Great spanish teacher. It had been 3 yrs since i took a spanish class and the class went well. patient and really wants you to understnad. lots of games in class to help you learn. do the HW b/c you will see a lot of it again on the tests

She is a really great teacher! Her class is very well organized and run. Easy without being too easy, ya know? Only problem was the packets for the movies in the language lab- you have to do 2, but as long as you get them done, no problem

I Sheahan in for the Summer Inersession class. She is a very good teacher. She made the subject easy to grasp and at the same time we had fun. I highly reccommened this teacher if you are looking for a fun learning experience.

She is fun, and that is not easy to be when you listen to people mispronounce words all day. How she keeps from cringing is beyond me. Loved her class, and passed with a C even though I missed half the semester.

This is hands down the best spanish teacher I've ever had. Others can make it difficult and confusing and embarassing but she is so nice and effective - she just flows from one concept to another making you soak it up wanting to learn more. Great great teacher and experience.

Prof. Sheahan is a wonderful teacher. Nice, patient, forgiving, and always helpful. If you listen in class and do even half the HW, tests are a breeze. At the outset she spoke spanish almost entirely, and I was surprised to find that I understood her easily; she enunciates well, which inspires confidence. Funny teacher too. Highly recommended.

Good teacher. I liked the way she would encourage us speak to her and to each other in Spanish. Used a variety of teaching methods. Patient, helpful, had a good sense of humor, tests were fair but not too difficult. I did not like the workbook that she used, it was a waste of money. Her handouts were just as good or better than the book.

This was a great class. Professor Sheahan was a great teacher and i learned a lot. She will help ypu if you struggle also. Tests are easy, but homework can be time consuming, but it is not that hard. I am taking her for 102 because i liked the class so much!!

Very awesome teacher. I would recommend her to anyone interested in learning Spanish. She made the language come alive for most of the students. You do have to be there every day, and do all the homework. But it is all a cake-walk!!! Clear and concise speaker for both spanish and english. I believe she is a native english speaker! Sheahan rocks!

She is an awesome teacher!! Before taking this class remember the prerequisite. It is hard for those who have not had 3 years of continuous Spanish speaking. It is very important that you study in this class, but she is very clear while speaking and a fun teacher overall! I would definitely recommend this course.

I took the hybrid half class half online class. it went pretty well. as long as you do the homework and attend class it's an easy pass. if you pay attention and work a little its a pretty easy a or b too. she looks like cuddy from the show house.

Hybrid class-very good. Profesora very likable, never humiliates or embarrases students. I would highly recommend this Prsa. for any novice.

Amazing teacher. I enjoyed every class. I took SPAN 101 and 102 4 week fast track during the summer and the time flew by. She is so nice and will help anyone with anything... tests are EASY! Anyone who puts forth some effort will ace her classes. Also, you get to use the same book for 3 years!

I took the hybrid class, which was quite difficult. Personally, I suggest taking a foreign language IN class if at all possible. Anyway, she's a very good teacher! She thorough and is very detailed in her lectures. There is a lot of online work as a heads up. But overall, good teacher and good class. Just do your work! She's easy on the eyes too.

I took the hybrid class. Very easy class. If you took it in high school, this class is basically review. Online work is easy but there is a lot of it. Be prepared before you come to class. Mrs. Sheahan makes spanish fun and easy!

Took hybrid class. It is a lot of online work but you would spend that time in class regardless. The web work was very helpful. Profesora is AMAZING! Engaging teacher who actually makes participating fun. She never has to ask twice for a volunteer. I wish all my professors could take some lessons from her!

Kathleen is an amazing professor. She is very helpful and goes over things in a way that you can understand them. She makes the class very interesting and very hands on. I took 3 year of Spanish in high school and didn't remember any of it. By being so hands on in thi cass, I remember a lot of what we learned and am not afraid to use it in public.

She was by far the best profeor I have had in my college years. She went over absolutly everything until everyone was able to move on. She makes you comfortable with your peers because her class is very interactive. Her test were very fair as well. The study guides are pretty much the outlines.

Great Professor, very clear about what is on exams. She forces you to be involved in class. There is a lot of work online! Be ready to spend 10+ hours a week on homework. If you do the work you will be rewarded. Profesora has made me feel very confident when speaking. She was a great teacher. Wish she taught 201. TAKE HER!

