She was new to teaching, but she cared alot that her students were learning. she took time to look things up that she didn't know. there were a lot of quizzes but she was a good teacher!

Dr. Craven is very easy. There is a lot of info in this course and she focuses on the important points and you always know what to study for the tests. Just copy her powerpoint notes and you will be good to go.

She is really nice and helpful. Not too diffucult, but the material is lengthy. In my opinion, she is a great professor.

Very good teacher. This class can be a lot of memorization which makes it tough to keep up, but she is very willing to help you. Lots of simple quizzes to help keep your grade up. Sweet lady.

She is such a nice lady. She is a bit timid, but will go to great lengths to help you find more info if you need it. She gives easy quizzes and that helps, but her lab praticals are killer, very obscure identification sometimes.

I had her for 2 classes and I enjoyed every minute. She is interested in what she teaches and it shows. The tests are like true bio tests. MEMORIZE. You come out knowing a lot. Power points are great b/c of the pictures. She loves to help you so just ask. Don't get pissed when she says i'll check b/c you can't expect someone to know everything.

Excellent instructor. Willing to look up any questions a she didn't know. To get an A study the notes and back up with book.

Dr. Craven was one of the best Biology teachers I have ever experienced. She made the subject very interesting and as easy as possible. I definitely recommend taking her.

Quit complaining! All you have to do is know your powerpoints - don't even buy the book - write ALL powerpoints and know them - you'll make an A. . .

tests n quizzes come directly from her notes, so u never have to read book. interesting class, teacher very nice helpful. n lots of extra credit. lecture is easy while lab is a lil' harder.

I absolutely loved Dr. Craven's class she was one of the best biology prof. that i've had at AASU. She explains concepts really well and is very helpful if you don't understand something.

I was scared of taking this class over the summer in 6 weeks, but she made it very easy on us. All lecture was on powerpoint and if it wasnt on powerpoint it was not on the test. Also gave extra credit to help out. Lab was fairly easy, lots of little quizzes but they just helped you remember. Very helpful, very nice woman.

She is a good teacher, but not very organized. Her test can have parts of other chapters if she does not finish lectures. So, you will have to finish the rest on another test. This sometimes can be confusing when studying. But overall she is okay, not the best. I would shop around before taking her class.

This class is not easy. You have to study, but no need for the book, just study the heck out of your notes.. But Dr. Craven is a great and very knowledgeable Biology teacher. She explains complicated topics very well and makes is easy to listen to. I took her over the summer and had her for about 4 hours a day. Never once did I get tired of her!

I took her for 1107 and 1008, she is an excellent teacher she really teaches the information and her tests are really easy.

She knows what she is talking about. Althought science is my least favorite area she makes it easy to learn.

I love Dr. Craven! She actually was a marine biologist before she started teaching, and I think that is so cool. She is really an excellent teacher and she is always willing to help. Gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. I recommend her to anyone taking a biology course.

Great teacher. I had her for a pretty intense summer course after I had been out of school for a few years. Make sure you take notes because that's all her test are on. Your gonna have to put in the time and effort but I did and got an A.

Dr. Craven is the best inside and outside of the classroom. She is very hepful and truly cares about her student. Tests are very manageable if you sutdy of course, do no expect a free ride because of how nice she is.

Absolute perfection! Dr. Craven shows a real interest in the success of her students and is always available for help. Very kind and is respectful of your time by showing up to class on time-something many AASU professors lack.I can't think of anyone better!

She is a good teacher and is thorough. I did not open the book once and aced all the tests based off my lecture notes. Be ready to memorize though, she includes ALL the levels of organization on the test (phylum, class, etc.). She gives a decent amount of extra credit and drops the lowest test; I would take her again if I had to.

Dr. Craven is a good teacher but includes way to much taxonomy. Lots of Kingdom, phylum, class, etc. Exams are based directly from her noted, textbook is not needed. Take good notes and you will do well on the exams. Lab is good also with several lab quizzes and 2 practicals, and a short abstract.

Dr Craven is very kind lady. Her tests are all from her power points. They are not easy she includes huge amounts of taxonomy..Phylum, Subphylum and Classes. It seems too much of that and not a lot of life cycle info.Overall a good experience. Would take her again.

Dr. Craven made this class very enjoyable! Be prepared to copy PowerPoint notes because she doesn't hand them out.. Her exams come DIRECTLY from these notes! My lowest grade was 99, i did not use the book once! Be prepared to memorize and pay attention to other notes she writes on the board.. Great class! Wonderful professor :)

Dr. Craven is excellent. I took her summer course and was definitely relieved to get an A. It's tough, but as long as you ask questions, write all the notes and study you have nothing to worry about as her tests and quizzes come directly from your notes. She isn't intimidating so don't be afraid to approach her. She also gives extra credit.

Dr. Craven was great! She tests straight from the power points in class, and will tell you occasionally to go back and study a figure in the text in more detail that she can cover in lecture. She always offers extra credit on exams, and the extra credit is taken from material you should have studied for the exam anyways.

