He verbally changed his syllabus in favor of the students, and then when final grades came along he went by the original syllabus which dropped everybody two grades, for example i earned a c- and he gave me a D. He is the biggest loser, stay away!!!!
he's not a good prof at all. i don't know why universities hire profs like these. man, universities don't care about us. it's all just a big business to them. i advise not taking him!
One of the worst teachers at Wayne State.
good prof. just go to class everyday, he gives you hints about everything thats is going to be on the tests, study those hints and tests are easy
very mean proffessor, doesnt know how to teach, he is hard and heartless and his tests are too complicated its like you are studying what is the moon made off. dont take a class with him
dr padu is weird: yes, he gives tons of hints for exams and extra credit, but he is totally subjective when grading. his exams are so hard (get old ones) and if you are one of his favorites, then you get an A. ps - he doesn't make any sense in class!
Class seems really awkward... U would b writin down a note off the projector & then all of a sudden he would stop, tell you a life story for 20 min, then say a lame joke, but notice that he's off track and try to make the story relate to physics. Weird...
Dr. Padu's tests are ridiculous. There is not enough time to finish them and he grades very subjectively. He takes random points off for whatever he feels like. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS
Padu - I believe he is by far the worst professor at Wayne State. He makes you think he wants to help but when you actually go to his office he is rude and intimidating. His lectures are not clear and his exams are too hard and too long. DO NOT take his class if you want to pass w/ a GOOD GRADE!
The WORST teacher at Wayne State by far, I am a very good student and I absolutely HATE this class not to mention that he is contradictory to the book and it is extrememly hard! Don't Take This Class! You will ruin your GPA
UGHHHHHHHHHHHH he is driving me crazy!
Dr. Padu is EXTREMELY hard. I have never done so bad in such a course...EVER!!! He is confusing, difficult, and crams in too much. His tests are so hard that you will need nearly a month of studying. BE CAREFUL!!! I recommend not taking him at all!!!
TOO MANY NOTES!!!! everyday, at least 5-7 pages off of overhead! also way too much material for exams. PADU: We have other classes!!
Not good at ALL. You will not be able to understand one single word that comes out of his mouth. Sorry. You would learn more if you go to a foreign country where you don't speak one single word.

He wasn't as hard as everyone suggested. He gives lots of extra points on exams, and gives you test questions in class. He *IS* rude, but I think he's attempting to be funny. Overheads were provided online for study later as well as practice tests.
Hes a good teacher...Don listen to these whinners....This is collage get used to it you idiots...He makes you work and because you are working hard, youll be prepared for the next class or your pcats mcats etc...His exams are a bit tricky but he gives alot of extra credit....
Dr. Padu teaching format is horrible. He teaches different from the book and his test are nothing like either one.
Padu is extremly rude and never adds quiz points like he says he is going to...then when you question him about it during office hours he calls you a cheater. I do not think he is very fair, especially with grading.
Do not trust the person who rated Padu on 11/29/04 - first of all Padu is HARD.. and not because he is trying to teach you and prepare you because he can't TEACH plain and simple. Plus don't trust anyone's opinion when they can't even spell COLLEGE.
Duties as a student unclear. Lectures go so fast, hard to keep up. He thinks he's a comedian sometimes. Wears a wig.
This is pretty much a "teach yourself" physics class, since lectures don't help at all. I did well, but I agree that he is unfair, rude, unclear about grading, lies about adding quiz grade points, and uses the word "obviously" in every sentence. He doesn't get that the material is not obvious to us
terrible teacher. had him for quiz too and he couldn't even do the homework. figuring out homework on your own is a must. i would reccomend taking another teacher if you plan to go on to 2185. he makes it more difficult than it actually is.
lmao. The comment on 11/26 is padu. Only a guy who cant talk english would pronounce the word don't as "don". Give it a break padu. Learn how to teach then come back and rate yourself. He'll give you a false sense of hope the first week, so beware.
Every single person that talked**** about padu are the future bums of america...they want the "A" to come to them easily without doing anything and then they tell u they wanna be doctors or lawyers. If you cant even pass a general physics class, how will u be able to treat patients!
I got a good grade, but I am NOT taking him again. Exam problems were unclear and time-consuming. He had us redo an exam because most of the class failed. Go to SI sessions and study problems in the book and you may do well. He announces extra credit quizzes in advance.
