Great teacher. Really loves to teach and help students succeed in her class. Challenging class, but fair.

I really liked Ms. Catanese, I got an A in PSY 1010 so I stayed with her for Life Span PSY 2020. She was kind of tough but I pulled a B in the class.I really feel she challenged me in learning and she was very fair. I would recommend anyone to take her.

Dr. Catanese is a fantastic instructor. I have her now for PSY1010 and she is great. She gives quite difficult tests, but she covers much of the material in class. Study the textbook and pay attention in class and you will do good. Highly recommended, if you can handle a challenging class, however.

Great teacher and person! i'm taking the online course, and although there is lots of reading and work involved, i'm very much enjoying it. she offers on campus help and responds very quickly to emails. I recommend her for online psy 1010!

She is a very great professor. Grades fair and her lectures are very informative. As long as you attend class and do some studying, you should do well.

DR. Catanese was the most interesting teacher i've had. She keeps your interest in the subject. Its important to attend every class and take good notes

This was a summer online class and it was difficult. She did take time to answer questions and did meet with you if you needed help, but as far as test preparation, there was none! I guess you could study every single little thing in each chaper, but I don't think that would have helped b/c the questions on the test were not straight forward.

Dr. Catanese is a wonderful professor. You can tell she loves her field, and her lectures are incredible. She will take the time to explain things if someone doesn't understand. However, you HAVE to go to class if you want to pass. I have taken 3 classes with her.If you want to skip class and not learn, don't waste the money to go to college.

Very nice, enjoying her class alot. 3 assignments all semester over blackboard, makes you print out lecture outlines, MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION!! NEED YOUR BOOK alot of outside of class reading, VERY strict WITH CELL PHONES (popquizzes) has many different ways to get help from her!

She is an awesome professor!this will be my third class with her. She dont mess around tho. As long as you take her notes books not necessary. Will help but not very personable, but she knows her****!

I had some trouble in her class near the beginning of the course (I honestly wasnt putting forth my best effort), but i went to talk to her when she was BUSY and she DROPPED EVERYTHING to help me. I was considering dropping at one point but her advice helped me pass with a C+! over all, Very fun, challenging but helpful Prof.

Dr. Catanese is an awesome teacher. To do well in her class, you have to show up and take notes. I didn't buy the book, I just took notes every day. She is incredibly smart, and makes class very interesting. I recommend her to everyone. Also, her final project was a lot of fun to do!

You HAVE to study and take notes. I studied for every test by taking notes, reading, and making note cards and still found the exams difficult. Very helpful.

Hardest online class ever taken...a lot of reading. She is strict! She is clear in what she wants tho. I would personally never take another online class with her again as her tests were very hard multiple choice and critical thinking all while being TIMED!!!!

Loved her! Class is definitely mandatory and hard but if you take the effort to learn and read the chapters, the tests are easy. You can tell she is very intelligent and loves her field. She will take time out of her busy day to help any student and clearly answers questions in class. Gives multiple examples so everyone understands.

You don't necessarily have to study for this class but you definitely have to read the book. All exams are multiple choice and she replaces your lowest exam score with the final. If you read the required chapters and take notes during class you will pass. She gives a lot of examples during class that will help you understand the concept better.

She is very helpful. Sit in front of class, it is better.During class she breaks down the material you read in book so that's easier to understand. Tip: Only read sections in book that are on the Lecture outline she gives otherwise it is too much reading. Test r usually multiple choice. Study ur notes. I Recommend her.

I loved her class! Her exams are tough, but as long as you take notes and ask questions, you should be alright. The textbook was rarely used; She breaks down the information so it's more understandable. Overall, it was a great class, I definitely recommend her.

Wonderful professor, by far the best teacher I have ever had. She takes the time to go over something with you if you don't understand it. As long as you pay attention in class and study you will receive a good grade.

One of the best professors I've had! Very interesting lectures, and she does try to get to know her students. She'll usually tell you in class what you need to pay attention to for the exams, so make sure to pay attention in class and fill out the study guides.

She's wonderful. A little crazy but very nice. If you pay attention, you will do great. Always have the study guide. She says to read the book but I rarely used it and did fine. DONT MISS CLASS THOUGH!

She is by far one of the best professors I've ever had. At first I was afraid this class was going to be overwhelming, but as long as you pay attention in lecture and meet the requirements of the assignments you should do well. She's also very willing to help and offer advice if you're interested in a psychology degree/career. Highly recommended.

She's pretty great, really. She goes above and beyond for her students. I would recommend taking her with any Psych you take. She's helpful, and a little crazy. She pretty cool, and you can learn so much from her. You need to attend her classes, she doesn't take attendance, but things that aren't in the book but in her lectures come up on the test.

