This class was super easy..but I hated every minute of it. It went by so slow, and although you could tell she's a very smart lady, I was so bored and fell asleep almost every class.
simple, just go to study sessions and read the book! easy A
Fun class, funny professor, clear ideas, easy tests.
Wonderful lady. Easy class. Very helpful. Smart. Entertaining. Interesting and clear topics. You do need to study for the quizzes and tests though.
do not take as a women's studies class...she only talks about religion. her tests are impossible to pass unless you are a religions major...she is always off topic and never discusses information on the tests in class
Yeah, it was an easy class overall, but I was disappointed with what I got out of it. Her teaching seemed very random, and it was hard to keep track of what she thought was important for tests as well as due dates. Nice lady, but not so good class.
sincerely my least favorite teacher at uwec. she taught as if we were high school students and she allowed her students to be disrespectful of both other students, and of her.
the best teacher that i have had, she was great. the class was fun filled and she gave alot of interesting info. I would take all of her classes if i could. the class was layed back and humurous. GREAT!!
Try your very hardest NOT to take her. She trails off a lot in her lectures and stresses the unimportant things and quickly goes over the important issues. It's hard to guess what will be on her tests. It's basically all about the book and she contradicts herself A LOT! You will get confused.
She's extremely nice and you can tell that she has a ton of knowledge on what she is teaching, but unfortunately she tends to be somewhat confusing. She trails off the topic in her lectures and attempts to put eight religions on one test (which most people do poorly on). Avoid her if you can.
Horrible teacher, doesn't teach what matters... Can't stand her class. She knows what she's teaching, but doesn't really teach it, she has the tendancy to start talking about stuff that doesn't matter... Her class is wretched!
She is very unorganized with tests and powerpoint. She has good intentions, and is entertaining in class. I would recommend the class, just be prepared for her to be unorganized. She gets tests and papers back quickly. Good lady; will take her again.
She is a great professor. She's a lot of fun. The material is interesting, and we even took a couple of group tests. There are papers that you have to write, but they only have to be a page or two double spaced.
Smart Lady. horrible teacher. Very contradicting. Powerpoints useless. Even if you do read the book her quizzes and exams are worded horribly. She is a confusing teacher.. sure she gives chances for EC, but its not worth it. I enjoy religion, as long as it is not taught by her! Don't take her!
DO NOT TAKE THIS LADY! She does not prepare you at all for tests! The test on Hinduism, Buddhism, etc... is IMPOSSIBLE! She is a nice lady but definitely not a good professor! Good luck if you can only fit her into your schedule!
This is an easy class overall, but some of the tests are hard. She is a nice lady and knows what she is talking about. The tests don't really cover the material she lectures on.
The class was a lot of material, but mosts quizzes were take home or with partners. Tests were hard and confusing, but there are only 3. She forgets everything, and she is very unhelpful. After a semester you learn to get used to her, and just study.
She never stays on track, and we had to rush through our lectures on Islam and Afro-Carribean religions in 2 days, just to finish them before the final. The quizzes were easy, and the papers were a joke, but the exams were tough. Do yourself a favor and don't take her class.
If you want an easy A but can put up with confusion, this class is for you! Just do the assignments and study like h*ll for the Hinduism and Buddhism test!! You will never understand how she comes up with your final grade but here is the methadology I use: If you think you have a C then you have a B! Funny lady and knows her religions.
She is hillarious. She goes off on some pretty crazy stories and makes you laugh. She's a pretty easy grader. YOu will do well on everything but you have to study a lot for the hinduism test.
She is a hilarious professor - she'll tell some random stories that make you question her knowledge - but she really does know her stuff. For the most part, it's an easy class - but you really need to study for your Hinduism and Buddhism exams - they're rough.
If you take her class, you will question her knowledge (some things she says are literally dumb). Extremely easy class.
Everything is on W drive; will give extensions
AWESOME AND TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT AND FUUUUUUN!!!! LOVES YOU!
She's a great teacher. Her tests are some what hard, but just study for them and you should be fine. It's a pretty easy class, because there are ALOT of extra credits so if you don't do good on the tests the extra credit points always makes it up.
Very accomidating for a student with disabilities
VERY VERY boring. She rambles on about random stuff during lectures and it becomes very confusing. She puts random things on her tests that isn't in the book and she never talked about it during class. don't take her.
