Dr. Nolta is a legend at UM. She simplifies lectures so that you can understand them really well and then finds out who really knows the material with tricky exam questions. Just do as many practice problems as you can and you'll be prepared. She knows the 500 or so kids who take her class on a first name basis, that's how determined she is.

According to GSIs, every week's notebook submission is graded by different standards which are rarely revealed to us. The grading is outsourced, and they are clearly unable to handle such heavy amounts of people taking this lab course. 210 and 211 are not synched whatsoever. It feels like Nolta talks to us like we're children. Terrible course!

Dr. Nolta is very nice! Lectures felt all over the place and rarely useful for the lab itself. Inside the lab, often times there was confusion on what to exactly do-but most were fun. The quizzes are challenging- often covering stuff in detail that we barely touched on. The notebook grading is ridiculous though you can't get lower than a B overall.
