She is very helpful and doesn't want to see anyone fail.

Her class is easy which is a good thing if you're not an accounting major. If you actually want to learn anything you may want to consider trying to get into honors acct 205. She was kind of hot though.

easy class, she helps you all the way and makes the most boring subject great. i almost wanted to change my major. you can't find a more helpful and understanding professor for this. she puts everything in plain english for you.

She is super sweet. She was helpful after class; she told me some pathways I could go down if I wanted to major in accting. You get to use a notecard for tests and if you have any questions she will be glad to help. She was the best!

Best teacher I have ever had, hands down. VERY willing to work with you and gives A LOT of extra credit. Gives you a study guide and it is 100% what is on the test, also let us use a notecard for 2 out of 4 tests, including the final. You will also actually learn the material not just memorize things!

Takes a subject that could be really boring and difficult and makes it easy to understand. Only covers the important topics and makes you understand them. I don't think you will ever stay the entire class period, but come to class! You will learn everything you need to know for the test if you go to class. She also dresses pretty cute.

Prof. Blandford is great. Go to class, pay attention, and study exactly what she tells you to and you will get an A. Her teaching stye is great and you really do learn the material. She keeps things interesting, has a great sense of humor, and knows her material. Plus, she is gorgeous!

By far the best professor I have ever had. If you focus in class you will do well on exams! Her class is not boring at all! She makes everything fun & interesting & she does not drag the class on! When she is finished she lets you leave! I am not the type of person that likes going to class even but I have no problem waking up for her 8:00am class!

This is a great class. It's really easy, but you learn a lot. The homework is completion and worth a test grade (100pts). There are 4 tests (100pts each). You get to use a note card. She teaches everything you need to know and spells out exactly what will be on the test. Highly recommend. Especially for non-accounting majors.

Very easy class. You automatically get 100 points (equal to a test grade) for showing up to class. There are four tests that make up your grade and you get a notecard. She tells you exactly what will be on the test if you go to class. If you go to class you should have no trouble getting an A.

Hot Professor! She is very easy and goes over examples of exactly what will be on the test. Allows you a double sided notecard, I just copied the examples onto the card and made an easy A. Attendance is somewhat mandatory as she takes it randomly 12 times and it counts 100 points, as much as an exam. TAKE HER FOR ACCOUNTING

Good teacher. Accounting wont get any easier. Get a double sided note card for every test. Takes attendance randomly for extra credit only. Uses the textbook but i honestly only popped it open a couple times. You can get by without it no problem.

Such a great professor. She presented the materials, gave some real world examples and class was over. We never stayed the whole time, but we still learned a lot. Amazing teacher. She does not waste your time on things that won't be used in the real world. Go to every class and write down all of her examples. Four tests total with no cumulative final. She lets you have a notecard with whatever you want on it for every test. You can fit everything you need on that one notecard easily. EASY A!!

Blandford is awesome and easy. Accounting has never been more clear and she makes sure you know how to do the important stuff and how it applies. She gives a lot of advice and uses her own situations to relate to what she's talking about. Most lectures are ended short and she gives you a flashcard to use during tests.

One of the easiest classes I've had. She is super nice and the day before each test she will tell you exactly what is going to be on it. She also let's you use on notecard on the test. Class never went longer than an hour and usually only lasted 40-45 minutes.

This is who you want to take for 202 if you're not an Accounting major. Usually ends class early because she runs through the material so efficiently. Her test reviews cover everything you need for a test so it's ok to miss a few classes as long as you're there for the review.

Easily one of the best professors I've had at UofL. Class wasn't hard, yet it was the class where I've learned the most. Gives real world examples. She was willing to talk after I was done with the class about accounting and majoring in it. One of the reasons I wanted to major in accounting. DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO TAKE HER

There are three exams and the final is treated as a fourth exam. You get a notecard for every test and if you pay attention in class it is not difficult to do well. There is no homework but she goes over problems in class. Her class is supposed to last 1 hour and 15 minutes but you almost always finish at least 30 minutes early.

