One of the sweetest professors in Baruch

Great Teacher! A lot of fun. You do however have to read, but she picks fun selections for you. You'll enjoy the class.

She's very nice. She makes the class very entertaining and funny. But, you won't be able to get by without reading! Don't worry, she doesn't give anything boring to read

Very Good Prefessor Good Readings but you must read or else you are f*&ked

Very fun teacher, However, you must read. Gives pop quizzes based on reading; questions are straight forward. She gives a midterm and final essay in class. You present a poetry(easy). Would have not missed it in the world!!!

The worstest prof in Baruch college. Gives awfull reading assignments and is unfair in terms of grading.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO TALK TRASH ABOUT HER!!! Those who left her bad ratings are probably the ones who never do ANYTHING. I had her for 2150 and 2850 and both times received an A.

her class is easy going. not too much work. simple readings and quizzes. she likes to have fun in the class. tough grader at times.

She's a nice Professor. Easy assignment, try to make the situation in class fun. In fact, she's my only Prof in Baruch who held "farewell" party at the last day of class

this is my favorite clas...the assignments are soo interesting n the class assignments are too...not boring at all and she is a very nice teacher we some more like her :) take her for sure u wont regret it...i didnt

She was a wonderful professor and she taught us a lot of valuable material.

She is a great [but not the easiest] professor-to-take- 6-8 random [often suggested in advance] quizes on the readings [simple Qs], 2 exams, and 7-9 portfolio entries [short essays] due at the end of the sem; teaches really useful stuff, grades fairly, & is always willing to help.

I think she was great when compared to the professor I had for this class before. Made the reading easy and the quizzes were great. Easy A if you work hard and read the assignments.

Has favorites. Very subjective. Class somewhat disorganized. Intensive reading compared to 2100 and 2150. The the pop quizes count 30%, while the portfolio, which is 8 essays, count only 30%. Not an easy teacher. Also you have to do presentations. Excessive workload. A plethora of readings.

i don't know... is it me. well, get prepared for alot of work. the work ain't too hard, but there;s alot of it. that's the sucky part.

She is nice and easy. Not so much work: few in-class writings, which you'll develop to the portfolio entries by the end of the semester. The portfolio consists of 8 one page and 1 two page essays. Few quizes and 1 exem (in class essay). Interesting readings. She loves comparative essays. Take her. Interesting, relaxed, and easy class.

If you're expecting to get A for sitting and watching - than go to the preschool :) Very interesting professor, classes are made fun because of poetry presentations and plays - and it takes you 5 minutes to get those ready. It's a writing class- so hey - you need to write, but she is far from being hard on grading, Most of the reading were great.

Those who give her a bad rating r probably those who fail FRO.One must really not be doing anything in order to receive a bad grade.Her quizzes are based on simple questions, i.e.what color was the cat, just to see if u read.U watch some movies after reading the play. The best English professor I had.She gives you a lot of work but it's easy and grades it lenietly. If you are not a good writer taker.I got an A even though English is my second language.The work is more than the usual english class but less than a buss. class,if you do all of it you are guaranteed with a B+.Those who give her bad ratings are lazy.

GREAT PROF. likes to bond with students and talks in class alot. out of class subjects also. participation is a big thing! Attendance aswell. be prepared to read n act out plays. not too much writting.likes quizzes to check on the reading that was assigned-easy ones! u can get an A if u do the work! fair grader! RECOMMENDED. take the class!!!

Summer session- TAKE HER!!! participate a lot, she gives quizes on her reading but they are really easy- our entire class bonded we had such a good time in her class- make the best out of it with her; shes fun and she genuinely likes teahing, you can tell- very fair grader- take her class trust me- you'll have fun and you'll learn something

She is SOOO... EASY!!! I am not native English speeker(only 3 years in US) and if I got A you can get an A.

She is an AWESOME prof. Lots of reading; she makes the class very interesting and fun! 8 papers (2 pages each), pop quizzes (not difficult if u read the material), midterm and final are essays (open book), some skits, must participate. Don't stress about the skits, it's not that bad. Very fair grader! She gives extra credit as well!

Highly recommended! Very nice and helpful and makes the class very fun. You will have a short reading for every class and then you will sit in a circle and discuss it. Sometimes she throws in a 2-3 question quiz just to make sure you read it. Quizzes are 25% of the grade and are soo Easy! You'll need to bring the book to every class.

I took her class last semester. Hard class but she's very understanding and a very fair grader. She's open to talking about a grade you recieved and if it deserves changing. The stories were easy to read and the quizes were right out of the book. Nothing fantastic about this professor, but a solid choice as long as you do the work.

love this prof. highly recommended. she cares about her students and the material is not bad at all. if u do the work u will def get a good grade. i wish i could take her again

She's a sweetheart.Literature can be boring but with her it's different.Shes a fair grader and understanding. It's impossible to fail and easy to get an A.You have nothing to study, all you have to do is read the assigned stories and be able to discuss about them. If you do your readings, you get an A. For those of us who love to read, this class

She gives you 8-9 papers to write but only 1-2 pages...keep it short and simple...dont write the blahblahblah, cuz she hates it...she extremely has passion in reading...take her u;; have fun in class

This is an English class in college- so yea, there is work and reading assigned. She is a good professor. Class is never boring. You do have to participate and she does make you write 9 essays, but they're all very short. Just do your work and you'll be fine. Highly recommend.. just don't slack.

TAKE HER!!! SHE IS WONDERFUL!!! I cannot believe the people who leave her bad comments!! This is an English class, of course you have to read!! Duuhh!! But her reading assignments are ALWAYS interesting since she picks those that will NOT bore you! Dont slack off and you WILL get your A!! I took her for two Eng classes and got an A in both!

I highly recommend to take her class. She always teaches interesting and helpful. Reading, one midterm, 4 papers and extra credit. Easy A if you do your homework.

i would recommend this professor. she is not hard, and she tries to make her classes interesting. Easy A if you do what she asks, which is not much: short readings and class participation.

Short readings, 3-4 pages papers,one poem presentation +easy quizzes. Professor Lawrence makes her class interesting, uses different text materials(stories, plays, poems, magazines). Do all the readings,come to class and you will be fine. Not boring at all. Take her!

Take her! her class was interesting and fun, she likes those who participate a lot. No finals. 5 short essays, a lot of quizzes but they are easy. She also gives extra credits. Easy A. Attendance is mandatory and don't come in late.

I dont understand why her score is only 3.6... which is same as Pro. Applebaum. No affense to other professor. But to be honest, she deserves a score as 4.5! she is so funny and interesting and nice and omg perfect!!! I wrote two paper the whole semester and that's it! 3 hours lecture is surprisingly not boring at all!! I felt so sad when it ended

Such an easy class to boost your GPA. The course is project based, so you will do one every other week with a group. She tends to ramble a lot in the beginning of class, but I promise you will NEVER stay the full 2.5 hours! Also, there is no final. Take her, she's the sweetest and very understanding!!
