The class is very boring, but if you listen, take notes, go to class, and read the book, you will do fine.

Forget BOTH the book AND her powerpoint slides. BUY THE STUDY GUIDE, AND READ FROM IT instead. It's very important that you do the practice tests/quizes from the guide. 1 or 2 of the same question(s) are on her exams. All other questions are similar!

If you're serious about learning marketing, she's a great teacher. She demands a lot but isn't a mean person. I'm very glad I took her-she prepped me well for my other marketing and advertising classes. Don't take her if you don't want to really know mktg

Krentler is not EASY. If you're planning to breeze through this class w/out going to her lectures religiously, don't bother taking her class. As along as you study & attend lectures, you should get at least a B. Good Luck

this class is not recommended for the lazy. it helps to pay attention in her lecture and read the book. tests are not simple "memorize the definitions", u have to know and apply a lot of the concepts in her questions.

OK, so she's not the easiest teacher, but she sure knows the material. I really like her. if you're a mktg major, I PROMISE you will benefit from taking her class. she is so approachable and sweet and VERY knowledgeable. I recommend her highly.

If your a mktg major, you will get more out of her than you would from most mktg 370 teachers. Her test are pretty challenging. If you want an easier teacher, dont take her. IF you want to learn a lot about mktg. take her.

Krentler is a very nice lady who will help you if you go to office hours- willing to discuss anything. You have to put a little effort into the class but overall tests are about a 7/10 on the hard scale- participation really helps! I'd take her again.

You have to study some for the tests and at least skim through the chapters and you should get a good grade on the test. Participation points are pretty easy to get and add up to one test score. I would take her class again.

Boring lectures,sit in front to stay awake,Hard tests,read book & buy study guide.If u do that & get ALL particpation pts. then you can get a B or better.Don't do paper..trust me.Doesn't help.She is smart though.

I took it in summer 04 and she was a fine teacher. I'm not the best of students but I pulled a B by getting all her participation points and doing the essays. She grades the essays hard but if you bomb a test it pulls ur grade back up.

Love how you can choose to write 1, 2, or 3 papers to help offset the three tests. Can write none, some, or all papers.

We're in college to learn, not to be entertained. She teaches the subject very thoroughly using PPT slides that you can download. Commercial breaks are funny. Even gives optional papers to help your test scores. Easy to see why she hates this website.

Would definently recomend if you are a marketing major. Having the knowledge I learned in her class had helped me alot in later marketing classes!! If you study and don't slack off, you will be fine.

If at all possible,don't take Krentler. She talks for like 10 minutes on 1 slide. Its so boring. And her essay section on tests are really hard but that's offset by easier multiple choice. Read the book and do all participation stuff to get a B. Knows her stuff but will annoy you...

This class is really not that hard if you actually read! Also, take the online quizzes and you will do just fine on the tests.

3 tests. 3 opt. papers. I recommend doing the papers it helps your grade. ppt lectures (omg its soo boring)tests arent too bad just study. i pulled a B, shes nice lady, but its just soo dam boring sitting through her lecture. i challenge u to stay awake.

Class is alright as long as you study Powerpoint and read examples in book. Do online exercises and go to Marketing Study Researches, they WILL help your grade out in the end. Exams m/c & Short Answer(5). You HAVE to know & understand pretty much everything she lectures on in order to answer SA's.

Material is conceptually very simple, but tests are a bit tricky. I am an A student and I got a B in the class. Good luck.

Not as bad as people make it out to be. The class was not that hard, you do have to put in some effort though and you have to read the book. Participation points help a lot. Good class to take during summer, get it over with.

medioker teacher. gotta study hard for tests. lectures are really boring. she'll put you to sleep for sure. Participation is huge so u gotta go to class. class is interesting, nice teacher. just way too boring.

Yes she is hard, but for a reason. If you want to do well, get ALL the participation points, learn examples of everything, and spend lots of time doing the online quizes on the textbook website. You should also drink an energy drink before you go to her class. Trust me, you'll learn a whole hell of a lot more when you're high on liquid crack.

she is tough but this is upper div. business so it should be! study, read, go to class; students do not do well because they aren't prepared! get a study group together and you will learn better making funny ways to memorize things, believe it or not, this class can actually be useful in our lives. do all onlinie exercises and in class exercises!!

Great class but it is very hard. Quite a shock after all those lower division classes. Professor Krentler wants you to understand marketing and she doesn't let you just skate by. When you are in the business world you'll be happy that she insisted you learned the material. If you are a whinner don't take her.

This class is not hard, its only hard for the people who think they can do ok by not reading at all or reading right before the test. The class is hard to sit through, I recommend sitting in the front. She's helpful, and you have to pay attention in class and do the reading, makes the test a lot easier!

Good Class. It was tough, a lot of work and review. For midterms and final read the book but study her power point slides and the internet questions the most to be successful in her class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!! AVOID!!! She is a good marketer but I think she expects her students to know the material already...sorry but when only 12 students out of 200 in the class get A's and B's and the rest gets less than C's on the test you know something is wrong....