There are four tests that make up your entire grade but they aren't cumulative and you get a notecard on each. She does review days before each test to tell you what should go on the notecard and makes sure to do plenty of practice problems as well as lecturing on the material.

Kathryn Blandford was an amazing teacher. She made the concepts of accounting easy and really explained them well. She was very realistic in what she expected from you and did not make you do the tedious things that nobody actually does in the field. She really cares about her students and I am looking forward to taking her again next semester!

The BEST prof I've taken at UofL. I wish she was my prof for every class. Explains everything you need to know in an easy to understand way. 4 exams, Mult Choice and show work problems, you get to use a flashcard to help you on each exam. If you skip class and just read the book you're selling yourself short.

Mandy is by far my favorite professor I have had in college. I have taken her twice (for 201 and 202). She is a great professor that loves what she does and you can tell by her teaching. She's very easy going and will help you through the material. 4 tests and they aren't bad. She allows one notecard for each test which helps a lot. TAKE HER!

Go to class, write notes, study the notes, practice questions, write your cheat sheet "that's she allows", then take the test and get an A. These are the steps to pass this class. She teaches to the test and understands test anxiety so she makes sure her students are ready for her exams. Lectures were entertaining when she would share her personal stories, they added depth to the topics we learned and it made her relatable. Hands down would recommend for everyone to take.

The class consists of 4 exams and online homework that's graded on completion. If you show up to the lectures you'll be set to pass the exams; most of the problems you do in class are exactly like the exam problems. She's a good lecturer, too, and she always does exam reviews where you can ask a bunch of questions. 10/10, would highly recommend.

While attendance is not mandatory, mostly everything on the exams she tells you directly how to do in class. Also, not everything tested on is from the textbook. She doesn't teach directly from the textbook but you still need it. Final grade is only exam grades. But she is a very nice person and you get out of class early everyday.

Took her during the corona semester, and all the class was was 4 tests and homework weekly. Her lectures were usually just simply YouTube videos, which was the only thing I didn't like about it. Other than that, do the HW's and study and you'll get an A.

Good class, she only checks HW for completion and lets use your notes on tests. There is no class on test days, she closes the exam at midnight and you can do it at home online whenever. Pretty strict with deadlines but all of them are laid out weeks in advance with constant reminders. Just take notes and do your work on time, you'll get an A.

An amazing professor!!. If you attend, promise you, you'll receive all the information which will be on the exam. Homework is pretty easy, all she looks for is completion. If you tried and even got like a 40/100, you'll receive a 100% on the gradebook. Exams are pretty easy too, just come to class.

She told us she is switching to in person tests next semester. Her lectures are very interactive, and she makes sure you understand it. There is no homework assigned. Your only grades are tests and attendance.

There's no homework or quizzes, so all you are graded on is tests and attendance. The tests are taken online and you can use your notes, so they aren't too bad. She does reviews before the test that help a lot, it's stressful to have the tests as almost your only grade in the class. She is a great professor though and super nice.

One of the few professors that I would recommend. She only took attendance and exams for grades, but everything she lectured about in class was on the exam and nothing extra. You can do the homework if you want, but if you understood her lecture and in-class work it was super easy. She will help you through a problem if you're stuck or unsure.

Pretty good class, very straightforward in terms of grading and what is needed to be done. Grade relies heavily on ability to test, but with adequate work in class and if needed help from teacher, an A is very doable.

While she is a great person and the class is an easy A, if I could go back in time I would not take her. Because this class didn't require you to actually retain any knowledge to pass every test when I went to ACCT 202 I knew nothing.

Must take this class (Managerial Accounting and Finance, Business minor elective at Vanderbilt University)! She is literally one of the best professors at Vanderbilt, and as long as you show up and do the work, you will do great. You'll also learn a good amount, and it was good to take this class concurrently with investment banking recruiting.
