The Best Professor I Had all semester. She Knows her work Teaches great explains everything and once you have a question she will answer it in details. Class work given is straight to the point and Test easy. She provides you with a study guide which helps you great with the test. Which I HAD Her For All My Classes

Papers are based on personal opinion on subjects discussed in class and gives ample time to complete them. Easy to contact and answers questions timely. Wish I could have her for all my classes.

Wonderful teacher. I highly recommend. It is very important you don't miss class. Writing assingnments due weekly, but very easy. They are based on class lectures, so take good notes. She is very helpful and prepares you for midterm and final exams with study guides. She is a fun teacher which makes the class interesting.

Took her for fall of 2011. Scared to death to take a history course, and I grew to love it. Her lectures were NEVER dull, and I retained so much more than I thought possible. To say it was easy enough to sleep through would be understated. Her spirited lectures: the best part. She is nice and sweet and young. Textbook: worst $9 I have ever spent. You'll find this course enlightening, no matter the extent to which you appreciate art. So, in answer to your question -- yes, you should take her class.

one of the best teaches i have ever had. you can tell she really loves what she does, it comes out in her lectures and her overall sense of bubbly happiness that is contagious. this is a class for "adults" though, as you will be seeing & discussing frightful things like nude men & women. would definitely take a class with her again.

She is very laid back and her class is easy. i took her for summer A and, we had 5essays that had to be 600 words about the notes we took that week, 1 midterm, and 1 final. the tests were 11 or 12 questions you have to answer each with a paragraph, but she gives you all the questions a week in advance.

Requires 5 papers, which are based on your opinion about the topic, and gives midterm and final exams. She posts study guide on her website, which practically has all you need to review for. :)

She's the BEST! I was always interested in history before this class, but Dr.Steinhaus made me love it! Her lectures were always like listening to a very fun story. This was an easy going class. 300 word reflection papers were due basically every week....but things got pushed around sometimes and you get to skip some. This is an easy A if you just put a bit of effort into just keeping up with the mini papers. I took a lot of this class and recommended this teacher highly (:

Very nice professor that loves what she teaches. She lectures all class period but dives into many aspects of the subject she is talking about. I knew most of what she was talking about (thanks old History Channel!), however, I still found the class very enjoyable. She makes you do weekly papers (300 words) and there is only 2 exams.

You do have weekly reflection papers but very much opinionated so easy homework grade. Her exams are very easy! Just be sure to participate in class discussions :) would definitely take her again for any other class!

Steinhaus is without a doubt the absolute best! As crazy as this is, she makes history unbelievably fun. Weekly papers are easy- just attend her lectures! She gives you the short essay test questions ahead of time! I'm NOT a morning person but am trying to get into her 8am class because she's just THAT incredible!! Take her you won't regret it!! :)

She is the sweetest teacher yet. I had fun in her class I walked in knowing nothing and learned a lot. Easy writing assignments every week, Test are all writing. (she give the answers) She give you a chance to make up all your work and she goes over everything and reviews all. She's hilarious, inspirational, and just a amazing teacher.

I took a history class and in my opinion she makes it interesting, and the homework load was not too bad either. She made the information straight forward and easy to understand, however if you were to miss a lot of class it would be difficult to understand what is going on.

Dr. Steinhaus is absolutely amazing. She is one of my favorite teachers that I've taken here at Seminole State. Her class is mostly writing on the things she teaches and she gives plenty of information. Her lectures are very interesting and it's important to take notes on everything she says. If you have the chance to take her class do it!!

Steinhaus is a wonderful professor. She clearly explains things and the class content consists of a lot of material but the assignments are fairly easy. Attendance is important and participating helps move the class along and makes it more interesting. Her lectures are to the point. It's easy to take notes, and things can be humorous. -JG

This professor is hella laid back. Has a weekly homework assignment, but only requires 10 of the 12 be turned in. Prepares you well for tests. This is an excellent class to take in the morning because its a "story time" like class. 10/10 recommend this professor.

Take this class, mostly females take the class because of the title but its also great for males and would be easy for them also. Class is super easy there is weekly discussion papers she drops the last 2. You would need to attend class to know what to write about for weekly paper. Midterm and final paper are easy 300 words for each paper

She is amazing! Very intelligent and speaks to students in a way that interests and relates to them. She has a weekly assignment due which is very simple. If you miss one she is more than happy to work with you and assign extra credit to make it up. Tests are free thinking very simple. Class is easy & I have learned more in her class than any other

I found her on this site and I'm so happy I took her class. Weekly reflection papers based on lectures will be the majority of your grade. She gives great lectures that keep you interested and laughing. I can't wait to take her again. I bought an old version of the book for $2.99 and it worked perfect. I only used it for the reflection papers

Best professor/teacher I've ever taken. Easy reflection papers 10 pts each. You only have to do 10/12 (I just didn't do the last two, gave myself a break). Also 1 midterm & 1 final paper (basically she tells you show me you learned something, anything - you'll get your points). Most importantly, she's kind & you learn so much just by showing up.

easies college class ever. this is coming from a lazy student. not an over achiever by any means. cake 1 assignment a week. 300 words easy google everything. dont need notes. didnt get textbook still got A . tests are easy papers in class u can do at home the night before. AMAZING professor. Very clear and to the point, attendance isn't necessarily mandatory. 300 word paper due every Thursday (SUPER EASY) and she is not a tough grader. Just take her, shes awesome, you won't regret because I am very picky with my professors.

