Great teacher! Gives good notes, doesn't collect homework except for like 3 easy assignments. Prepares you really well for tests, kind, and very approachable! I've had her 2 terms and would take her many more. She's still young and enthusiastic.

Kate Horton is one of the best teachers I have ever had. she is smart and has quirky sense of humor. She is also very good at explaining concepts. Her homework doesnt usually have to be turned in, but you might want to consider doing some of it anyway(I speak from experience)

This was a 7-9:50PM...she kept it engaging, interesting and actually enjoyable. Very skillful, easy to follow. Average load of homework. A midterm and a final both preceded by a group test that preps you up for them. Great teacher. Will take again if available. Highly recommend her.

Great teacher!! Has taught me to understand and enjoy algebra! Had daily assignments, group tests, note card on test, and clearly explains what needs to be learned. Weekly quizzes to help understand what you're missing. Excellent at spending time on students questions. Best Math Teacher!

She teaches very well and makes her exams and quizzes not as difficult. It's pure math so there's no business, art or science incorporated. She gives 8 worksheets with solution handouts, graded homework, six quizzes, two exams, one final and three practice group tests with the solution handouts available afterwards. She is funny and compassionate.

She is amazing! She gives worksheets and the answers to the worksheets so you get extra practice, and they really help you understand the homework. She also gives practice tests and group tests to correct the practice tests, and that makes the actual test so much more manageable. I wish I could just take all my math from her! Kate Horton is the best math teacher I have ever had. Always had a hard time with Algebra, but she broke it down into steps & made it understandable. She's also really laid back and funny, although she is a serious teacher who cares a lot. Take her for any math class that you can.

Kate was wonderful teaching 111B. Her lecture notes were terrific, and I rarely needed to refer to the textbook. Her exams weren't easy, but as long you attend each class and copy her notes, you should do fine. I also had her for Statistics, but she wasn't nearly as clear as in 111B. I don't believe she teaches Statistics often, however.

Stats is hard, but she gives you all the formulas you need. You are allowed notes for tests. She answers questions in class and responds quickly through email. We only had 10 worksheets, a few graded assignments and 3 articles due the whole term. I really recommend her! You'll get an A if you do the worksheets, go to class and ask questions.

Prior to taking Kate's class I had always been the worst student in every math class. For 25 years, I avoided math. Prior to taking her class I studied on my own for 2 months to try to get into a higher level and I failed 6 times! Kate showed me that I really could do math and do it well. She taught at the rate we all learned. I got my first "B"!

Kate is the best math teacher at PCC. She teaches in a very clear way and has some great tricks for helping you remember all the steps. I avoided going to college for 6 years because I didn't want to do math. If I knew there was a math teacher as great as Kate I would have started along tome ago!

Wish she were teaching MTH 244. As long as you stay on top of the worksheets she hands out the overall load isn't bad. I came out of calculus so this class seemed easier to me than most of the other students.

She is really down to earth and makes math easy to understand and breaks it down no matter how difficult the concepts may be. If math intimidates you or just need a breath of fresh air, Kate is your best bet.

She doesn't give a ton of home work she is super fair with her grading and if you can't make it to class its totally ok! As long as you get your stuff done! Awesome teacher!! I was pretty nervous to take a math class since it had been years since I had taken one, but Kate made it a wonderful experience. I understood everything clearly and felt prepared for each test. She takes the time to explain all of the problems. I wish she was teaching all levels of math!

She is awesome. I ended up with a C in the class, but that's only because I didn't make as much of an effort as I could've. Stats isn't an easy class and she went out of her way to help people understand. She is a very fair grader as well. If you have the opportunity to take any class with her, do it!

This teacher made calculus very easy for me, and she's the only teacher I've had that's done such a good job of explaining the course work and being easy to understand. She's a superb teacher, 5 stars.

I took her Introductory Into Algebra, part 3 course in the summer, and she was literally one of the best instructors out there for this subject. Crystal clear on everything, but she did have us take a quiz every week. Don't worry though, they're not tough. I wish she taught Math 95.
