Very easy professor, because you don't learn anything under an unskilled and disrespectful professor. Chemistry professors project ChatGPT solutions on the projector and he supports it by telling student to withdraw if you don't like the way she teaches. Faculty has no shame. Why not fire all faculty and employ AI. Rather AI will help us succeed.

He is setting a wrong example by instilling fear in students' minds by telling them that he would sabotage a student's career through his connections with medical schools in NC. I had to listen to this too and I will say this is awfully unethical and wrong of him to do. Shame on Meredith postbac program.

Would take again

Great class and professor! Very good at making you starve during class because there are no lunch breaks in his summer classes. Also, he is a GREAT advertiser of coffee. He'll teach you how to increase gastric juice in your stomach by drinking excess coffee to keep yourself up and not eat lunch before class. He teaches humanity through his actions.

He made biochem harder than the course actually is. The course is not difficult if a good teacher teaches it in a way that a student will understand it. But his instruction makes it worse. Not recommended for biochem.

An hour before the exam, he asks if printing the questions would help since they won't appear in continuity with options on screen. With 16 years of mentoring experience, shouldn't he know what's best? Instead of taking students' opinions on trivial things, he should ask why students find the chemistry faculty hard to understand.

He and the dean don't care if you understand courses or not. It's a chain reaction - Students' understanding of the concepts is not ensured by the instructor- do bad/fail the course- retake the course- postbac program makes 2X the money for each course. So it benefits their pockets.

When I explained I'm unable to practice or understand chem before I can produce in tests, he told me a C or D is okay as long as I learn the concepts by the end of the sem. Later, he said I need to do my best to earn a constant A. His guidance feels inconsistent and dismissive. It's disappointing when an advisor can't hear what they're saying.

Literally was never taught to solve passage type questions for mcat although promised before coming to the program. Waste of money, time and energy. Postbac program is deceptive at Meredith college. Please don't apply here or you will waste your money without learning anything useful.

forget about Cs and Ds; I was told not to focus on grades at all! He said in class, just learn the concepts and forget the MCAT for now. He said to focus only on completing the program. Why aren't we focusing on MCAT now, and when are we expected to start MCAT practice? Why were we told on day 1 that there would be a focus on MCAT?

The person below me has no idea what they're talking about. MANY post bacc students AND UNDERGRADS (I know this because I'm an undergrad) had bad experiences with this professor's “teaching” and rote memorization. I earned an A because of my own effort. The professor didn't help me or my classmates. You can do well and still not like the prof.

The person below me is a student who graduated already so they think everyone else on here recently graduated or completed the post bacc too. Should you be applying to med schools instead of thinking your experience should define everyone else's?? You have no right to invalidate MANY people's experiences cause yours was good. Go work on your apps

There's a certain post bacc from the 2024 cohort with no life who comes on here daily to defend Dr. A. Ignore them. As a student from the 2025-26 cohort, he's not kind or understanding at all. It's possible his rules changed because the 2024 cohort was a bunch of failure cheaters who don't belong in med school but he's harsh on us cause of that

“I have never had a bad experience with him“. Gee thanks. Since you didn't have a bad experience, you can just go ahead and invalidate the 90 something other students who did and are currently doing so, right??? Pathetic

“I have never had a bad experience with him.” It's good you're privileged and had money to waste on a scam post bacc, but not everyone can afford Cs and Ds in gen eds. He doesn't teach. Teachers are supposed to teach and test understanding of the material. I agree classes require memorization but he ONLY tests memorization. Not understanding.

I'm sharing this so other students can make an informed decision. When I visited campus and asked about the postbac program, even an on-campus employee seemed hesitant and suggested looking elsewhere. I've also heard ongoing concerns about the faculty and program administration, with many students feeling misled.

His advice keeps changing on grades, understanding, and expectations, which creates confusion rather than clarity. We all work hard, but we also need guidance on how to work in the right direction. He lacks practicality, consistency. Anyone can mentor for years, but the quality of that mentorship is the real question.

When students FAIL, he and Dr. O blame us, and when we SUCCEED, the PROGRAM takes ALL THE CREDIT for it! So basically, this fall, I learned that they cannot take honest feedback from students, they wanna hear good things about themselves. But they need to do things in the best interest of a student's learning. Not leave them helpless.
