Excellent teacher. I have always problems in math until I had her. She is very willing to help and she goes very slow for those of you that are like me who need that.

EXCELLENT!!! Instead of buying the book "Math for Dummy's" take her class. She is the bomb. She explains in detail...and true! there are no surprises on her tests. However, she is very detail oriented so PAY ATTENTION!

College Algebra- I have had her for two other previous classes and loved her. She is very good! The subject matter IS hard but she could write math for dummies!!! If you dont understand her then you are lost forever. She is always willing to go out of her way to help too which is great and gives opportunity for extra credit. Shes so great!

I took this class online. I have a pretty good foundation for math so i felt confident taking algebra online. She made it so easy. The online materials were easy for me to understand and she was very prompt about answering any questions i had. I am in the military and she made it so much better to do this class on my own time. Take her!!!

Tried to take this class online, and had to drop due to the fact that you have to go to the test center to take the chapter tests. She's very personable, but unfortunately HCC's online classes are a joke. Cross enroll if you can at St. Pete College. Their online classes are truly ONLINE!

She is amazing. She explains things clearly. She doesn't grade for homework, but she does check to see if you've done it. It is so easy. If you're not good at math, this is the best class with the best teacher!

Her online class is the best if you can keep up woth it!! The tests are a little tricky but its all worh it!! Only bad part is it is an online class but you must got to the test center to take the test.

i TOOK THIS COURSE ONLINE OVER THE SUMMER. 14 QUIZZES THAT YOU CAN TAKE 2xs. 3 tests, 1 exam. ALL AT YOUR OWN PACE. Good on answering questions. Sticks to syllabus, and you can repeat the lessons over and over w/o worrying about feeling dumb asking ???. She's @ Dale Mabry. I also heard Diana Fox's online math courses @ Ybor were good too.

Took the online class. The software used is horrible. You also have to go to the testing center to take the test. On a positive note, this class was a lot easier than the offline class. Be careful on the final exam, she asks questions that were never covered in prior tests or the online learning.

The BEST teacher in all at HCC. Makes even the math dummies (like myself) understand math! Not the easiest, but she makes sure you understand. Goes slow enough to keep up with. No nonsense, and very fun to listen to. Gives lots of extra credit. Wants everyone to succeed!

Offers extra credit but you have to hand some of them in after attending a free school concert. She actually is a good teacher being that she can explain why you get the answers you get rather then just just dumping formulas on you. Waaaaay better than Stevenson who I am taking now...

Easiness/Interest level only rated as they are due to the fact math isn't my strong suit, so I end up having to work a lot longer at getting it. Has absolutely nothing to do with the teacher,I'm doing much better than I would be without her guidance. Instantly can tell she cares about her students. Attendance, just complete the assignments on time.

if it was simple, or would send me an image file she created and scanned after she worked it out on paper herself (which is awesome, much easier for me to see then verbally interpret.) She helped me with numerous sections that I struggled with, and gave great advice for other issues I had going on as well.

I cannot rate this professor high enough - The scales used on this site don't take all aspects into account. This was an online course, and I asked numerous questions. No matter the volume of emails I sent I always received very prompt responses and never once felt like she didn't want to assist. She would either answer by typing it out

In order to rebuttal some of the last negative comments I must say that in a classroom environment she is VERY nice, and offers extra credit. She does tell stories that I definitely think help, since she tells us real life stories relating to the course :) She is nothing but HELPFUL to her students and has a sparkling personality!

I am not sure what professor these students are talking about because she is great!! Very helpful, you must ask for it.She was always willing to help me. Took this course on line, however, she was very helpful when I had any questions. She seemed very nice from many e-mail communications.

Pay attention, do your homework, easy instructor. She gives extra credit, so take advantage of this. Don't be late for class or lax on assignments. She does in class group assignments and keeps the classroom interesting. She is strict but a great instructor.

PROFESSOR PANTELLIS IS A GREAT PROFESSOR! I HAD HER FOR LIBERAL ARTS I & II. VERY CLEAR IN EXPLAINING THE MATERIAL MAKE SURE TO TAKE DOWN ALL THE NOTES SHE PUTS ON THE BOARD. ALSO, IF YOU ARE NOT THAT WELL IN MATH PRACTICE THE HOMEWORK PROBLEMS FOR HELP. I REALLY ENJOYED BOTH HER CLASSES. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER.