Don pay attention to these ididiots....In collage you have to study morons...youll have to work for your grade...Hes a good teacher and very handsome too...study and stop complaning like bums...
very gruff manner, but pretty clear prof. people complain more for cultural differences than anything else...
an excellent teacher. I would recommend him again n again. Just study n ulll get a good grade :)
I agree...The class is not an easy A, but I am taking the MCAT and put it this way, I don't have to study for the physics section. He makes you actually learn the concepts instead of memorizing problems...learn a lot, study hard
This guy is not easy at all...but we're in college now children. I got a great grade (A) by doing more work than I anticipated...but isn't that what the rest of the road is going to be like anyways? Do your work, study, don't talk in class like a knucklehead, act like a "grown-up" and you'll be OK.
very sexy profesor..i enjoy seeing prof teach.knows physics good-i got a c sp im hppy!..
The main reason I left Wyane State
I did my undergraduate work at Wayne and this is the only professor I found to be less then adequate. Note:Helpfulness 4 because he is willing to.
Oh my goodness! I'm glad I made it. His class was suppose to be introductory but he tested us like we were in graduate school. He's a friendly guy, but he should only be allowed to teach graduate classes only. He wants you to know every detail.
He was a terible teacher!
Don't be fooled by his overall bad ratings, I had Dr. Padu for 2130 as well and he has eased up alot since then. He gives lots of EC and even lets you make-up bad test scores. His office is always open so you can always go to him for help
very good at explaining what we need to know for exam
With all the bonus he gives, it is almost impossible not to get an A unless you are a retard like half of this school is who claim they want to become doctors...ya right.
man know his physics. half school retarded, other half smart. you do math.
Terrible!
he's a good teacher, though the class is hard. however, he is very helpful and is available to help with any questions. test questions are based on the practice problems, so if you understnad those, you're all set!
wow... he was just to difficult...he would write test questions that would be very vague...he'd leave out key parts of exam questions... talked more about his wife and how men should deal with women than physics on some days....
a horizontal force applied at 30 degrees
Very hard teacher. Talks too fast and can't stop talking about her wife. Run or drop while you still can.
horrible teacher, he cant teach when i would ask for help he would confuse me more,he doesnt help you in preparing you for exams, he expects you to be a physics professor and learn everything on your own
If you want an easy A take it with Talagala. If you want to work hard and come out a better person take it with Padu. He gave out ec for attending class, gave out bonus quizzes, let us make up exams if we did bad, and is counting our quiz sections as ec. The class average is bad, but he did do review section for the final which helps a lot.

The worst teacher I have had at wayne state!!!!!
He managed to take the physics I learned in HS and make it hard. He could learn to use reasonable problems on his exams instead of cramming way too long of an exam in a 1 hour period. He now refuses to let anyone contact him regarding their grade. The extra credit he supposedly gives out is not apparent in my score and I have no way to question it.
this guy will make you try. even though it was only astro he manages to really force you to know your stuff. he really like to hear himself speak and his favorite word is "essentially." overall a nice guy but a hard teacher.
To the person who felt compelled to comment on Padu eventhough he/she has never taken him, just to let you know, you actually do learn in his class if you want an "A" bad enough. Padu is not easy, but if you work hard and make sure you understand everything you will do fine.
this guy is the hitler of physics, however one of the things he forces you to do is to develope good study habits. he is funny and leaneant and mainly knows what he is talking about, he helps a lot my grade was D at first and i was able to get an A at the end. he is a real challenge don't be scared if you are strong enough, dr padu i love you!
Dr. Padu was a good guy and was willing to work with people on their grade. If you are willing to spend the time reading the book and doing extra problems(which most people probably didnt do) you will get an A. Good Class, good material...but the sections on optics SUCK!!
This is a very typical INDIAN professor... Indians like challenging stuff and so does this guy. Makes stuf easy to undertand
He is really easy when it comes to grading.... As long as you attend his lectures you will pass.
the key to getting a better grade is being friendly with him and talking to him, visiting during office hours, etc. also his exams are based on the examples in class and practice problems, so GO TO CLASS and try to do the problems or go to quiz section. i deserved a B+ but he gave me an A- because i would visit him in office hours!
