The best A&P teacher out there, you only have to study her notes,and the parts she tells you not the whole book. Very clear in lectures and if you listen and take good notes you'll ace the tests since their practically word-for-word by her notes. Plus she gives 10 bonus points possible on each test.

I'll be taking her for A&P II, and I'd definately recomend her for A&P I. This is not an easy class, but she doesn't make it any harder than it has to be.

Very tough because she gives you a lot of info at a very fast pace. But she keeps you entertained with stories that relate to the topic. Her tests are made to see if you really understand the topic, so if you go in there with a general idea expect a 'C'.

I took her for A&P II about a year ago, she was very good, but tough. by drop date I had become the "resident male" all the other guys had dropped with more than half the class. I am now taking Exercise Physiology at UNT and I am way ahead of everybody else in the class. I felt like I left her class really understanding and enjoying physiology.

I think Mrs. Hoffman has gotten an undeserved bad rap as a hard teacher. I think the subject is hard but she isn't. I like her because if you study her notes from lecture you can do well in her class. She gives you plenty of "heads up" about what will be on the test. If somebody tells you she is hard don't listen. I was one of the resident males.

She is a great professor, cares about her students and knows everyone by name. The only criticism we all have is that she is moves through material very quickly and it is difficult to follow her lecture. Recording the lectures AND reading the book are a good idea if you want to make an A. She's one of the best at TCCNE so I'd recommend her lab too!

Gargan's lecture was full, so I decided to take Hoffman. I was SOOOO happy with her class. I was doing really well, loved the lectures, and then she was out for the semester. So from what I experienced, she was a FANTASTIC teacher.

Hoffman she's very funny in all but in her lectures she jumps all over the place. She flips back and forth threw the book and her slides and her notes. However taking a course like A&P you must give your all study study study!!

I took the research lab The first 2 classes i felt overwhelmed because she gives you the calendar and talks about how all the work is basically up to your own studies. No book. You even have to provide your own protocol a few times. However, she grew on me. Probably the prof. i talk to the most. Shes hard, but fair. Its an unusual recommendation.

One of the better online courses I have taken at TCC. Very organized. She gives you quite a bit of freedom with chapter modules. Pretty demanding course so don't overload with a lot of other sciences. I thought she was fair in her grading. She is a very nice person and very knowledgeable.

She has regular and virtual office hours. If you don't have good study skills or are not willing to put in the time don't take a class like this online. You won't have your hand held.

Professor Hoffman is fair, unbiased, and has high expectations for her students. She pushed me to achieve my goals, and through her methodology I was highly prepared for Biology 1407. If you do not go to class, do not expect an A. She makes you earn your grade, so if you prefer to earn your grade.

Took her for A&P1 Lab. This was honestly the hardest class I've ever taken. The midterm and the final make up 90% of your lab grade so be prepared to study hard! Dr. Hoffman is a wonderful teacher. A&P is simply not an easy course and she will make you work for your grade. She believes lab is self discovery. She will lecture shortly and let you loose. I have taken online classes and this one is well organized and has a lot to offer. You have to be an independent learner and have good time management skills. Professor Hoffman teaches in a true STEM style. Yes, the hybrid class will mean a time commitment but she is available to help either online or on campus. The lab project was so interesting.
