This class is easy, but challenging....there is outside work involved, but it is fun. There is really no reason to get the book, as 90% of the test comes straight from lecture notes....it helps that she is easy on the eyes too.

She is a great prof as I took her for two of my psych classes. She does not have the easiest tests, but gives you good test reviews which help a ton. Class is fun and interesting. She is very helpful, especially if you go to her office. I would recommend her, as she was my best psychology prof.

She is very nice and easy. You do not even need to read the book 95% of the time. Study the powerpoints and you will get an A. She is a easy grader too. She shows movie clips which helps the time to fly. The final project is easy but time consuming.

I had her my first semester at CC and then again recently for my last semester. She's still energetic, enthusiastic, fun, and brilliant. I don't know that there is a better professor at CC. Material comes right off the powerpt. slides and tests are easy. Motherly, and genuinely cares about her students, she wants to see you succeed. I love Dr. B!

Dr. B is the best! I absolutely love her psychology classes! I wish I could have her for every one of my classes. But alas, I am finished with all my psychology requirements. I took her online classes, which were excellent.

This online course is great! She will respond quickly to emails, and explain anything in detail if needed. She will even meet you on campus if needed. As long as you try hard and do your work she will love ya. This is a must have teacher of the pysch.

Easy online class, textbook-based (good textbook), no PPT lectures, weekly quizzes (retake as often as you want), weekly discussion board posting, 6 online exams, 1 easy interesting paper, in-person final. Instructor responds promptly to questions posted in virtual office. Reading the text is a must (~30 pp/wk). Dr Byerwalter is friendly & helpful.

Dr. B is a brilliant women. By utilizing all of the materials to their maximum potential, an A is not difficult. Put in the time, and read through the text so reinforce what she teaches in her lectures. she writes a difficult exam for the most part .. mostly conceptual, very little definition.

I took this through telecourse! One of the best distance education experiences - EVER! We were supposed to watch videos (online) none of them loaded so she waived the assignment. I read the text, utilized her PP presentation and studied with the text's website! You know what to expect with this course! Highly recommended!

I took the online class, she was very clear about what was due and when. She gives questions from the book and also extra assignments to help you dig deeper into the material, but I never felt overloaded or like I was doing busy work. I also loved that she gave feedback on assignments!

Took her online class. It was pretty easy but I learned alot. The RG questions were a littl time consuming and some assignments weren't clear but if you asked she would explain what she meant. 4 open book exams timed (60 mins. for 55 questions) final exam is easy if you study your prior exam questions. Final exam is cumulative 100 questions.

Loved her class! After being disappointed in my PY 201 teacher I was so thankful to have her for 232! I loved everything about the class, she has an awesome attitude! Study the powerpoint slides and you can get an A on the test. I would recommend her to anyone, and take her class again in a heart beat! Awesome Teacher!

Professor Byerwalter is a phenomenal teacher. She truly cares about her students and wants them to do well - if you have any problems, she'll go out of her way to help! Lots of handouts, very clear, and class was never boring. She's a fairly easy grader, but but things aren't hard if you study the materials.

She is the most organized online professor I have ever had. Very clear in her expectations and grades accordingly. Gives real comments to assignments and actually reads papers, rather than just writing "great, good job", etc. I hope to have her again!

I took her online class. She was very clear about everything that was expected and she wasn't overwhelming with homework. The best part about her is that she gives actual insightful feedback. Very few profs do that, so I really appreciated that she took the time to do so.

I took the online course and was very lucky to have such a clear teacher. She posts the homework so you can work ahead if you want to and she posts grades almost instantaneously, with feedback which many professors don't do. If you have the option to take her, I highly recommend it!

i recommend taking this class with her. she loves teaching and is easy to work with. this class was very rewarding for me because you get to make a difference in childrens lives. Although the Montessorri school is a wild and crazy place you can def take away a lot from the experience.

I have had Dr. B for PY 201, 233, and start next week with her for 232. All online. She is clear, organized, gives a resonable amount of work that isn't too demanding, yet you learn the material. She grades very quickly, comments on work, and is easy to communicate with. Highly recommended.

