She's very easy, does conferences to go over essays, does a lot of feedback on grammar and sentence structure, and always helpful

Great Teacher! But you have to attend class for assignments and pop quizes! Read text out of book when she assigns and ask questions when needed! She is really helpful and understanding! I learned alot that i should have known in high school!

She is nice but is strict on rules. Must go to class everyday! She will not give you an easy A! Goes strictly on how many points you've earned. Overall its an OKAY class.

Got an A in her class, but I really had to work for it. 4 major essays with 4 reflections, discuss readings in textbook, 4 reading responses, 1 group project with a reflection, 4 quizzes. In class essay as midterm. Its not too hard, but it is work.

I really enjoyed her class! She's very nice, smart and articulate! You learn alot and she's not hard if you keep up, and WORK HARD on all the essays, reflections, and basically everything. GREAT TEACHER.

Summer Session was excellent. A definite and genuine learning experience. Not only will you have fun but you'll learn the material very well. This class isn't a bird course nor is it hard on your brain. Take this class immediately!

I would consider taking this class I took the eng 100 course. I took it during the summer and it is pretty interesting. No boring stuff, just lectures and fun essay writing.Involves the use of computer and a stable internet access since all of the essays are submitted online, good if you are looking to save some trees.

She's really helpful.and great on feedback. She'll tell you exactly what your strengths and weaknesses are. 4 major papers and a pop quiz each section so attend class regularly. But she makes the class enjoy eachothers company so it makes it easy to go.

If you signed up for her class based on information that she is hot, not a good idea. She's skinny and not bad, but def not smokin hot like this will lead you to believe. Other than that, fairly good teacher. Goes through easy material a lot, but then again a lot of the kids in there are working there way up from ENG 18 and 22...

You might mistake this class for a writing intensive one. Yes, she is very critical but at the same time, you'll be surprised by how much you have learned at the end of the semester. If you really wan't to improve your writing skills, she is really the teacher to take.

Professor Fujioka-Imai is a really great teacher. I recommend her to anyone that needs to take english 100. There's a lot of work but its easily fair. She's very helpful and sweet!

Professor Fujioka-Imai is one of the best English teachers I've ever had. She knows her subject pretty well, very attentive, helpful, well-organized, eloquent and dresses well. I highly recommend her. My writing skill improved dramatically. I like the fact that she doesnt contradict your own writing style.

Overall it is easy to pass if you put the effort into this class. She works hard to help you as much as she can inside and outside of class. It is fun and upbeat.

Easy class, just read the book for the reading quizzes and make sure to do your drafts. You'll get a good grade as long as you do your work.

Lots of writing & quizzes every week plus a midterm & group presentation. Very friendly, positive teacher willing to help her students. Overall one of the best teachers I've ever had. There's quizzes every week, 3 questions only super easy. Only 4 major essays...she helps out A LOT along the way. Midterm is definitely fair. No final exam actually... i think? Just final essay. SUPER NICE AND HELPFUL! Take her if you wanna learn how to write better and get a good grade.

SUCH a SWEET teacher. no final (thank god), 4 essays all semester, doesn't criticize asking a million questions like high school teachers do, very nice, one midterm written exam in class, very easy. so sweet too! definitely reccommend! easiest english i've ever taken and i usually hate english. do ur work n ull get an A!

Kathryn is extremely friendly and very helpful. She grades nicely according to effort and progress. She can tell when you put effort in your paper and when your not trying. Four main essays with a lot of smaller papers, reading assignments and quizzes.

She is an excellent teacher. Class is fun and interesting. Assignments are explained very well and she is always available for help during and outside of class. You can tell that she loves what she does and is genuinely interested in the success and progress of her students. Great professor! :)

Kathryn Fujioka-Imai is a very friendly and helpful teacher.The workload may be a lot of some, but it you learn a lot from this course. I recommend her for an English 100 teacher.

I really like this class, although it is not a cake walk. The work is challenging and rewarding, because so much can be learned. She is very helpful and clear when teaching.

I think Mrs. Fujioka is one of the best English teachers at LCC. Shes helpful, funny, kind, sweet, always wears the cutest outfits; the homework (or essays) are challenging but its worth it. Easy, yet hard. :) Recommended teacher

Had her for Eng 100 and Eng 200. She's a great professor. Really kind, always in a happy mood, and always smiling. I had to turn in a paper late once and she was very lenient about it. In class is a lot of power points/discussions. Grading is based on essays and in-class quizzes. The quizzes are extremely easy if you do the short readings.

EASIEST ENGLISH 100 PROFESSOR!!!! She's very helpfully if you get stuck on your paper and you turn them in online so you don't need to worry about not having it done by the time class starts. 1 group project, mini quizzes on the reading that was homework and 4 essays.

Professor Fujioka-Imai is the best English instructor. You'll love going to class. Read the short stories from the book! Take down notes when she lectures. Very helpful. Does group projects and gives out extra credit.

i had her for eng 200 she is very helpful. she makes you want to learn. if you do the reading in the text book you'll do fine on the quiz and there was no final exam

She is awesome. Really clear in everything, really understandable. All you do is three essays in her class, and one in class essay. Make sure you read all the required readings becasue she does give quizzes. My class was fun with her, she's really chill!

Overall, Kathryn is the best english teacher i had so far! She's really organized when it comes to assignments, so you know what is expected in every quiz. She gives mini quizzes, but she lets you know what will be covered. so if you're looking for a professor that knows what they're doing...she's it! PLUS HER CLASS IS FUN:)

The best professor I had so far at this campus. She is extremely organized and well prepared for the class. She issues short quizes every morning relating to your homework readings, which helps you to actually open your book and read the material. She motivated me to become a better writer--now I'm planning on registering for her ENG 200 class.