His exams are impossible!!!!!!!!! Nothing like homework or examples from class. He lectures fast, so it's hard to take in all the information. He is a nice guy, but does it matter when you fail all his exams to the point where he doesn't pass you? I think not.
the coolest teacher in the world along with another Indian dude, Mr. Pandya. Indian Teachers rock at WSU. Indians are the greatest and the smartest in the world
he knows his stuff but that does not mean anything. Does not know how to teach a class. Pulls up his horrible powerpoints, recites them at an unreasonable speed, seems to get irritated when someone asks a question. I spent too much time on this class and only got a B+ when the class average for the class was around 60 percent the entire semmester.
He knows is stuff, but he is horrible at explaining it. He was merely a TA in my class (idk if he's moved up in rank or not) and acted like he was the professor. He never gave bonus points and gave bogus quizzes and handouts.
All I'll say "He is an average prof". Loves to talk to students and so go head and talk to him. Likes students who go to his office hours and talk to him!:) Gives a lot of extra credit.
You have to work your ass off for the grades. He makes hw assignments manditory instead of working at your own pace, and grades them. Depending on how busy you are you could do this, but most people take this class with other classes. If you are going to take this class, dont' take it with anything important. He can be a whack job at times too.
gives extra credits. gives you the chance to correct your exam and get 20 points extra. webassign hw were easy. his exams consists of 10 exercices. not a fair grader. i heard he curves big time, still didn't post the grades. attendance is mandatory; chooses to circulate an attendance sheet on random days. take him, he s not bad. He s got the funnie
Padu is a really nice guy. He grades very hard, his exams are extremely hard, enough to confuse another professor, (it happened) I never came close to finishing one. He gives a lot of extra credit to try to make up for it. I would choose another prof if you can. If not go to his office as much as possible.
Dr. Padu is not as difficult as he is said to be. In the end, he will give you the grade you deserve. He is a very social man, and his class is somewhat fun. The class was structured so that the best would get the A. Make sure you get perfect on all webassign problems and do all the bonus. I would only recommend him to A-level students.
This class was ridiculously easy. The homework on WebAssign is easy, the quizzes in quiz class are easy, the exams are easy and we're up to our heads in bonus points. It's impossible to have anything lower than an A. As an added bonus to the class being easy, Dr. Padmanabhan is hilarious. He tells stories all day.
Although I didn't recieve a great grade in this class, Dr.Padu was very helpful and gave me a grade better than what i deserved because I worked hard. Visit him and get to know him. it will pay off
An overall nice guy. Often goes off topic. His exams are quite challenging and requires you to know the content very thoroughly. He gave out extra credit for our class. Physics is pretty philosophical and very hard to grasp, if you find yourself struggling just remember to take the concepts as they are and not to understand it entirely.
Really hard to understand.
Do not take this guy. He makes it mandatory to attend class, but it's all lecture slide lecture slide and he ends up posting all the slides on blackboard. Don't buy the book because you don't need it. He's so unorganized and changes his mind and the contradicts the syllabus all the time. I was interested in Astronomy until this class.
He is an awful professor for what was supposed to be an intro level astronomy course. He was teaching the class like it was a graduate level physics class. He's obviously very smart and knows the subject matter, but didn't prepare for each class individually his slides were at least 4 years old & reused with way too much info per slide.
Dr. Padu is a great guy on a personal level, but as far as teaching he should not be a professor. In lecture everything will seem like it is fine, but when you get to the test you feel like you didnt learn anything. If it is your first time taking physics definetly take it with someone else!
If you see his name on schedule, run away. DO NOT take him. He's horrible. Sucks at teaching. Yells at his students. His exams are tough. And oh, one thing, when he does his reviews, his exams are NOTHING at all like the reviews. He is a big fat liar. Misguides the students. And oh, he tries to be funny, but REALLY sux at it lol horrible jokes too
Cool guy. Can't teach. There is no point to go to class but he makes his students come because he has a sign in sheet. The reviews he gives are nothing like his exams. I can't complain that much because i barley tried and got a B+
Prof. Padu is horrible. He took over for our ill professor, who had written our past 3 exams. I had to hire a tutor once he took over, he cannot teach. Padu was in charge of writing our final and it was ridiculous! It was a different from our previous exams. The review for the exam was misleading. Overall just avoid him!
