She's a great teacher. Test are so easy. She goes over every question for the test right before you take the test. Her paper's are the hard part, so make sure you do a good job. But other than that it's a great class.

I had her for psych & child growth & dev & she was an east "A" whether you attended class or not BUT I do want to say that if you do attend class, her lectures are very interesting because her work does not stop in the classroom; a lot of her information is first hand knowledge. Highly recommended.

I found this class to be boring. Lots of lecture and you get to do a presentation before the class during the term, or at least when i took the class you did. I didn't have fun with it, but you might.
Clear, easy teacher to understand, very knowledgable, always a little late to class, she gives complete reviews right before tests!! But beware a 12 page research paper in APA format is due mid term. I got an A which is rare for me.

Easy class. She reviews every ? on the test b/f you take it. Take time on each of your web article reviews, she counts them as 25% of your grade. Research paper isn't bad, you just need to follow EXACTLY the format that she wants, and she does go over it many times. Very easy A, and very interesting class if you like the subject.
she's a good teacher, her test are so easy, her lectures are actually good, but she is picky on the paper, the majority of my class got an F on the paper for stupid****, but you can still pull off an easy A or B
Read the book and take notes and the quizzes are easy the first assignment is easy the paper is a pain in the behind!! Follow the papers format if you want to pass, otherwise I loved her!!!
I took this teacher for both and got an A in both. She reviews the tests before the tests making it easy to get an A in that. The research paper is nothing to be scared of. I started it 2 days before it was due, and still received an A on it. She mostly looks for format, very good teacher!

She might scare u at 1st into thinking she's strict, but after a couple of classes she starts 2 prove how knowledgeable & thoro she is w/ her material. Every class will offer a comprehensive understanding into psychology. She offers a review directly before her tests (which she literally reads directly from test). Watch out 4 the final paper tho ;)

This professor comes off very strong willed. And she is. This is not a difficult class to pass. However out of 30 students she gave 15 F's on the research paper. I don't recommend taking her.

I took her in 01. If you listen to her and follow the outline of the paper, she makes it easy for you to get an "A". I did, and I found it to have been an easy "A". I rec. her highly. Love all her stories. I laughed a lot.
I was so excited to take this class, until all she did was make us take notes, and learn pratically nothing. I was so mad that i dropped her.

Wow. What a dumb class. She gives a review(which is her reading from the test) minutes before the test is handed out! No need for a book really, since the notes are straight out of it. The only "hard" thing about this class was the BIG paper she made us do. But as long as you really commit, then you can earn that A.
Very good teacher, test are easy and so are the papers that are due with test. Only thing that you have to work on is the research report, if you dont get a C on it, you fail the class.
I took her physcology. She was very easy. She told you what was going to be on the test right beofre you took the test. Barely any need to study. She used a power point presentation and the tests were given from that. Very clear, very knowlegeable and very intresting. Has lot of great stories to keep you intrested. I definatley highly recommend.
whatevr for thos eof you that really pick your classes by this site be careful! thats how i got stuck with Prof. Bey. She make psychology boring. i recieved all c's or above on my test and turned in all of those dumb worksheets and quizess but i recieved an f on the paper which is like i didnt even attempt it. Fail the paper and you fail the class!
This class over all was okay. She talks really fast and gives TONS of notes. She does a very good review before tests. The notes won't help for studying but the review will. She gives alot!! of home work but its all pretty simple and she dosnt really read it... The research paper is very hard. but its not true if u fail the paper u fail the class.
She gives a lot of homework for the test day,Have to do all the homework. Reviews tests before taking it, and it is true that she is hard with the materials, but if you do everything she says you'll be fine.. I thought I was going to fail and because I did by homework and the extra homework I got a B.

