Great teacher. Funny, helpful and very interesting. Pretty flexible and nice. He's hilarious and it just makes the class that much better. Pretty damn hot and sexy English accent. Will take him as many times as I can.

I took his class online. This professor is down to Earth, very helpfull. I personally enjoyed the stocks games, wich is a great way to learn to make investments and become financially secure. It was a great experience.

If you want to take an online class, this is the guy to take it with. The HW and tests are easy. Just make sure you get everything turned in on time! I took him for Intro to Business last summer and Marketing this past semester.

I absolutely loved my Intro to Business Class. We had fun joking around, and played cool review games to prepare ourselves for test. Everyday was a good day.

Really fun professor, likes to make a lot of jokes, and gets side tracked easily. So, if you are easily distracted and don't learn easily then not for you. Other than that the class was easy and helpful. 3 exams & 1 group project. (Prin. of Marketing)

Online course was tough, but I learnt a lot. Note sure what other guy was saying about random quizzes??? Everything was clearly listed in the syllabus. I thought the prof. was responsive and helpful.

I absolutely loved Katen! I took him for General Business. He was extremely personable always making jokes and he made it fun to learn. He was always offering extra credit. The accent definitely didnt hurt either ;).

If you like soccer, then take this course!!! Mr Amin is off the chain in high class. He makes you feel welcome with his jokes and he is very understanding. You just can't ask for a better professor then this.

Im took his marketing class and really enjoued it. He is so low key and makes us all feel welcome in the classroom. I love his real life examples and recommend everyone take him. Ill be registering for any class he teaches.

Course was pretty easy. Just took quizzes and did discussion posts. I thought professor Amin was very responsive to my emails, except when I emailed him at 2am. Then he didnt get back to me for a few hours!! Guess he was sleeping or something. HA HA

The class is totally taught through connect.com. You have 3 assignments and 1 quiz every week. Easy after reading the text book but you definitely have to read it. Tests weren't too bad. Nice teacher who responds quickly to your emails. Not a hard class&interesting and that's coming from a health major that didn't know anything about business.

He offers tons of extra credit, but you don't really need it. His teaching style keeps the class interested. Just do your online hw or that can really mess up your grade. He allows his students to leave class a week before class ends if you like your grade. I did with an A, so its better to keep up with your work and grab that opportunity.

Great Professor. His class is not hard at all. A huge portion of points come from the learn smarts assignments, so it's best to do them. He also offers plenty of EC. Also, attendance is key to his class so show up on time or call him if you can't make it.

Mr. K was awesome. I loved his marketing class because he makes it interesting and fun. Just turn up and do the work and you will get a good grade. I'm gonna take all my classes with this guy.

Professor Amin was readily available if needed, and stayed in the background if you did not feel you needed assistance. The course was pretty self-guided since it was an on-line condensed course during the summer semester. I e-mailed a couple of times with questions and always received a response within 24 to 38 hours.

Marketing is NOT an easy "A". You have to really put in the work & make sure your group is cooperating. He gives you feedback on anything you need help on or if you have any concerns about group members. A book isn't mandatory, but it may help cover what the lecture didn't. If you don't buy the book print out the PowerPoint slides.

Katen is super funny and makes the lectures enjoyable. He treats you like an equal and is always there for help when you need it. He inspired me to work hard and in the end it paid off. I plan on taking him for as many classes as I can. He Rocks!!!!!

So I actually took this class as MAN1021 and he was awesome. I recently spoke with him and he told me he is adding a FANTASY FOOTBALL extra credit assignment to his Management class!!! Man, why couldnt he do that earlier!!?? Oh well, my loss. He is a great professor and Ill be taking his other classes. TAKE HIM.

Took Intro To Business (Easy A), Principles Of Marketing, and Principles Of Mgmt with Mr. Katen. He's a professor that truly cares about his students, is always willing to help, and makes his lectures highly enjoyable with humor! In the Marketing class make sure you know how to work well with a group because they'll affect your score. Take him!

You have to buy the $120 online book, spend the extra $15 and get the paper copy. If you read the stuff, do all of the practice tests, you will pass this class easily. Use google!

Katen is an amazing professor! He is super funny and he knows his stuff. He is very understanding if you need to miss one class, but attendance is a must. He has clear grading criteria and it's easy to pass his class if you just pay attention in class and study for exams.

I took a 6 week summer course. We covered 2-3 chapters/wk. It was a breeze. Read the text, do the online exercises, then take the chapter quiz. Usually about an hour/chapter. No midterm. No final. Each chapter exercise and quiz are worth 10 points. You have to work to fail. He's responsive to emails. Easy class. Easy-going professor.

I took Katen in the Spring and loved him. His lectures are clear and he makes class a lot of fun. Its actually enjoyable to go to class as he has you laughing all class. He is really thorough and I learned a lot. EVERYONE should take him. I know I will take all classes I can with him. He is worth the trip to Ybor people. Take him.