Dr. Byerwalter was easily the best teacher i have had! she was easy to understand. Taught the material without asking too much, and genuinely rewarded good work through comments and grades. Had this professor for Summer 2011, for Child Psychology as an online class. She laid everything out very simply for assignments, discussions, and tests. She was encouraging, quickly responded to emails, and very knowledgeable. Friendly teacher! Would love to meet her in person in a future class.

Dr. B is very passionate, caring, helpful, and takes her profession seriously. I would recommend this class to anyone who plans on being a parent in their future, or anyone who plans on interacting with children. It's not a blow-off class, but a class full of a lot of 'need to know' information. You won't regret having her. :)

She is one of the best teachers I have had at CC' very helpful and the class is interesting! The only downside for me is the timed exams for each module.. I do poorly when timed so if that is an issue for you stay away from her online courses. Her powerpoint presentations are very helpful and she works at a slow pace so that is a bonus!

I had her Summer 2010 for an online child psychology - an accelerated class that I was sad to see end. She was engaging to students, and as long as you do what you're supposed to do (a theme I think works well anywhere) you'll get a good grade. She is very passionate about the subject, and can tell if a student is too.

Took this course online, the only thing that I didn't like was that the exams you have every couple of weeks are timed. She is a great teacher and very helpful, I recommend the class if you don't mind timed tests.

Fantastic Instructor! I am a nursing transfer student and this is a required course for me. She spells out everything you need to know, tests are all multiple choice. She is one of the most caring and passionate instructors I have ever had, she really gets to know her students even on a personal level. I would HIGHLY recommend this instructor

Fantastic professor. She really makes an attempt to get to know her students and will work with you. The material is well-presented and she listens to feedback she gets from students. She sets up powerpoints from the chapters for you to print. Course work consists of six short exams, two projects, and some reading. I loved this class.

Dr Byerwalter has been my favorite professor at GRCC thus far. She is clear and gives test prep materials relevant to the exams. She immediately contacts students if there is a change in the syllabus. Through the way she ran her lecture, I became friends with many of my classmates through frequent discussions and occasional projects. Great Prof!

Very easy yet interesting class. I never touched the book. just took notes on her lectures. Every 3 weeks you have; 3 videos & quizzes, 1 paper, and a unit test. All this can be done in 1 day if you want to. The paper is 3 pages double spaced. She is very knowledgable and doesn't just read powerpoints to you which is nice. I highly recommend.

I love Dr. Byerwalter! I took her online and I would seriously recommend her to anyone! She is very clear about what she wants from students and the chaptersmodules were pretty easy. She is also very knowledgeable about psychology and you can tell she's very passionate about it. I wish I could take all of her classes.

I like that Dr. Byerwalter posts her lectures on the online course. It makes learning the material easier. (And worth it.) Discussion boards for online classes are pretty simple, just one post a week (as long as it fits her criteria) will get you an A. (Make sure it's a good post though.)

Wrote 2 papers that were only 5 pages long and got A's on both of them. Easy grader, good class. No final exam if you choose to do 10 hours of community service and a 2 page paper on your service. Otherwise, the final exam is 100 points. Semi-difficult exams but there are only 5 of them. If you read, you'll do ok. Good class, would take it again.

Good class, exams are timed and you don't have time to look up each answer in the book. Do the study guides and the tests become easy. 5 exams-worth most of your grade. Have to go into the school to the last on. Lots of quizzes and a discussion board each week. Quizzes are super easy.

I had her for an online class and her expectations are very clear. But, don't be alarmed when you have to take the exams with a lockdown browser. So, studying and reading the textbook is very important. She always gave very nice feedback on papers and was very caring. I just wish I would've taken an in seat class versus online.

Dr. Christian is amazing. She genuinely cares for her students. Easy to communicate with and understanding. Get ready to read and implement a questions list for each chapter that you will share with a classmate. One paper is due for the semester and there are 5 exams total, but no cumulative final.

I took Dr. Christian's PSY232 class entirely online, meaning the opportunities for feedback were less than those of an in-person class. However, when I completed a major project (i.e., Discussion posts, Erickson paper), I received honest, individualized feedback, which I valued. She also offers additional content that is valuable to have as well.

don't take her class at the same time you take py233 or any other psych class. i'm typically a straight As/high Bs student, and i withdrew from her class at week 3 with a 64%. she was an absolute angel, and tried to help make my learning experience better, but honestly? alone or with another psych class, this isn't an easy A course.