Hard class! tests are difficult becaus you MUST know everything, cant just scoot by, but you cant just scoot by in life either! Dont expect to learn tons of stuff either

"not a recall" class lol. What a joke, just memorize book/lectures and you'll get an A easy. I did! yay. Study groups are so fun fun fun! YAY. I'm convinved she knows/loves marketing after taking this class and she is so damn nice. Like a mom/aunt. Seriously get a study group its so fun

yeah.. this is a hard class.. and if you think she sucks then go back to community college because she expects you to work. she wants you to know your stuff because as a business major it will be useful. i had to work hard in this class and study a lot but im happy i took it because i learned a lot. shes a very good teacher.

this was one of the harder classes ive taken at state. lectures are unbearably painful to sit through, but you have to go cuz you never know when she's gonna have an in-class exerc. tests are very very hard too. the short answer part of her tests are vague and worth a lot of your grade.

nice lady. hard class. must show up to class for in-class ex which is worth a lot of your overall %age. she gives good examples in class. shows funny commercials. tries to be helpful but comes off condescending. tests are ok. must explain your thoughts clearly in short answer. do online quizzes 4 each chapter from text website. try to get the book.

Questions on the test are not black and white. It is important to know the material in detail for the tests. Study main topics and underlying vocab. She will ask essay questions and you need to know each step of the process in question. She gives partial points for partially correct essay questions. Do extra credit essays if she offers. Easy A's.

Lectures are interesting. Tests are difficult but no surprises. You need to know the vocabulary and concepts very well in order to do well on her exams. There are a lot of outside assignments but they're not very difficult, just time-consuming. I'm not a marketing major but I enjoyed this class much more than I expected.

Go to class. Do the participation. It's not hard. Just go over your notes, read the chapters and take the online quizzes. Super easy if you do these things. GO TO CLASS

Textbook is an easy read. I wasn't interested in the subject at first and my first test grade reflected it. I wrote all three papers and participated in every assignment and it helped my grade. Without it I would have had a low C. Print slides to the lecture prior to class and take notes it will help if you read to reinforce understanding.

Class was interesting, but tests were hard and long. Do the participation exercises and write the papers! It saved my grade! Not a bad class, but tons of work!

Yes, her tests are long, but she is a GREAT professor. She's very approachable/ helpful if you go to her office hours. If you are a lazy student, do not take her..but, if you do the papers (follow the rubric!)all the online excersises and read the text & notes before exams, you REALLY WILL do FINE!! take her, she's WAY better than other mktg profs!

I agree with everyone else. She is definitely a test NAZI, however, a very good teacher. Got a B- with a good amount of effort but learned A LOT. Take her if you want to learn, not if you're looking for an easy A. She claims there is no HW but the online discussions definitely feel like it. Overall, a very nice and approachable lady that will help.

I don't know if I should bash her or not. She's a very nice person, however, her tests are unfair and impossible. I took her class over the summer and got 70.2%, but she gave me a C (told u she's nice).. love her humor but man.. tests are something to worry abt!

I don't know what everyone here is talking about...I didn't even try that hard and I got a B+. Her tests are not simply memorization, but she wants you to know what you are doing, so she asks applicational type questions. Great teacher, but not for people who don't want to learn.

Krentler was great. She is so happy to be teaching, it is really refreshing to see such an enthusiastic professor. Class is not too hard so I don't know what the person below me is taking about. YES, studying will get you a good grade, you can't cram the night before. Seriously one of the top 3 professors I've had. Love her.

Just had her for summer 2010 and she was a cool teacher. By the end of the 6 weeks you will have the concepts of marketing ingrained in your memory. My tips is: Outline the chapter before classes start, read the questions carefully during the tests, make sure you are prepared for the pop quizzes. The best part is the classroom is in GMAS building!

I just had her for summer. Best upper division class so far. I thought it was going to be tough, the test can be, but she explains the material well, and as long as you read, and do your part you will get reasonable grades. 4 mini test(1 dropped) 1 final (twice as long as a mini test) our class avg was an 81%. You'll like going to class, trust me.

She is pretty nice, but very demanding on the quizzes.They are broken up into SA and MC. The multiple choice is extremely hard; mainly from the book. Going through the online review tools each chapter helps a ton! (Assuming you read the chapter) The other part of the quizzes are the short answer. Which is from material in the powerpoints.

She goes very in depth during her lectures, easy to take great notes to supplement the powerpoints. Her tests are reasonable, the multi choice is harder than the short answers. Be in class for the group exercises, she wont tell you when tho. Read the book. Not a bad class.

Krentler is an awesome teacher! She made a 2 hour 40 minute class very interesting! The tests are very difficult, make sure you review the power points and the textbook for each test. Class participation (through online assignments and some in-class work) is worth more than 30% of your grade, 4 tests, last one is cumulative. You learn a lot!