Online class was on mheducation site but I had to look on Youtube for class lectures from a different instructor since it was: Read the book, Take the quizzes & exam. He did have a fun extra credit-stock trading game. Very clear grading criteria & deadlines.

Professor Katen was beyond helpful through out this entire semester. The class is very clear and a very easy A, Read the chapter take a 45 question knowledge check (if you get an answer wrong it doesn't count against you) then take a 10 question multiple choice quiz on the chapter. I recommend Katen to ANYONE looking to take Entrepreneurship

He was a great professor for a class that was taken online for Intro to Entrepreneurship. I took this for an elective credit, online class (8 weeks) and it was through McGrawHill which was a real breeze! There is two chapters and two quizzes due each week, but all chapters were open if you wish to work at your own pace. I recommend him for anyone!

He is a awesome professor you should take this course. I took this class for both General Business and Marketing 2011 and passed both courses. His PowerPoint's is very useful for this class and the outside word.

EXCELLENT Professor. He gives great lectures with humor and he uses examples that you will remember on the exam. He has a fun review game that he does before each exam. If you do all of your assignments then you will get an easy A. If you miss class, there is no make up. Extra credit was a meager 20 points so don't count on it.

This Professor is a true "teacher" willing to help his students prosper. His class is interesting and interactive. He gives real life advice along the way. He is the only professor whom I have had that has said he would help you outside of class with anything you need to make your college experience a success. I highly recommend his class.

Katen is one of the best Professor i have taken at HCC, he is extremely helpful and teach things that you can take into real life in the business world. His tests are based on power point lectures, which you have access to them outside of class. If you study the Power Point slides you will pass. You can also study abroad for this course!!.

Super Easy Class, Clear on what assignments are: Read the book and answer the online questions, 2 assignments per chapter and a test. The structure is so incredibly organized and easy to follow. I def would recommend this professor. I just took his online intro to business, now I am taking his online intro to Entrepreneurship

Mr. Katen is awesome. His lectures are clear and he relates everything to our lives so it makes sense. Ive been to other campuses and am annoyed I didnt take him before. Take his class and you wont regret it. There isnt a better professor at HCC. He really cares and does everything to help you succeed inside and out of the classroom.

I took this class online for dual enrollment. Honestly, a very easy class. Lots of assignments but not that hard if you just casually read the book. He does not allow for late assignments but I was almost 2 months ahead because of how most of it is independent with zero to no lectures. Overall a good class to take for credit.

I would definitely recommend taking this class. he makes you want to show up to class and he always jokes around. as long as you tale notes and pay attention youll pass the class no doubt.

While there is at least four assignments to each chapter its such an easy A. You can honestly pass the class even if you dont read the book. Awesome Professor. She allows you to work at your own pace.

This class is through McGraw-Hill, and you have to buy the textbook since you need the access code to do the assignments and quizzes. All the work is multiple choice and super easy. Put the time in and complete the assignments by the due dates and you'll get an A. There are 6 assignments each week since the class is only 8 weeks all super easy.

Funny and caring professor. Class materials were relatively easy; 4 tests, stimulations, and a cultural paper. There was an opportunity to go to England for this class but it was canceled this year due to Covid-19.

His class was really easy. Almost all the answers to his activities and quizzes can be found in the textbook or online. I had a fun time learning about business. I would 200% recommend this teacher to anyone. Some assignments can be long but others are short.

Really easy. It was all asynchronous, no lectures, and we had all the assignments open. We have 4 assignments a week, all directly in the online textbook. There's a lot of assignments with small points so it's easy to keep your grade up. He offered extra credit for this project we did outside of class, don't know if it's there other semesters.

Not a lot of assignments but you do have to teach yourself with the book. ALL quiz and exams are "PROCTORING ENABLED" meaning screen recorded and webcam needs to be on. Doesn't really reply back to emails. It's an ok class and professor doesn't bother you so that good.

Dr. Amin made the class awesome. I loved his style of teaching and he made learning easy and fun. He ties examples to stuff we understand, like real life stuff. He engages the students too and cares about us. He knows all our names and is interested in knowing about us. I would recommend Dr. Amin to everyone and will definitely take him again.

I have taken 3 of her courses now (this, GEB-2350, & MAN-2021) & she is consistent. I liked learning about business but now I LOVE it! I don't have one bad thing to say about this professor. She has multiple assignments & a quiz for each ch. but I promise it's easy and helpful. Love this professor & I will continue to take her classes till I grad!

His lectures are so engaging and I enjoy going to class. For most professors, I would rather stay home, but this guy makes lectures great. We actually all share ideas and end up having conversations about the topic based on real life examples. He finds great ways for us to realize how much we already, based on cool examples. Take his class!!

Getting to Ybor can be a pain, but he made it worthwhile. I've never had a professor as engaging and down to earth as him. I learned so much thanks to his lectures and his willingness to hang out and chat after class. He teaches a bunch of classes and I'll take everything with him.
