you are upfront with her. Her classes are always interesting, as well as information rich. She is a prof I will never forget!

She’s a geek and she knows it. Be sure to prepare yourself and keep up with your readings, don’t be shy to speak just make sure that you can back yourself up; she will test you. If you have a question she will do her best in getting you an answer if you’re serious about it. She makes you work for your mark, but over all she is a great professor.

Do your work and you will do well. I love this class mostly because of Karla, I can't stand how some people never stop giving their opinions though. And sometimes, you can tell she does too. ;)

Karla is what all other profs should be, explains things, expects work from us, and humourous to make the class enjoyable. I do wish she was harder on people who talk constantly in class, thats annoying. This class is alot of reading, but that is just your contribution to the class, i mean c'mon you have to do something!LONG LIVE THE 3RD ROW

Karla is fantastic, she's funny and is very clear with the subject matter. She definitly loves the slideshows and likes to draw on them with her red thing:) On the first day of class she sat down and started playing the piano and when someone came in late she said "Aww, you missed the Concert!" haha! LONG LIVE 3RD ROW!!! You guys were awesome!!!

So far I think she's great. SHe is hot in this sexy librarian way. wooo!!! But, she seems like she knows her stuff like sickly. She loves it! She seems like she is tough but I know with this I will learn a lot in her class. Things cant always be easy. I think shes hilarious too and she can dress. ;)

She is a hard, but fair marker. Karla is a definete hottie. If you don't pay attention and dont go to class you're done for. Gotta do the reading or else you will be lost in her classes. It is a lot of work and worth it if you're willing to put the effort and time into it. You will learn a lot and it is interesting :)

She has to be my favorite prof. She has these strange ways of getting me to remember things ie drawing faced on slides. Silly but it made me remember. She was intimidating at first and theres alot of reading and if u don't do it she knows!!! and will ask u to leave class. Keep up with the reading and go to class and u will be fine. AWSOME PROF!!!

I am pretty sure I have taken every possible class with her. She is for sure my fav prof at STU! She is amazing. At first kind of intimidating but afterwards she's great. Just make sure you do the work in her class, if you slack off well..you don't want to do that in her class! lol I'm going to miss her classes for sure.

Amazing. Easy to talk to, very clear to understand. Don't BS with her and she won't BS with you. Do your work, don't jerk her chain. You'll love her. I do, she's great. She knows her stuff. Definitely recommend Karla.

Just one of the qualities I really liked about her is that she adapts to make it easier for everyone's learning style. She gives daily updates, which helps you keep track of what you're learning, and she's easy to track down at her office after or before class if you need something clarified.

Use a highly valuable practical examples

She clearly knows what she is talking about and is able to make her points clear. You have to work for your marks. If you don't go to class you are a moron, she's beautiful, brilliant and each class is like stand-up...she's funny. I took criminal law with her and then took a harder class just to have her as a prof again. Highly recommended.

Prof. O'Regan is the best professor I've ever had. This was one of the hardest courses I've taken but I came out with an A. She is incredibly fair with her marking and is always willing to help if you need it. You CANNOT do the assignments the night before! Just do the work + readings, you'll be fine - she expects you to know everything you read!

Karla is my favorite professor, she has high expectations for assignments, but if you take the time to do them you will do great. There is alot of work to her assignments but put in the work and you will be happy with your grade, if your struggling with anything in her course, just ask for help She is a very intelligent women!

Lady is the whole package: she's brilliant, hilarious, and beautiful. Not only has she made crim. interesting and easy to learn, she's also made me question my sexuality a bit (joking but kind of not; seriously, she's all that). Just come to class, which will NOT be a chore. Definitely taking more of her classes.

Karla is very nice. Very understanding and willing to work with you. In this class however there are 2h weekly moodle quizzes. She offers only a final that is A LOT of work, and 3 research assignments. 10% for participation, so make sure to go to class. What is nice however is that she posts her notes, articles, etc all on moodle!

Karla is an amazing professor! She's hilarious, and has a ton of stories that make learning (especially theory) more interesting. While attendance isn't mandatory, she does a lot of group work where you will get participation marks, which is the only problem I had with her (I prefer to work alone). All of her exams / tests are open book too.

Karla is an AMAZING professor, she makes the obscure become crystal clear in her professional yet quirky way. She is a highly involved professor that doesn't drone on at the front of the room, she expects you to keep up with her class and if you put in the effort you will not regret it. I have taken all her classes because she is that good!

Karla is my all time favourite professor. She knows law like the back of her hand, has a teaching style that's good for almost anyone, makes sure that no single assignment can make or break you, and has a brilliant sense of humour. I genuinely look forward to her classes, and I will be a little heartbroken when I've taken all that are available.