Very difficult to approach this professor. Emphasis on research paper. Grades paper harshly. YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO DO APA FORMAT PAPER. Check it out with another professor before submitting! Writing Lab. Not an easy A class. Tests are tough even though she gives review just before test.
I took child growth & behavior in the classroom and both classes were easy if you did what she asked of you. Yes she gives detailed research papers but as long as you do your part I feel she grades easily and her test are very hard however she reviews immediately before you take the test and gives you every ansewer.

Great Professor. REsearch paper very demanding, but the rest of the work is very easy. She gives reviews before tests! Very easy and comprehensible class. She makes it easy to understand psychology.
Excellent teacher! Enjoyed class tremendously. Expect two assignments per chapter for chapters 1-15, 16-18 extra credit and a Gordon rule research paper (20+pages for a decent grade). I do not recommend this class for the summer express course if you work full time.
Professor Bey is really good! you have a few easy articles and worksheets to do,easy.1 research paper that is a real big part of your grade, but she will answer any questions you have, test are really easy,she goes over the test right before you take it. It's an easy A if you do what is required.
She was nice and easy. Tests are simple if you go to the review.I think b/c her classes are so easy she is A LOT more harsh on the research paper. I've written in APA style before and i still got an F the first time I turned it in. I followed all of her guidelines. But anyways she gives you another chance to correct it and I got an A then.

This class was cake, even with it being a summer course. She reviews on test days right before you take the test. You don't need the actual textbook. The only thing that you have to put effort into, is the observation modules. Just don't leave them to the last minute (like I did) and you'll be fine.

I HAD HER FOR TWO DIFFERENT SUBJECTS SHE REALLY KNOWS WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT IN PYS & BEHAVIORAL MANAGMENT. VERY HELPFUL AND REVIEWS THE TEST PRIOR TO TAKING IT, ALL HER EXAMS HAVE 50 QUESTIONS (ALWAYS). YOU CAN GET AN (A)JUST MAKE SURE YOU TAKE NOTES AND SHOW UP FOR CLASS :)

She was not a good teacher. She made you feel scared to approach her and even though she went over the tests it was only a couple of questions. Her research paper kills. even though you can turn it back in she only gives you the minimum you need to pass.
It was terrible! She was so rude to all of the students! OVERHalf of the class got an F in the report & it was because minor errors, and then when we hand it back in you can only get a grade of C or less on it-- but u need a C to pass the class on this report-- i dont get it?? She was terrible and just rude I feel like i seriously wasted my time!

One of the worst teachers I've had at PBCC! She is friendly at times, but other times she just doesn't want to listen or help. She isn't clear on her expectations, like how many words for an assignment, but if you don't read her mind to know what she wants, your grade will suffer. She goes over test questions right before, which makes tests easy.

She assigns a paper in APA style, but she does not use actual APA style. She gives a handout with her own rules. What's worse is she does not grade you on the content of your paper- JUST THE FORMATTING! She stresses all the students out with this. It's terrible. If your field is psychology you should learn actual APA! Thats what professionals use!
She is a great professor, easy class! Make sure you do all the homework. There is a lot of it, but she gives it to you at the beginning of the semester and it's pretty easy. Just allow yourself enough time to get it done!

Just concentrate in your research paper since it is 50% of your grade. Reviews before each test so don't kill yourself studying. Great lecturer but unfortunately she only lectures on the first 3 chapters.

Lots of book work for not enough points. Confusing grade point system didn't help and zero people skills. Late every class but the tests were easy. I wouldn't recommend this professor, not easy to talk to too and a lot of useless work.
i took her for psy2012 and dep2004.. all i can say is that she gives a lot of work but its very simple.. she gives the answers to the tests before right before she gives them out.. the gordon rule is pretty simple for psy2012 but i recommend to go to writing lab before you turn it in.. easy a!

Took her for Human Growth & Development, she gives way too much written work for not worth the points. Gives reviews for the tests but the second before. Gives lots of notes. Tests are worth 25% articles are 25% and modules are 25% and a group project is 25% which sucks because she said you can only get a B on it. My only B i got was in her class.