She knows a LOT, but it's not always presented in the best way. There huge amounts of extra credit available.
She is an alright professor. There is a lot of extra credit available, but her tests are hard sometimes. If you study you should be fine, and even if you think you do bad you can make it up with extra credit. It wasn't a very interesting class, and she was pretty boring.
She knows alot about the subject. My particular class was kinda long, so it got a little boring at times. Alot of extra credit.
kay is a super sweet lady. her classes are interesting, although they don't seem to stay on track. she is definately not dumb, just really easy going and a little drifting. too much group discussion, not enough lecture (sounds strange, i know). she has a refreshingly optimistic view of the world and conveys it throughout.
Tests and quizzes were really easy. You really don't even need to study for ANY quiz there are just as many EC ?s as there are regular ?s
Definately knows a lot about the topic and is always willing to learn more. Quizzes can be on the harder side, but she offers enough extra credit to make up for it. Also very flexible.
Real boring class. i can never stay awake. it gets tough at the end.
Kennedy is an extremely nice woman although one of the most unorganized teachers ive ever had. She lost one of my exams and when she found it she graded me a 52 out of 70 instead of a 62. whoops, just a grade and a half off. so you want to keep you eye on your grade. lots of extracredit is available, but class has little structure.
Class is a bit disorganized, but easy. LOTS of extra credit!
She is very helpful, but class isn't very organized. Very boring lectures, hard to pay attention!
One word: DISORGANIZED. She doesn't do a very good job of clarifying what you need to know so when tests come around it seems like you've never learned the information. There is A LOT of extra credit but since she's so disorganized I'm not sure how she even calculates her grades. Very nice lady though!
The class is extremely boring to begin with so the fact that her lectures drag on into eternity is annoying. She is the most disorganized professor Ive ever had. She fails to mention things about quizzes and exams which makes you feel like you never learned anything about them. She's extremely nice and always willing to help out which is nice.
Agreed-disorganized & ditzy! But shes like the cute ol' grandma type. Class gets so boring/long so be sure 2 take it w/ a friend 2 talk to. Quizzes are graded in class, basically grade them yourself/get over an A everytime w/ extra credit. 1st test was hard but got a B with basically NO studying. Havent finished class, but take her its not too bad
A nice woman in general, but I did not enjoy the class at all. Lectures drug on and on, and she is rather disorganized. It's hard to study for exams since she doesn't really clarify what will be on them. There are lots of extra credit opportunities on quizzes, but that's about the only upside to the class.
Extremely boring class. Prof is really disorganized but she is pretty lenient. But the boredom is enough to make you mad!
Very boring lectures and she is very disorganized. She is easily persuaded with changing/moving assignments however. Take the class in chunks rather than once a week-too long and dull.
Kay is a pretty easy prof. Her lectures can get kind of long and boring, but they help a lot for the quizes and tests. She has a ton of extra credit, and sometimes lets you take quizes in groups. The Eastern Religions test is by far one of the most difficult. Her rubric for papers was a little difficult to follow. Overall pretty easy.
Easy class. Lots of extra credit offered. But the teacher is SO boring. A class about religions of the world SHOULD be interesting instead lectures drag on and the teacher repeats herself at least twice every class. Also doesn't use D2l in favor of the outdated W drive. PAIN IN THE BUTT!!
Very good professor and easy, too.
I dread going to class every day, but there is so much extra credit that it's definitely easy to feel pretty set with everything in the class. For me, i crapped it up on tests so far but got 150% on quizzes and will do extra credit papers and probably end up with a B or higher. Probably an A actually! haha. boring, but easy.
My God. It's not hard to get a decent grade, but she's so disorganized and unclear it gets frustrating.
She is the sweetest lady ever! very easy to get a good grade in her class... she doesnt pay attention to anything and if you talk to her, you can convince her to give you an A
Very fair and interestind classes. The material is useful, fair and well-balanced. It's good even if you take it in summer.
I'm only 5 weeks through class and I already want to pull my hair out! SO BORING! I have never had a prof. this unorganized! Knows her stuff and is a nice person but I can barely stay away during her class. Her lectures are worthless and her powerpoints are confusing. don't bother. Take another prof if you can!
A good person, but not technically savvy.
