Well, she is very nice, but you can tell she is extremely new at teaching. She lectures all the time, and does not vary often for writing on the board and talking. But considering it is NGCSU and it is Biology she is fairly easy teacher. Study!!
She is very helpful and cares for her students. Her test are challenging but she offers study sessions that help. I really enjoyed the class
You can definitely tell she is a new teacher, but she is very willing to help you. Her tests are kind of hard, but she provides study sessions and will make time for the questions you have. I would highly recommend her!!
HAHA She is hot. Well let us focus on the important factors. She only test the stuff she lectures. It may seems boring at first but you will figure out how to pass her class. She is definitely the teacher worth taking. Her tests are tough but about the same compared to other Bio professors.
nice person but I didn't learn a thing from her. Be prepared to study hard if you want a B
To me, she is a good teacher. Her tests are hard, but as long as you study, you should pass. She offers study guides and study sessions for her class.
she is a great teacher. if you ever need help she would be more than happy to assist. i learned lot in her class
she is amazing. i had so much fun in her class. I liked the fact that she didnt lecture the whole time. She did a lot of group work and field trips. her tests are not that easy though, so dont think you an cruise through her class.
She is very sweet and helpful and the class is not really that hard. The only thing that i did not enjoy about it was all the articles we had to read, but i did learn a lot from those articles.
I love her!
She is really nice. However, since spring I have heard she has gotten to be really hard due to pressure from the heads. This class is not easy be prepared to study alot from the book and her notes.
Very helpful. She's always willing to have study sessions and you can drop by her office just about anytime. Also good about getting e-mails back, but not so good about getting grades back to you.
She is very helpful. Announces her quizzes, and helps you during office hours. She gives exam reviews and extra credit opportunities. Study hard and you'l pass.
Her teaching was very informative but very demanding. Honestly, I did not expect the quizzes and tests to be so demanding based on the lectures. However, she does announce her quizzes and tests and will help you. She does ask a lot, but gives good explanations. Study hard.
Great teacher! She will help you out whenever!
GREAT teacher. She is always willing to help after class if you need it. Ask questions if you don't understand because she will really try to make it clear for you. Quizzes are pretty hard, but they are helpful when studying for the exams. WONDERFUL lady! She won't be back until Fall 2007 though...
She is wonderful lady and a good teacher. She grades very strictly, but she is very flexible and always willing to help you out. I would take her again.
Mrs. Fadroski rocks!!! She is so sweet and she is a wonderful teacher. I highly recommend her. She does take her teaching seriously and she's not a pushover so you definitely have to study, participate, and pay attention. And attend class and lab!!!! But she is always willing to help and is very laid back. Just study and do what you have to do!!!!!
I Love Mrs. Fadroski!!! This class is so great! She is the sweetest woman! The class is really easy if you study and read the book it helps!
Prof Fradroski is a great teacher. She is definitely willing to help you out if you don't understand the material. Study! Read the book! And ASK QUESTIONS! she loves them. She goes over all the material in class so take good notes. And bring a spider to class she'll love it!
Awesome teacher! is always willing to adjust deadlines to help fit your schedule. very friendly and easy going. take her!
take her. cool teacher.
just because she knows the material, she thinks we automatically know it too
Good teacher and very nice. I recommend her and wish she taught more ecology classes.
wonderful teacher! Very down to earth, makes Ecology interesting and enjoyable. I learned a lot in this class, quizzes are similar to tests(just a lil harder). Note: check to make sure that she added all your points correctly...Sometimes miscalculations can make the difference of an A or a B. Otherwise, Awesome!!!
A very good teacher and nice person. I really like her laid back personality. I would take her again for another class.
It's a hard class, but she tells you exactly what you need to know for the tests and there are study guides online. She's a fantastic teacher.
She is a wonderful teacher. More than willing to clarify anything that is misunderstood. She will have class study sessions before the tests if you only ask! Hard tests, but if you study you will do fine! Not for lazy people! =)
She is a great and very laid back teacher. The class is challenging though and the test are very difficult if you dont start studying weeks ahead of time.
I've had her for Biology 1107/1108, Entomology, and Ecology and each time i leave her class, i feel like i've learned something that i actually care about. She has a raw talent for making you see her as an equal, this is what makes her a phenomenal professor. Her tests and quizzes are never surprises, i always knew what to expect.