Easy class. She's very clear on all the work. Very helpful too. She's very well organized with her daily class schedule. All the work is due online as well. Topics for all essays were easy to follow.

Ms. Fujioka-Imai is by far the best teacher I've ever had. She's so sweet and always greets everyone in class. There are reading quizzes almost every morning and three major essays. I REALLY enjoy Mrs. Fujioka-Imai's class. She greets you in the morning. She is very plesant to be around. i sometimes come in late while she lectures and still greets me and always smile. Three major essays, assign short easy quizes in the morning if you did your homework, and one group project. She is VERY ORGANIZED! I Recommend her for your 100!

She is very clear and has just about the same routine. She's very nice and energetic. She sets up one-on-one appointments with you to help better your paper. Not too many papers. You also get assigned a buddy to grade your paper - you don't get to choose. There are group projects as well. Quizzes are only ten minutes with a few questions.

This was by far the best class I had this semester. She was always there to answer questions right before or right after class, and even around campus. She is very clear and dedicated, talks to everyone equally and helps you learn about the campus as well. Waiting to take my next writing class till the fall, just so that I can take her class.

The thing I like best out of my professors is passion. Professor Fujioka is passionate and upbeat and you'll never catch her without a smile. The demeanor will rub off on you (if you let it). Everything is laid out for you and if you can form coherent sentences and know how to spell correctly, you'll do absolutely fine.

Professor Fujioka-Imai is one of the best professors at Leeward CC. She gives you an outline of the entire semester, which has the due dates of assignments and the material that will be covered each day. There were 4 short essays (2 pages), and 2 long essays (5-7 and 7-9 pages), and a group presentation. She will always help you when it is needed.

Katherine is an amazingly helpful, kind, and sincere individual, which makes her an amazing professor. During the semester, I dealt with more than a few outside issues which she was more than willing to work around with me, and she always provides very clear and helpful feedback throughout the writing process.

Awesome teacher very friendly and clear, gets to the point and provides students with examples of expected work. Expect about 5 page long essays but she has conferences and helps critic your work so you get the best grade possible.

She gives a couple of long-ish papers along with a midterm and final essay. This is definitely writing intensive but the workload is definitely manageable. Professor Fujioka is super sweet and I'm sure she'll help you with any problems you may face. I recommend taking this class.

Prof. Imai is the dept. head, so this is not the class to slack off in. That being said, she is the best English teacher I've ever had. She picks essay topics that are relevant and thought-provoking, which makes them easy if you put in the effort. You also learn really great research tips that are helpful for other classes. So fun and useful!

Extremely clear and organized class because there's a schedule given on the first day. Small quizzes from textbook but super easy! Other writing assignments and enough time to do them. Not a hard grader, just put your best effort into the essays and she's available if you need further help. I would definitely take again because I learned a lot!

As I already graduated from LCC May 2017, she is the best professor I've ever taken, considering she is really caring, respectful, and always smiling which is a big plus! She is always available to help if you ever need it. Hands down, I would highly recommend anyone to take her for any class that she is teaching, she is head of the department too.

Dr. Fujioka-Imai was AMAZING!!!!!!! I took her summer session of English 100. She tells you exactly what you will be doing through the semester, and pretty much sets you up for success. She is very sincere and helpful. Very little homework and she is a very fair grader. TAKE HER CLASS!!! ITS WORTH IT!!!

Professor Fujioka really cares. I took this course during summer and still felt able to keep up so, taking in full term should be a bit more relaxed. She was very encouraging to all students. One group presentation, three essays, reading assignments and a short quiz for each reading. Do the readings and show that you're trying and you'll be ok.

Dr. Fujioka Imai is the best! At first it may seem like there are a lot of hw but once you get used to it, it's pretty easy. You NEED to buy the textbook because there are at least 20 short quizzes on the readings. 2 essays and the last one is a proposal where you have to present but it's pretty easy. There are also some short essays too.

Ms. Fujioka is a wonderful teacher and she's VERY VERY understanding. I expected an English class to be boring but we wrote about interesting topics. If you genuinely try then it's an easy A. She catches EVERY SINGLE student up on what they missed when they walk in late. I 100% recommend her to anyone, she's the nicest person.

Kathryn Fujioka was one of my favorite Proffesors. She is very helpful, proffessional and kind and she cares about you as an individual. She tries to help everyone the best she can whilst balancing her own life. She encourages every bit of participation and is eager to pull out the artistic potential in you. Great professor, lengthy amount of essays throughout the semester but she allows you to send to her and make corrections for a higher grade. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Every day there is a quiz so be sure to read the book. (Only a couple of pages)

There are 20 reading quizzes (only 3 questions each), 4 mini-essays, 2 major essays, and 2 presentations (1 is for essay #2 and the 2nd is a group presentation). This class is easy as long as you do the work. Dr. Fujioka is really kind and understanding. I would highly recommend her class to everyone.

She is so nice and understanding. I normally do not like classes that have required zooms but her class was so fun that I enjoyed attending. You do have to buy a textbook but it is not expensive.

Professor Fujioka-Imai is one of the best professors I've had. We wrote a lot of papers back to back, but she structures everything in a way that the class flows nicely. You will have a peer review partner for the essays. She also meets with you and gives great feedback. Open class discussions are also always encouraged.

I have always hated English class and writing essays but she is my favorite teacher EVER and I actually enjoyed attending her class.