Oh. My. Gosh. Do not take Prof. Kennedy. The most unorganized person ever. Our class was small, so she knows all of our names, but if you get on bad side, you stay on it. The class is so boring. Her power points are useless for her tests. Her tests have random things in it that you never go over. Doesnt know how to use technology. Go to diff prof
She is by far the worst prof I have had at UWEC. It's an easy A for a class but she is boring, unorganized, and can't teach worth a damn. She is beyond smart but rambles like you've never heard before....DO NOT TAKE HER FOR A PROF!!!
Nice Lady and loves what she does. She is very unorganized. She lost 2 of the three papers you turn in. Quiz' are easy. Tests are hard. Average grades on tests are D's but since everyone does so bad she curves it alot. As for reccomending her, I would if you need a good grade but it's a very dull topic and lectures are brutal.
She is a nice lady, but boring. she is very unorganized and gets off on tangents easily. she is very unorganized. but she gives lots of extra credit and if you study a little for the tests they are not hard. most of her quizzes are take home also. so with effort this class is easy to get an A in.
Let me spell it out B-O-R-I-N-G. If you were religious before this class it has bored you out of ever wondering if there was a God.
nice lady, but lost everything! she is veryy boring and her slides aren't very clear. a lot of the stuff on the exams are minor details that really aren't important for an 100 RELS class, but in all means it wasn't a terrible class.
She is great. Offers a ton of Extra Credit. Worth taking! Tests are real hard but i am sure they are easier than any of the other Rels professors!
Ridiculously unorganized! 3 hour evening lectures is AWFUL! Reading the book is helpful in a sense, but I don't know how anyone could pull off a "A" with Kennedy. You'd have to listen to every word the woman says and take insanely good notes. Try to take the class with someone else if you can.
Really easy, I mean really, tests can be worded tricky but overall she is an easy grader and you can get ALOT of extra credit that isn't hard. A few papers that weren't difficult, she drones on and she is scatter brained and not very helpful
Kennedy is not a very good teaching when it comes to the teaching part. If you need a good grade take her. She is so unorganized and scatterbrained it is ridiculous. Tests are cake.
Kennedy is a mixed boat. She's nice, her tests can be easy, or terrible. I think she's better than the alternatives, at least. Go for it if you're thinking of taking rels 100.
She's easy, and you will actually learn a good amount, even if she spends a good amount of time fumbling with technology. Definitely the better option for religions, and she is passionate about the subject.
Kennedy is like a nice grandma but she has some troubles. She loses her train of thought a lot and forgets when she assigns due dates. Her class is easy but can be frustrating due to her lack of clarity and her inability to use technology. Only take this class if you don't mind some random tangents and have a LOT of patience!!!!
She has no idea what is going on. Attendance isn't mandatory, she gives out lots of extra credit, and allows you to talk to people during the quizzes but the tests are VERY hard.
Oh my freaking god, do NOT take this course. It is far too much stress to make it worth the A. Her tests are picky, her class periods are boring, and she falls asleep during presentations. I repeat: do not take this class.
Never take this prof. She's nice and all but she is useless and so are her lectures. She goes of on random tangents that are boring. And she tells you different facts than the book does and then gives your off if your go by the books answer instead of hers. Stay away from her.
shes really nice. i even like her. her lectures are intresting but never on topic! shes very tolerant of sleeping, and texting, the text book is something that needs to be read although its only like a chapter every 2 weeks. her tests are mostly on that. like i said i like her but sleep often in class and would rather take a different prof.
She is VERY boring. She give little to no instructions on her assignments, her papers are annoying and hard and her tests are impossible. I would not have taken this class if I knew it was going to be this bad. I recommend not to take this class, or at least not have her as a teacher.
Her powerpoints are the most useless thing in the world. Her quizzes and tests have nothing to do with them. You can sleep in the back row, and get just as much out of the class hour as the person sitting in the front row diligently trying to write everything down thats on the slides...(WHICH IS USELESS!!) don't take her at all costs.
This prof/class is just a joke. Lectures are pointless. Exams are impossible unless they are take home. She expects way too much work for a 100 level class. She knows nothing about technology and therefore stumbles through lecture. Avoid taking her at all costs unless you like being bored out of your mind every lecture!!
This is the easiest college class I've taken so far. We grade our own tests and she has just as many extra credit on the test as there are regular points. Her lectures are completely pointless.. you could never go to the class and still get well above 100%. She's a horrible teacher, I'm not learning much, but definitely take her for an easy A.
