Everyone loves her because she's really nice. The lectures are fun, the course material great. She's very approachable, organized, answers q's, grades quickly, and cares about her students. I really liked the textbook: Women's Voices, Feminist Visions. It's quite a bit of reading but really interesting and worth the effort.

Professor Kathleen Taylor is great! Very knowledgeable, passionate and makes you think outside the box. Writing assignments submitted online & come with clear directions & rubric. Text book is a must for online quizzes. No big tests, just "projects" throughout the semester that are basically no more than 3-page essays. No major exam.

I took this as a summer class and we didn't have any tests, only a five question quiz every week that was based on the readings from the book. You need to post in every discussion board as they vary from 1 point to up to 6 points at most. Only have 4 projects and one big project at the end. I definitely recommend this for an online class!

Very insightful professor. Her lectures are always packed with substance. Take copious notes in-class and on the reading, as her online quizzes take no prisoners. Encourages group discussion and wants you to ask questions if you have them. Almost nothing is off-limits, and she keeps her cool if the question may have been unintentionally offensive

If you care about feminism, take the class. It's so eye opening. She really knows her stuff, its amazing how much she knows about what goes on in the world. The class is mostly just discussions, a few projects here and there (do those, they save your grade). Quizzes online are easy, just google the answer. You don't need the textbook.

Kathleen is a good teacher but some of her questions can be a bit confusing sometimes. I took the 8 week online course and enjoyed it but its a LOT of reading and writing to do in 8wks but do-able! I would recommend the online course if you can stay on top of the assignments. Do the work and everything the question asked and you will get an A!

This was such a great class, and Prof. Taylor-Fillebrown is such a wonderful teacher. Each week, you will watch a film, and then the following week, just before watching another film, you will take a short quiz on the previous week's film. There is a paper on a film of your choice for the mid-term, and a film project for the final. Excellent films

At first I didn't like this class because after you watch a movie, you have to talk about it which I found to be boring. But overtime it started to become more interesting as Kathleen really knows that she's talking about. You have to take a small quiz on canvas about the movie where she asks a 1-2 questions and you answer them. Very easy class.

Really great professor to have. She is very enthusiastic about the issues that women face and truly cares. It's always very interesting, with that said I think it'd be beneficial to have a little more "typical" structure in the class with powerpoints and note taking. I think students would succeed more. A bit too much reading as well.

Professor Taylor is nice, but I hated her teaching style. Doesnt lecture so you HAVE to take your own notes at home. Going to class felt pointless but attendance is graded. Notes can be used on the test, but you will not pass the tests with only the notes from class. You need notes from the book as well. Just take this class online and avoid her.

My only frustration is how easy this course seemed! Each week there's a few modules from the textbook to read (maybe 20 pages), a short online lecture, and one or more DBs.