His class is hard, but he is an amazing guy. If you do every homework problem before each exam and master them and you will be golden for all exams. Everyone claims his exams are so hard but if you study properly you'll be fine. Lecture is not crucial for exams, except his samples problems. Focus on those and homework and you'll get at least a B
I loved this class and Dr. Padu is awesome! His lectures are so fun and I seriously miss his class.
He said that he determines your grade at the end of the day not your exams. So if you go talk to him, attend class, and just put in effort you can do well:)
Dr. Padu is a very interesting man who is extremely passionate about physics and, more importantly, teaching. He genuinely cares that his students are understanding the concepts he's teaching. His exams are tough, but he throws a nice curve at the end of the semester as well as a good amount of extra credit. Highly recommended.
Best physics prof at WSU. Tons of EC and even partial redo's on exam q's you got wrong. I have never had such an enjoyable class. His exams are not terribly hard once you understand how he does his exams. And all the EC should be more than enough to give you a boost! Take him (only if you willing to do some studying). not easy A but will learn alot
Dr. Padmanabhan is an excellent professor. The material might be challenging at times, but he really goes over all of the material in depth and makes sure that you understand it. His exams can sometimes be tricky, but he offers extra credit (up to 15 points) before each exam, including the final! Overall, excellent professor. Highly recommend.
Makes you do a ton of extra credit work and he does not count any of it. He does not prepare you well for the departmental final exam at all. Very unhelpful and never available. Study on your own. A lot.
Friendly professor in class, but his exams are very tough. Offers partial regrades so definitely do those. Claims to be lovable but seems like he's trying to get rid of you when you go to office hours. The other professor was a lot easier is what I heard.
Best professor ever! Makes you love physics and actually interested in the subject matter. For once, I had a professor that actually cared that students learn and not worry about grades. Work hard and you will get the grade you deserve! Also, he gives extra credit and definitely visit his office hours if you have concerns about your grade!
Very cool guy and an excellent professor. He's very passionate about what he teaches, and really kept me on the edge of my seat in lecture. As far as grading, there was A LOT of help to get your grade higher, including exam regarded that boost your grade a ton. Glad I had him for a tough course
It's a hard class but he does try to get everyone a good grade. Exam averages are still low which is why he offers EC and partial regrades. Not too many hw assignments. He does notes via chalk board so you have to go to class. Our class is behind the other classes by 2 weeks on the material. He does pass around an attendance sheet too.
Dr Padu is really great at showing how to work problems since he does most of his lecture on the board, which is something a lot of physics professors don't do. He answers questions in class and is extremely approachable if you have a problem. He gives extra points on tests and hands out extra credit before exams. I highly recommend taking him!
Dr. Padu was a great professor for reasons already mentioned. However, he doesn't curve. He makes up for this with ALL the extra credit he offers and with exam corrections. Visit him in office hours because he will bump your grade up if you do. He loves sharing stories and giving life lessons in class. Great guy. Wants you to do well.
After having Padu for physics and hearing about how he compared to other professors I have to say he is the best choice for any prospective student. He is enthusiastic about the subject and each day you will leave class feeling like you have learned something new.
Took PHY 2130 with him and I am taking 2140 as well. He is fair professor who offers test corrections on top of a generous curve. (80% is still a B+). The only people who don't do well are those who sit in the back on their phone all day and expect to be "given" a good grade.
Karur is very funny and great at teaching. He always has enjoyable stories to tell the class and has a charming personality. He makes physics easy and fun to learn. Lectures are posted online after class and attendance is highly important as he always hints at exam problems. He is very sociable and loves to chat, so stop by his office when free.
He encourages a group work, although i don't want to work with others on a project. not always. He usually read his slides, and we need to follow it too. Sometimes, too much work. He is fine professor, but need to think about alternative way t teach... :)
Dime Show
Very hard teacher that doesn't explain well. His exams were unfairly hard
I found the Webassign part of the class to be extremely helpful and I enjoyed being in his class because I felt he really helped me understand physics more, he did good at that. It was a bit entertaining to. Now, how to "do it" though, for me, I mainly learned for myself. I was super glad at the end. Oh, if you get him mad, he might 'fight' youbak.
Dr. Padmanabhan was awful as a professor. He was very unclear in his lectures and often provided us with incorrect formulas. This was by far the hardest class I've taken. His exams were too long and nearly impossible to finish on time without being an expert in the topic. If you want to entertain yourself, count how many times he says "obviously"
disappointment. disorganized. will not take his class.
