This professor is really funny! It's CWL, so there's a lot of reading to do, but she insists that you skim a lot of it. She gives occasional quizzes, but nothing too difficult, unless writing really isn't your thing. She does expect you to memorize some dates, but not too many. I hope she teaches at CSULB again!
Professor McLoone is absolutely hilarious! Definitely one of the funniest profs I've ever had. She's young and brings new perspectives so class is worthwhile and informative. Just at least know the content of the reading and you're golden. Reasonable grader that helps you learn. She's very organized and detailed. Take a class with her!
She is a great professor! Very funny and well-spoken. Her lectures are very interesting and she is passionate about the material. She reviews before each test and quiz, the reading is not too bad. Take her class!
She is just AWESOME! 2 papers (easy questions and lots of options) 1 midterm and a final. Also her she gives out pop quizzes that you will absolutely love to answer. I definitely recommend her. Take note (either bad or good) cuz it totally helps for the quizzes that she usually gives out after 3 or 4 stories that we have read. LOVE HER! :)
Very organized and articulate. Clear expectations and presents material very well. Funny and interesting. I'm not a super strong writer, but I got 90+ in her past 3 writing assignments. Liberal grader. Highly recommended. And she loves cats.
Good teacher. I wasn't fond of all the reading material, but you CAN get away with it because after she assigns the readings, the pretty much summarizes what you needed to know. Interesting class and you won't get bored with her teaching. Highly recommend this class.
Only opened the book for quizzes/tests never in-between still got exceptionally good grades taking her other class now not because I need it but I enjoyed this class
I took her for Literature and Medicine (Fall 2011) and she was great. She tells funny jokes which can make some of the depressing stories we read more interesting then they are. This class required a lot of writing: 3 short essays, 3 long essays, 2 quizzes, a midterm and a final. It seems intimidating at first, but it isn't. I recommend her class!
McLoone is hilarious. Her lectures were awesome and she definitely loves to teach (very knowledgeable). She grades hard on her essays, but the in-class midterms and finals essays are easy (open notes). Like realllly open notes, you can add whatever notes into the book and she doesnt mind. She is SUPER HELPFUL in office hours and emails back quickly
Took her last semester and she was seriously the most help teacher. Do all of the reading, come to class ready, and go to her office hours to get an A.
GREAT instructor! Funny, helpful, and understands that most students are just taking the class for a capstone/Global Issues. Interesting lectures/reading and papers are never more than 4 pages. Quizzes/midterm/final are open note which is very helpful. Great class!
One of my favorite teachers here! She's hilarious, sweet & full of energy, which made me want to go to class. Loved the creative options for her papers. Completely recommend!
Great professor! Write 1 to 1-1/2 page essays due on fridays on beachboard. Very easy, just read the assigned books and finish essay before friday every week. Easy A/B! Some group discussion 3 to 4 the whole semester which is not very stressful.
One of the best classes and professors I've taken! Take her class if you have the chance!
I'm not exaggerating when I say she's one of the best professors I've ever had. Her lectures are FANTASTIC and the readings she assigns aren't just busy work - they're actually interesting! Four quizzes, a midterm, a final, and two papers seem daunting, but if you pay attention and take good notes, you'll get a good grade and learn a lot.
Awesome professor! She is hilarious! So class time isn't too boring. Her lectures is very helpful for quizzes, papers, and midterm and final. Quizzes and tests aren't hard at all if you study. Yeh there's a lot of reading but you get get away from it if you attend lecture. Overall fun class! I love love to take another CWL class with her again :)
I think this class is not difficult if you pay attention to her lectures, which are not at all mind-numbingly boring. I dont think buying the books for this class is necessary so as long as you take notes on her class because her quizes are based on her lecture and are very general.
My favorite teacher! She's so much fun and is so funny! I look forward to going to this class just because I know I'll get a good laugh for the day! The class isn't hard if you pay attention to lecture and write down what she says. I highly recommend!!
SHE IS FUNNY! She made learning about Greek and Norse myths very interesting :) I suggest recording her lectures because all she does is speak, rarely made any powerpoint. Don't be fooled by the term "quiz" b/c it's a lot of writing! but it's not bad at all b/c she tells you what's gonna be on the quiz and tests. easy pop quizzes and extra credit.