Overall, she was pretty good teacher, and wish I had her when I took MGF 1106. If you take good notes and do your homework you should pass it with no problem. She gave alot of extra creits. There were some things didn't like her is that she doesn't answer your questions during the lecture. When you ask her during her office she has an attitude.

Ms. Pantelis was extremely helpful to me when I needed help getting my exams to work on my macbook. She is a great professor who cares about each of her students.

This is the first comment I've ever written but I just wanted to let those of you who are deciding whether or not to take her, do it! She is honestly one of the best math teachers I've had. Even if you're bad at math, you can pass this class with an A. She is so clear on explaining, has interesting stories to tell, and overall is a great person. :)

When I needed help with a problem. I got a step by step explanation. I don't like math that much and this was my second time taking this course. But all in all I actually enjoyed the class. Teacher is really helpful and replies to your email quickly.

I hate math, I just cannot wrap my brain around formulas and equations. This is my second attempt at this course and I found that online works best for me because I am able to redo similar problems until it sticks. Her study guides are a great help. If you put work into it and complete assignments on time you will be fine.

Never understood math, and failed other courses numerous times. Professor Pantelis has a way of making class interesting and wants the best for all students. Give her your full attention and she will do the same for you. No textbook necessary, can use e-book online. Final is made directly from previous test which she lets you keep. Awesome Teacher!

She does an amazing job of explaining all the course content! The subject is very simple as long as you do your online HW. Quizzes are EXACTLY what we go over in class and final exam is cumulative of course work and quizzes. I very much enjoyed this class and her as my teacher, plenty of extra credit options too!

Mrs. Pantelis is a good teacher. The notes she gives in class are very helpful and she explains the lesson very clearly. Her tests are not very hard and she will give partial credit. Her test reviews are 50 problem MyMathLab reviews which take forever. That is my biggest complaint about her. She is eager to help during office hours as well.

Great teacher, you must be in class if you want to pass because theirs something new everyday! I would definitely recommend her to any one, she goes off topic and says a lot of stories but they make the class enjoyable. Do your homework on math lab or you will fail. The textbook is online and you really don't use it unless you're doing homework.

This was a online class with you only coming on campus for the midterm and the final. Professor Pantelis seemed to be a very straight forward type of woman. She provides you with everything for the class at the beginning and leaves everything else up to you. If you are someone who needs extra encouragement then this course isn't for you.

wonderful teacher to take for anybody thats NEEDS to get their core math classes out of the way. she uses pencast(a program which allows one to record orally and written things.) so if you happen to miss a lecture you can look it up on blackboard. One thing to note is she strictly follows the rules of her syllabus. No cellphone use at all.

She's great and really knows her stuff. This isn't a class to take if you don't want to work. Lots of homework to do after each class, but if you do it all to the best of your ability, you'll get a good grade! If you pay attention the tests are easy. Her lectures were easy to follow and she made math very simple. Don't waste your $ on the textbook.

I took her twice and she is an amazing professor, she captures your attention in class by sharing stories that relate to the math. Her tests are really easy if you just study hard. She's just a people's person.

I took her online. She uses mymathlab which I love and it's easy to use. She's very prompt with e-mailing back and she seems to really want people to succeed.

I loved this professor. Very clear with her notes, which makes it easier to follow. She ties in her own stories during lectures, so it's not at all boring. You must do the homework, but it will help. I failed the two tests because I did not study, but I started studying for the tests and left the class with a B. I would definitely recommend her!

Took MAC1105 online and got an A. All of the work is done on My Math Lab, with realistic and doable deadlines. Only reaches out to students before the midterm and final, but I would assume she'd respond fairly if emailed about something else. Class is very clear cut, do the my math lab work, work hard, and you'll probably pass.

Passed with a B and I suck at math, so for that I am grateful. There is a mandatory math trick to do for the course. If you do not perform it in front of class you will not pass! Two tests, a trick and online homework, that's it. She can be intimidating but she is definitely passionate about math and will help if you ask. Don't miss class.

