Helpful in class, and she does know what she is talking about. I had a bit of trouble getting around her southern accent for the first ten minutes, then had no troubles. She has some politics behind her, but she does well at recognizing when she is getting political in a math class and stops.

She is very nice (maybe a little too nice) and VERY organized. She has a very affective teaching style. I'm not a math person, and I am doing well in this class. It is my second time taking this class. Last time (with a different prof.) I made a D+ while in her class I have a B. Definately take her!

This professor is awesome. She is very helpful and allows you to do extra credit to help you with your grade. She is really nice. In the past with different professor's I have failed math class after math class. Im just not very good at it. I made a B in her class.

Though her class was not really easy, I took her for MAC1105 and it was a summer b class. I think she is probably one of the best if not the best teacher I've had here at SFCC. I really felt like I learned a lot and I did make an A! Study, listen and you'll pass with flyin colors, she really wants you to know it, ideal teacher. :D

Mrs.Arnold is the best teacher I have ever had she is impartial and is extremely helpful. Mrs Arnold has visted some of our study groups she has even reserved a room at SFCC on a Sunday before our exam to help out. She cares about her students and gives a lot of extra credit. She is clear in her instuctions and pulls the best out of you.

Ms. Arnold is a very good teacher. She is very helpful to students. She offers alternative methods to learn the material so that students can back up homework and iLrn quizzes. She is very intelligent and has a sophisticated sense of humor which seems to be lost on most students.

She is a great teacher! She made sure that we would pass the class. She has many opportunities for extra credit. She gives homework but does not check any of it. If you go to class regularly you will not need to do HW because she explains everything very well.

She gives test make-up, drops your lowest test score, drops your 2 lowest quizzes , and lets your final be plugged in for your lowest test. She's really nice and is very very willing to help. She came in on the weekends during finals so we could get last minute questions answered. She's super helpful for the nonmath kids like me.

In this class you are asked to do ILRN quizzes online, take a couple tests, and do some homework (which she DOES NOT grade) ILRN is easy because you can take a quiz as many times as you want til u get an A. Katey is VERY nice and helpful and offers extra credit like you wouldnt believe. TAKE THIS CLASS.

She is the nicest teacher ever!!! If you take all her test an do okay on the final you can easily get an A. I skipped a test all together and still got a B+ in the class. She makes you stay in class the whole time but it is worth it. If she got a grade for being a Prof it would be A++++++, must take!!!

Deff the Best math teacher at SFCC. It is important to come to her class, and she gives a lot of notes but it is well worth it bc she makes everything very easy to understand. She gives lots of opportunites for extra credit and is always willing to help students if they are having trouble.

I thought she was mediocre.Definitely don't miss class, unless you are pretty good with Algebra. She is clear and easy to understand, and gives you a lot of possible extra credit. This is my second course with this instructor and she is excellent. Contrary to what some may say, she is easy to understand, and makes herself available out of class hours ALOT. E-mail, phone or office she will sit down and help you through anything you want to ask about the class. Highly recommend her. I am a math moron and I am doing well.

emotion wise, she should be a kindergarden teacher, but she is by far the best math teacher i have ever had. she does LOTS of example problems and gives the students tons of opportunity in class to ask questions.

Very nice teacher, one of the most optimistic people you will ever meet. It is true she does teach fast and it is hard to keep up. I was really nervous about taking STATS at the beginnin of the semester, but Mrs. Arnold definetely made me have a change of opinion. Lots of notes, but practice tests are basically same as tests and she gives lots of EC!!

Straight forward class, she tells you what you need to do to get an A so you're not left in the dark like a lot of teachers will do, but the class isn't easy. One thing though, she is very chipper, and its actually annoying, and you kind of are waiting for her to get ticked off and drop the act and just start yelling in frustration, just a thought.

I was quite fearful of this course before taking it, but she tried to make it as easy as a Statistics class could possibly be. There's a lot of assignments, both required and extra credit, which can be fairly overwhelming at times, but every bit helps. Very helpful instructor, and I appreciated her enthusiasm while teaching.