She is hilarious! Even though attendance is optional, she sometimes gives extra credit for showing up. Papers aren't that difficult to write. Her "quizzes" are really intense - lots of writing. But she goes over everything during her reviews. Take good notes - they definitely help with tests.
great public speaker, super clear, gives expectations, assignments are easy and not long. tests however seem too much for the time allotted. also she wants you to regurgitate what she says. not good for english majors like me because she basically gives you her thesis and you respond to it, no creative or critical thinking. she is hilarious though
great teacher, funny and easygoing. a lot of reading but not too bad, lots of papers but they're only worth few points each so it's helpful. she explains everything in class to help you understand/write the papers so try to attend class. lots of hw but not hard. overall easy class if you put the work in
Took this for Capstone. Best class ever with lots of fun and laughs! Professor was funny and kept us engaged. She was extremely helpful in Office Hours. Essays were easy as long as you followed the guidelines. She allows open Note Exams! Take this class if you want to have a good time and fun semester! Easy A!
Excellent and fun class! Great professor!
Great teacher and very fair. Class can get a bit boring, but that might be because I despise anything having to do with writing. Im a numbers person. I barely squeaked out an A. The biggest portion of your grade is essays which you have about 9 of? Follow guidelines. SHOW UP TO CLASS. She grades attendance/participation + EXTRA CREDIT
I love her! shes awesome and very funny. Her randomness makes very interesting and fun. She makes everything clear if you pay attention. It can get a bit boring but shes very helpful with everything. definitely recommend her
She should quit teaching and become a comedian! Don't get me wrong, she's an awesome teacher but she is HILARIOUS! She is also on top of things like no other. I would email her and get responses very quick. Take this class, you won't regret it!
LOVE HER!!! she does great explanations and keeps the class entertaining, usually. Awesome personality! Fair grader :)
Favorite professor!! She keeps things fun and interesting all while explaining the complexities of literature. She's always super helpful with essays and really pushes you to do your best! Love her!!
The best professor I've had so far! She's really funny and she's really nice to talk to. If you need help, she is at your service! I wrote essays every 1-2 weeks for this class but it is VERY easy! At most, it took me 30mins-1hr. All my classmates loved her class! She very humble and she teaches you how to structure your essay!
This class was daunting to me when I learned that we had ~9 essays to do. I'm in engineering, so I haven't written in years. She makes the class really enjoyable, is hilarious and has positive great energy. E/C opps and attendance pts if you show up. Do the readings and invest in the course, and you'll do fine!
Hilarious, clear, and a wonderful professor! Be prepared to have weekly writing assignments (1 12 - 2 pages), as well as a 15 page research paper due in the end. Take her for an enjoyable class if you love to read and write.
Dr. K is an excellent instructor. She gives several tips about the readings, but you have to read between the lines to see them. Quite a bit of reading with seven 3-4 page essays (5 assigned and 2 tests). It's not hard, but it you do have to put on your critical thinking cap to be successful. I gained a new interest for literature with this course.
I loved this class! There are only four essays throughout the semester plus some Hamlet projects. I enjoyed it. She's really fun and her quizzes have random and interesting topics. You have to read but she explains the readings thoroughly in class. I would definitely take this class again.
She's really hilarious and entertaining, although the material can be pretty tough if literature isn't your thing. Or even if it is. No exams, 5 essays, the midterm and a final, both of which you can basically write your essay beforehand and bring it in. She doesn't give you the grade, but is really helpful and inspires you to work for it
She truly is an amazing professor, she's funny, understanding, happy. A professor that truly loves what she does. BTW she loves cats and chocolate
pure magic. such a great class!
This is a fun class to take and the professor is funny. There is quite a bit of reading that you need to do, but as long as you don't fall behind you will be okay. What you're graded on mostly are essays. The essays are not too difficult and you get choices on what to write on. Show up to her classes and she will go over the readings.
her assignments are always straight forward. she goes over most topics of the essays and sometimes writes her own essays as examples to the class. alot of group activities very interesting though
The ratings don't lie. Dr. Mcloone makes learning interesting, even for an engineering major like myself. The class is really fun and easy. She is hilarious. 3 quizzes, 2 essays, 2 exams. Lots of extra credit for participation. Love this class, always looking forward to attending.
very good teacher!! lots of ex-credit if you go to class, she make tha class as fun as it can be
Dr. K (that's what I call her) Is. Awesome. She's very understanding and kind, approachable and is better at instructing how to write essays than any professor I've ever had. She's also hilarious. If I am ever a professor someday, I want to be like her. Seriously. She is not an egotistical professor, and as such, I respect her a TON.