One of the best teachers I've taken. Very helpful, and keeps you invovled. Tells you what to expect on test and keeps them very basic, no curve balls. I highly reccomend

Great teacher. gives you a syllabus that you follow to the t. you know exactly what the hw is, what you're doing in class that day, when tests and quizzes are. she follows a clear cut teaching method, is nice and funny and the definition of a good and clear professor.

I really respect her teaching style. I am taking her hybrid class for Fall of 2016 and so far everything is very straight forward. There are quizzes every class except the first though they are group then individual etc. Atop that the homework for the day prior is always what the quizzes and lecture material is based on. Highly recommend!

Great teacher and makes learning Spanish super fun. I took the online hybrid class due to a busy schedule. Expect to participate and give oral presentations in class. Don't skip this class and do your homework and it is a fairly easy class. There is a quiz every week (which alternate between group/individual quizzes), a midterm and final.

Very understanding, caring, sociable. Great notes and explains things very well. Not strict about getting the paper homework done. Very lenient. Fun class activities including games. Fun teacher. Very open about her life. Keeps the class on pace. Almost all the homework is online. Often lets class go home early.

Regained my love for the Spanish language because of Professor Sheahan. Fun class with lots of activities. I took the fast track hybrid class and it was a bit intense but very doable. A lot of online homework, but easy do. Caring and kind professor who wants you to succeed.

I absolutely loved this teacher! She was very helpful when I had questions and was super nice. There can be a lot of assignments, but as long as you do the work you should be fine. I am not sure why the previous comments wrote that her Spanish was awful. Her Spanish is great and she knows what she is doing. Wonderful professor!

This was a great class! I had so much fun and she makes everything easy to understand. She is the best teacher for Spanish. Whoever is complaining about the class did not take it with her. She makes a study guide for the tests and does a review st the end. I highly recommend it and Im going to take her class for 102. The best!

She has a clear agenda on when things are due. You will need to be motivated if you take her online class and not fall behind. 2 big exams, 2 five-min skype calls, and a group project take up the points. She does have a makeup section that you can cancel out any of your lower grades. Textbook mandatory as well as online code.

I took her online Span101 class, it has a LOT of online homework, most of it is easy but takes a lot of time. There's also tests, weekly presentations, oral and written. Easy A if you work hard to learn the material and submit everything on time. She was easy to contact as well, would definitely take her again for spanish.

***The heavy homework/test heavy is bc its fast track. My entire 101 class LOVES HER; many of us are staying for the 102 even if we dont need it bc she made Spanish fun and she is so great to be around. IVE NEVER SEEN HER be anything less than helpful/supportive, she would always find ways to help me &another girl who were struggling. Best ever

Pretty good- although there are ALOT of assignments and homework. The professor seemed nice although there wasn't really any interaction- basically self-paced. The worst part is the partnered video project that is a 3m conversation with another student- it would have been much better to stick to individual projects. Learned alot, worked hard 4theA

Class was pretty clear and easy to follow. She gives you everything for the week and you submit it on your own schedule. I like the instructions for the work was really clear and step by step. Easy class A if you do the work on time and follow the steps.

I was worried about online but I liked this class. she made it easy to follow and gave a schedule for the whole semester. You just have to follow that. Everything is organized and planned out. I like that everything was due on Friday and I did the work on my own time. Quiz every Friday but just vocab. Overall good class and easy A.

I took a summer online course, tons of homework (but obviously she has to meet criteria), she truly cares about what she's teaching and she's the most attentive and organized prof ive ever had. She was a really awesome lady, but I think I would have learned a lot more from her for a full semester. Good and informative class and prof!

she assigns so much hw thru a website and she assigns like anywhere from 80-100 medium assignments there and like 5 easy ones on canvas, on some assignments you have to record your self many times and but overall a god teacher just a lot of hw I took this class for more credit and I thought it would be easy but ended up being the class of more hw

She is a great professor and grades fairly, though some might think it's too harsh. No one in my class got 100% on any of the assignments, but given that most of us are brand new to Spanish that's not surprising. Have to purchase a textbook with code (~$175) and there is LOTS of online homework. Responds to emails promptly. Would take her again!
