Karmini is great, she is super engaging and makes class time super fun! She is very willing to help you with any questions and cares about her students success! Class time usually ends early so you can have time to work on assignments! I would 100% take her again, she is just a kind human with a great personality

She is a very sweet teacher and the verse of the day and prayer is very uplifting. She is very clear if you are willing to ask and she is always ready to help. I would definitely recommend her as a teacher.

Amazing. I love this professor, her classes were very interesting and we actually discussed topics that are essential to know in today's society. It is very obvious she cares about her students. She is very cool and knows how to teach and be interesting. Would definitely take her again.

Professor Narayanan is so sweet, a great professor and very understanding of circumstances. Participation is essential to her classes and she loves getting everyone involved, she gives a class period each unit to just work on your paper and is always available for help. I really enjoyed having her my last year of school.

Professor Karmini is a great professor, always there to help her students. Her office hours are always open. Never be afraid to ask her questions.

Karmini was cool, she tries to stay hip and is pretty funny. There were a few small in class group projects, nothing crazy. She sets up her lectures around the assignments. I did not find her a tough grader whatsoever but many did, it was a fairly easy class.

Professor Karmini is amazing, caring, and super funny! There were lectures, but they were never too long. She cracked jokes regularly and it was my favorite class. Interesting and open class discussions, often watched videos and movies to learn about the topic we were being taught. I would recommend her, 10/10!

The grading in the rubric is in-depth and helps us deeply understand what we need to work on and is willing to talk with us. I would extremely recommend this teacher. Professor Karmini Narayanan is a great professor long as you pay attention and do the reading you will have no problems. There are not many assignments in the class so grades matter a lot make sure to follow the rubric and you are good.

Professor K is a very sweet professor and most of the time the class isn't actually doing anything communications. She's pretty devout in her faith so there's a bible verse and a group prayer session at the beginning of every lecture. Her class had few, heavy writing assignments. They were poorly introduced so keep an eye on them.

Professor Narayanan is the nicest professor I have had since my freshman year of college. Her lectures are easy going and she is very respectful. She makes learning communications easy and fun, and I would recommend her to any student that is going to take her class.

Professor Narayanan is a caring, funny, and engaging instructor. When taking a class with her, be prepared to laugh and learn. Her lectures are relevant and to the point and will never go longer than they need to. My only critique is that I wish she would illustrate more of her issues with her real-world experience and examples.

Professor Narayanan was amazing in COM-263! Her lectures are entertaining, interesting, and engaging. She is from Malaysia and incorporates her own experiences into class and it is was great! Her grading is fair and she goes through every assignment for you to get the best score. Paula Harper was also an amazing IA who will teach this course soon!

The professor is really nice and works well with you if there are days that you are not able to go to class, she will try to help you as best as she can. I would consider more of a friend rather a professor she is really easy to get along with and talk to as well

Her courseload is average, and she make sure that students to know the rubrics and expectations for assignments. She has good office hours as well. She cares about her students and engages them in the class, and overall has a happy environment in the class, but still gets work done

I have never had a class that was not engaging. Professor K, along with Harper and Tony, always made class entertaining and something worth looking forward to. Lectures are minimal, and a lot of the content is based on current, real-world events. Highly recommend this course!

Prof. Karmini is really reasonable and wants to work with you. Her class is strictly lectures with a few group projects sprinkled in, but the class never goes the full time. The assignments are sometimes unclear on what she wants, however you can message her questions and have a response within 5 minutes.

This was my first semester at GCU and Professor K made it a very easy transition. The work load is light with a requirement of a in depth understanding. The lectures also aren't long. I do recommend taking this course with Professor K.

Very outgoing and fun, very very harsh grader and the assignments were often confusing, and she has a thick accent.

Professor Karmini is very nice. She prays before every class. The first couple of assignments are making videos talking about the topics which I did not like. In some classes we had to present in front of the whole class. The major essay is pretty easy to write based off of what is talked about during class.

Take this class if you can! Super helpful and you learn a lot.

Such a sweet professor. Participation is taken in person every single day so you have to make sure you show up, but she never keeps you the whole time so that's super nice. Speeches assigned are not very hard. I would have done better but I didn't like going because I don't like public speech. Professor is amazing though.