Really great teacher! Explains everything clearly, and makes sure everyone understands before moving on. Part of test grades are take-home, and gives lots of extra credit opportunities. You'll do better if you show up, but she doesn't take off points if you don't. Stickler about cell phones (even vibrating). Smart, kind, and enthusiastic!

WOW! There is aaaaalot of homework and online quizzes. The teacher goes above and beyond trying to help her students to understand the material. She is a real good teacher and gives you a chance to make extra points on tests, but it requires alot of work. Did I mention alot of work. If you are having trouble in math, she is the teacher for you.

She offers great office hours; online help, hw help, etc. Gives practice test before each test where questions are pulled from for actual test, offers extra credit, and gives chances to increase a poor test grade everytime! Communicates wonderfully! Highly recommended. I'm taking her for MAC1105 too.

Great in the class, but if you ask her something and gets rude. She has a lot of mood swings. Just watch what and when you ask her something. She likes to snap and makes rude eye contact with some people.

At first I was petrified in taking stats, I had heard all of the horror stories, yet, Katey changed my mind. She was incredible, outstanding, stupendous in explaining the material. Plan to work very hard w/ lots of hw assignments, quizzes, etc. Gives practice tests before each actual test that are helpful; not always friendly when answering questions; often times can come off as rude or irritated w/ students. This is a great teacher! She will let you make up half the points that you miss on a test. Also, she's friendly and understanding (so long as you have damn good reasons). Tests are hard. I'm an A student, and I thought they were not easy. Attendence mandatory. She's young and makes the class not so boring. Good personality.

Great teacher!!!!! Last semester I withdraw this class from Bernard. This time I got an A. She is a great teacher because she guides you from the basics up to college Algebra. NOT all teachers do that. There is a lot of work to do and if you do not keep up with homework and office hours do not expect to pass this class. SHOW UP & do your HW & QUIZ!

She's really good for someone who struggles with math. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone understands the lesson. There's a lot of homework, but also plenty of time between homework deadlines.

Super nice and friendly. Almost like sitting in a kindergarten class at times. Course is not too difficult and she makes it as easy as possible. Just do the homework, take the online quizzes as much as possible to bring your grade up, and go to class and it will be a piece of cake.

Explains things WAY better than the book, she offers lots of extra credit and the entire beginning of class is devoted to helping you with homework BEFORE it is turned in. Homework only due when you take tests, and a lot of work outside of class, but an awesome teacher and I would reccomend her to anyone!

Prof Arnold is one of a kind! Math has always been very difficult for me, but Katey explains it so clearly that I got an easy A+. She gives a ton of homework, but that only helps you. Seriously, you do yourself a big favor if you take her. All I can say is that no teacher at SFC will care so much, commit so much, and dedicate so much as she does. A lot of homework, mymathlab is involve and it is required. Attendance not mandatory but she will mark you absence if you leave one minute early and you will want to fall asleep. Her grading is fair. Just be prepared for A LOT of homework and online work and quizes!

Great Teacher!!! A LOT of homework, but if you do it, you will pass. Math is not my favorite subject. I already took 3 classes with her and got A's in all of them. Looking forward to take Calculus 1 :-) Put real effort and you will be just fine.

Great professor. I took her for ONLINE trig. She was very helpful and always available. Not an easy class though, the material is a bit demanding. Be up on your algebra and do ALL the homework on time.

Fantastic teacher, I've always struggled with math & previously had to withdraw from this same class with a different teacher. Yet I came out of Arnold's class with an A+. I honestly think that if you do your work, there is no reason to not get a good grade with this lady as your teacher.

Katy is the BEST!!!!! I had a lot of personal problems this term, and missed a few days in class, but still managed to pass with a C. Katy is very helpful and always willing to help you succeed.

Take her! I can't sress this enough. She is head of math department, clear, concise, stays on track, helpful, caring, & enthusiastic. I failed class twice before taking her (rec. by guiadance counselor) and passed her class with an A! I took her class during summer as a studio class. If you struggle with math like me she is ur only hope 4 passing!