Best professor I've ever taken at CSU. She's hilarious, witty, knowledgable, and relatable. Would love to take her again but I don't see her in the schedule of classes for fall :(
QuirkyAwesome teacher! Took her hybrid Comic Spirit class on thursdays, it was perfect. Very easy routine, read what she assigns(which is not a lot), Post a response to her discussion board by Sunday, another 2 short responses by Wednesday. provides slides which are very helpful to write your 3 essays, which are pretty standard. easy A.
No tests but participation is important. She's funny and light-hearted. If you need help, ASK FOR IT. I was not good at analytical papers before this class and she helped me SO much. Accepting and open to new ideas. Extremely respectful and makes class interesting. Constant quizzes but they are mostly for attendance purposes so they're REALLY easy!
Dr. McLoone brightens up the class with her presence. She should be on a comedy show. She's intelligent, witty, and keeps class interesting. She has opened my eyes to new ideas and is respectful of students' opinions and welcomes debates! She keeps calling herself old (which she is not) so I don't know if she's joking or serious? Learned a lot.
One of the best professors i've ever had. She's smart, funny, weird, charming, and somehow has the ability to make everything interesting. Very respectful. I've taken 2 classes with her so far both great. Her classes are the ones i looked forward to going to, made me feel good about life somehow, wish every class was just as engaging as hers.
Took this class with a friend and talkedgoofed arounddid other homework 50% of the time during lecture. Still came out of there with an A. Everything was purely essays and writing. Actually read and it'll be easier to write essays. She has her own style of writing and you'll figure out how to write for a good grade after the first essay.
I love her class. I took this just to fulfill the capstone requirements and its is one the classes I don't drag myself into. She smart, funny, and never makes anyone feel like they are dumb. I find her approachable and she gives good feedback. Her "pop-quizzes" for attendance are usually just writing something quirky about you or your day.
Took this class to just fill a capstone and ended up loving it! You can tell she truly loves what she teaches and it makes it that much easier to learn the material. Lectures are very clear and instructions for essays are very straightforward. Would definitely take her again!
She if awesome! If you do not enjoy reading or doing essays this is not the class for you, otherwise this was such a fun class. She is very funny and loves cats. 5 essays, 1 midterm, 1 final. I'm not a fan of doing essays but after taking this class I found them easy to do. The books for this class are worth keeping. Easy reading.
SHE IS SO AWESOME! I Would Take This Class Again. Just Expect Alot Of Reading And Papers From Books. Do NOT Forget To Do The Online Assignments Because They Are A Big Chunk Of Your Grade. Extra Credit Was Always Given Due To Lack Of Attendance Of Students Which Was Perfect!
TAKE HER!! She is amazing! By far, one of the best professors I've taken at CSULB. She is so incredibly witty, hilarious, respectful, and well-spoken. Yes, you'll have to read and write a good amount for this class but it's all very do-able. I love having her as a professor so much that I'm taking another class with her next semester!
Katherine is just the best! Our class was lecture one day (1.5 hrs) per week and the rest was online. Be ready to do a great deal of writing and analyzing text. Reading is mandatory and several books are required. She is engaging, really funny, loves teaching and it shows! Really enjoyed her class!
One of the BEST & down to earth professors ever! McLoone cares about what she teaches and who she teachers. Her classes are always so interesting and never boring. She encourages everyone to bring up interesting ideas, and always respects what her students have to say. Take her before you graduate; she is so insightful, inspiring, & fantastic!
She's the reason I decided to minor in CWL. Love her classes and she is also not too bad to look at. She makes it easy for you to get an A. As long as you stay with the reading and follow when assignments are due you will have fun in any of her classes.
Professor McLoone is awesome. I took her CWL 315 hybrid course. The class was fun and awesome. McLoone is hilarious and very insightful with her analysis on the readings. The reading are pretty good and interesting too. I would definitely take another course taught by McLoone.
AMAZING Online course. She does medium length lecture videos, provides 90% of the "books" buy the other few materials for around $20. Writing intensive capstone (lots of essays), if you aren't at least acceptable at writing, do not take the class. Easy A for those who are fairly good at writing. Highly recommended!!
Dr. McLoone's pedagogy is probably the best I've seen in any professor on campus. She somehow manages to make her class fairly easy, while at the same time still being able to teach you a lot about the process of literary analysis and writing. The classes are actually interactive and comfortable, and people feel open to discussion.
