Mr. Baker is a young teacher, very nice, friendly and easy to approach. Willing to help, gives out extra credit. Not a big fan of the death by power point, but the videos are very helpful.

Mr. Baker quickly turned into my favorite professor when I realized he had a great sense of humor and had the ability to tie that into the subject. I've came to the conclusion that he's actually an immortal who has done everything in his field, because he seems young but has tons of experience. Anyways take him, he's an easy grader, enough said.

Really interesting professor and class. Has done a lot in the political world so he certainly knows his stuff. Pretty funny and shows political things from shows such as the Colbert Report to make things more enjoyable. Seems down to earth and understands young people better than a lot of professors.

I am not super into politics but Mr. B made them sound somewhat interesting. Loved that he had a good sense of humor. Understanding professor, stays on his game and expects students to do so as well. Review sheets would have been helpful before midterm since he doesn't test often, power-points get dull sometimes but he added interesting videos.

Prof. B is a caring, intelligent teacher. A 100 Am. Gov. class can get slightly dull but he kept things interesting by incorporating modern and relevant issues into the subject matter. Good intentions but his lectures too closely follow the book and grow tired. Study guides for tests would have been helpful as well as more time to complete papers.

Great guy, super funny. He is incredibly smart and good at teaching. It may be tough material, but he makes it a lot more interesting and easier to understand. If you don't really know anything about government starting out, this is the definitely teacher you want!

Mr. Baker is a good introduction into the Political Science arena. Overall, he likes to tell it like he's seen it as an environmental lobbyist in Washington DC. That said, there were a few times he assigned something with little notice or the class didn't perform well for a quiz. But he would work with you, if you put forth the effort.

Kasey was an amazing professor. He made his class fun. He didn't talk down on us he talked at a level of connection. He really tried to engage us by showing us videos related to our topic even funny ones. His class all though it was political science was my favorite class.

The class was pretty great, He made it fun to come to his class, the lectures where fun to listen to, and not to mention the great informative clips that are filled with the incredibly funny videos In all he's a great teacher the only draw back is He probably doesn't eat bacon.

This has been a really fun class to take and I would highly recommend taking it with Kasey because he helped get everyone involved in the class materials and allowed for/encouraged lively debate. Really funny teacher and made class exciting to attend.

Show up, participate in class, and take notes and you should be alright. Some of the smaller quizzes have questions that pissed me off because I was in class taking notes every day and still got them wrong, but the rest of the work made up for it. He gives pretty solid lectures and from time to time lets Jon Oliver or Stephen Colbert explain things

Baker made this class enjoyable and teaches with a sense of humor. He is open to listen to everyone's point of view and does not degrade anyone's particular political viewpoint. It is a must to take notes and always be attentive to lecture. The midterm is difficult, but he gives a lot of extra credit. I would recommend this class to others.

One of the most exceptional and engaging teachers at AB tech, if you do the reading, watch the videos and get involved in discussion, you will leave a much more politically, social and morally aware person.

I have a lot of complications that make going to class difficult and he was the most accommodating and understanding teacher I've ever had. He made me work hard and didn't pity me but he was always willing to discuss my options and work with me. He taught me a lot and made me feel like a normal, intelligent student. He's the best teacher I've had.

There are many papers in this course but they are well explained, you know ahead of time when you will be given a quiz or test. Very helpful and allows everyone to be engaged in the class. He will work with you as long as you do the work and you show up. Fun and interesting class with a great instructor who is knowledgeable about the topics.

Mr. Baker teaches the only class I look forward to this semester. He is a very enjoyable teacher, and there is no reason you shouldn't pass his class if you put in the time.

Essays are challenging for the level of the course, and make up large parts of grade. Quizzes are not very straightforward. Fun class, engaging teacher. Replies to emails quickly, and allows for lots of extra credit, and can proofread papers before the deadline.

Prof B Is honestly one of the most down to earth professors at the school. I always left class with much food for thought and even more drive to make a difference in my community and the world. He's a gem of an instructor and is one of the most inspirational ones I have yet to have. 10/10 would totes recommend to a friend.

A fun class. The first 15-20 minutes is spent talking about recent news, the next hour or so is lectures (talking with slides and videos). Homework is mostly videos, but includes three papers each worth enough to sink your grade dramatically (I should know). Teacher is open to communication and understanding as long as you talk to him beforehand.

Take this class you will have a great time and learn a lot about the government.