She is a WONDERFUL Professor, I had her for lecture and lab. If you have questions she is always there, and the tests come DIRECTLY from her power points(so don't miss class). Always has bonus and will sway in your favor especially if you put in effort. In lab she is okay with bad spelling which is great for A&P words! My suggestion: Take Her!

I took A&P I over the summer. Dr. Craven was great. Tests were very fair & came straight from her lectures. She gives you all of the tools needed to succeed in her class. Her lab was straightforward and not too difficult. It was more of a learning experience. Would take again!

Kathryn Craven is a great Human Anatomy teacher! She makes it clear what you will be tested on, easy A if you study hard. Tests directly from Powerpoints. Super sweet lady.

Dr. Craven is very detail oriented with her testing. They're a combination of multiple choice, short answer, match, etc. and you really really need to know the information. However, she's available for help. She's also truly passionate about the subjects she teaches, which helps lectures not be as boring. Lab includes field trips which are fun.

Dr. Craven provides a wide range of ways to earn your grade. You will have tests, worksheets, presentations, papers, and exams. She is very approachable, but you have to study for your grade!

Dr. Craven is a great professor. She provides all the material needed for the test, no surprises. You must attend class to receive your notes, and participation counts. The test are full of material so it is necessary to study. I also would recommend taking her lab class. She is very approachable and will help you understand the content.

Review the notes, do the reading (it kinda helps), make it to class cause she does not post slides of her stuff, and the examples in class will be on the exam. But will work with students during office hours. Really Great Teacher!!

Took her over the summer. Amazing! Take Dr. Craven. She understands you literally have 16 days to learn 16 weeks worth of material so she waters it down for you. Awesome pick for summer classes. Totally worth it!

Dr. Craven is my favorite professor by far. She is fair and genuinely wants you to do well. Lecture heavy-take good notes-but she makes it understandable and is happy to answer questions in class. Tests are hard but fair, and she offers extra credit on each exam including final. Wonderful Professor and warm personality!

Dr. Craven was good. She is very knowledgable and truly cares about her students' success! Her exams are fair, but they cover a good bit of information, so it does require a good bit of study time to pass! I HIGHLY recommend for every future student to print off her lecture outline notes, so that you aren't constantly writing!

Ms. Craven isn't all that bad of professor, It's just she may be stronger in teaching Marine Biology than A&P. She is really nice and will work with you; it's just she doesn't effectively get the information across all that good. I had to majority of the time teach myself. Test are fair and passable.

I rated her difficulty as a 4, but that could be different if you aren't taking the 4 week mini-mester. She was my professor for A&P1 lab & lecture, and I really had a good experience. She tells you exactly what to study (hence the 'Skip class? Won't pass.). Extra credit, usually 5 points, was on all of our quizzes and tests.

There are 10 quizzes she drops the lowest one, EC on all of her quizzes and practicals. Tells you exactly what to study for the quizzes and provides an outline for both tests. Practicals can be kind of hard if you don't study because it is a lot of information. Always lets you go early. There if you have questions.

Professor Craven is clear in her presentation of the material and ensures that all students have an opportunity to succeed. Studying thoroughly, like with any collegiate course, and attendance to class will make for a good overall grade. Her exams are all based on material covered in the lecture notes. Her lab quizzes are from the lab book.

Craven is nice and her tests are straightforward with her notes. She never posts her notes online so you have to be in class.

Super easy class. A few discussion posts and an assignment to create a website about yourself. The website assignment is for the whole semester and is super easy. Her rubrics are easy to follow. Loved this class!

THE nicest professor, really wants you to succeed and is very helpful

Lectures are so organized and detailed, yet simple. Super friendly and gentle if you need help. She gave us links to free textbook PDFs. I wish I could have her for every class. Answers emails quickly. I wasnt stressed at all taking her class and lab. 10000/10.

Exams are made up from the Lecture notes. The textbook is recommended but she has access to it online since it is expensive. 4 Exams and a Final. Extra Credit offered. Easy to communicate with inside and outside of class.

She's very sweet and clear about everything that's expected. You're given 10 quizzes, a midterm and final practical. She doesn't do word banks. But, she tells you everything that is and isn't going to be on the quizzes. 10 questions. If you actually study, you'll do great. I just finished with a 102%.

She was great! Very "clean cut", straight forward class. I always knew what to expect and what was expected of me. Course had 10 tests, that it. Her powerpoints are easy to follow and the tests come straight from them. I actually learned a lot. Anytime I reached out, she was available and gave great feedback. I would take her again.

Dr. Craven really breaks down the modules well to where you can study each and be prepared for the exams at the end of the chapter. Additional resources are also provided in case the prepared lecture slides are not enough. Extra credit discussions are provided that corroborate with course material.

Dr. Craven is great, class load is minimal and quick zoom 3x/wk.