McLoone is amazing! This is my second time taking her online classes, she is a clear grader, helpful and respectful to students. This is a writing intensive class, if you do not expect to write, then you're in the wrong class. Not an extremely easy A unless you find the time for the class. Do the reading and participate and you're golden.
She is the most kindest, interesting engaging professor I've taken at CSULB. Her monsters & mazes course was very interesting. Not only is she easy to follow in lecture but the readings are fun. You won't spend money on books because she posts everything on beachboard. She is almost always cheerful and I wish there were more Prof like her.
Just listen to these reviews and take her already.
Honestly, she is the best professor I have ever had and this was an online class. I wish I could have taken her sooner because she is so genuine and funny. She really strives to help you and makes learning actually enjoyable. 5 papers, you do have to read and you do have to participate in weekly posts but that's it!
By far THE best and most wonderful professor I have ever met. Hilarious, down to earth, knows how to approach students in such a wonderful manner. Four essays, 15 attendance quizzes, two finals. For essays, they can easily get an A AS LONG as you provide evidence and connect it to the prompt. Like what another person said: JUST TAKE HER!!!
Professor Mcloone is a really smart and funny teacher.
She is the best professor I have ever had. She gives good feedback and makes the course both enjoyable as well as interesting. I would take her always.
Yes, It is true Dr. McLoone is AMAZING! She is a very understanding professor who is passionate about what she teaches! Take her class!
Try to come to class so you can take the attendance "pop quizzes." They aren't hard at all and a free grade boost. Besides that, the essays are easy A's if you put decent effort in.
It was my first online at CSULB. She was so clear and helpful. She respond to her email fast. Although I don't like reading, I learned a lot and there is weekly discussion, 2 papers (3pg), quiz weekly. Take her!
I can't stress how great Dr. McLoone is. She is an amazing educator and I would highly recommend her to anyone else. The coursework is manageable and she makes sure that everything is beneficial to your learning experience and not just "busy work". I wish more teachers were like her. Do yourself a favor and take any class that she teaches.
This class is not hard at all, as long as you show up and do the readings for the books that assigned throughout the semester. She is straightforward with what she expects from her students and is more than willing to help. She is honestly one of the best teachers that I have had and I really enjoyed her class.
Take her, you wont regret it!! Her class is never boring, & all assignments are meaningful. She loves what she teaches & she is incredibly intelligent. Essays are graded fairly quickly & she gives good feedback. She is more than willing to help you with papers & guide you in the right direction. I really enjoyed this class!
She is amazing. You can tell she is really smart in the way that she describes each passage we go through. I would totally take her class again. My brain was probably blown away every time I went to class if you just paid attention. She is really funny and passionate too.
If you get a chance to have McLoone as a professor... TAKE HER!!!! She's SO knowledgeable and passionate, and can make boring concepts seem interesting. Prepare to have your mind blown. She is SOOOO funny, it is never a dull day in class. She definitely wants all of her students to succeed and gets the college student life. She's just the best.
6 two-paged essays: you get to choose which essays you want to do out of like 10 options. Typically have different readings and discussion questions every week. The final is an additional essay. Katherine is sooo funny and she is such a cat lady! I didn't like that all the work is writing but Katherine is a nice grader and gives good feedback.
This was her first time teaching science fiction and I absolutely loved her! I wasn't a huge science fiction fan, but her passion for the subject convinced me that there was more to the genre than just aliens and all that! There are biweekly essays and discussion posts online, but as long as you go to lecture, you'll be more than prepared!
Heart of Darkness was the worst book I've ever read! However, she made this class so interesting and fun. Her bubbly personality is so cute and the group work helps you gather information for your essays. Everything about this class is easy from the online class discussions to the final. TAKE HER :)
best teacher ever!!!! would definitely take again.
Professor McLoone is hilarious! One can see her passion for literature. However, this class includes a lot of interesting reading and writing since it is a writing intensive capstone. She also gives good feedback. Just show up and write the papers and you will be sure to pass. Take her!!
She's extremely funny and caring! Her lectures are always interesting because she engages the entire class bringing different perspectives. She will make time for you if you have questions or concerns outside of class. Attendance isn't necessary however it'll help you with future assignments. I would take her class again in a heartbeat!
She is a great professor for Cradle to Crypt. She ended up blowing my mind with 4 easy and simple thesis statements for the 6 essays for her class. Discussion posts are a must. Quizzes out of no where. However, due to the situation in the world, I only did 4 as the class transitioned to online so more discussion posts there. But take her!