Was very energetic through out the semester. Had additional help for students that needed it. Wasn't a heavy grader and didn't give much work but if you didn't do the work than you wouldn't pass.

He was an awesome teacher. His vocabulary was my favorite.

For the most part, you will never be bored in class. Not a lot of homework, 2 major papers, a handful of videos, and a few quizzes. Need to be in class for lectures. He is transparent about what will be on tests and quizzes.

Awesome class, love the John Oliver videos, documentaries, and Vice News excerpts. Hilarious but poignant and accurate presentation of information, very charismatic lecturer. Overall an engaging, thought-provoking class. Really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone taking POL 120!

Great semester with a great professor. It helps to keep informed with foreign and domestic policies. Always have new news ready to share at the beginning of class; best part of class. He makes understanding international relationships between different countries easier. Knows his stuff. Would recommend this class to anyone!!

Fair teacher without too much work.

It's hard for me to rate him really. As far as teachers go he's great. He doesn't give a lot of homework, everything he lectures about you can go over again online, open book tests and quizzes, has a good teaching style and he's pretty fun. I just find it hard to rate him because I heavily disagree with his view on politics. Otherwise he's alright.

Kasey holds a great class, the lectures are meaningful and honest. He gives good feedback and is very clear on what he looks for in projects or papers which is very helpful when learning a tough topic. He is constantly laughing with the students and making learning a pleasant and knowledgeable experience.

Mr. Bakers class was a great way too start my morning. If you are interested in political science or want to know more about the subject I would recommend this class.

Lecture heavy but hardly any homework so it balances out

Baker is awesome. If you want to know, understand and discuss what's actually going on in the world right now (as much as possible at least, this isn't a psych class and honestly psychiatrists may be the best ones to explain politics at this point.),and understand the faulty structure that we are working with, take this class!

He's an outstanding professor, the best I've had yet. Didn't know what to expect going into the class but I've learned more than I did. Didn't give much homework, but the homework we did do wasn't hard and he was very lieneant. 10/10 I would refer to other people.

Cool dude, you just kinda have to go with the flow cause it's that kind of class. But that's better than super hard and mean. He will always keep you engaged in class though which is good and you will learn A LOT of stuff that is actually important, there's no talking around hard topics in this class. Overall though it's a great change of pace.

Take this course, you will not regret it! Fair grader! Homework is rare and if so it's to watch a video. You talk about the news every class, he has powepoints, you've got a couple of papers to write. He's the teacher you always wanted.

Good lectures, informative and states what needs to be known without excess fluff (though leaves enough to give some context to the finer points). Definitely a political bias, but also the same political bias that I have - so not that bad. May be a sticking point for the more conservative student.

Kasey Baker teaches class in a way that is exciting, fun, and interesting all at once. I knew nothing about politics when I entered his class, but now, at the middle of semester, I know more about politics than I thought was possible. That being said, Kasey Baker is an excellent professor and I would suggest his class to anyone.

Honestly Baker is one of the coolest I've had. I'd say what makes him a great teacher is how he clearly explains what he's trying to get across, he makes the lecture more interactive so you do not get bored in class, and can get a laugh out of you while sticking to the topic at hand. All in all I believe he is one of the best.

Professor B has the best lectures, and is always sure to incorporate what we learn with real world events. We dont get many grades, so everything counts much more than it would if we had more assignments. However, at the same time, its nice not having too much work and being able to focus more on discussions.

Most of what you need to know he talks about in class, so show up.

Kasey is one of my favorite teachers. He's talented and he makes a class that most people would probably find a chore genuinely enjoyable. He gives excellent feedback and is understanding of tough circumstances. Be expected to show up to and participate in class if you want a decent grade. I would highly recommend taking his classes.

Professor Baker is fun and engaging in class. Homework is consistent, but not difficult so long as you pay attention, and the quizzes are the same. So long as you participate, you're in for a compelling and interesting class during which you learn keystone ideas within American politics and think critically about our political system.

Professor Baker is a great teacher he takes time with us and tells what we need to know directly no going around the bush he is straight to the point, it makes it much easier to learn. I took American Government as an online minimester and it was a very reasonable amount of work. Baker is super laid back, easy to work with, and a reasonable grader. I would definitely take him again. There were lots of videos to watch, but not much necessary reading. He's very respectful of everyone's opinions. But know you have to volunteer.

I really appreciated Mr. Baker's outlook on political science. it has helped me to reevaluate my beliefs, as well as realize that things are not in the public eye matter more than the news covers. It has inspired me to change how i research information after watching the news.

