She is horrible!!! You can barely hear her or understand her! This is her 1st yr here and she sucks! Her tests have so much material that is not covered by her. she messes up her slides and then refuses to go back after she messed up and got out of order and says that we should have noticed it. she is ridiculous! avoid her if you can, wait a semeste
Worst teacher Ive ever had @ ISU - and I'm a Sr! Lectures are full of "ummmss" and she seems totally clueless ALL THE TIME! NEVER EVER take her...hopefully she's not here much longer
worst teacher ive taken here at isu. has no confidence in what she is saying and never fully completes a thought. she cannot control her class and doesnt seem to really know whats going on most of the time. tests are extremely hard but quizes arent.
Terrible. She is clueless and says, "ummmmm" way too much. She has us analyze literature rather than understand history. She smiles and laughs whenever she messes up, and is very unfriendly to everyone. Tests are difficult. Avoid this teacher.
This teacher is the WORST teacher i have ever had!! Im surprised she got a job here because she cannot teach at ALL. Her lectures are filled with ummm and mumbles half the time so no one can understand her. Tests are over tons of information and you have to study it all or you wont pass. NEVER TAKE HER!!!
Did not do well for us at all....
She seems a little unorganized. Tests are all essay over lecture material so you really need to attend and take good notes but then you're set of the thest, she give you the exact test questions in teh study guides. She also had easy attendence quizes basically. There was sume supplemental readings that were kind of dull.
One of the worst teachers ever. She mumbles too much. She pauses for minutes at a time just saying nothing. She's grumpy and never helpful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I really liked this professor. I found her to be nice, interesting with lots of knowledge. She really cares about what she is teaching. And to all the people that have posted, grow up! stop judging on her speech. I'm shocked at you people. You're exactly what is wrong with our society!! All of you with your nasty comments deserve to fail in life.
one class more than 23 people walked out, I know because she mentioned the amount next class. That about says it all. Nice but unorganized and not a good teacher
She is TERRIBLE! Try to avoid, unless you are like me and it is the only option.
Probably one of the worst teachers i have ever had. 1960's material wasn't too boring, and the books were pretty interesting. You must read in order to do well in this class, she does not clarify too many events in class. Tests are extremely hard, and reading with note taking is a must. Downfalls: very "by the book" and didn't respond to emails
Wow... Ive been in this class a total of 4 days now and I um, pretty much, um want to um, uh..like shoot myself in the um...head... This lady can't spit out a complete sentence without adding in um 50 times. One thought turns into 3 diff. ones and she messes up and loses track and sorta giggles..It's impossible for me to listen to any longer. BAD!!
Wow. Literally THE WORST teacher I have EVER had. the 1960s must've really been rough for someone. NO complete thoughts, NO teaching ability, NO CLUE!
She knows what she's talking about, but has some serious ADD. She never finishes a thought, and you have to take good notes to be able to answer the test questions. If you are a strong writer then you will be fine, but making it through her lectures is rough.
It is hard to follow lectures because she is continuously laughing at herself, saying "um" or "and" or "you know"...haven't learned much and she loves playing 60s music with Youtube...If you have a choice, I would not recommend this class with her...Attendance, pop quizzes and essay tests.
Her lectures are so scattered- it was very hard to stay with her. We seriously covered the civil rights movement, vietnam, the USSR, and other topics on one test instead of having one unit on the civil rights movement, another unit on the vietnam war, etc. SO MUCH READING to do- and if you don't read, you'll lose all 50 points for quizzes.
cant understand anything she says because she butchers everything and just doesnt know how to explain anything. also is a very hard grader on papers that are only worth 5 pts.
I missed atleast a class a week, never did the reading, and still got an A. Attendance is mandatory but someone can just sign you in.Quizzes are frequent but she gives you study guides which pretty much have the answers on them (go online for answers). 3 essay tests but she tells you what its on beforehand. Don't listen to the others. Not a hard class
Undoubtedly, the worst teacher i have every had. she has no clue what she is talking about. Never, in a single class has she completed a sentance without the word "um". She mumbles on and on and is so unclear. DONT TAKE ANY OF HER CLASSES if you choose to "you've been warned"
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS get a new teacher i hate this lady more then i have ever hated a teacher before not only does she grade incredibly hard she expects you to just know things quizzes are impossible and there is just something about her dike voice that make you want to stab your eyes out UGGhhhh she sucks
WORST TEACHER EVER! Do not take this class with her. She is horrible. She grades so hard and acts like we all should be pros at this stuff. Class is so boring. Power points are useless and she says um ever other word in class so you cant follow what she is saying. Tests are essay tests and way harder then need be. This lady should not be a teacher!
