In TOTAL AGREEMENT with the other comments posted here! I am a 3.6 GPA student and dropped her class. She forces her opinions on you and is very biass in the way she corrects the essays. DO NOT TAKE HER.

She is not even qualified to teach students in Junior HS and she is teaching at college. She is very pessimistic and will write more than you on your essays. IF you ask any question, she'll say she is not a walking dictionary. To define her the best, look the word "degenerate" in dictionary you'll find her picture attached to it! Don't take her!

She comes off as very uninterested. Not very helpful and has a very annoying trait that I can't put my pinpoint yet. Also she looks like Fantasia from American Idol, gross.

My first B after all As. Laughing, late, leaves early. Does not check the papers. You get the grades by mail after semester is over. Gives tests every week with not clear questions. No right answers. Everybody were shocked. The worst professor I had so far.. Droppppppp!!!

I do not recommend to take her class if you care of your GPA. She does not help at all, she is always not satisfied with essays, she always grades essays late. Moreover, she is not able to maintain friendly class environment. She screams, force her opinion and usually class behavies very terribly because she stimulates it.

I was reading those comments from 2008, and it's just like what happened in my last class in 2014. This Ms. Gooding (Not even a Prof!!!) is the worst teacher I've ever met. Took month to grade the first weeks essays, no notification when she was canceled the class. Every time you try to ask her something, you won't get the answer directly.

Professor GOODING, she's sure not a gem She doesn't go over anything you ask her, has an attitude and makes faces when you do ask her a question. She's so negative and belittles people instead of helping them.

She's so unprofessional, she doesn't know how to speak to people especially since we're in college we should at least feel a little bit more free. She makes faces and starts to breathe hard as if she's upset all the time. The other day she told a young girl to get a job if your in school part time and live with your parents. She's bile!!

professor is beyond unprofessional she complains how 2 and half hours of our time for writing isn't enough but always comes to class late and then lets us out half hour early. She collected our emails and private num but she cant inform us when she is not coming in. She has a nasty attitude and is always saying rude negative comments to the student

Took her online for summer. TERRIBLE. She didn't grade anything until a few days before the course ended. Gave us absolutely no feedback on the assignments we did. How am I supposed to know how I'm doing if she's grading everything at the end of the class?? She grades really hard for no reason and gives too much hw and short deadlines. PLEASE AVOID

DO NOT take this professor! I did all of my assignments and still got an F, even with English being one of my best areas my entire educational career. She makes you do SOOOOO MANYYYY DRAFTS to the point where it's tedious and unnecessary, more than it is helpful. She's a slow grader, and is also slow at communicating with students via email.

I took this class for the fall and it was overwhelming, she explains in detail,however it was too much work that it seemed confused,overload, and clumsy. Mainly there going to be 2 main assignments both of them 8-10 pages. Prepare yourself to do a lot drafts and now that is online to see a lot videos. I dont recommend this class.

Currently 2 months into her class and she finally graded the first assignment we handed in in the first week. Its no surprise that every teacher has different expectations and if she isnt there for us to learn these expectations, she is setting us up to fail. I want everyone to notice that all of the good comments were posted years ago. Since COVID she has only been getting bad reviews. She is not a good teacher for online school. Very harsh grader. She currently hates her job due to it all being online and she takes it out on the students. Good luck to the people like me who see this mid-year

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS,IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR GRADES. She is such a harsh grader, she takes forever to posts grades and she barely gives any feedback. Spent a week or so doing nothing because she didn't post anything. Highly recommend you find another professor for this English class. Even the non important mistakes can cost you a good grade. AVOID!

If you're doing online please don't take her. I just received my first grade for some assignments we had done 2 months ago and her grading is really tough. My grade for English last semester was an A+ and in this class it's not looking good.

If you care about your GPA do not take this course. It took an entire two months to get our very first assignments graded and almost everyone received poor grades. She claims the date of grading was done deliberately and even goes as far to say that if you would like to talk to her, you have to mention whats wrong with you FIRST. Terrible.

