Her bark is worse than her bite.

I have mixed feelings about her and the class. I think she might be bipolar but I'm not sure yet. If you get on her bad side it's downhill from there. Luckily I haven't so I don't mind her that much. Strict attendance policy.

I liked her. I think her attendence policy is too strict. I thought she sounded a lot worse on the first day of class then she ever was. I found that she grew on me, and I did really well in the class.

she seems harder on the first day just to scare you but she does lighten up after the 1st week. she can overwhelm you with projects but it helps you to be a better public speaker, i should know i would hate to speak in front of people and her class helped

Absolutely a great speech instructor. Was referred to me by a good friend (now he is!) Anyone that can't get through her class must be lazy and a goof-off. She makes the boringest of work fun, and she's a clever person. Her wisecracks are hilarious!

Strict professor but very fair. Gives clear instructions but you need to read assignment packet. Plenty of opportunity for extra credit. Helpful if you ask if you don't ask she assumes you know what she wants. Lots of work but you will learn alot also.

Ms. Perri doesn't deserve the bad rep she gets. If you do the work, and yes there is some work, and you try, you will get an A. 60% of our class got A's and i finished with over 100% in her class. She gives you points for going to class, and shes great!

Dont take at 7am...not very clear on some assignments, helpful if you ask...just do the work she assigns and you should be fine

You're there to really learn. She's a no-nonsense professor. Bithcy by her own standards. But she's there to help you out. By the end of the term, you'll reek of confidence...she's great!

Once you get to know her she is a great teacher. She does give a lot of work but if you do everything you will be fine. If you need any help all u have to do is ask.

If you don't get an A in this class, you didn't try too hard. She is an easy professor, tells you exactly what to do, all you have to do is do it. Just go to class and pay attention and you'll get an A. And yes she can be a little moody at times, but if she likes you, you're golden.

She is a great teacher and grades very leniant on the speeches. We only have to give 2 speeches and the others were group projects. There are no tests just easy quizzes. She is an easy A...

For those who don't get straight A's naturally, beware. I spent at least 50% of my waking hours all year working on this class and I'm winding-up with a low or mid B. I have no idea what I did so wrong on my speeches. However, I LOVED taking this online. It was a lot of work, but better than class.

She has a great sense of humor, loves team 2 whoohoo!!! Passed the class with an A would recommend to other students. but only if you like to be a better speaker.

I really enjoyed her class. She is very organized. She makes the class very interesting. She is hard at first but stay in the class, she is easy by the end.

This proffessor gives you a lot of extra work than others. She has a good personality but can loose her temper quickly and likes to yell at students like they are in elementary school. She is helpful at times but grades speeches crtically.

Perri can come off as mean and hard but she really isnt. I enjoyed her class and would do it all over again. There was group work, 5 presentations, and 2 of them are by yourself. Her work is alot and does feel like its all being given at once, but its fine. You'll be fine. Great class. good teach.

class was a challenge, but at least she makes use of technology and expects students to, too. Her PPT lessons are good to use in any class. Very helpful when problems in my group arose, gave advice that got me an A on my final after getting all Bs on speeches. Was unclear about online tests through WebCT. Make liveral use of "Ma'am" in her class; don't be lippy or smart with her, and she'll be a sweet lady. Def. ask her advice, it'll save your speeches.

She's an okay teacher. Quite a bit of homework, but it's not that difficult. The class starts out bad, but gets a whole lot better the further you go into it. She's nice unless you are rude or disrespectful and she hates it if you don't turn in work or if you're late. The speeches are really easy to do. She also does a lot of group work.

She is from NY so a little rough, but she is one of the most easiest teacher I have ever had. I took her in a 5 week course, which is the best way b/c you bond with peers. I had fun and really enjoyed her. She is a tough ass at first then really sweet. I highly recommend! I got an A!

Very easy teacher, understanding and helpful. An excellent teacher to take just to get speech out of the way if you aren't into public speaking. She lets you critique yourself after speeches and point out your mistakes for half credit back.

I took her class online. It was pretty easy as long as you keep up with the work she doesn't really ask for that much. towards the end of the semester you get less work.

AMAZING TEACHER! No text book, every assignment you have to print prior to class. If you do the work, its an easy A, learned sooo much about myself, and public speaking. There are 2 individual speechs, 2 group speeches, 1 major group project, final is optional speech or a paper. She teaches you how to speak, how to overcome fears, AMAZING!

This class was SO easy! She gives examples & rubrics that she will be grading from for every assignment, so you always know exactly what is expected. She's not mean at all! She gives extra credit for perfect attendance. Her syllabus makes her seem meaner than she really is. I would definitely recommend this class.

Had her for speech. A very Good teacher. Not a hard class at all. If you don't want to attend class prepared with what she told you to bring to class then you shouldn't be in college. Professor Perri comes off a little mean, but it's only because she really doesn't take anyone bull crap. She expects a lot, which she should. Make sure you always have your materials printed out for class or she WILL kick you out. Just always be prepared. She made us do breathing exercises before our first speech, which was awesome and helpful.