This teacher needs to stop teaching. She is a horrible teacher. Her power points are so bad and don't help at all. Her lectures make no sense and she says "Um" every other word if not more. Her tests are 10 times harder than the material she teaches. If she actually taught us the things that are on tests maybe students wouldnt hate her as much.
This teacher was the worst professor I have ever had. I can usually put up with a bad one every once in a while, but she was unbearable. Quizzes=impossible, says "um" after everything and changes topics in the middle of sentences. Her voice makes you want to drop dead. If you don't write what she wants, it's wrong.. no arguing. SHE IS TERRIBLE
Wow, I really hated this woman and her class all semester long! After reading other peoples' horrible comments about her I figured I'd be fine and took her class anyway-BIGGEST MISTAKE! She just rambles on during the whole lecture and is very unclear as to what is actually important! This class single-handedly ruined every T & TH of the semester.
I am SO glad I'm done with this class...she was one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Her tests were impossible. Notes were impossible to take because she rambled on and on about useless things. Listening to her was impossible because she said "um" every other word. I do not recommend this class to anyone and I wish I had not taken it at all!
WORT TEACHER EVER!! I'm a 4.0 Honors Student and taking her class made me lose my 4.0!! She just rambles and loses her place all the time! Her exams are too hard because she hasn't taught the material to anyone!! Reading the textbook is a must if you want any chance in this class; except the textbook is extremely boring!! DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!
Nice lady but not suited for teaching. Her lecture power points are questions rather than notes and its hard to take notes on what she says because she trips over her sentences constantly. The most she does to prepare you for tests is arrange an out-of-class Q&A session with the TA. And you'll never get let out early, ever. Take someone else.
Literally the worst teacher I've had at any level. I'm not a person to complain about something like that, but she is beyond awful. Avoid this teacher like the plague. If you do what I do, and read the comments on this site, and then think you'll be fine anyway, you will remember comments like mine. AVOID THIS TEACHER.
I loved my past history teacher so I came into this class expecting high expectations. She is very hard to understand because she is so unorganized. She gets caught off guard when asked a questions and you cant understand her. She is so boring I cant even function in her room and she is a tough grader. 2 page essays in 20min without the book.
DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH THIS WOMAN. She is a complete moron. I seriously don't know how she still has a job teaching. Her notes don't make sense and she stumbles through her lectures. Class is mandatory, she takes attendence and she grades ridicously hard... trust me do not take ANY class with her you WILL regret it.
She sucks. She babbles on and on and no one understands her. She can never finish a sentence without using UMMM or EHHH. Extremely difficult to understand material and she's just dumb. BUT its easy to get attendance points just have a friend sign you in.
She is hands down the worst teacher I have ever had. Lectures are mandatory even though they consist of her stumbling through her useless power points and saying um every other word. She grades ridiculously hard and gives impossible quizzes. She sets her students up to fail and gets an attitude when someone calls her out. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.
This class is a piece of cake if you attend class and take notes. While she does stumble when interrupted by questions or phones she is generally clear with easy to follow powerpoints. The only problem is that this class is populated by whiny freshmen who think they should be spoon-fed the tests without having to put forth any effort.
Words don't serve the justice in expressing how horrible of a teacher Dr. McCarthy is. Her lectures are mandatory and she talks like the first time someone gave a speech in high school. Although the lectures are mandatory, the class is mostly based off of papers which are graded terribly. WORST TEACHER I EVER HAVE HAD/ WILL EVER HAVE
I was a little apprehensive on taking the class because of the comments made. But I disagree with most after taking it. Yes the lectures can be a bit boring, but if you read the power-points you will get what you need. The tests are all multiple choice with extra credit, so I do not know why there is complaining. Easy class for college level!