Professor Pantelis is a very good math teacher. She explains things very clearly. I got an A because she was very clear about what would be on the test. I am not the best math person and I was able to get the A. Just come to class, do your homework, and review before each test for a good grade. Only beware of the mandatory magic trick you must do.

This was hands down one of the easiest, and most fun math classes ever. She does go off topic alot but never for too long. She gives 3 tests total including the final, and the final consists of Q's from the first 2 tests. 2 projects make up the rest. An Escher type drawing one and one where u have to do a "MATH" magic trick. Dont worry its fun.

To make a long story short, if your pass all of your homework,quizzes,test and do not pass the final or midterm, YOU WILL FAIL THE CLASS! Here is how the grading scale looks in the syllabus: Homework 15% Quizzes 10% Chapter Tests 15% Midterm 30% Final 30%

Mrs. Pantelis is a very upbeat person. She is always smiling even for early classes. Very clear on what is expected from the beginning. I like that she has many different ways of explaining things if you do not understand and can even relate to real life scenarios. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE ON THE PRESENTATION! Professor Pantelis is an excellent math teacher. Her MGF 1107 class was enjoyable because she has the class do an art project plus another project that was fun to do. The math taught in her class is not super hard and she only does 2 tests. There is some homework, but not a lot. I would take this class again.

Her stories are the best! She's really funny but she gives a lot of homework. She's very good at teaching though and I'm terrible at math. Sometimes she can be a bit condescending though which is annoying and you definitely don't wanna miss any of the test days and sometimes she'll surprise you with a take home test

Professor Pantelis was very help for what was a difficult subject for me. (I don't do math). She provides lots of feedback even for an online class and was willing to give us multiple chances to do better on practice tests and homework. I would definitely choose her as a professor again.

Her class takes a bit of patience to sit through as her voice is a bit shrill and she goes off on random tangents HOWEVER she takes her time doing the problems step by step in class and repeats the steps you need to take and tells you exactly what she wants you to know for the test. She also records the lectures and posts them. Honestly, take her!

Very good professor that gives you what you need to succeed. Actually go to class and show up on time, do the homework, and its an easy grade. Responds very quickly to emails regarding questions or issues. Very clear and consistent during her lectures that way everyone can keep up.

A true life changing professor!! I haven't been to school in many years, came back and had a great experience with Professor Pantelis. I never did well in math until I had the opportunity to learn with her. She cares about your success and anyone that says differently is crazy! Learning is made easy because she her lectures are made to understand.

By far one of the best math teachers that HCC has to offer in there mathematics department. She is so loving and caring towards her students and only wants the best for them. She will work with you until the end if needed as long as you keep in touch with her. Homework was so easy and very easy to keep up with.

Professor Pantiles is AMAZING!! She is very caring and gives you what you need to succeed. I am not good at math at all, but she made it very easy to understand. Professor Pantelis' class is the last math class I have to take and the experience was exceptional. I have always struggled with math, but Pantelis' lectures are clear, concise, and easy to understand. The tessellation project was fun, the math trick presentation was really cool, and the tests are easy to pass if you study your notes.

Mrs. Pantelis is an amazing teacher! She is extremely organized and knows her stuff! Mrs. Pantelis goes ABOVE and BEYOND for her students. I never did very well in math, but she explains things in an easy way to follow AND she does these pencasts so you can go back over the lesson as many times as you want. I wish more professots were like her!

Knows how to teach. Very strict professor but easy class. I took this class in the past with another professor and I failed it. I passed with a B with Pantelis because she does know the material and explains everything very good.

I took 1105 online and the lectures that were required were long, but nothing TOO extensive. The videos are helpful and give a walk-through on how to do the problems, so I didn't require much additional help, so I cannot speak as to how helpful the actual professor was. There are two proctored exams on campus, MAKE SURE TO SET AN APPOINTMENT!