Karla's an awesome prof with a sense of humour. Grades fairly. Quizzes are monthly and the exam is open-book. She doesn't care if you show up for class, but she does recognize participation with regular group exercises. Readings aren't usually hard. She's willing to help if needed. Responds to email quickly, but encourages email as a last resort.

Criminal Procedure is not as bad as people think it is. You need to show up and take lots of time on the assignments. She is willing to answer questions and give help so if you need it, take it. Very interesting class with lots of things to learn that you may not in another class. Great class, totally recommend it.

Such an amazing prof. Very intelligent and really knows what she's talking about. She doesn't require attendance but will do in class assignments that will count for participation. She marks fairly but you still have to put the effort in. She's very upfront and honest. Listening to her is actually entertaining and I really enjoyed her class.

Lectures are great; she is extremely funny, knowledgeable, and easy on the eyes, for lack of a better term. She moves through material very quickly so be on your A game when you go to class. The text book is a must-read and while attendance is optional, it is in your best interest not to skip out. Your grades will suffer if you do.

It seems like Karla has the Criminal Code memorized! I thoroughly enjoyed almost every aspect of her class. Assignments are slightly time consuming if you want to do well, but I really liked the assignments. Very clear in what she wants for work. This course has helped me immeasurably in all of my other Crim courses!

She is amazing! I love her as a teacher, missing her class isn't advised there is in class assignments! She really knows her stuff, she will add personal stories to make it more relatable as well as she uses multiple teaching methods. She also has an amazing accent.

Love this prof, but lots of reading from the textbook. Does class participation so don't skip the class. A tough grader so start on assignments early & work hard on them, don't do them the night before or your mark will reflect it. Very approachable and helpful, always willing to explain things if you're stuck. Would take her classes again!

Criminal Procedure has been THE most useful class I have taken at St. Thomas! It definitely isn't an easy A, but that is because she wants people to be ready for the real world once they have taken her class, which I totally respect and appreciate. I liked that the only test we had was the final exam, which was open book.

Her lectures are the highlight of my week, although she does have some daddy issues and talks too much about her cats, she's super insightful teacher and i love taking her classes. Her exams and tests are all open book, read the text book and go to class if you want to do super well in her class.

I seriously believe this is the most brilliant professor at STU hands down. She will really make you think and you will take SO much away from any class you take with her. Karla is absolutely amazing. She is the type of professor that makes you want to go to every class. Reasonably, she likes her classes to participate in discussions and will get upset with the class if nobody speaks. She's very, very intelligent about anything in relation to the criminal justice system. I highly recommend her classes!!! Love her.

I have never felt like I've learnt more from a single course. This course is not easy, it forces you to read and do the work. I highly reccomend if you want to benefit from your education. Very helpful when you ask for help. READ the textbook!! in depth and make notes and highlight

Karla is an absolutely amazing lecturer. Can make even the driest material very exciting and fun! She is singlehandedly my most favourite professor, BUT is a difficult marker and expects the best from her students. Although she may seem intimidating at first, she is so kind and caring (and very smart). You will not regret taking one of her classes!

O'Regan has taught me more than any course I've ever taken. Her classes interesting, & she influenced me for the better. Karla has taught me the most useful material for my future. Not only that but I feel as if what I've learned won't be forgotten as soon as the courses are over. Rare&demonstrates her ability to teach. Sabbatical sad students

Karla is the most approachable professor I have had at STU. Taking classes with her has allowed me to become even more passionate about the law and she makes learning about it even more interesting. Her lectures are the highlight of my weeks. The fact that she is going on sabbatical next year is very sad for anybody who will miss out on having her.

This is probably the best online class STU offers. She really cares about her students and the quality of her lectures. I will say that the lectures are long and there was a quiz at the end of every week. She relied heavily on info from the textbook for the quizzes. One of the best profs at STU. Very accomodating, just email her!

Amazing prof and the reason I came to STU. Quizzes are easy and so helpful. Research assignments are somewhat difficult, she is a tough grader on these, but she gives great feedback and will help you succeed. Definitely take a class with her!

If you do the readings and don't leave assignments until the last minute, it's easy to get a good mark! Professor O'Regan is amazing at what she does, and is passionate in what she teaches. I recommend you take at least one course with her during your time at STU! I can't wait to take all of her other classes!

Great prof. Lots of reading but if you stay on top of it, you will do well. She gives great feedback which helps for further assignments. Criminal Law is a difficult subject so keep up with all assignments and work hard. She can be a tough grader with assignments but she is relatively easy going. Would take her class again for sure.

Dr. O'Regan is a tough professor. 3223 involves alot of reading and while attendance is not completely mandatory you have to go to class to know what you are doing. If you are taking Crim or Crim justice I highly recommend taking her class. If you work hard ask question and go to class she will help you as much as possible.

Karla is a tough but fair professor. Her lectures are engaging, and she provides great feedback. To succeed, stay on top of readings and assignments. Unstuck study was super helpful for study prep.
