Very nice professor, very clear, and her class is easy if you make it easy. No need to buy the book as long as you read her slides and pay attention in class. Just like any other Biology class there will be a lot of material to cover in a very limited amount of time. Lots of lectures and labs but she does a great job at putting everything together

This bio class was one that I had most fun specially lab times. I learned a lot In her class, she is nice and cares about her students. It's not an easy A class you have to work for it. We had two unknown which was my favorite. Take her you'll not regret.

She is amazing. Her personality is adorable and she is a great teacher that SERIOUSLY wants her students to do well. She will ALWAYS answer your question and make sure that you understand every single thing that's going on. I am honestly blessed to have had the opportunity to have her as my biology instructor.

Professor K is a real gem when it comes to Micro. The subject is really tedious and is heavy lecture based, but she will help you throughout the semester as long as you ask her questions!!! She provides a lot of extra credit and study guides for the quizzes/exams. Take her you won't regret it!

Her lectures are not boring and is approachable if you have any questions or concerns. She cares about her students and wants students to learn. Even though we have quizzes every week, they are pretty straight forward and is based on the PP and lectures. She gives opportunities to bring up your grades by giving extra credits. Awsome professor!!!

One of the best professors ever in my undergraduate years!! Cares for every student wants everyone to pass. Very possible to get an A. Her exams are very straightforward straight from lecture and slides. Gives extra credit opportunities. If i ever needed to i would take her in a heart beat.I wish every professor was like her.

Took her for anatomy during the winter session and she was awesome. She has a very nice, giggly personality (which is rare for the bio department of GCC) and passion for clinical anatomy. Very clear in what exactly you need to know and how will she grade. She has done her PHD in medical school so she is great for all the aspiring premeds.

Shes very passionate & cares for the students who try in her class. Its a hard class, but be sure to ask lots of questions and know everything off the study guide. I was disappointed that we didnt do all the dissections, but our class fell behind & needed to get caught up. She spent too much time answering students questions instead of moving on.

Don't be fooled by the previous reviews! Professor Rostamiani has been great this semester with everything going on due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She wants all of her students to succeed and do well. She is so caring and will explain something time and time over until everyone understands the material. She's a real gem. You won't regret taking her.

Yes microbio can be hard, it's a prerequisite for nursing schools duhh. Anyone who complains about her class doesn't want to put in the work or study and just earn a grade. Dr. Rostamiani is a wonderful professor who cares a lot for her students. She makes the labs fun and is always accessible to answer questions.

Professor Rostamiani does her best to make the class fun even during these times! I don't know what some people are expecting her to do? Hang out As to everyone? She's a really good professor and explains the material very well.

Professor Rosyamiani is the best teacher that I have. she explains everything clearly and made it easy to understand. she made me to like the Biology . if you listen to the lectures you will get a high grade. she also gives us homework that helps us to understand better and practice.

She is really caring, and she makes the material understandable. Sure, she has a lot of HW, lots of things to submit, but believe me! This is what makes your grade go higher! Do HWs, study, and review a lot before exams, and I promise you, it's an easy A! She's very considerate, and ensures that her students do well always.

Dr. Rostamiani is so kind and encouraging and her lectures are extremely clear. She thoroughly explains topics in detail w/out confusing you. In fact, she makes it very easy to understand different concepts. Anatomy itself is A LOT of material, so expect to do extra studying on your own. She is one of the best in Biology. She is carrying and practice a lot. She gives you a bunch of assignments that are helpful for learning and also boost your grades. I loved her class and learned a lot. She really explained every detail. Moreover, she replied to your emails right away. I don't have words to express, just I can say she is inspiring.