Professor Arnold is so awesome..Its a must that you take her..I would recommend her to anybody looking to take Mat1033. She washelpful, clear and explained things over and over again. Im sad that I will not be able to take her next semester. TAKE HER YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT..

Professor Arnold is a great teacher and will take the time in class AND in her office to explain everything to you. Yea the class is a little tough but if you keep on top of thing like doing homework on time and not last minute and doing assignments more then once. I could of got a much higher grade in the class. YOU SHOULD DEFF TAKE HER.

Kathleen Arnold is the BEST math teacher ever! She helps out so much and if you ever need help she does everything to help out. And when you don't do very well on a test she will review it with you one on one and help you solve it out. I wish I could have her for all my math classes.

Katey is an amazing teacher/person. She pushes you until you build a complex to do math. Her class is pretty clean cut and easy to pass if you do the work. STRONGLY SUGGEST TAKING HER!

professor Arnold is very flexible and will go out of her way to make sure you get what you need done! ive had a lot of personal/family issues this summer course and she always was concerned with what was going on.shes completely understanding!

Veteran of College indeed. I believe Professor Arnold has 9 years of College under her belt. Not only her Masters in Mathematics but also 3 additional years of Law School. Juris Doctorate. And Passed the 2nd Hardest Bar in country-FL to become an Attorney of FL Law. Truly an Epic Teacher and a great Person. Loves teaching and is a true inspiration

Katey is a wonderful professor and one of the most genuinely nice people you'll ever meet. Teaches very clearly and responds to e-mail almost immediately. She's the chair of the math department, so she doesn't teach very many classes, but if you have the opportunity to take her you won't regret it.

Professor Arnolds class was easy if you make sure to read the textbook examples and take good notes in class. She gives lots of extra credit for tests which is really helpful. Good office hours outside of class to ask any questions and she is very good at explaining things. Overall I would take her class again.

Professor Arnold is by far the best Professor I have ever had. She does her best to make sure you learn and master the material that is being taught. There's a lot of homework and quizzes but most are short, and beneficial for practice. Tons of extra credit and bonus point opportunities for class and tests.Earned my first A in math thanks to her!

Professor Arnold's class has a lot of homework, but it's really helpful for mastering the material. Unstuck study was a great study tool alongside the textbook. Overall, a challenging but rewarding class.

As someone who is weak in the math department, the material in this class can be quite challenging, and it can really stack if you don't manage your time well and make sure to get questions and topics answered/ cleared before moving on. You should be able to do great if you can take advantage of office hours and tutoring.

Lots of homework. Anywhere from 2-4 a week. I studied a lot on my own because her lectures didn't really help. Overall a great professor, If you do your part you will pass.

I could have done better in this class but I just put in no effort until the last week. Shes a great professor and very willing to help, just not with handouts. Do the extra credit its easy free points, keep up with at least some of the homework and you'll be fine.

This was my 3rd course attempt! Professor Arnold taught the lessons and worked through many examples, making sure everyone understood, never shamed anyone for asking a question and was always enthusiastic! Lesson homework and quiz each week and gives class time for "daily problems" to work through that are from the hw from that week. 10/10!

Super nice and cares about you passing the class. 100% recommend taking her class. There is homework but as long as you pay attention it is easy. She is very helpful when you have questions and makes study hours to meet before tests. Attendance is graded. Will accept late work.

Her energy is hard to get used to but she's very nice and helpful, isn't a harsh grader, and does retakes.

I mean it when I say she's the best professor I've had in my life, so caring, wants you to do so well, office hours are a must, they help so much, her lectures though fast were easy to follow, so accessible and has TONS of bonus points throughout the semester that push you to study and do better. I've grown so much as a student thanks to her :)

She teaches math like a middle school teacher. Not in a bad way though, but in a way that helps you really understand the math. She's very flexible with illness or absences if you're transparent with her.