She is awesome. sometimes jumbles her words a bit but still easy to understand, explains things well, tells good stories. she can be a bit strict, but grades papers fairly. she makes it sound harder than it is. very helpful, always available. gives reviews right before tests. funny and smart.
If you want a easy "A" this isnt the class for you. Honestly this was more a English class than a Psychology class cause you have a paper worth 50% of your grade and if you dnt know how to write APA in Dr.Bey style your going to fail.
WWWAAAYYY to much work, due in such short time especially if u have other classes. tests are easy, but not worth the stress of all papers and homework due. always late and flys thru lessons, bring a camera to take pic of her notes ,not all from book and will not wait for u to write them. I'm about to finish my AA and I have never had a C in my life and she gave me a D when I received a B on all the work but because I thought she wanted a 8 page paper including title page and reference page she gave me a 30 percent on the paper which lowered my grade to a D. There is a lot of work and her classes are extremely boring.
Professor Bey was okay. She is not a professor I'd want to take again. Her 8 page research paper at the end sucks but you have a safety net if you fail. You have to do 20 2-3 page articles and I wrote way above the limit and got 4/5 points. Tests are extremely easy, don't even have to attend class with her review the day of. I got an A+

A great professor. I dont Know why everyone had such a hard time in this class. At first i was not going to take this class because of all the horrible ratings. I just finished the class and it was easy. She does give out a lot of work but it is to help you in the future. HELLO ITS COLLEGE!I got a B in the class. Overall it was a GREAT class.

I really like Dr. Bey, her class IS SO EASY, I can't even believe some of these comments.... I am taking her again in the fall for DEP2004. She is the best psych teacher and she knows what she is talking about. Take her, an A is COMPLETELY possible. Anyone who got any lower than a B in her class either didn't try or just didn't follow directions.
I absolutely love her.She was an easy A. I took her for both Psychology and Human growth and development and got A's in both. Had notes to write but it was fine because it was exactly what was covered on the test. Simple and to the point. Best ever.
The only professor that I have taken that was "easy" but somehow I still came out with a C in her class. Wouldn't take her again. She is always late to class, and when she "grades" your workbook, is completely pulling your grade out of thin air. There is no way she reads everything you write. My advice is to type EVERYTHING you hand in.

Kathleen, Bey is the best professor for psychology course, she help you to understand what is psychology and gives the students the opportunity to pass the class, only she needs a good work for her paper and she also helps students how to do her paper.

If you can't handle this class I wouldn't recommend you continue on to a University. She is one of the most laid back professors I have ever had, and basically gives you the answers before you take the test. IJS

I love Dr. Bey she i wonderful I took her for summer A and it was a breeze I had never written an APA at all before, yes her APA is different but I got a 100 on it and got A in the class so easy as can be I am taken her again in the fall PSY2012 and I am so excited she is wonderful.
Dr. Bey was not difficult at all. Yes, she did come in late most days, but only a few minutes. Attendance was not a big issue which I appreciated. Tests were so easy because she reviewed them beforehand. The weekly assignments were a piece of cake. As with any class, do your work and you will do fine. I would take her class again.

this class has tons of busy work. test are not easy. lowest grade not dropped. research paper of 8 pages due and she is strict on how it is to be done. Not to mention you need 20 articles by the end of the semester. make sure the articles are at least two paragraph per section and you will do fine on them. she is a nice smart women.

Had her for PSY2012. Her tests ARE easy because she does go over them before she gives them out. The articles are a waste of time but i'd still do it along with the extra credit. however if you fail your essay then you fail the class.she gives you a second chance to do it though.the english lab is afraid of her. If you take her good luck!!

She will deduct points (50) if you do not have a minimum of 8 pages and another 50 points will be deducted if your reference page is not correct. Your final grade will be a zero out of 100. No Kidding! Follow her format and you will do fine!