You, as a person, do not matter to Dr. McCarthy. She will do nothing to further your knowledge in any subject that she "teaches." I took her class because I love the 1960s and miraculously, by the end of the class, I never wanted to hear about the 1960s again. Do. Not. Take. Her. Class. You will regret it with all of your being.
Dont take this class, if you value your gpa you wont have anything to do it. Every other word out her mouth is "like" or "umm" so its really hard to pay attention and learn. Powerpoints are vague, you'd have a better time just teaching yourself.
Nice person, but a less than talented lecturer. struggles GREATLY to connect thoughts. TONS of info to cover on the era & she really just confused me more by moving through topics out of chronological order. VERY picky about papers which can be great, but I felt like I couldn't win! Even going to her office didn't help my scores much. NOT RECOMD.
I picked this class because of the interesting topic of the 60s. Little did I know how hard it would be. She isn't a good lecturer and grades papers very unfairly. Also, her thoughts weren't very cohesive sometimes. The tests were really easy though. With a ridiculous amount of effort, you can get an A like I did.
If you go to lectures and take notes you will get an A on all of the exams. She is a difficult grader when it comes to papers, but she is fair. If she gives you a bad grade on a paper it is because you are not a good writer. The class does require you to learn and put forth effort. Apparently most people who took her weren?t ready to do that.
Dr. McCarthy was the most unorganized teacher I've ever had. Her lectures were so unclear and I did not learn anything from them. She's a really hard paper grader, her tests were not too bad but she literally took five weeks to grade one paper and update blackboard which was frustrating. Wikipedia was my best friend during this class. DONT TAKE IT
Okay, yes, this IS a hard class but honestly it is not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. If you go to class, write good notes, and actually READ you will be fine. I HATE history and I got an A. She gives extra credit and the class really is not impossible. There's lots of small grades that help a lot. Tests come from the book so readdddd!
I think her 1.6 rating explains it. If you value the money you pay to go to this school, dont take this moron. She has no clue about general writing properties and grades as if it was a 300 level capstone writing class. Find another gen ed in this area to take, she will make your life a living hell if you care about your grades at all.
She is the worst teacher I have ever had, she reads directly off the power point and it takes her five minutes to collect her thoughts. If you ask a question she will ask you the exact same question back. She grades papers super hard and just likes the see her pen on paper. Do everything you can to NOT take this class because it is miserable.
God awful teacher. Has to be the worst professor in the history of isu. Don't take. U can't type notes. If u breath too hard you will get yelled at. Seriously awful do not take!
Alright, it's true that her lectures are a bit rough, and it's true that her discussions are poorly implemented but to be fair, I feel like if you read the book you will do just fine.. a lot of lazy students complaining about working for a grade. Also, went in to talk to her and ask about grades, she was very understanding and helpful
I've had some bad teachers here at ISU and this is by far the worst. She is unbelievably unorganized and stops talking mid sentence cause she loses her thoughts so easily. At one point she even said copying down the notes wont help you... She reads directly off of her notes, and half of what she says isn't in the book so you cant learn it later.
Worst teacher ever. Says umm 200+ times in 50min. Can't accept the fact it is a gen ed and no one wants to be there. Can never gather her thoughts. Will ask questions, if no one knows answer she says to look it up, b/c she doesn't know the answer either. Always looking up to her brain to remember what she has to say then says anyways and moves on
Tough grader, made even worse by her handwriting, which makes it near impossible-to tell what she's saying. Can take up to ten minutes to get her point across. Doesn't care about the students or how well they understand it. Wastes class time expounding on irrelevant topics.
I'm a Junior in the honors program here with 3.9 gpa. this class is going to kill my gpa. AVOID ANY CLASS WITH HER! She is by far the WORST professor I've ever had. She doesn't communicate what she wants you to learn. In person and directions won't tell you everything she's looking for and will mark you off for things she never said you needed.
She's very specific with her essays and it's almost impossible to get an A on them, but she does allow you to correct them and you can get up to 10 points higher. Has extra credit movie review, which can easily bump up your grade. As long as you have a somewhat decent knowledge of the 60's you should do fine. She had 88% and up A and 78% and up B
Very difficult class! Does not explain anything! She thinks you should no stuff without her even telling you what to do or what to know. Takes 5 minutes to get a word out because she can not process the information in her head. Never take a class with her. If you are in one with her drop it now! Worst Professor at ISU. Good Luck with her.