Awesome. Go to class every day because this class is hard, but if you study you'll be OK!
It is biology 1108k so it is tough. We got behind b/c of snow days & never caught up, but she didn't hold it against us. She is nice and helpful. You must study everything, sometimes she puts questions on her tests that you don't know where she got them. Study & read for a B or A. One of the better 1107/1108 professors. Caters to all students!
I read great reviews about her before I took the class, but her short session summer class turned out to be overly time consuming. She is nice and laid back but I feel like she could have lightened the load A LOT. I was taking other classes after all, but I felt like I had to concentrate all my time on this class just to pass...I'm exhausted!!
I did not like this class as much as 1107 material-wise, but Fadroski is an AMAZING teacher. You don't have to read the book because she provides all the information you need in class. However, I'd recommend reading the book if you didn't comprehend something she said. LOTS of memorization in this class.
Very hard but if you work hard you will do fine.
Work hard and you will succeed! Fadroski is very very helpful.
If you did well in Dr. Hitt's 1107K class,and/or if youre a bio major, take Dr. Hitt again. Fadroski is good, but there is little visual learning in her lectures and she does not explain concepts as thoroughly and connect the dots and all that.
I love Mrs. Fadroski so much! Her class is very challenging but she is always there to help you out. Make sure you read the chapters in the book. Also, this class is slightly easier than her 1107 class, in my opinion.
Fadroski is a hard professor whose quizzes and tests are not worded very well. If you do not put down exactly what she is looking for in the way she would word her answer it is considered wrong. Going into this class I read reviews and thought just to study. No. You have to do more than just study for this teacher.
Fadroski is a pretty good teacher and a very helpful and kind person. However, she is really, really bad about clarity. She words things in lecture in ways that dont make a whole lot of sense. She does not engage the class at all. On tests she gives vague instructions and expects you to know exactly what she means.
She is awesome! She teaches slowly and clearly, and she is knowledgeable about the subject. Study for the tests and you can make a really good grade. I highly recommend her!
She is a good teacher but she always misspells things which makes it difficult for student to learn. Her lecture wasn't bad but the lab that went with the lecture was horrible. We had Dr. Webb. He didn't teach, he didn't do anything. His head is too far up his own butt to care about 1108 students. If you take her, make sure her husband isn't teaching the lab.
She is great in lecture for the most part. The exams and quizzes are sometimes unclear. You have to study for this professor. DO NOT take this class if Webb is the lab professor.
First class to use ViaResponse. It is a complete waste of a program. Dr. Fadroski expects us to listen to her lecture, copy what she has on her slides, and answer question on this ViaResponse.(Questions are open during class time). Also her quizes are vague. I feel she used vagueness as a safety net for her reasoning behind questions.
This class was very challenging.Fadroski is very interested in this subject, which is good, but she wants you to know everything down to smallest detail. She is very picky in lab and counts off alot for everything. This class requires alot of studying and memorization, which is extremely difficult when taking other classes.
Dr. Fadroski is a good professor. She's not the greatest, but I really do like her. It's a hard class, but if you study really hard, you'll do well. She's very picky about certain things, and it takes a lot for her to budge. She's very approachable though.
Great teacher, but hard in my opinion. Definitely need to study, especially the book. She will not cover the small details that she includes in tests and quizzes during lecture so you need to read the book. Good lab teacher also. Despite her difficulty I am taking her again for ecology.
Mrs. Fadroski is awesome! I took her for Entomology, and I could easily see that she was passionate about her subject. The course was intensive, but that's to be expected of a 4000 level class. She was very approachable, helping me with questions or identification. The projects and assignments are relevant and really help tie together all material.
Amazing professor! Beyond willing to help but the class is difficult. C'mon people college isn't suppose to be EASY! Its tough but when you learn her material, you remember it. Use the concept lists she gives and tape the lectures!
She is passionate about the subject. Her lectures are boring. Make sure you TAPE every lecture. Doesnt go over small details so must read every chapter you cover. Lab is very difficult she doesnt go into any detail so if you're not into learning things on your own i would not take her. Upside, will meet in office to explain any questions you have.
Mrs. Fadroski's lectures are among the most consistently entertaining of any professor I've ever had. She has a great sense of humor and engages with her students a lot--so much fun. However, she also had the most difficult course I've ever taken. If you're up to the task, take it, be be prepared to do a -lot- of studying if you want even a B.