While she may not be the best professor, she tries and is pretty lenient on things. Lots of extra credit, sometimes take home exams/quizzes. Paper expections not really clear.
She loves what she teaches, which always helps. She is super easy and not always clear about what she wants, but it doesn't matter because there is no way to fail the course. She knows most are taking this for gen ed creds. She is very nice and personable and even funny at times. If you want an A in RELS 100 take her, although you may get bored
To sum up her class, her quizzes and tests are very difficult but makes up for them with tons of extra credit. Her paper instructions aren't very clear but she is a very easy grader. Overall, this class isn't hard to get an A in but prepared to be frustrated with her.
If you need an easy GE4 class take RELS 100 with Kennedy. It's impossible for a college class to be any easier. You don't even have to pay attention in class, but bring your computer because it gets boring, especially in the 3 hour class. 3 take home tests - including the final - and 2 easy papers. Got an A with zero effort.
Her quizzes she gives often are impossible, but she gives plenty extra credit. The papers she makes you write seem difficult BUT if you need help, go ask her. She is very approchable and knows what she is talking about. She is however basically an old bat, she forgets things all the time and says inappropriate things, but you can get a good laugh.
easy class, however prof is not very clear at all and jumps all over the place. not good with technology. we once spent an hour with her working on playing a dvd. take the class for a ge but its confusing to know what she wants from u as a student but shes an easy grader.
Boring class, hard to follow, syllabus is super confusing, and tests are made for a religions major. If you don't really have an interest in Religions I would recommend fulfilling your CD requirements with another course. Group project was a hassle and was timed during finals preparation. Luckily tests are on D2L.
Probably one of the nicest professors you'll come across.. however she's sometimes unclear explaining what she wants you to know for tests/quizzes. Had quite a few take home quizzes though & gives a ton of XC! Easy class.
WORST teacher I have ever had by far! She would change all the due dates on us, she doesn't know how to use D2L so it would only work half the time, and then she would make us take impossible paper tests that she would time. Class is boring. She is confusing. Changes due dates. Overall HORRIBLE.
Let's start with the good: she is really nice. Now the bad. She used to do D2L tests, it was unlimited time and open notes/book. Not anymore. She had so much troubles this semester with D2L that she is giving in class tests (starting with this semesters final). The only notes are what you can cram on a tiny notecard SHE provides. DO NOT TAKE
Do not take Kennedy if you can avoid it. She is probably the WORST professor I have ever had the displeasure of working with. She is very unorganized and has NO clue how to use D2L. The questions on tests and quizzes are ridiculous. Tests used to be online but not anymore. She lectures all hour and is very unclear in what you need to know.
I thought kennedy was a ver nice teacher, but she was very unclear on what she was expecting from you as a student. unclear on what was on the tests, very scatterbrained, i WOULD NOT recommend taking this class, atleast from this teacher. I was very interested in taking this then once i got to class all my hope was gone.
No helpful at all, offers a lot of EC due to being a hard teacher
Do NOT take this class.
Very easy class, I just sit on my computer the whole hour 15. Very unclear with everything. She just stairs at her computer and talks and never looks up. No clue what to do on papers and tests are very scattered and clueless. Take if you want an easy A but to get really frustrated.
This class is terrible. All she does is lecture from a powerpoint all day everyday. No need to read the book really. Her instructions and syllabus are hard to follow and very confusing. You get at least 2 emails a day from her. She's nice and friendly, but I would not recommend her as a teacher for this class.
This was a super easy class. I didn't open the book once. It honestly has a lot of interesting content, but paying attention is useless. You won't be able to pick up on what she is looking for unless you're 100% attentive and read the book. I got an A without opening the book or paying attention in class.
Kennedy is incredibly difficult to understand; not because she physically speaks poorly, it's because she uses words she doesn't know how to use. Basically, you're on your own in this class. If you don't know what she means, you're never going to and she won't explain. Good luck.
Absolutely terrible, avoid her at all costs. Her lectures are impossible to pay attention to and her exams are all online (timed to about a minute per question) and written where you need about 5 minutes per question. IMPOSSIBLE. This class is going to wreck my GPA.
She shouldn't even be a professor. Ignores student requests and emails. Quizzes and exams don't accurately reflect learning and often have so many mistakes that they are downright distracting. Avoid if you care about your education.