Prof Pantelis is like no other, she is awesome! Please take her especially is you struggle with math. She breaks down every single step and keeps repeating herself until its engraved in your brain. However, If you slack off in the beginning youre going struggle. This class requires a lot of time and practice. Its easy to get the A if you work

Professor Pantelis is awesome and I HIGHLY recommend taking a course with her. She is very knowledgeable in her field and teaches well. Her course is well-organized and goes at a pace that the majority can follow. She brings unique elements to the table in order to help the students' understanding of the content. Participate and don't slack off.

Recommend taking this class during the summer since the homework is a little heavy (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). The lowest quiz grade was dropped. You can submit late homework for reduced credit. Homework, quizzes, and tests all match. She came to our on campus proctored exam to help out :) I'm not good at math but I did well enough in this class.

I enjoyed taking her class. She was always transparent on grading and expectations.

Pantellis was an easy A for me. Work load isnt too heavy and the masgerial she teaches is super easy especially since sh eteaches it in an easy fun way.

Clear about what she expects from you. Do the work, pay attention in class and you should be fine. Nothing insanely difficult, still need to put in the work though. Homework moderately heavy, but do all the assigned work and youre golden for the test.

The class is a bit heavy with lectures. For students that are good at math, this class will not be that difficult. The class I took was online but the midterm and final, we had to go to the campus to take them. The teacher is very friendly and she is very clear on what she is asking for. She is a tough grader tough!

Ms Pantelis was my first class ever. I met her and she helped situate me for dual classes and shes very caring. Like any online math class- watch the videos, do the work. When I went to take the proctored exam, she was very kind and on the last exam she was helping kids see what they could redo and makeup to get an A or a better grade.

Albeit, I had a death in the family my Fall 2020 semester and dropped my class the first time w/ this professor, before doing so she worked with me so much to be able to get me to pass before she would let me just give up. So, after flunking due my depression, I a made a point to get her again, and currently have an "A" grade in the class! Thanks!

Great professor who goes the extra mile to help you become successful. However, the class is very challenging and demanding. The software used (My Math Lab) is horrendous because you can get the answer/concepts correct but the algorithm will mark it wrong if it isn't typed in a "certain" way which can cause you extra points! Change the software!

I took MAC 1105 in 9th grade, during COVID, as a no-live meeting online course ON TOP of all of my honors high school classes, and I have ADHD. There were times where I fell MONTHS behind. I emailed professor Pantelis telling her I messed up, and she would open missed assignments for full credit. I still cry with joy looking at our emails.

Come to class, pay attention and take notes. Pantelis is very fair and gives plenty of extra credit. Her test are very easy to study for and lectures are enjoyable. Im shocked how good of teacher she is. Thats right teacher not professor heart of gold and actually cares about your success. Homework load is very minimal as well. Take her class

Loved this class. Made the work fair and told us ahead of time about work that would be due later on. Gave students opportunity to come to her office if we had questions. Wonderful class!!!

Professor Pantelis is my favorite professor I have taken so far. Since I am a high school student doing dual enrollment, she always opened my tests early for me so it would be easy for me. I definitely recommend this professor.

Prof Pantelis was great for MAC 1105. Almost all of the coursework is done through MyMathLab, which made it very easy to stay organized with assignments. Most assignments had multiple attempts and showed you what the correct answers were if you got them wrong. The MyMathLab system also has detailed explanations. Great prof! Would take again.

Assignments due every couple of days but they're easy if you have done algbra. 1 or 2 in recent years. Everything you learned before, just a tad harder. Good amount of honorlocked tests but it's not so bad once you figure it out. Be careful of the weighted grading. Stay ahead as much as you can and study for the tests and exams using MML's stuff.

She is very willing to help you outside of class. She gives you her mobile number to text her problems throughout the week if you have any questions. Her lectures are very clear and her tests reflect the homework and the lectures exactly. She is very conversational in class and is very nice. She truly cares about her students and HCC.

Incredible teacher, gives every single resource she can to her students, sets up personalized study groups for her tests. Is ALWAYS helpful, and available. Teaches well, and genuinely made the class a cake walk because of how good her lectures were. I am deeply sad that I do not need any more classes that she teaches, because she was just a delight

Professor Pantelis is great - she provides tons of resources and personalized support. The class can be a bit work-heavy, but with tools like unstuckstudy, it's very manageable. Overall, an engaging and rewarding course.