Dr. C. is wonderful! Her lectures became the only thing I looked forward to at school during one tiresome semester, and whenever I needed help with anything she'd take time out even if she was busy doing something. But she expects you to work hard for your grade, so don't be lazy, take notes, pay attention, and study! Best teacher at Tri-C!

Dr. Catanese is an amazing professor. She connects with you and helps you understand the material. She makes sure to tell you what you need in order to be prepared and never has any surprises. She is an outstanding teacher and has great knowledge and background in her subjects. Very fun and interesting class.

She is an amazing instructor, she really makes the learning experience enjoyable!

The chapters are very long with lots of vocab words. Flash cards are very helpful. Printing out the study guides and watching videos will save your grade!

A lot of reading and quizzes timed, so you better read the textbook chapters if you want to pass.

No make ups ever so make sure youre doing what you need to do by the due date

Read all material. If you are expecting a blow off intro class, this one is not it.

She does care a lot about Social Psych. She does her best to teach ambiguous topics by making you talk to your neighbors and relating info to your personal life. The material is the hardest 2000 level psych course so be prepared.

Short, sweet, and simple- read the textbook for each quiz and you'll get an A. There are no curveballs with her she will listen whats needs to be done, and if you do it and actually put in the time to do it you'll get an A. She's really smart and nice, just don't slack and you will do just fine.

Job Well Done

Dr. Catanese is an amazing professor. Straight away, she offers support to her students and gives you opportunities to contact her if you need assistance. Be prepared to read, though. There are no late assignments allowed, either. As long as you study the required material for the week, you'll pass the class with flying colors!

I really enjoyed this class. It is not an easy class, but she does a great job at making the material interesting, and finds ways for you to apply it to your own life. Her tests are difficult, but if you study the study guides she gives, and are there in class for lecture which may include things not present in the textbook, you should do well.

Awesome professor! Just took her online Psychology course. Had a quiz due every Sunday which was easy and an occasional discussion board or essay. Easy grader.

Fantastic course on a sensitive topic. Prof. gives excellent feedback on assignments. Weekly timed quizzes - you will need every minute to take them, but they're completely manageable. Several discussion boards and a couple essays throughout the semester. Recommend both the class and Prof. C!

She's awesome! Truly. It will take effort for the A, but it is well worth it. Her teaching style is great because you actually learn and retain the information, instead of just memorizing material. If you put the work in you will reap the benefits of a great educational experience. Take her before she ends up at a top university, because she will.

Dr. Catanese was great to have. You can tell that she really cares about her job and puts a lot of effort into it. You should read the book and take advantage of extra materials because the quizes are challenging. Overall, you will get a good grade as long as you try.

A hard class, but a very well paced one. Teacher was sweet, responsive, and overall wonderful to work with. Nothing is unexpected. Some pointers: Don't wait until last minute to read. Take notes. Highlight if possible. Make sure there's no additional required reading. You get two makeup assignments at the end of the semester (DB + Paper)

Very good professor for an online class. Posts tons of resources related to the reading for the current week. One timed test every week, which is doable if you actually read, + occasional discussion board or two page paper. Everything posted on Mon and due Sun night. You can even get ahead on reading because it is all outlined in the syllabus.

This was the first class I had taken by Dr. Catanese, and she certainly knows what she conveys and talks about to her students. She's very clear cut and precise with how you'll be graded as well as what is required from you in the class. There was a test once a week, maybe a discussion, maybe a paper, or all three. You learn and you earn the grade

This class is very easy to get through as long as you finish the work assigned. The grading is not hard and there is extra credit at the end.

This class was a little challenging for me personally, but I loved the class overall! I had taken an 8 week course and although I had to read a LOT in a short period of time, I retained the information and enjoyed discussing things with the rest of the class after reading.

Dr.C was so amazing she always was there to help me when I needed it. She would always help and give so much time and tell us how we can be successful in her class and outside. The class literally helped me so much that it made me into a whole new person because it changed me and all my bad habits. I love this class and Dr.C she is amazing.

Great professor, she makes expectations known in the beginning of the course. Extra credit opportunities are given in the end. She does an amazing job tying in discussion boards and assignments with the reading chapter material. She will respond to emails in a timely manner and she gives great feedback. Took an online class with no set meeting times. Every Monday she posts what needs to be completed by the end of the week, which is very helpful. Her syllabus is straight forward, sets all the expectations, and how grades will be determined. She gives extra credit opportunities and is always willing to help.

I took this class while it was all online because of COVID so I did not have to go into class or anything, but as long as you do all your work and you try you will pass easily. She wants you to pass and to learn new things about psychology so that's awesome! She also offers extra credit opportunities I would totally take another class taught by her

As a new wave of learning occurred during COVID-19, Professor Catanese set up her online class in such a way that it was easy to follow. Textbook use is a must as that is where all your quizzes, discussion boards, and assignments come from. Easy to reach out of class and is very engaging on topics and if you need help. Would 100% take again!