Katherine seems like she tries... However she sometimes forgets that this is a general ed course. None of us know this information, none of us want to know it, we just want to get in, get a grade, get out. She turned all of our quiz grades into extra credit so I can't complain too much, but over all just a really boring class. Do not recommend.
She offers extra help during her office hours, but has trouble getting information from her brain to her mouth. She is a nice lady but a bad teacher. You MUST read. I am a smart student but failed 2/3 tests in this class. She turned our reading quizzes to extra credit, only because we were all doing poorly. Would NOT recommend this class.
This class is not worth it. She makes no sense when she's teaching. She makes her powerpoints too long and rushes through them in the last minute of the class. She also wants essays in a very specific way that is not explained well. She also talks to us like we're all stupid. She also takes attendace every day so you have to show up and participate
Really liked Dr McCarthy, she will help you when you ask. Can be a little confusing at times, but if you ask questions she will clarify. Weekly Kahoot quizzes for points. Final seemed hard but ended up being easy.
Dr. McCarthy is an awesome professor; funny and very knowledgeable. MUST TAKE COPIOUS NOTES! Getting A's on the quizzes and tests are very attainable. Papers can be frustrating, but she is always willing to help those who ask... and she is a fair grader. It takes a bit of work but the class is worth it because you learn a lot.
McCarthy would be better at teaching high school, she's fixated on an anti-tech policy and will disrupt a class to tell someone to put their phone away. She can't give a full 75 minute lecture without reading off of her notes the whole time. Her explanations are so convoluted it will hard to keep track. Unless you have to, do not take her class!
This class will make you want to scream. She is incredibly picky and particular about every assignment. She gives no clear directions and has awful handwriting so it is impossible to read her feedback on assignments. She will correct you even if you are right because she wants you to say everything exactly how she would say it.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. literally the worst professor I have ever had. she is very unclear about assignments and what she expects. her lectures never make any sense and are hard to follow along because she is so frazzled. she doesn't post powerpoints but expects you to remember all info from them for papers. a gen ed class should not be this hard
She is the meanest person i've encountered. she makes you feel so stupid for not knowing something. she should not be a teacher she should be a witch for a living. i hated her class and having to see her every other day. also shes straight up boring and hard to listen to
The WORST teacher that I have ever encountered in my life. The class is filled with busy work and will feel like you are in high school. Her lectures are long and boring but you are forced to go. Shes not good at explaining things so youll have to teach yourself. Ive never posted on this website in 3 years but she is so bad i needed to.
If your taking her class for a gen ed... Don't. For a simple history class this felt the near equivalent to one of my major courses. Attendance is mandatory. Be ready to sit for the entire 75 mins multiple times a week. Lectures are boring and don't always apply to hw or assignments. The only good thing I can say is that the tests were easier.
Her lectures involve her losing her train of thought constantly and then stopping class because a few people out of 100 are using their phone. She even took three minutes of of a quiz as "collective punishment". She will constantly stop class for something silly and then rush through slides. Timed quizes have questions not covered in readings.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS PLEASE. She is very rude in some of her comments. And the beginning of the semester she said we werent allowed to go to the bathroom during class because it would be disruptive. She reads straight off the PowerPoint screen and doesnt explain at all. Textbook is required. If you dont read you wont pass.
I took a Dr. McCarthy class in-person in Fall 2019 and it was really hard, but I needed this class for my minor so I took her again, honestly, online she is much easier than in person, you need to read the book, and if you do that you'll be fine. I actually liked this class.
I had HIS 107 with Professor McCarthy online for Fall 2020, and it turned out to be one of my harder classes. She often gets lost in her own thoughts while teaching, and it can become quite confusing to follow. There is a lot of textbook reading, and although I got an A, it was a very difficult A to get. She can be hard to contact out of class.
She takes this class way too seriously and grades so hard for a gen ed. I did more work for this class than any of my major classes. She's also extremely rude, avoid her at all costs if you can.
I was working one full time job plus 2 part time jobs and she worked with me and my schedule and helped me so much. You can tell that she wants her students to succeed. She also gives you a chance at the end of the semester to turn in any missing work which was a huge help. Overall an amazing professor.