She is ALL OVER THE PLACE. She assigns so many things at once. Currently, we are working on two 10 page essays and have to send in a million different worksheets about them. On top of that so many discussion post! It's absurd... I even keep getting emails from the students on what to do because she's so confusing! Harsh grader and HEAVY work load.

Worst professor I have ever had. Honestly, her work is just ridiculous and pointless. Here's just an example, she gave us 2 10 page essays and on top of that wants a 'mini version' of one of those 10 page essays. She obviously can care less for her students. She didn't grade anything until the end of semester and takes points away for everything.

I have never complained about an Instructor, let alone went out of my way to do so but this woman is the worst. I am somehow incapable of learning from her/what she wants from us. We could not privately email her, are only allowed to ask questions via a public forum. She would send out angry, ALL CAP EMAILS if someone did. I want my money back.

She makes the course so much harder then it should be. Its English, English shouldnt be this hard. She makes 2 hours videos just to explain what to do weekly when she can just explain briefly in the announcement section.

Grading system made no sense. Assignments made no sense. Did not understand her comments for the grade she gave. Asked non-important questions on the discussion board and test. Horrible at explaining assignments in her modules.

I was shocked by her teaching style. I did all her assignments, but her favorite score is 30 out of 100. In the end, I decided to drop the course. I do not recommend this professor.

Would Not Recommend. Only lasted 3 weeks based on the assignments. Blackboard layout was not great, lots of letters in different colors, fonts and layouts which confused things. Workload was not relating to each other, all over the place. Grades very harshly, and you are not able to fix your mistakes. Grading was based off a weird rubric. No bueno

I will be submitting a complaint. I was really trying to follow along. The topics she picks are all based on violence. She doesn't let students to ask any questions, only in a public chat, and she doesn't respond for a while. Her grading system is unclear and unfair, you won't be able to fix anything. she won't give you CLEAR instructions.

After writing a 8 page paper with the instructions she gave this lady gave me a 1 out of a 100. She is the worst bitter angry witch. She makes the learning experience just terrible.

This professor is very condescending and will try to put you down at every chance she get gets. It's almost as if she's at war with her students. Her guidelines for her discussion boards are ludicrous and everyday and everyday an assignment is due, you bare get time for other courses. Run from this crazy lady, you will fail!!

Professor Gooding was ok in the beginning but sent out an email to kids who were failing, and it just didn't seem polite and helpful and was not providing any help or support.

The professor grading criteria is not clear at all. She over explains assignment making it difficult to understand what is needed to be done. She overfills the course content with a lot of unnecessary post and announcements instead of diving straight to the point. This professor uses TURNITIN for essay. Also, 1-6 audio lectures of 1 hour or more.

I withdrew from the class. No way I am getting a B in English. She teaches college kids like they are in middle school. Grading is months late so you don't know where you stand. The 4 highlighted colors are atrocious and she over explains everything. I am not joking about this. Don't take her. There is no growth with her. You are only wasting time.

We are 2 weeks away from the semester ending and she has still not graded anything past week 2, we are expected to complete a final essay without grading or feedback on our drafts and when asked if we were going to receive feedback she said to rely on self-evaluation and peer review. She also refuses to answer questions via email. DO NOT TAKE HER

I wish I ran! I am currently in her course and it is by far the worse and will NEVER be satisfied, has tons of unnecessary post, never gets the to main point, and then expects you to understand what she is saying when she is not clear. She never responds to emails, always late on her weeks, and she is unreliable and shouldn't be in this profession.

I had a terrible experience with this professor and would not recommend her to new students. She speaks to you as if you were in middle school, and the Blackboard template is very disorganized. Hopefully, she improves in the future.

I'm taking her class online right now. All of the comments & bad ratings are true. Do not take English with her. This professor is definitely all over the place and sends out a lot of random announcements at once. what can be said in 1 minute will be turned into a 30 min to 1 hour lecture.I may have to make the decision to withdraw from the class

HORRIBLE omg do not take this class run away from her SAVE YOURSELF. she gives an insane amount of homework and does not explain things unless its three pages long which is just confusing. she is horrendous and i would never recommend her to anyone in a million lifetimes.