I took ecology with Fadroski! It was difficult, and there was a lot of math involved. She gives you example problems and a "study guide" before quizzes and tests, so if you are willing to put in work, you'll easily pass.
I thought I was good at science... Turns out I was wrong... Her tests are ridiculous, and I end up studying the wrong information even with her study guide because it's so long. I would suggest taking someone else...
I had Fadroski for 1108K and 3500K, I got a C in both classes. I am normally an A-B student so getting a C was very shocking. I studied all the time and went to her office hours to make sure I was studying the right thing, but the tests are so difficult. She is a tough grader.
She's incredibly helpful and is fond of the students who work their tails off. Her tests are straight from the notes she writes on the board. It's a lot of information, but if you're willing to put in some work you'll do fine. It was an insanely rewarding class. Also, if you stop by her office hours you'll meet her tarantula :D
Fantastic professor! She is a great teacher, helpful in the office and cares about her students. Took her for Ecology and loved it. She writes her notes on the board, so following along and taking notes are especially easy. Her exams aren't difficult at all, if you know the material. You do need to study your notes.
If you love biology, don't take her. She can take something as fun as biology and make it the bane of your existence. She knows biology, she just can't relay information well. Take notes only for in class work, and just read your text book for the tests.
I really loved Dr. Fadroski, she was an amazing professor and the only reason I didn't do as well in the class as I would have liked it my own fault. I suggest that you read the chapter at the end of every chapter written of notes, and go over your notes at least once every day.
Mrs. Fadroski is the most knowledgable professor I have ever encountered. She makes herself more than available for her students. YOU HAVE TO PUT IN WORK. She posts "word and concept lists" for every chapter; DO THESE. Write down everything on the board/what she says. This class and Mrs. Fadroski reminded me why I chose to be a biology major.
Fadroski is one of my favorite professors at UNG. Her test can be tricky, and you will have to study a whole lot. She was always ready to help her students. I hope to take her again in the future. It isn't easy to make an A, but it can be done.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR AN EASY A. Fadroski is an amazing lecturer, makes class interesting, and is always willing to answer questions. STUDY STUDY STUDY. Tests are lecture heavy and the textbook is hardly ever used unless to clarify concepts. She provides study guides for tests and quizzes. She wants her students to do well.
Tests are super hard. Get started on projects early.
Not an easy A. Powerpoints are lengthy and does not expand much from what is on them. TESTS ARE HARD, but there is only 2 and the final. Consist of multiple choice, T/F, fill in blank, and short answer. Attendance is not mandatory but you miss a lot if you do skip. Quite a bit of homework. LOTS of projects even in her lab.
The tests are mostly based off lecture/powerpoints but she doesn't provide you with her powerpoints before tests. 5 projects that count for most of your grade. 3 tests that are multiple choice, T/F, short answer, & fill in the blank. Gives a lot of homework. I would not take this class ever again. Not fast with grading. Don't skip class either.
My biggest complaint would be that she doesn't use D2L, and there is no way to track your grades, so if she missed one or entered something incorrectly, you won't know until final grade is posted for the semester. Also, she never answered even one of the 4 or 5 emails I sent her with questions about the class assignments. Otherwise she's not bad.
Fadroski is one of the best professors i've had, she cares about her students and is willing to help or answer questions. She does lecture a lot but her lectures are pretty interesting. The tests are mediocre but she does give study guides. There are lots of projects but they aren't that hard. I highly recommend her!
Not great/not bad. She gives 5 easy projects and a lot of in-class work, which will help your grade tremendously, which will likely drop because her 3 exams are pretty hard (although she will curve them and gives study guides). The class involved more work than I expected for just another lab science core requirement though. An easy B with effort.
Dr. Fadroski is fantastic!! I really enjoyed taking ecology with her. She is a lot of fun. There is a good bit of math that goes on in lab but its nothing that you can't handle or ask her for help with. And she is more than willing to help you for as long as you need.
Fadroski is absolutely the best person at UNG. She is the most caring professor and cares about each student. Her class is all lecture, but she makes it interesting. Her tests can be tricky, but thats to be expected. She is absolutely the best professor I have had. I took her 3 times. She give me hope for this school. Take her and get to know her!