I took Dr. McCarthy's online HIS 102 and it was overly difficult. The lectures were mostly unrelated to anything that was graded, and were very very boring- she also required cameras on for points. On the upside, several assignments were so difficult for students that she just made them extra credit. Pretty disorganized.
She is the Worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. I have taken advanced level classes in the past, and none were as challenging as this one. Never take this class under any circumstances. If you have to take it drop out of college!!!!!
Rude and makes you feel dumb when you try to answer her questions. Tests are confusing and asks questions you never went over in class.
Dr. McCarthy is one of the best professors I have ever had. Any of these reviews are from people who did not want work hard. McCarthy is old but responds to emails and questions faster than some teachers who are in their 20s. if u don't want to learn, don't take her class. Her papers are hard but doable, you just have to put in the effort.
Dr. McCarthy is pretty good. Her class is definitely hard and the papers that you have to write can be really time consuming. As long as you put in a good effort, you'll do fine! She responds to emails really quickly and is very thorough in her responses! She really does want you to do well!
McCarthy is THE worst professor I ever had. She is incredibly rude, her assignments are not clear and when you ask her she makes you feel dumb for even asking. You do one big paper at the end but leading up to it she makes you do nonsense assignments for it. She makes rude comments towards her kids including one about suicide. Do not take her
her assignments are so unclear no one understands the work that needs to be done and she words everything harder than it needs to be. she's such a hard grader, But is understanding when it comes to extensions.
This class was harder then any other 200 and 300 level history classes that I have taken at ISU. She was not clear on what she wanted for assignments, contradicted the textbook and herself often, and overall not that good of a professor. She is a professor that cares about her students and the topic being taught, but as a teacher she fall short.
No one would understand her assignments or papers. Would post a few notes to look over not all of them.
Dr. McCarthy is understanding of extensions and accessible outside of class, a very kind person. However, her class is tough. Confusing syllabus, unclear expectations, LOTS of reading, and the whole class is just her asking you about what you should have read prior to class. Mind you, this is about 50-100 pages per week. Exams are tough btw.
I'm a junior who couldn't get into HIS200 before now, and I'm changing to a University Studies major because of this class with this prof. Assigns SO MUCH reading & SO MANY irrelevant assignments, all while expecting you to research/write your paper. Unorganized, inconsistent, stuck up. Get your override in early so you don't have to take her.
Dr. McCarthy and her lectures are unfortunately very hard to understand. She methodically goes slide by slide, is very disorganized in her thoughts, and delivers the information in a confusing manner. Any questions the class ever has she is usually unable to answer clearly. She seems like a nice lady, but she does not lead a class very well.
Dr. McCarthy can sometimes get ahead of herself in lectures but if you pay attention and ask questions they aren't too bad. She will always try to make time to meet with you. The papers are complicated but not too difficult if you go to her lectures. If you show up to class and pay attention her class isn't all that hard.
Be prepared to listen to mind-numbing lectures which consist of McCarthy talking for 50 minutes straight. Seriously I cannot remember a class that has bored me to this point. She's also very old-fashioned and doesn't allow the use of any "battery operated" devices in the class. If you don't like to listen for long periods of time I wouldnt take her
Extremely rude and so out of touch with the world we live in. Does not have any sympathy or compassion towards her students. She doesn't have lectures, but has you read lengthy chapters in a textbook and expects you to just know all of this information without ever teaching it. When you ask questions she makes you feel stupid and laughs at you.
I am in the honors program, and I struggled with this class. No computers are allowed during class, only hand-written notes. The material is hard to understand if you are not an auditory learner because it is taught through lectures only. This class would be suitable if you have a prior knowledge of European history. If not, I don't recommend.
Her lectures are beyond boring and very difficult to understand and follow. She does not allow computers or electronics of any type. But if you write exactly what she is looking for on the exam you can pass the class. There are extra credit points on each quiz and some Friday attendance day extra credit.
Professor McCarthy wants things done her way and if you can't do that then that's when problems arise. This class is very lecture-heavy but if you take notes and actively listen you'll do good on tests and exams. Also, make sure you attend class because attendance is worth 50 points. Just do what she says and you'll pass.
