nice teacher, gives a lot of extra points to help out on the exams. Takes about 13-15 quizzes and counts 10 top most. One exam gets dropped and if you make an A in the course, you do not have to take the final. Get her. Explains very well.

She is the best math teacher I have ever had. I am horrible at math and she explains things so well and goes very slow. She's actually a lot of fun too...cracking jokes and what not. THe first math class I ever loved and got perfect attendance in haha

She is a very nice lady, but sometimes hard to understand because she has a hungarian accent. She knows her math and the tests aren't too bad but they do always take longer than an hour. If you are not naturally good at math, be ready to study!! regular quizzes and takes attendance everyday!

She was very nice and funny. She gives 2 to 3 chances to take each test if you don't take advantage of her. If you do your homework and come to class you should do well. She explains everything you need to know very well. She treats you well as long as you treat her well.

She's the best teacher I've had at ECU. Yes, she's difficult, and yes she asks a lot from her students, but if you do at least part of the homework, come to class, and work on the study guides, you should be able to at least get a B. She's excellent...and you get used to the accent.

She is a GREAT teacher. She's funny and likes to makes jokes. There is no question about it, I would take her again. She makes the material easy to understand and she loves what she does. As for her accent, it's not hard to understand her.

A breeze, just go to class and you will be fine. Tons of extra credit, explains things very easily. Her accent is not hard to unserdatnd and she is always available for extra help. Lots of points from quizzes and worksheets to bring up test scores if needed and always extra credit on tests.

She was very easy does not check homework.If you come two class you can get extra credit on your test, which are too easy. Take her its an A if you do your work.

I would be doing the school and Dr. Sucz an injustice if I didn't comment on the excellent job she does as a instructor. Her teaching style is so down to earth that I can honestly say I learned alot in Mathematics for the first time. Needly to say, her teachings has increased my confidence in Mathematics tremendously. Very nice lady, accent but you can understand her, did check homework each time, 4 test, 4 worksheets, and final, class moved pretty fast for a remedial math class, strict attendance

She is a GREAT teacher. The material and the tests can be difficult, but she's always willing to help. Attendance isn't too bad, several quizzes throughout the semester, and randomly takes homework sometimes. If you do your homework in the class, and study, you'll be fine. I'd take her again in a heartbeat if I had the chance.

I highly recommend this professor for this particular class because she helps you to clearly understand each problem step by step unlike other math teachers I have had in previous math classes. Again she has been a tremendous help for me and I am positive she will be a tremendous help for you.

This little lady is a great teacher. Her accent is cute and she wants you to learn and will do all that she can to help you. I have been out of school for 10 years nad absolutely abore math. But she helped alot with the transition and brought some fun back to it for me. In order to do good you have to come to class, pay attention and do your HW!

Easy A if you do your homework. Gives alot of homework and quizzes come right from the homework. Exams aren't that bad. Gives a chance to earn double credit for some problems. If you only miss 3 classes she will drop your lowest exam grade. Takes the best 10 out of however many quizzes and averages as an exam. Great Professor.

Her 0045 class is great for people who have a little trouble with math. Everything is done at your own pace and your get to take the tests at least two times each to get the best grade you can. She is really funny and friendly, but she has a noticable accent that may be hard for some people. Overall it was a fun easygoing class.

Easy class and got to do work at your own pace. Treats you like your 5, she wont let you move out your seat or talk to anyone during class. She's not a bad teacher but I hated going.

This woman is amazing! I had a horrible time with math all throughout high school, but this professor made it seem understandable, and could even apply math to everyday situations. She thinks very highly of her students (those who make an effort), but especially of herself :) A pleasure to learn from, even at 9 in the morning. I highly recommend

As much as I hate math, this professor made it so simple. She takes the time to break down problems into steps and show you shortcuts that actually WORK. She's very funny and quite proud of her students. You can expect weekly quizzes, but they're not too horrible.

Pre-Calc is very difficult with her.... there is so much, and while she is extremely helpful, the tests are extremely hard. I thought I was at least descent in math till I had her for this :[ Be sure you can handle the huge work load and out of class study if you take Pre-Calc with her; and get the solution manual for the book-- it helps.