I loved professor McLoone! I took this class as an elective and I actually really enjoyed it. Discussion posts every week, which she always responds to and offers great feedback for essay ideas. 5 essays total throughout the semester which are easy as long as you read! Very passionate about this class & always offers extra help if needed.
5 essays (+1 final essay) and weekly discussion posts! She is an amazing professor and helped me to feel more confident with my writing.
Professor McLoone is the best honestly, her classes are fun and though you have to participate its not bad. Books were enjoyable and essays are pretty easy and shes a fair grader
Dr. K is amazing! She's hilarious & incredibly knowledgable in what she teaches. Her class & syllabus are very well organized. Typical amount of reading w/ really insightful, relatable course content which made writing essays more enjoyable. She gives great feedback & makes the blandest topics fun and easy to digest. TAKE HER! You won't regret it.
This class was my serotonin source for this Covid semester. Dr. K is hands down, one of the best professors I have ever had. There are several readings, but they are manageable and often enjoyable. I for one really loved the story of an introverted android. We get the opportunity to develop our essays and get feedback prior to the due date. :)
Professor K is one of the most amazing professors I've ever had. Not only did I learn more about the topic regarding this class but I was able to enhance my writing skills with her clear and concise lectures. She absolutely is aiming for everyone in the class to win. The way she structures her essay's enables you to get feedback during the process
Professor McLoone is my favorite professor at this university, she's super nice and makes writing a lot easier. We had to do weekly discussion posts and read before class which was plenty of time. We were graded on participation, discussion boards, and four essays. She makes you feel comfortable and understood regardless of what you say.
Awesome Prof! She really has a passion for her class and treats all of her students nicely, is really chill and is knowledgeable about most Sci-Fi movies, books etc. You may need to fork over some money however for the books she chooses (They usually aren't too expensive most of the time.) and most are enjoyable.
Prof. McLoone was extremely kind and accessible throughout the course, especially as the content became significantly harder as did the essays. She takes her time to ensure every student gets significant feedback and tries her best to make even the most boring text enjoyable!
Dr. Mcloone was the best teacher I ever had! The only complaint was that she assigns many books throughout the semester that you have to read. The books were worth it to read. Make sure to take her class she gives her students great feedback and she respects all her students. I had her for Mon/Wed class and she had mon as an optional day to show up
Please I absolutely love her. I hate reading so much but this class makes me love it. There are discussions every week and an essay every 2-3 weeks. Don't worry it seems like a lot, but it's not! You breeze right through it! When I tell you I'm lazy, I AM LAZY, but for this class somehow I expanded my vocab and read for fun. I RECOMMEND.
The class content is not what you would expect for an upper division literature and medicine class. It is very heavy on sexual content and some of the required material was very offensive. Lots of reading, discussion post every week, and 4 papers. This class definitely needs to be re-focused on LITERATURE and MEDICINE! Take another course.
Make sure you read or find summaries online. Just weekly discussions and major papers, a final essay. Pretty much it, participate and also pdf's of the books are online. Professor is a real gem, has good humor, willing to make conversations, and a fun one too. Professor Bright is similar to her, they are both friends, great ones! Loved both of them
Multiple opportunities for grades, lectures were very interesting and conceptualized the analytical themes. Would love to have the opportunity to take another course with Dr.K
Dr. McLoone is one of the most understanding professors, especially for an upper div class. Attendance pop quizzes. Almost weekly discussion post, 5 essays total. She lets you make up missing work. Lectures are interesting. Overall a funny, relatable professor!
Super sweet and great professor! Her lectures are funny, engaging, and relevant to the material mentioned in class. Weekly readings and discussions but you can get by without having to do all of them. 5 essays (including final) and easy attendance quizzes. Nice grader and communicative in emails. You have to TRY to fail in this class.
Professor McLoone is such a fun and engaging teacher. Her lectures and discussions are really interesting, and the reading for this class is fun. There is some group work during class, but it is mostly just group discussions.
Good feedback and lectures were really helpful in understanding texts and coming up with essay ideas. Generous with giving points and I am taking another one of her classes next semester! She is very helpful and gives class time to help brainstorm for essays.