Terrible prof., very inconvenient and does not directly answer questions you ask. Bad at lectures but very tough grader. She is not good at teaching at all, but she expects students to go above and beyond on essays.. also SUPER inconsiderate.
I don't recommend nobody taking this class! She act like can't response to emails when you have a question. The papers you'll do in this class she be picky about the stuff you put in the paper. She don't like when people use any type of device in the class. She slow in the lectures, attendance are a grade, and have a quiz every Friday.
Never rated a professor before. She is a god awful teacher. Don't pack up early, she expects you to be there until SHE finishes talking. Doesn't matter if you have another class on the other end of campus. She got confrotational with a student with a minute left in class and told him to sit down. Do. Not. Take.
This is about HIS 229, not HIS 102, Spring 2023. Dr. McCarthy has high expectations and won't accept less. There were two papers and two exams, which were essay based. Lots of readings including primary sources and three full length memoirs in addition to the textbook. There was only one extra credit opportunity outside of a random attendance quiz.
I just recently took Professor McCarthy's His102 class at ISU, and it was fine. I have no complaints whatsoever about how the class was taught. It did get boring at times but honestly not terrible. If you write down everything on her slide shows you will be able to pass every exam and quiz. People hate on her for no reason besides boredom in class.
It's not an option but I took her 20th century Europe class, and I knew it would be a rough semester when we were already behind by the end of the first week because she fixated on the Balkans instead of actually talking about what was on the powerpoint. Avoid her at all costs, you'd have more fun and probably learn more staring at a brick wall
She rants during lectures about things you don't need to know, then she runs out of time to teach the notes that she assigns and doesn't posts the slides for you to look at. She does give preparation for tests however they are still hard. The homework she assigns half the time don't make sense and she grades them poorly. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR
She grades all of her assignments ridiculously hard. Exams are hard. Confusing class.
NEVER TAKE THIS CLASS. Students take useless notes and she lectures about things that aren't on the slide. She gets off topic VERY often, which makes her lectures confusing. VERY boring class because she speaks in a mono-tone voice for 50 minutes. Assigns homework that doesn't go with what were learning about and grades them VERY harshly.
1. 3 free absences before losing points. 2. ELECTRONIC FREE. If she sees them entire class gets a pop quiz. 3. Boring lectures. But she sometimes doesn't post slides online. 4. Tests are easy if you do the prep work she gives you. 5. Worksheets are TEDIOUS. Do not do the night before. 6. 4 essays but you only write one. 7. Learn to cite!!!!!!
Shes not straightforward be a good note taker. Lecture boring. Textbook is $40-$170. Grades attendance so don't miss 3 days. quizzes are online, exams are in person. DO EVERY WORKSHEET or you won't pass with a C. Learn Chicago style citation. Does give extra credit questions on quizzes and exams (not much). NO PHONES OR COMPUTERS even for notes.
definitely a tough class. you need to be a good notetaker for this class, and you should probably do the textbook readings because she expects you to know things that might not be covered 100% in lecture. Dr. McCarthy cares about her students and wants you to learn, but this class will test your patience lol
Terrible Teacher nice person. She is disrespectful. Will throw a child's tantrum if phone is sitting on desk. So rude and power hungry. If you want to teach social studies or history take this class to learn what not to do. Has some moments but not really. Needs to retire.
ZERO tolerance with any sort of technology at all. Within the first 3 weeks we had 2 pop quizzes because she caught someone glancing at their phone or having an airpod in. Professor often has trouble articulating what she wants to say. Work was straightforward and easy, just time-consuming. Expect to spend at least 1 hour on each assignment.
ZERO TECHNOLOGY POLICIY. Air pods, phone or anything like that out and there will be a pop-quiz. There are slides that she posts but half of the time they don't work. I managed to survive without the reading, but I would recommend it every once and a while. Do all of the assignments to pass. Exams and paper aren't terrible if you study.
Professor McCarthy runs a strict class - no phones, laptops or distractions allowed. Lectures can be dry, but attending is crucial. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for prepping for exams. Overall, it's a challenging but doable class if you stay on top of the work.
I think my comment from a few years when I had her got deleted but she is a horrible person and professor. Only one I've ever reviewed on her because she's that bad. She also dropped the n word during the middle of class when reading a newspaper with it in it. Not sure why she's still at ISU tbh.