I don't know what's up with the negative reviews. I can only speak from her microbiology class and I thought it was great. She does go really fast but you can always ask her to go back and review. There is one heavily clinical exam but everything else was from her lectures. Put the work in and she'll give you the grade you deserve. Solid teacher

Dr. Rostamiani is a very enthusiastic and caring professor. She provides recorded lectures, study guides, slides, extra credit. You can tell that she loves to teach and she is welcoming of any and all questions. This class is hybrid -she does spend some time lecturing in person, which is great. I found this professor to be very understanding and inspiring. She was great with answering any questions and explaining details and gave our class plenty of resources to utilize that were super helpful in understanding concepts. Anything not fully understood using these resources, she would gladly answer and assist with. Highly recommend her!

Dr. Rostamiani is a super caring professor. She loves to teach and goes above and beyond to help students. She did extra in person lectures and an extra study session to help with some difficult concepts. Microbiology is a very difficult class, probably the hardest I've taken at GCC, but she does everything she can to help you learn the material.

Dr. Rostamiani enjoys teaching & is very personable. She takes the time and energy to make sure that the class has a great learning experience. She's very knowledgeable & passionate about science. She has a great method of lecturing anatomy. Get ready to study hard though. This course needs a lot of reading.

honestly think some of these bad reviews are by one person because anatomy is a hard class in general and they just think if they do the minimum theyll get a good grade then they dont and get mad, i took her class during the summer which is super hard but she did nothing but set us up for success if you dont study and put in effort thats not on her

one of the best professors ever, she gives you study guides, her lectures cover the topics on the tests, she gives chances for extra credit, in class which at first i didnt like but i realized how much it helped me was she made you talk and work with your group to discuss and help each other, every little thing she does helps you learn the material

She isn't as bad as reviews make her seem. She can be disorganized in lectures and she doesn't answer emails. She takes forever to submit grades!! You're graded only on exams. Other than that, she is welcome to questions in class and she has us review material in our groups. Everything we do in class is helpful in preparing you for the tests!

Sometimes her in-person lectures can get a bit confusing, so it's in your best interest to watch the videos on canvas. Anatomy is really hard, but I think she breaks it down well and is clear on what will be on the exams. There are many quizzes, which might be annoying, but it forces you to study which better prepares you for the major exams.

My favorite professor! I took both her Anatomy and Microbiology classes. You receive the grade you earn in her classes. The subject matter is dense and requires a lot of effort from the student, but she provides the information and the tools needed to be successful, the rest is up to the student. I just wish she taught Physiology!

Professor Rostamiani is so caring, knowledgeable, and respected. Anatomy is difficult class and much to memorize. However, she will actually help you learn. She might give additional information but that will help you be prepared for physiology class. Take her class if you are willing to study.

Look anatomy isn't easy, no matter who you take it with. You have to put in the work if you want a good grade. The people giving her bad reviews are the ones who didn't do every study guide or practice practicum. If you study you will pass. There is nothing on the exams that she doesn't mention in class or on the study guides.

Loved this prof! She provides every single detail and explains everything so well which most profs don't. I liked her class so much that I took her for Microbio as well. She's very understanding and always ready to help. Although the exams are a lot, she goes through everything, and it's all up to the student to memorize and learn the information.

Be prepared to study hard. Pay attention in class. Ask lots of questions. She will help you, but demonstrating effort is crucial. Study the practicum flashcards religiously and pay attention to whatever the potential essay questions

I cried so many times in this class and studied so much but honestly she was better at explaining the lectures than any bio prof I have taken that just reads of the screen. I loved her fun facts and she is very clear on what you need to study and the picture quiz was easy however she is very tough on written and essay questions.

You will hardly find a knowledgeable Professor like her. Her classes are difficult and test-heavy; however, you will end up with a ton of information, which you will never receive from other professors. Ask her any questions related to her lectures or diseases, and she will answer them. Take it with her only if you want to succeed.

I loved this course so much. My only issue is with how disorganized the study guides and videos were and how they weren't the best reflection of what could be expected on the exams. I found that to be frustrating and disappointing especially if I studied so hard only for many concepts to be left out entirely with a focus on very minute details.