She is a good professor. I'm not a communications major, so I wasn't interested in the lectures, but they were good. Her AI's can be tough graders, but shes always willing to help you out.

She was a very good teacher. Kind, and always available if you need her via text or Halo. She usually lets the class out early as well. Only thing I didn't like was there were MANY in-class mini group projects that don't count towards your grade that she made us do.

I really enjoyed this class. I think the subject of the class can get a little boring but she was good at keeping the students engaged. My class was also very large which in general made it a little harder to engage in. She had really good things to say and she overall was a good and fair grader. Just don't get behind on assignments.

This prof was good, she's very sweet and is cool to talk to. We watch movies in class which help you understand the content taught in class.

Professor Narayanan is an excellent teacher. She allowed me to improve in public speaking which was something I have always struggled with. She gave me feedback so I could fully understand the areas I had to work on so I could become a public speaker. She also showed her students that coming to class was a big part of our learning experience.

She's super sweet! She starts her classes with fun facts, daily news, and trivia…super fun. The class is normally under an hour and fifteen minutes but attendance is mandatory. We typically have a short lecture then group work and an assessment once every two weeks. Really enjoyed the class! Professor Karmini is super sweet, funny, and chill!!!

She is an amazing professor who cares abut her students. Easy class A if you do the work required, put effort into your work. She is the type of professor who notices when a student in genuinely trying. even if you aren't the best public speaker she grades accordingly shinning light on what you did good on and giving advice on what you can better!!

Professor N is amazing!! I am in her public speaking class right now and it is evident that she cares for her students a lot! If you get the chance or you're thinking about joining her class, do it! I thought she was a great professor. Not many people enjoy public speaking classes due to the anxiety behind it. However, she was very comforting and a personable professor. She was very clear about assignments and didn't grade harshly at all. You can see that she gets joy from teaching and only wants her students to succeed. I recommend!!

She doesn't give a bunch of work, what gives out is applicable to what she teaches. She goes over instructions for assignments in class to make it easy as possible for her students.

She isn't even my professor but gave me 35 minutes of her time to conduct an interview and was so sweet and helped me a ton because she used to teach the same class I was in. Did I mention she did this after hours and on her birthday! She's truly the best and everybody should take her class!!!! Love HER!

Overall a great professor, participation definitely matters you have to show up to class. She makes class interesting with fun interactive games at the beginning of every lecture, she also gives you an opportunity to ask lots of questions if you need help!

Professor Narayanan is amazing! She is always so sweet and really wants to get to know her students. I had her for COM-222 and it was a very fun and interactive course!

She works very hard to keep her class engaged and keep it interesting. There is very few assignments, however she and the IA's graded exactly as the rubric instructed, so if you follow the rubric you should have no problem getting an A. She also is very good about answering any questions concerning the assignments.

Absolutely loved this course, I am not a fan of public speaking, and she made it a good course. Listen to the feedback she gives, as it helps a lot. If I could have her again I would. I had a lot of fun in her class, always let you out early too she usually goes to the 20 mark of the even hour and on speech days that can be even less.

The professor was amazing and showed she cared about her students and what they had going on in their lives. She understands we are all people and deserve some personality, unlike professors who are ridged and sterile. Assignments are easy and it's an easy class, however,r I went to class every day never missing participation.

Prof. K makes classes very fun. The assignments are very straightforward and she gives you more than enough information for them. She mixes in some group projects with individual work. Hands down one of the best professors at GCU. You can tell she loves her job. Participation is always an easy DQ at the end of class. There are very few assignments but all of them are super easy. Classes are always a lot of fun and entertaining, very group/discussion heavy.

Lectures get boring, assignments are doable and not difficult to complete, not a very hard grader. Super nice and also funny.

She is very nice and cares for her students. However, a lot of her lectures are just her going over PowerPoints, so it does get boring at times. One thing i would also keep in mind is that she has an exit ticket everyday, so if you leave before the class is completely over, you won't get participation points for that day.

She's a great professor who genuinely cares about her students. Classes mainly involve her reading off PowerPoint presentations, which can be a bit boring. Assignments are manageable and due every other week. She posts an exit ticket at the end of each class, so make sure you stay until the end to get the question for it. Overall, an easy class.