All you do is sit in class and listen to her ramble with no structure whatsoever. She writes on the board as she talks. She does not post any powerpoints or anything. She does not even use D2L (so you also never know your grade). Her tests are half multiple choice and half fill in the blank. She is an extremely tough grader... very specific.
Her labs are engaging and usually took place off campus which was really fun. If you work with a group and do the work during the lab, you wont have to do anything outside of class. If you pay attention to her instructions youll get an A on each lab. There is a final project but if you pace it over the semester youll get an A on the presentation
I would not recommend this teacher because of her lack of teaching ability. She basically summarized the book and then helps you with a chapter guide that has nothing to do with her quizzes or test. She also grades the labs down to every last word.
I liked this class: she is very organized and gives study guides and activities to help you study. If you go to her office, she'll spend as much time with you as you need (very patient and kind). Her tests are very difficult and she's a tough grader, and there are a lot of assignments, but she is fair and wants students to succeed. I recommend.
This class was difficult but she was a great professor. If you show up and try, you will get a good grade. All of her quizzes and tests were lockdown with a webcam so there was a lot of studying, but the PowerPoints always reflected what was going to be on the tests, so no surprises there! She was also very available to students who needed help!
Super friendly and helps you a lot in class. Lecture did have quizzes that were tough and used webcam, but she made lab fun and would help you out a lot on lab projects. I definitely recommend taking her class!
She makes a lot of her labs outside which is fun! Her lab is easy! BUT her lecture is SO boring. She lectures the entire class and is not interactive at ALL. Her quizzes are impossible even if you spend time on her study guides.
Awesome prof, understood that some units were going to be more difficult than others and prepared us accordingly. Would absolutely take this class or classes by her again. Regardless, some units are challenging and you will need to study hard on certain topics.
I love professor Fadrsoski! But you HAVE to study or else you will struggle! Her quizzes are tough and sometimes don't cover everything we need but as long as you attend class and study you'll be fine! She doesnt answer emails like she should so id go to her office hours! overall, very cool person!
As a person she is very kind and clearly loves what she does. But as a professor, constantly behind with emails and grading. The labs she makes fun and are easy, but lectures are SO BORING. No interaction with students, just straight lectures. Quizzes are hard no matter how much you study. This was a miserable course I cannot lie.
She is a tough grader! She is very helpful, and does try! She is a good professor overall!
Lots and lots of homework. Proctored exams
Shes an amazing person and professor. Attentive. One thing is, she's tough grader. It took a while to get my stuff back graded. There is module exams on lockdown browser. STUDY, you would only get like 1-2 weeks of break until you have another exam. Take advantage of office hours. Her exams are from her lectures, all posted online to study.
Amazing professor, rigorous workload/exams. Make sure to STUDY, listen to lectures. Exams are based off her lectures, she posts online. Take advantage of office hours, and there is like 1-2 week break before another exam. Labs are fun, lectures a bit boring. Very attentive. Does have a poorly written study guide, late but tough grader. Again STUDY
Easy class test are a little hard
DO NOT TAKE HER!! I took her environmental class because I needed one more science credit. There is a test every two weeks and they are SO HARD, even after the study guide. she's just plain rude. she requires so much from you and expects you to love the environment just as much as she does and if you don't she's not going to like you. i'd stay away
Dr. Fadroski works hard to provide recent and relevant of information. She coveys the information well, and as an ESL student, she was kind to explain to me things again and answer my dumb questions. I like that her test questions are word for word what is on her powerpoints, so there is no room for discussion. Effort is needed, but not crazy lot.
Amazing professor, the other reviews on how she is bad they are on something. Very chill class, the exam material is straight from her PowerPoints. Labs are also not hard at all and her content is actually interesting cause I'm not a science guy and I was intrigued by what she was teaching. Overall highly recommend I would take this class again.
RUN!! There are 5 EXAMS, not quizzes, throughout the semester, and they are all written and almost impossible to pass. You have literally have no time to study for your other classes because on top of the 5 exams, you also have 4 ID quizzes that require you to know the spelling of around 30-40 insects biological names at a time. Do not take!!!!
I loved this class because of how passionate and interesting the lectures were. The information you learn in there is interesting but it is very specific to Professor Fadroski's personal interests. If you take this class you cannot get by without studying for the exams (there are 8 and they are proctored). The labs are fun and usually outside!
