She makes the rules very clear at the beginning and expects students to abide by them. Very helpful, keeps class interesting. Very fine person and very fine professor.

If you're not a good test taker, you're in bad shape. She treats every student as an adult (not helpful for Early College students.) She's very nice but expects you to treat her class as a first priority. She only goes over a small section in class and gives a quiz every week. If you have her, good luck resisting panic attacks. She's tough.

She's a great teacher; highly intelligent and knowledgeable in her field. She treats you as an adult and makes everything crystal clear from day one, which is something I found awesome. Was my favorite instructor the semester I had her, and would gladly have her again if I had the choice.

Took this class and fluked it twice at Forsyth Tech. Took it with Mrs. Alves-Labore and made an A. Her personal anecdotes are very helpful and informative to make connections to the material. She is funny! Her lectures are interesting because she connects dry material to really interesting real-life things.

There is no need to read or study for this class. All exam answers are available in a quick Google search and this Professor gives more than enough time for you to look up every answer. This is a very easy class. The Discussion Boards are painless and you can easily look those up, too. This is a well organized and very student-friendly class.

I had Ms. Alves-Labore for PSY 150 this semester, and she was absolutely amazing! She always found a way to make class fun and full of laughter! She had study guides for every test as well, which really helped me to ace all her exams. Not only that, but she offered extra credit and genuinely cared that her students succeeded. But there are MANY opportunities to earn a high grade if you are willing to study and do the work. If you are an entitled student, I can see how you'd think she is "awful."

I have truly enjoyed this class. She made learning psychology SO much fun, and I felt so appreciated and understood as a student, with how she has presented herself as a teacher. She made it so clear that she wants us to succeed and do well. As a student with a bad past college experience, I greatly appreciate that.

I have always struggled when it comes to tests. I've never really had a strong ability to test well. Her writing assignments have helped me to succeed. I'm working hard to improve. When I look back to my early papers from years ago, I cringe. There has been some significant growth and it's because of Professor's like this one.

A few little easy extra credit assignments here and there. There's a good amount of work to be done in this class but just do it on time and this class is easy and interesting. Would DEF take again.

Very clear and direct teacher. She expresses clearly what is expected of you each week and is very organized. Many people struggled to follow directions & she was fair with them although I was annoyed with her leniency solely because she states what she expects, then people don't adhere and expected to be coddled. She was a great teacher overall!
