Pay more attention to the book than her..She gives horrible notes if any at all and her tests are unclear and unfair.

I hated this class! The lectures put me to sleep and her in class assignments were made for middle schoolers. Notes sucked and she was very unclear about the information she wanted you to know. If you know what's good for you stay away from this teacher

I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy! She's very boring, her tests are very confusing and difficult, and she's such a snob when you ask her ANYTHING. I had a 4.0 but I'm sure she enjoyed changing that.

Avoid this teacher at all costs. She is very disorganized, late to class, and has no buisness teaching. Grading practices are very unfair and I her tests, in my opinion, were made up by a graduate student. Stay away from her if you value your GPA.

One of my worst teachers yet!! She says "Ummm" like 100 times/class pd....tests are way too hard and she is so boring. DO NOT take her class..ever!

Very unorganized. Unusally late to class. Tests are difficult and there is no help from her. Avoid this teacher if you can. If you get stuck with her, just count how many times she says "ummm" in a class....its ridiculous.

She is a terrible teacher. She spends more time away from class and when she is there she is so boring. Her test are ridiculous considering the material she covers in class. Not very helpful and very dry.

She was always late to class, never prepared, and boring. Means well but should not be a professor. Worst class of my semester. Avoid her at all costs. I read the ratings just as you are reading this and figured I would just stick it out anyway, IT WAS A MISTAKE !!!!!

Worset professor i ever had. She didn't know what she was talking about half of the times. She even said in class one day that she didn't like teaching and didn't know why she was even doing it. Every other word out of her mouth is "umm" and is very unclear about EVERYTHING!

Save your time and money and avoid this teacher at any cost. UCF is going to keep losing money by putting her in front of a classroom. Talk about disorganized, boring, and difficult to comprehend! She has no business teaching. I think I'll take my money and earn my Masters somewhere else. Thanks UCF.

Do not take this professor!!! Avoid at all costs. Wait and try taking it with a better professor. Don't risk it, i did and I regret it! I should have waited to take it with Flint or something. She is hard to understand, her notes suck, and 15 out 50 test questions are impossible true/false. Save your GPA! Why is she still teaching?

Hands down 1 of the worst teachers i have ever had. I had no idea what she was talking about in her lectures. On top of that the outlines that are supposed to be helpful that she gives in class are merely an outline of chapter and subject topics in the book. If u do get stuck with her i recommend just reading the book b/c she definitely wont help u

By far the worst teacher I have ever had. Please do not take. I think the reviews that are good below me were done by Lucken herself. She does not review for test so you are on your own. Test are extremely difficult even though it?s multiple choice. Horrible absolutely horrible Professor.

She is the worsts teacher ever. Seriously, her study guides are just general topics from notes. She likes to say not to worry about a section cause we won't be tested on it and sure enough It will have atleast 3 questions on the exam. I wish I would've read the bad comments before taking her. Although she gives you papers and tests, she's judgmental and makes you feel stupid for asking her questions. You can't email her about grades or questions. Her tests are crazy stupid because she rewords everything to confuse you. She acts like she has some sense of entitlement. I won't be taking her again.

She is the absolute WORST teacher I have ever taken. She does not give a study guide, and she's very judgmental on the work she grades. She expects everyone to know and understand exactly what she is saying when the material is not easy! I would never ever in a million years take this professor again!!!!! DO NOT TAKE HER!!! Ridiculous instructor. Ridiculous assignment criteria. Ridiculous grading. Instructor needs a psych evaluation. Test are impossible and grading is berating. No communication. No explanation. Stay far away if you like your gpa. She is an unhappy person.

Lucken is a difficult professor. Took her for two classes, back to back time periods, and I wanted to cry after each class meeting. She is rude, will laugh at you if you say the wrong answer, belittle your opinion, ect ect. BEWARE! you will pass, but youll hate yourself for signing up for her class.

She is by far the worst professor in this department! A criminal justice professor who has to go to court often because she disrespects police officers! She is rude and her lectures are very boring. The text book is EXTREMELY boring. She doesn't like to communicate to her students on email, office hours only... -__- I will never take her again!

She is the hardest professor I've ever taken. If you do not want you GPA to drop THEN DO n NOT TAKE HER!!!

Doesn't use online resources, email, or give reviews for exams. Hand-write her slides in class which do not prep you for test, DO show up for assignments; she's not bad/hard, she's just incompetent as an educator. Better for the field IMHO. She has difficultly engaging the class and expressing ideas. You can pass; READ BOOKS; ONLY 4 GRADED WORKS

Professor Lucken doesn't post anything online, you have to show up to class to know what's going on. She writes on the board, but it's hard to understand. She doesn't communicate with students at all. Her lectures are so boring and her tests are quite difficult. I suggest not taking this class (with her at least.)