I took Dr. Beys class for English comp, she is very straight forward! Must come to class, she does not care for excuses (It's college what do you expect.) One of the key objectives is that I've learned so much from taken her course. Be prepared to WRITE a lot of essays/research papers. awesome teacher, very intelligent, though can be strict.
Easy class but don't expect to learn anything, it's all busy work. You do need to write a few papers but she's not easy nor clear on grading them.
Dr. Bey is a great professor. She is extremely knowledgable on the subject, gives clear instructions and excellent feedback. She runs a strict classroom but I like that because it keeps the distractions down. Be prepared to read and write but what else would you expect in ENC1101. Not an easy A but it is definitely attainable with some effort.

I will miss this class.
Easiest class ever. Doesn't look at work just ask for your total grade. You don't ever have to go to class. If you want an easy A then pick her.
This class is halfway done and I have yet to hear a lecture from this professor. She shows up 15 minutes late to class, gives us about 7 different pointless handouts, and says "Your assignment is to (Insert complicated assignment with no instructions here) and it's due next class. GOODBYE!" And class is over. Run away, go! She'll ruin your 4.0!
Don't take this class. Run away while you can.
I couldn't imagine a class to be worse than this. I sneaked by with a B in the class, only because I complained about her. She doesn't teach anything, nor does she explain what it is that she wants from you. By the time you realize the content of your work doesn't matter, and she's pulling grades out of you know where; it will be too late. Run!!!!!
I didn't complete the class. There was no point in turning in my work, because no matter how good I did on an assignment, she was still going to fail me. I promise you, ignore any good comments you find for her. She must have changed!
Do not take this class. You will have to drop all your other classes if you want to get a C in this class. Tons of very long, tough assignments that is not graded in time, with grades that left a lot of people in tears.
This class is tough. Do not take it .Excessive work load.
I did not have to do as many presentations nor as long presentations in my Speech Class, nor did I do as much writing in my ENC 1101 or ENC 1102, as I am doing in this class. Beware, there is no study guide. Know the chapters from end to end and even then the questions are confusing. Make sure to double check your test. She marks some ans wrong.
Very tough class. Too many research papers to write and 3 very long presentations to do, plus you have turn in hard copies of the presentations Does not follow syllabus and work is thrown at you at random. There is no study guide, and tests are very tough.. I will not recommend this class.

THIS CLASS IS A NIGHTMARE. I WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO WITHDRAW. ASSIGNMENTS ARE LONG, NO GRADING CRITERIA AND NOT RETURNED IN TIME. EVERY 3 CLASSES, 3 RESEARCH QUESTIONS ASSIGNED. 3 SPEECHES WITH PAPERS OF SPEECHES DUE AT THE END OF SPEECH. MOST UNHAPPY CLASS I HAVE EVER SEEN. TESTS/QUIZZES ARE TOUGH . I HAVE LOTS OF REGRETS WITH THIS CLASS.
I wasted my time. I had to do all the work. This professor does not teach. you have to do all the work yourself. She assigns lots of presentations and during the presentations she would grade assignments. These assignments are very long. When quizzes are given, she makes you stand in a line in front of the class and grade your test. Lot of Regrets
DO not take this class. This will be your class load: 16 research papers, 3 presentations at least 10 mins long, 3 papers on the presentations, 5 very tough quizzes, handouts to that you have to fill in on every chapter which will be graded and what ever other work she feels like throwing your way. Peer grading Run far away from this class!
Beware for Psychological torture and mental anguish. Run!!!
Worst decision I ever made was to take this class. I wasted allot of time, money and went through mental anguish.

Gordon rule class so that means a lot of (busy) work. Few major essays but go to the writing lab and you'll be fine. Four big tests that she reviews right before she gives it to you. Humorous and knows her stuff. Can be unorganized at times. If English is your strong suit, go for it
Horrible. Beware, do not take this class. Among a lot of other things you will have to stand in line in front of the class to grade your test/quizzes. Research papers(which are extremely long) have to be turned in a week. This class was the worst.