Honestly he is probably the worse professor Ive had in a long time. He gives wrong formulas on formula sheets. Takes time out of his lecture to talk about his day and then decides he has to get through the material and speeds thru lecture material. Decides to not explain certain problems he gives that will be test. Honesly the list goes on..
He gives lots of opportunity to get extra credit but you will not get the points for it, he either neglects to grade it or input it in. His lectures are rarely helpful but generally enjoyable, he cant stay on topic very well. Exams were okay in difficulty. Homework and discussion are the only way you're really going to learn the material.
I struggled with Dr. Padu. There's minimal practice problems that are pre-worked out. I never saw him actually solve a problem. They say study the slides, however, I did & still struggled. His generosity with EC is redeeming. He encourages office hours but rushes you out. Partial credit on exams is only if you want him to grade your test by hand.
His exams are pretty fair. He tells you what to expect. the final tho is departmental so its extremely hard and most people fail it. He doesn't really work out problems in class. He does give ec but thats because so meant people are failing. Webassign was hell. Try to go to SI sessions.
Don't take his class. Big mistake. He is the worst prof I've ever had.
Dr. Padu is a great ghaay, but he is pretty disorganized. His lectures get off topic, and the questions he provides during discussion are awful-hardly any of them make sense. He obviously needs to become a little bit more organized to help with comprehension.
Dr. Padu is the most unorganized professor. He spends 49 minutes of class doing derivations and for the last minute he explains the concepts, starts a problem, and tells you to finish it on your own. He is a nice man and well respected but not good at teaching this class.
Spends 95% of class deriving equations, and you don't ever get any example problems. He HAS lecture slides but never uses them in class. When he posts them it's usually complicated problems with solutions you can't read, or just answers with no explanation. You won't know what to study and exams are ridiculously hard. averages around 50% on exams.
Do not. He just starts lecturing and doesn't explain what topic or chapter you're on, doesn't do any examples only concepts. The tests are ridiculously hard, even my TA said it was insane to expect us to know the material so well so fast. Tests are super hard to finish; especially on a final where 1 question had 13 parts. Take class at comm college
His tests are long to solve; in a 50 minute lecture he comes up with at least 20 new equations every day and does not take the time to explain and solve problems in class. Exams are long and a tough grader. Average for exam were high 50's.
The most disorganized class I have ever taken. Padu keeps going off on stupid stories instead of actually teaching us. This is an example of a "tell, don't show" class. Instead of showing us how to do something, just tell us.
The man simply doesnt know how to stay organized and on topic. Explains concepts but does not demonstrate them to the fullest
Professor does not update materials and expectations are not clear. This class is rough.
Absolutely terrible class. I dont think he showed us how to solve one problem the entire semester. Discussion sections are pointless. Lots of homework. Randomly gives online quizzes. Awful at updating canvas. I literally went into the final not knowing if i had an A or a D. The worst professor and class Ive had at Wayne. ruined my 4.0 GPA.
More than half the class failed. Take it with a different professor
Absolute trash professor. He will not grade your assignments when it serves him, and is the least approachable person I have known throughout college. He unapologetically and egotistically steps on the student experience to advance his career. Avoid this professor if you want something different.
The worst professor at Wayne State
Would not take again
This professor only cares about his research and it shows. Does not care about students and puts in a disgustingly minimal amount of effort. Physics 2 has been a dream because I have a professor who responds to emails, looks at me when I speak, and and has some trace of empathy in regard to teaching. Avoid this professor in all ways.
the worst class i have ever taken. yes its that bad. he is terribly disorganized which makes its difficult to follow along or even understand. try avoid this professor
Horrible. do yourself the favor, and avoid this professor You will literally hate physics for the rest of your life. I am still cursing Issac Newton to this day. Dont take this professor. You'd think he would be more caring since its an online class and COVID and all that but NOPE.
The exams were easier than the other Physics 1 & 2 prof. Gave a lot of EC, the exams were multiple choice and exactly like the problems in the slides. The only downside is that you won't know your grade until the end of the semester.
One of the worst professors Ive ever had. You dont know your grade at all until the final grade is posted to Academica. Unreachable, never responded to a single one of my emails all semester.