Her class is easy. Just make sure you have whatever you're suppose to have at the beginning of each class. She will kick you out if you don't. She also DOES NOT take late work unless it was an excused absence. I would take her again.

Online class. Very clear in her instructions! Only 3 speeches, they're spaced about 2 weeks apart. Outlines and powerpoints to go along with them. Very easy grader..she wants you to do well! Besides that, you just have discussion boards that help your grade out! Take her!

Amazing online professor. She explained everything in a simple and easy way to understand. Just keep up with the work and do the assignments and this will be an easy A. The work is easy too because as I said, she explains everything so well. That means the speeches are easy too! I recommend her for anyone who needs to take this course.

Prof. Perri made my experience very pleasant. She kept us up to date of any changes, gave us plenty of time to do our work,replied to emails and posted grades in a timely fashion, information was cut and dry. If you follow exact instructions and turn your work in on time, you should have no problem. Very nice lady.

I just started taking her class online at the beginning of January. It is so easy! She gives you precise due dates and tells you exactly what she wants. She even gives you samples of her assignments so that you can't screw up! It was a lot of work because I took a flex class and everything was condensed, but she's a really great teacher!

Respect this professor and do ALL assigned work. She is very nice to you if you do. If you do not like her, then it means that you are not working hard enough! There is no textbook, but she makes you print a lot of things. Make sure that your print card is loaded with $20 (or more) worth of prints. If you are not prepared to class, do not attend.

She is a GREAT teacher! Took her condensed summer online class term A & she is fantastic. Communicates very quickly to answer any questions you might have. She gives examples for everything, extra credit, & opportunities to make up pts on work! Just do the work! Easy and you learn, I hated the thought of speaking & am now ok w/ it. And NO TEXT BOOK

Prof. Perri is an awesome teacher. I took her online condense class and it was pretty demanding. Assignments due every week but relatively easy. She explains everything and gives samples on how it should look so you really can?t mess anything up. Extra credit for turning in speeches early. Only 3 speeches and a final project. Easy grader!

I took Perri for speech online. It was a Term A only class. There was a decent amount of work for this class every week. But it wasn't too bad. Only three speeches. She grades fairly and wants to you to do well. Gives extra credit. There's no book. All in all a pretty easy class. And I really did learn useful things. I got an A+ I recommend her.

Took this class online, very easy! Only 3 speeches which she gives you examples of. Follow the format & you'll get an A! Discussion board posts are due which help your grade a lot if you don't do good on speeches! I would definitely recommend her.

Online: Easy A only if you dedicate your time practicing your speech! They say for a 3 credit online course, you spend 9 hours/week - this class was about 1 hour/week unless it was speech week. Very helpful and organized. No book, no need to buy video equipment since they're at school, but be prepared to find a program to convert videos to mp4.

There is a lot of work to be done and you need to make sure that you dedicate enough time to prepare well for your speeches. She gives you examples of speeches to follow so you can do well. She could use more clarity on due dates on the syllabus, but overall a good class and professor. She gives good feedback to the entire class.

I am taking her advanced online course and I don't understand why her ratings aren't higher. She is VERY organized and if you have any questions, she answers them quickly through email. Speaking was my biggest fear, but she gives examples and extra credit. Now I have over 100% in her class. I spend 1-2 hours a week to practice my speech. TAKE HER!

Best teacher at valencia! If you can't receive an A in this course you need to drop out of school and stop clogging the system with your stupidity. I took her online and finished with a 112%, she gives tons of extra credit and grades extremely easy. I highly recommend her

Very organized, examples&specific instructions given for each assignment. 3 speeches,5 people audience requirement, no text book, follow directions and you'll pass Great Class!

Took her online for half a semester. OF COURSE she gives assignments everyday, it's an online accelerating class! Very clear on the assignments, 3 speeches and 1 final project. Very easy course, just a lot of work. If you have about 2-3 hours of free time at least 3 times a week, you'll pass. Just read and follow the directions. No book required.

Daily HW & Assignments be ready to work. Group discussions and 3 mandatory speeches. Files with in files can be confusing. Course was easy hardest thing is finding an audience for your speeches! If you stay on top of assignments you will be ok, it's college you can't be lazy! Replies to emails and grades within 24 hours! U R REQUIRED TO LOGON DAILY

The speeches are a little difficult to understand starting off, lots of discussions that NEED responses to another student. The papers are easy and really the only reason that i didnt do so well is because of the speeches, and when i forgot to respond. really easy. id take her if you need to get a speech credit.

Really enjoyed taking this class. The class was not at all what I expected by the course description but really happy to learn about public speaking and power point. This course gets you ready to give pitches to future employers, selling, marketing and learning your personality style and learning style

This class is so easy and if you do poorly you're either lazy, disorganized, or stupid. No assignment takes more than an hour, most don't even take half an hour. Professor Perri is adorable and so so sweet. She answers emails promptly and is very accommodating of extenuating circumstances.