Dr. C has been one of my favorite psychology professors I've ever taken. She absolutely cares about the subject and all of the students taking her class. There really isn't anything negative to say about her. Read the material and you'll be golden. Psychology is my major, and I hope I meet more professors like her.

Dr. C was a welcome reintroduction to college coursework. READ the syllabus and follow the instructions provided to a path to an earned grade. The course content is very informational and also quite interesting. You get what you put into the course.

Dr. Catanese is honestly so awesome! She is clear with her grading criteria, her expectations are clear, and the best thing is she is super well organized! Participation does matter, as the online course consisted of discussions, assignments and chapter quizzes. Overall, everything was not too difficult to keep up with for an intro class :)

She was a wonderful teacher! I had to take her for an 8-week online class and she did a great job going over the materials. There were two quizzes (20 questions each with 30 min to complete) and usually a D.B or assessment or both at times for each week. There were two chances of extra credit at the end of the semester too! ^-^

She was a very clear professor, was helpful and willing to give great feedback to all assignments. If you are looking for a caring professor and want to learn she is a good fit. You have to do the work and read but her study guides and assignments all line up with her quizzes and nothing is every unexpected as long as you read.

I really enjoyed this class with Dr. C. I took an eight week course. At first I felt a bit overwhelmed, but Dr. C gave me great study advice and options for extra credit. The extra credit bumped my grade up to the A I was working for. I really appreciate her class structure too!

I really enjoyed this class and Dr. C was great! She was very good in explaining each assignment and gave very good feedback. I struggled with the quizzes, but that was just me not having a lot of time to study like I would have liked to. I tried my best and hopefully it paid off. I would recommend her anytime as a professor.

This course is the second one that I took with Dr. Catanese. She is very fair, informative in all the material, and accessible to answer any questions you may have. All of her assignments are clear and straightforward with no room for confusion. I enjoyed her classes which is one of the main reasons I took a second course with her. Great professor!

Dr. Catanese is an excellent professor! She promptly answered all my questions. She is very kind and she gives compliments where they are deserved! She lifted my spirits up numerous times from her comments of my work. This is my second year of college and she is by far my most favorite professor that I have had the pleasure of learning from.

I took PHY 2040 online with Dr. Catanese and she was amazing! Dr. Catanese is an awesome professor that is very timely in responding to your messages. I totally loved the class! I would strongly advise you to read the entire Syllabus and submit your assignments on time and you should have no issues at all!

The quizzes were kind of tough with a time limit put in place. The assignments were fun and I actually enjoyed them. Lots of reading from a textbook. The syllabus is posted with what to expect weekly so that helps a lot if you like to work ahead. Gives awesome feedback and makes you feel closer than other professors online.

Dr. Catanese is a very understanding professor. The only reason why I received a C+ is because I had a death in my family and although she allowed me room to make up and gain extra credit, unfortunately, my mind was not on coursework so a lot of it had to do with my own work but otherwise, it was a really great class. 10/10 would recommend.

Dr. Catanese is an awesome professor. I was hesitant about taking psychology but she made the class very easy to follow. Her weekly checklist and schedule helped me to stay on track with this class! There is a lot of reading and note taking in this class to succeed, but I did not mind it because the information was very interesting.

Professor Catanese is very straight forward but understanding. She wants you to do your best but you have to want it too and in my eyes that is fair. Her class taught me a lot about myself and the world at large which was very important for me. I was in two of her classes this semester and it was the same. I had a good experience and I learnt alot!

I took this course because I already had one course with her and loved it. You must do your homework and read the chapter to get a good grade. Bonus, you will gain so much knowledge and understanding of personality, it is so captivating.

No proctorU at all, so u do not have to worry about that. Very nice, each quiz is 20 questions. Some assignments every other week very easy. Would highly recommend! I did not even try in the class just make sure to keep watching the due dates.

First class I actually learned something! Class is structured in a way you can take something from it. You better read that chapter and know it front-to-back. She was always very nice and caring when I emailed her with questions. The chapters can be lengthy but they are very helpful and Dr. C has great resources to help you learn.

I took this class online. The professor was very kind and helpful. She always responded to emails quickly and explained things clearly. She was available for in-person meetings when I needed help. All tests were online and fairly graded. I highly recommend taking this class with her!

Dr. C was cool. Weekly proctored exams. She was an easy grader for assignments, & discussion boards, I got 100s on all of them. However, those did not affect my grade quite like the exams, unfortunately. One thing that bothered me, was her lack of updating grades. I often had to wait 3+ weeks for a grade to be put in. So if you're anxious, beware.