A little hard to understand her foreign accent. Tests arnt too bad, but there arn't that many questions on them, don't miss any or your screwd!!! overall not horrible

Dr. Szucs is the best math teacher by far!! I absolutely love math and when I took her class I fell in love with it even more. I took Pre-Calculus in high school and I'm still learning new things. Her tests are somewhat challenging but nothing you can't handle. I sincerely recommend this teacher for Pre-Calculus!!!!

She holds your hand through the class, which you won't get from any other teacher in college.She is amazing and she will answer your questions-you just have to ask them.No one can read minds. Here's the REAL scoop on Dr.Szucs. YES she has an accent but it's not THAT hard to understand. She explains everything thoroughly & homework isn't REQUIRED it's up to 10 bonus points on the TEST. Great Teacher, Really cares how all her students do. You have just got to show that you want to pass. Why go to school if you are not there to learn, believe it or not you really make it bad for those of us who desire to learn and continue on. I would take her if you desire to be taught and taught where you can recall the information later.

This class is not meant to be easy, it is for students who will most likely have use for the basics of calculus in their major. I did not find her rude, she, like I, is just perplexed when students spend thousands of dollars on school and are not interested in learning. If you are willing to go to class and pay attention, you will do fine.

She has the desire to teach those that want to learn and will do anything she can to help you understand the material.the is very thorough in what she teaches and does it well. This is an excellent teacher who really cares about the student and their performance in the class. As long as you show up to class with the desire to learn you will walk out of this class with an A. It wont be a walk in the park but she really does her best to make sure we learn and her tests show it. I would recommend her to anyone :)

Dr. Szucs is awesome and funny! she gives hmwk everyday which is due the next day by 12pm but the book work is optional She is ALWAYS willing to help so don't be afraid to ask questions before and after class even during office hours! the tests are time consuming but u get a chance to get up to 5pts added to ur test if u do corrections correctly.

also if u don't miss class u'll get up to 10pts added to ur lowest test score!! always do ur hmwk, ask questions, do test corrections and u'll def get an A in da class! remember pre-calc is 5 CREDITS!!! dr. szucs is really cool when u get to know her...good luck!

Dr. Szucs is one of the best math teachers you could ever take! I have never been good at math but she makes things very easy to understand. She drops your lowest quiz grades and averages my math lab grades in as test grades. If you miss less than 3 days of class she adds 10 points to one of your test grades. Easy Class however many do not do well. She hates cell phones so don't even try it. She is very helpful you just have to take the time to go see her.

Awesome math teacher! Once you get used to her accent, she is awesome. Do the hw. It WILL pay off. Dont push her buttons, she doesn't play. Forget the cellphones, you will get sent out. Her entire course is laid out from day one to the finish so there is no surprises. Her grading isn't bad at all bc she will drop alot at the end!

Overall a good class to take before you move on to 1065. If you go to class and at least know the basics of Mathematics you will do well. You get extra credit on the tests if you come to class every day and you can retake the test once if you make a poor grade. Overall, a great class to take.

LOVED her! She loves her job and her main focus is to make sure you understand the material and are prepared for the next level of math. You get extra credit for not missing class and you get 2 chances on your tests if you do poorly on your first try! I would recommend her to anyone! This class helped refresh my math greatly!

She has an accent but she speaks better English than most of English-Speakers. If you have questions, ask, she loves questions. Extra-credit for every single exam. She drops your lowest quiz grade and two of your lowest homework grade. Don't miss class and you'll get 10+ points to your lowest grade. She really cares about her students.

Mrs. Szucs is a great professor who teaches math and knows what she is talking about. She has great teaching techniques that helped me learn and i would recommend her.

Dr. Szucs is the best math teacher I've ever had. She knows the material. She does have an accent but it's not hard to understand her at all. She gives extra credit on tests for doing the reviews and 2 points just for being there. She's crazy strict about no cell phones, which I think helps everyone focus. Her lab assistants are also very helpful.

She is a wonderful professor. She really cares about her students and will do a lot to help students succeed. Her tests are long and really difficult. But she also helps a lot with grades on the exams because she wants for everyone to do well. Homework grade counts as a test grade.

She is a good teacher, but I couldn't get past her strong accent. Luckily, the class was accompanied by a great online source so don't stress if you can learn independently. She's friendly, but do not let her catch you with a phone. Yikes. And she keeps you until the last minute and gets upset if you leave the class at any point for any reason.