This professor speaks clearly and knows what he is talking about. He is passionate about Politics and speaks a lot and has a powerpoint that way if you do not take notes in his class you can review the powerpoint and see what he was talking about.

Overall, Mr. B makes class pretty easy, but you do need to do your work. He chooses topics that are interesting to discuss, but almost all of the topics are pretty depressing. He makes you think hard! All of the work he was given was online. He also replies to emails promptly which is a plus.

Professor Baker does a great job of making sure that his lectures are engaging and interesting. Often times the subjects that have to be discussed are dreary and boring however Professor B makes sure that the content is broken down and easily understandable for the whole class as well as funny and engaging.

I love how lively Professor Baker is when teaching. I'm so used to professors droning on and on and not really looking all that interested in the content they're teaching, but Prof. B is definitely the opposite of that and it makes things fun and interesting!

Mr. Baker wants you to "think critically" about many controversial and depressing topics. Although the discussions are mostly depressing, they are real issues in America and around the world. He shows videos to give more insight about the topics. Mr. Baker keeps a "less than ideal" class a little more interesting.

Fun lecture attend bc Mr. Baker does a good job of engaging class in discussion. Very few assignments that are for the most part pretty easy.

The class is pretty legit, the course topic is pretty difficult in general but Baker makes it fairly accessible! The guy is funny, but he is a tough grader, though he gives us time to redo our work for a much better grade so that is cool.

Kasey Baker is a great prof.. He understands that students 1). take more than one class and 2). have responsibilities outside of school. Prof. Baker assigns minimal homework with a few long papers to make sure we understand the course- which is great! No busy work! Great job, 10/11. Wish we could watch more Rick and Morty though. Although the class gets political, Baker is good at removing his own biases during grading.

Mr. Baker is great and I love being in his class. His lectures are very deep but are also interesting and they grab your attention. I would recommend his class.

Kasey is all around a great professor, he genuinely cares about his students and is very helpful. He is hilarious which makes this a fun class but he also teaches very well and putting those two traits together makes for a great class and an even better way to learn!

Kasey Baker leafs a great class and wants his students to succeed. Most days are lectures where the class also participates by adding their own view point on different topics. He also shows really great video content that is interesting and relatable. He does not give a lot of homework and hes lenient on attendance! This is a great course.

This is a great class! Dr. Baker is great at keeping class interesting and engaging. He leads good class discussion. You'll stray from the intended class topic but it was always be worth it and probably more interesting. Take this class!

He has different take on political science, I wasn't really sure what to expect when I signed up, but he really makes this topic less dull. I personally hate that some ppl talk all the time in his class bout BS and they just seem like they want to argue all the time and rip on his materials with no real basis. That aside, awesome/funny instructor.

Cool guy, the only issue I have with the class is that there arent a lot of small assignments which can be scary, your grade is mostly based on big papers.

His class is the best I've taken at AB Tech so far. He is very knowledgeable about what he teaches and makes it easy to grasp the information.

The class is very interesting and I loved it. However, I took the minimester and it is a LOT of work. There is a ton of reading and videos every week and I easily spent 2-3 times longer on this class than any of my other one. I would definitely recommend it, just be prepared to devote some time to it.

Had his POL and HUM class. Very reading light and you watch a few movies/documentaries (no 35-page chapters here). Def leans to the liberal side in the content, but he makes you argue the other side of some pretty dark topics. Responds quickly to emails and let me retake a test when moodle's crashed mid test for me. 1 of my fav class/teachers

I have the upmost respect for Prof. Baker. I took political science online and it was hands down the best course I have ever taken at AB Tech and I would assume taking it in person would have been phenomenal. Prof. Baker is very knowledgable on the subject and his lectures are intriguing. I dedicated a lot of time to this class but it was worth it.

A super understanding professor, we had a lot of random world/tech issues that affected our course and he was good about being able to change stuff. VERY fair grader, he won't give you a 100% just for doing the minimum, but he will absolutely give credit where it's due. Lots of reading, videos, you need to put in effort, but so worth it!

Professor Baker is fantastic - engaging lectures and fair grading. The workload is heavy, but using tools like unstuckstudy ai for study prep made it manageable. Highly recommended for an interesting political science course.

Professor B. is a wonderful educator. With so many questions and recent events challenging what we thought we knew about the United States Constitution, Professor Baker brings focus back to the context and perspectives the Founders had when forming our nation. Everyone should take this class as part of you core knowledge base.