This was an online course. My first online course ever. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. There is a lot of reading and weekly test but overall was a great class. Along with a great instructor.

Professor Christian does a great job with this class. Her videos are nice and short but include great material. Quizzes are optional but are helpful because the questions appear on tests. Tests are straightforward and just like her videos. Great professor!

If you need to take a psychology class, take it with Dr. Christian! She follows the same format every week of reading, discussion board, and quiz. There is no final exam, and she provides lectures and study guides for every quiz. There is one project, but she gives clear instructions and lots of time. Her feedback is very thoughtful and detailed.

Dr. Christian has been my favorite professor so far! She is so kind, I took this class online but I reached out via email multiple times and she was quick to respond. She gives you the study guides and you just answer the questions so there are no surprises on the exams. I would take every class that I can with her.

This is the easiest psychology class i have ever taken. Professor Kate, is such a caring, kind and probably my favorite professor i have ever had! Quizzes are really easy as long as you do the study guide! If you email her about a question or literally anything she responds very quickly!

Every two chapters there's a test. The professor provides study guides and as long as you take time to do them, a good test grade is pretty much guaranteed. Outside of the study guides, there is only one assignment we did at home and that was as essay, which you get a couple options for. Overall, this professor's class is interesting and engaging.

This has been one of the best professors I have ever taken a class with. Clear guidelines, quick grading, and easy to understand content (if you watch the lectures). I don't have a single issue with Professor Christian, and only have good things to say about her. I would gladly take a third course with her.

Very comfortable atmosphere for students, even if you're shy and don't like to talk. All and all great professor, as well as person, and would definitely recommend!

Lots of Lectures and Quizzes throughout the semester, which can range from 6 Videos, each with a Quiz one week, and 2 Videos with Quizzes each the next. During good periods to get work done, she does check how often you are active on Blackboard for attendance. Videos, btw, can range from 15 Minutes to 30+ ... be prepared for LOTS of notes.

Dr Christian is AMAZING. She's by far my favorite professor I've ever had. Her passion, care, and excellence is very evident in her class. She knows her stuff and is always willing to help where she can, even if it's real life issues. The work was very easy because she is amazing at her job. Put in the work, you'll do great with her!

I LOVED Dr. Christian. Her lectures were interesting, and she cared for and took great interest in her students. Her study guides align with the tests well, and there was no midterm or final. Participation in the discussion was encouraged, but never required.

I had an amazing experience with Ms. Christian. Her lectures include a video and she likes to add herself in the corner that way you can see her. She is constantly cracking jokes and making us giggle, but in all seriousness she makes it fun to learn about Child Development. 10/10

I wouldn't get though any psych class without her. She's amazing. Her lectures are amazing. The work is easy. Just listen. Pay attention.

Dr. Christian is the best professor I've had in college. I took her PY 232 class. Her class inspired me so much that I changed my major to psychology because of her. She was always approachable and made time for everyone. She has made a lasting impact on me, both as a student and as a person. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in her class.

Dr.christian's online class was easy to understand and follow. She had clear expectations. Her lectures and study guides were amazing had all the information needed for the exams. Highly recommend!!

Such a sweet, kind, and overall great professor. I really enjoyed this class and learned so much at the same time. If you complete the assignments, watch the video lectures, and read the textbook you'll ace the class.

Amazing professor, truly so nice, helpful, and overall the best professor at GRCC. I took an online course so it was all lectures and you just take notes then answer some quiz questions and do a test. She was super nice and understanding when I had to email her a couple of times. If you struggle with psych and need this credit, I insist you take it

Honestly my favorite professor. Her lectures are not hard, and she's absolutely hilarious and nutty in the best way. She loves to engage with her students, and assignments are straight forward.

I really enjoyed her course. The lectures were fun to listen to, she cut them up so it wasn't hours long for the topic of the week. It was easy to take it steps at a time to not feel overwhelmed with the material each week. I learned a lot from her!

I took Dr. Christian's child psychology class online, I must say I wish I took it in person because she is very engaging even with her online lectures and despite my grade being lower because I am slow and found out later that she has study guides up and there to use which helped me keep me at a good enough grade to be happy with.