His lectures are difficult to follow and he does not grade the work you do on tests, only the answers you provide
Karur Padmanabhan is without question the worst teacher I have ever had in all my years of schooling. It is absolutely impossible to accurately rate him in just 350 characters as I have tried several times to rewrite my original rating, so I will keep it short and sweet: I am legitimately baffled and concerned that he is still teaching. Avoid!
Probably the worst professor at WSU. Terrible technical skills, couldn't be on time or work his computer. Lectures were horrid, fast, and incomprehensible. Tests were impossible and he gave no time to do them, YOU CANNOT SUBMIT SHOWN WORK ON TESTS!!! Delusional man, never available, no curves, bad grader, difficult class and bad curriculum.
Lots of spelling errors when typing post lecture quizzes He cuts off in the middle of his zoom sessions Doesn't respond timely with emails Wayne State students are extremely intelligent but, he makes them feel the opposite.
This is not an easy class be prepared to do lots of studying in addition to webassign, discussion work, and lecture quizzes. Grades for the discussion were never posted. He gives test corrections rather than curving. You cannot get partial credit on the exams because you cannot submit work. The key to the exams is to practice, practice, practice!
This professor has tests/exams/quizzes with unclear questions, sometimes impossible to comprehend while never teaching how to actually learn each individual formula. He is also hard to understand and makes his entire class based on how well you do on exams only.
Exams are nothing related to lectures, discussions, homework, etc. Man pulls stuff outta nowhere and sucks at teaching. He provides a syllabus but expect most things to go the way he wants it to, no clear picture to provide for students of his plans/intentions. He has some post lecture quizzes which is quizzed on things he teaches you afterward.
Absolutely the worst professor I have encountered in the STEM department, doesn't really teach well and his exams are so hard and lecture and discussion doesn't do anything for you besides provide you the basics and formulas. Don't take him unless there's no other better option. Seems nice but should reconsider his methods of many things.
He absolutely is the worst professor I had ever taken at WSU. He doesn't even put in the minimal effort in teaching. Exams are nothing like the homework or slides. Class is extremely disorganized.
Lectures contain hard-to-read handwritten slides, and he takes forever to explain them. For exams, he rewords questions from the homework but does it terribly (ex: poor grammar, the equations become hard to understand, etc.) most of the time the answer isn't even an option. Formula booklets don't have all of the formulas needed.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! This professor has no clear grading policy, the material on the exam is never discussed in lecture, and no practice problems are given out. The highest grade on the final was a 70%. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT TAKE.
Don't take this class. He talks to fast, unorganized, won't help you, and the homework and tests a hard. He never shows us how to do the problems. You're just kind of alone. I have almost had multiple break downs trying to do the work. It's like he expects us to know exactly what he is talking about when seeing it for the first time. HORRIBLE PROF!
This is the worst professor at Wayne State University. He does not help at all. You are totally alone in the class; his lecture slides are terrible, and homework has nothing to do with the test. His practice problems, if he even gives some, do nothing for the exam. Worst teacher do not take!
Super disorganized and stress inducing class. Prof changes how he grades and what is going on every other class leaving everyone confused. His lectures aren't that useful because he spends to much time reading equations and going on tangents to actually explain the how anything works. Never gives back exams to hide his inconsistent grading.
Taking this class was both interesting but weird. Pretty easy but professor constantly talks in a fake English accent. Funny up front but gets old by the 10th "pip pip cheerio" reference. Also, he knows every word to the 90s hip hop song "Poison" and will make sure you do too by the end. He's easy on the eyes which is a bonus.
do not take him you will suffer for it
One of the worst professor's EVER. Class is so unorganized; his lectures conclude with him reading off of the slides; if you ask a question during a lecture, he will laugh at you. There are so many typo's on post-lecture quizzes & exams. The homework has nothing to do with the class, but very few of the examples given in lecture are on the exams.
he is so bad. his slides are horrible; you don't need half the content he puts on them but need all the content he doesn't put on them. he randomly assigns quizzes due within 24 hours. he cold calls. his exams are not hard, they are impossible. he's kind and passionate about the topic, so I feel kind of bad, but dear God, he needs to retire.
Makes up grading as he goes. Funny guy though.
This man was the reason my GPA tanked. His exams were extremely difficult and half the content wasn't covered before.