Szucs is a great teacher! There are plenty of examples in class. She has practice tests before every exam. Answers questions from the hw at the beginning of class. Multiple opportunities for extra credit. Tough class for most people, but if you take the time to get help you'll be fine. GO TO CLASS

The class does involve a lot of work to pass but she is a good teacher and will do what she can to help you pass. She does grade with partial credit to help you get the highest grade possible.

If you are a Biochem/Chem/Engr major, take Mrs. Szucs! She gives the absolute best lectures and will actually make you excited to go home and do math. Probably the best professor I have had at ECU. Be sure to utilize her office hours and if needed, ask questions in class. She is always ready to help!

I love having her class. I used to love math but had terrible teachers my last 2 years of high school. Having her as my professor brought that love back. She genuinely wants her students to succeed and clearly expresses how proud she is when you do well in her class, especially if you are slacking then bring your grade up. I'd high recommend her!!

Dr. Szucs is a wonderful teacher. Just act like an adult, show up to class, do your work, and you will do fine. For each exam you get three practice tests and if you don't do well on the test A you can take test B!

I'm not very good at math so this wasn't the class for me. She has an accent but it's not hard to understand her. If you miss more than 6 classes she will start taking away points from your lowest test grade so go to class. Start studying for tests ahead of time there are only 3 and they count a lot. Homework every night that requires time.

Dr. Szucs is willing to help so take full advantage! She counts homework/quizzes as a test grade, PERFECT attendance will get you 6 extra points on your lowest test. She expects a lot of memorization and honestly makes the class harder than it needs to be due to minimal usage of calculators. If math isn't your strong suit, steer clear.

Dr. Szucs was probably the best math instructor I've ever had. Throughout high school, I'd always just barely pass my maths with a C, but I've been able to maintain an A the whole semester. The lecture is in a computer lab, but the class is taken online. You have to show up to class so she can teach and that you can take in-class quizzes and tests

Best teacher for 1066

Math has never come easy for me, until I had her as my teacher. She made me understand and encourages you to make mistakes in class so you can learn from them. She explains thoroughly the simple mistakes that a lot of people have. She goes over everything you might encounter in my mathlab. I like that she is focused on accuracy instead of speed.

Mrs. Szucs was an awesome teacher to take for MATH 0045. She makes everything very understanding during her lectures. I am not the best in math but she made everything where it was easy to understand and remember how to do. It has definitely helped me already in MATH 1066 already.

Dr. Szucs really knows her stuff and cares about her students! Her class is taught old fashioned but for me it really worked. She teaches the material, gives you a worksheet with vocabulary and examples, and then youll have a homework assignment on that material due by the next class. She is a great professor! I had her for Math 0045 over the summer, used Mymathlab. If you actually pay attention in class and keep focused, her lectures are Great. Extra credit was given for attendance and unit review packets (not sure if that applies to Fall/Spring semester). She is Very helpful and cares. Pretty thick accent, but not too bad.

Such a great teacher. Some may find her a bit abrasive at first, with her 0 tolerance for phones, but she really cares about her students. Lectures are very clear and she doesnt make you feel stupid for asking questions. Almost impossible to fail cause she has 2 attempts for every exam and half the class is homework. TAKE HER!

She is very old fashioned and everything is done in chalkboard. However she has a good pace of the information so she doesnt overwhelm you. Theres an assignment after every class. She does care that you learn the information and that you get a good grade. You cant have your phone out. Tests arent bad as long as you take time to learn the steps.

Not going to lie, I really did not like her at the beginning. I could not understand her accent and i didnt like her phone policy. once the weeks went by, i was surprised to realize how much i enjoyed the class and her teaching strategies. I learned so much from this class and she is so nice and caring towards her students. my fav professor.

At first I didn't really like her but as the semester went on and I worked with her on a closer basis you really see how much she cares about her students and their success, she doesn't just focus on a grade but more so learning the material itself, over the class was more difficult for me than others, but by far one of my favorite professors.

She really knows her stuff and gives many different ways to solve problems. 3 test and take home worksheets collected for grades. Then the final. Mymathlab is used everyday. She always curves her test by 1 or 2 questions and gives partial credit. I thought as long as you went to class you will do fine. She is very sweet if you get to know her.