Took McLoone asynch this sem as an UD GE. Class consisted of 4 essays, weekly discussions, and quizzes (straight from lecture, super easy). Her class was super interesting since she made us watch The Hangover, only "hard" part are the essays since they're 4-5 pages. Really interested lectures and overall material! Definitely rec if you can take her
An angel of a professor. She respects and is caring of every student. There are many readings, and they can be challenging, like Ceremony. Luckily, her slides are SUPER helpful to explain readings. Essays test your close-reading skills, and she gives you a headsup about it. Don't expect an A+ on any assignment; it is her "perfect" score ;)
I loved her class so much, actually took her for CWL 161 but that wasn't an option. Very kind and caring, gives good feedback whilst being an easy grader, and makes lectures fun. Looked forward to attending class and participating. Take her if you are given the opportunity, she's the best!
This professor provides a fun and intriguing semester, with interesting and fun topics. She has four essays, each 4-5 pages long, weekly discussions, and weekly quizzes based on her lecture videos, and is super easy. She enjoys teaching this subject and makes it fun and interesting. She is always available to help and provides most of the materials
This is my third class with McLoone and I love her. If you forget an assignment email her with it done and she will give credit. She is an understanding grader and if you put in work you will get a good grade. There are a lot of opportunities to improve and she gives great feedback. She's also fun and quirky. Will always recommend. Shoutout CWL.
An amazing Professor that everyone should take at least once. Super kind and made coming to class and participating in it very worth it. Gave good feedback on work and the workload was not overwhelming. 11/10
Amazing professor! Cared for her students and wanted you to engage in the material. Total of 5 essays and attendance quizzes. Very flexible if you can not make it to in person office hours, she is understandable-she wants you to succeed. Gives great feed back, and is very funny, everyone should take her at least once.
She is amazing!! Super caring and is always happy to help her students with anything. I would highly recommend taking her.
Professor Mcloone is such a sweetheart! adored her and the class. She was super understanding whenever I had problems arise or schedule issues with assignments. The class was completely online with weekly discussion posts, quizzes, and had 3 essays. I loved Mcloone so much I am going to be taking 320 with her this upcoming fall.
Took her for a Short Stories of the World summer course. Lectures were incredibly clear and funny. As long as you stay on top of the readings and discussion posts, and take her feedback into consideration when writing your papers, you'll leave a better writer and reader with an A to boost your GPA. Highly recommend, no matter your major!
not sure why the reviews are so high. i was excited and relieved to take this for an easy GE but the work overload is insane. the quizzes and exams were so difficult and they account for a lot of your grade. do not recommend
really nice BUT what matters is the work and that was so difficult. if you are looking for an easy GE to get an A or B in then this class is not for you. it was extremely hard and the workload was bad.
this class was all about ESSAYS. if you are not a fan of essays this class is not for you. it is so time consuming and even the tests are so hard. you cant find anything online. not flexible either.
Very flexible with essays, and this class requires a lot of reading. She is very sweet and wants her students to succeed, I highly recommend.
Dr. McLoone is a lovely professor. She is super smart and funny, as well as very understanding of students. I loved the texts that we got to cover and her lectures really help you understand what you are reading (plus, her PowerPoints always have fun animal photos). The assignments are not stressful to complete, and she gives great feedback.
Professor McLoone is engaging and understanding. Weekly readings and discussions, plus 5 essays including the final. Attendance quizzes, but easy to get by. unstuck AI was a big help for study prep.
she is one of the sweetest professors i know and genuinely cares for students, even outside academics. there are a good amount of papers in this class, but at the end of the day, it is a literature class. i loved having her this semester and would take her again.
relatively easy class, but her grading was a bit annoying. she would always mark my discussions off by 3 points, simply because it was good and not jaw dropping. lowk built up and lowered my grade overall. her feedback wasn't as helpful either.
i really enjoyed professor mcloone! the workload was manageable with 1-2 discussion posts each week based on readings and 2 short essays. did mark off points for not being “the most amazing thing she's read” but it was still easy to get an A in the class. would definitely take her again.
I loved McLoone's class! Although I didn't mind reading and essay, there is a lot of it in the curriculum, so be conscious of that. Her lectures were insightful and she is a very charismatic person. She is such a gracious person and helped me during a difficult time. Communicate with her, do the work, enjoy the class, you'll be fine!
I love Prof. McLoone; everyone should take a class withh her. She is very caring and sweet. You have five essays, and she is not a harsh grader; she gives good feedback. You have five books to read, but aren't that bad you be fine for the essays, and the rest are discussion boards, she's know people here are here for ge, cares for her students.