Her exams are only open for 12 hour windows usually 8am-8pm so beware if you have a weird schedule. As well, her exams are between 55-59 questions with only 60 minutes to answer them, they are multiple choice, however they tend to be very specific information from the book, which without the book you wouldnt pass. Exam heavy course.

This professor is probably one of the least cut out people, ive ever met, to teach. Upon asking questions, she will simply call you dumb and to consult the syllabus, If you tell her you did, she basically tells you 'okay well you should know from that'. This is on top of her requiring you buy HER book for the class, which seems a little sketchy.

Worst professor I have ever taken, not only were her tests ridiculously hard but they were also 50+ questions with only 60 minutes to take them. Her required text is her OWN book, which is confusing.

Grade is based on 3 tests from her own textbook. Tests are incredibly hard and only gives you 60 minutes to answer 58 questions. Will not take this teacher again.

Be prepared to fail. She tells you not to study from her notes or power points. Shes awful at teaching us the information. Never posts things online. NO study guides to her impossible tests. If you skip class you will not pass. Graded on 3 tests and one writing assignment. GIVES NO EXTRA CREDIT AND NOT CURVED GRADES NO MATTER WHAT.

If you ever needed to avoid a professor this one would be it. She only gives 3 exams and 1 Essay through out the course based on a book she wrote herself. Her exams a damn near impossible to pass. She gives absolutely no extra credit or curves for any reason even if her class is at a 60% average.

She only grades you on 3 exams and 1 writing assignment. The exams were hard, she never gave a study guide or anything on what is on the exam, and they are timed 60 mins for around 50 something questions. The essay was less challenging but still didnt help my grade. No homework, which did not help! Think before taking this teacher.

Grades four things throughout the entire semester. 3 exams (75%) and 1 writing assignment(25%). If you miss an exam, since she opens and closes them from 8am to 8pm, you will not be given a chance to make it up. Nor will she give extra credit. The exams are based off her own book which is just awful how she profits off of her students. DO NOT TAKE!

She told me that everything will come from her book and that it's a story and nothing like a textbook feeding you facts. If you can wrap your head around that you may do better than me. Her exams are incredibly hard and in my opinion you don't have close to enough time. She will not always respond and will talk down to you. Best of luck.

Awful professor. Class is made up of 3 exams and 1 writing assignment. Exams are tough. Professor does not respond to emails.

If you're not a good test taker and depend on quizzes and extra credit to boost your grade then this teacher and her course may not be for you She gives no extra credit opportunity. She provides no study guide to inform you what will be on the exams. There are three exams no quizzes and we only ended up doing one out of the two in-class assignments

I still have more classes to take but this was the worst professor I had THUS far! First off. It is a lot of reading and the tests PISS ME OFF. Once you answer a question you cannot go back and the time is not far off from the questions. I could barely understand the question before I went to the next for time sake. She never said my name right >:(

There are only 3 exams and one assignment. Everything rides on your exam grades. There is no extra credit and getting a good grade on the exams is vital. There are no study guides and the exams are complex and confusing. When she says select all that apply she wants you to bubble more than one answer on the scantron. DONT TAKE

There were 3 exams, two discussions and one written assignment. Tests aren't bad, but her lectures are very boring. She's very strict; I had an issue with accidentally missing an assignment and she was not accommodating AT ALL even though I had never missed anything before. Would not recommend her, especially if you have a busy schedule.

Class set up for failure, was the only B I received during my Bachelor. Not allowed to go backward on tests, 60 min/58 ques, and most ques not covered in textbook. Grading criteria/instructions unclear and beware took 15 points off paper for petty grammatical errors. She made dumb due date and link mistakes to, lazy prof. If possible, AVOID.

Strict grader.

DO NOT TAKE!!! She is tough. Took almost 20 points off my paper because of some punctuation errors. I failed the class because I got a C- and she wants a C or higher to pass… told me I was failing the class and there's nothing I could do because I got a 71 on the exam and if I would've done better she'd take some of the weight from the test down.

Grade is based on 4 exams that are 30ish questions that you get 30 minutes for. The questions are very tricky and phrased in a confusing way. She also provides VERY little material and does not teach AT ALL. Units 1-3 she uploaded some content just reading off slides, but for unit 4 she uploaded nothing and you just had to read the textbook.