Prof Steinhaus was probably the favorite professor this past semester. He class was early in the morning and unfortunately.... I was late almost every day. But she never reprimanded me or anything for it. Her lectures are great and before you know it, the class is over and you kind of want more. She was very funny and well versed in the material.

The most you will have to do are the reflection papers & notes, which aren't hard if you pay attention. Her class is one of my favorites!

She loves what she teaches so she tends to talk really fast so i recommend that you record her class. Other than that it is an easy A. 10 Reflection Logs and a mid term and final. 5 paragraph essay. I LOVE THIS LADY SO MUCH. She is SO in love with the subjects she teaches, and makes the lectures and content fun, and easy to remember. She is VERY lenient on when you turn your reflection papers in, as long as it's by the end of the semester. Midterm and final are one question, she goes over with you, can be done at home. I enjoyed this course. History is a challenging subject for me, but Prof. Steinhaus made the class interesting, was happy to answer questions, and I enjoyed learning more history in this class. There were weekly reflection papers where we could personally reflect on what we learned during the lecture/discussions. Great teacher!

I love her!! She has great insight and really cares about her students and people in general. She is a vault of information and is just a happy & enjoyable person. You will have a weekly paper, but they are short and sweet. You will learn a lot and there are many opportunities for extra credit if you need it. I highly recommend her to everyone.

She draws the best worst maps ever to be scribbled on a dry erase board. I am convinced she has super powers and is able to upload information to students brains via hilarious lectures and genuine love and respect for history, you will leave with a wealth of knowledge and probably take another class she teaches just because she is teaching it.

Prof. Steinhaus was absolutely AMAZING. She is light on home work and doesn't grade on grammar or English but on the actual content. I was worried that with so little homework I wouldn't actually remember any of it, but somehow she makes everything so interesting and relatable that this is the first history class I remember what she taught! Steinhaus is the biggest history nerd I have ever met. She's lovely and caring, and finds the weirdest bits of history amusing. She doesn't just teach the textbook, she makes things interesting by sharing tidbits of knowledge about historical figures that you wouldn't know. She's the head of campus diversity so YES for LGBTQ+ students!!

I took European History and I have to say that she is by far my favorite professor. She helps students understand things and made class feel fun. The homework is simple, but makes you think. If you pay attention and show up to class youll get an A.

TAKE HER!!! she is extremely laid back, just show up listen to her lectures (they are not boring whatsoever) write 10 out of 12 papers and you are done. I can't stress how good Professor Steinhaus is. Shes one of the best professors I've ever taken . I just finished my second class of hers this fall and intend to take a 3rd next year. I wish some of the other professors I've taken had a fraction of the talent and charisma she has. Going to her class was always fun instead of a chore.

The only grades in the class was 9 reflection papers that answered a question about what we learned in class, only needs to be 300 words. Also a midterm & final paper that only had to be 5 paragraphs no word count. I am taking her again!!!

I took arh2051 with her and learned a lot! Other teachers want you to read textbook and do the quizzes, but you don't even learn. In her class, you visit museums online weekly which I enjoyed a lot, watch her weekly videos and write reflection. One of the best teacher I ever had! She will give you feedbacks every time. (btw easy A) Take her class!

Dr. Steinhaus was a great professor. She really does care and wants you to learn the material. The class was on the easier side, but that being said you do have to make an effort if you want a good grade. There are no tests, but there is an attendance paragraph and a 300-word paper due every week. I barely used the text, her lectures were great.

Easy pass. She is not a harsh grader. As long as you try and meet the required word counts, you'll have no issues passing. She is also very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Highly recommend.

I loved this class so much in spring that I looked to see if Western Civ II was offered w/ her in summer. She makes the lectures fun and her passion for history is infectious. The online class was lots of writing but it was casual writing. She just wants to be sure you understand the material. She's funny and she definitely cares about the students

2nd time taking her. Her lectures made me excited to learn and I often went and found more resources about events or people to gain greater understanding. You'll get out what you put in. Online class has a paper due each week plus attendance assignment but she isn't strict on deadlines. I'd try to keep up so you don't get overwhelmed later.

Dr. Kathryn Steinhaus I took her class for Western Civilizations: 1600 to Present, her class consist of 1 discussion post a week that is 75-100 words and you do not have to respond back to other classmates. You will also have a paper due per week that consist of 300 words in a 3-paragraph format. Her class is so easy. I recommended 10/10.

Took Professor Steinhaus for ART History-Humanities class (ARH2051) Fall 2022. No book required at all! You review virtual online museums for participation grade. Short paper once a week up to 300 words. And for the Final is an essay to sum up all topics during the semester. (currently taking her class for EUH2000 Spring 2023 & that is going well).

Amazing teacher with a manageable workload, very responsive, and even gives comments based on what you wrote in your assignments making it clear that she cares about them and your success. Instead of a huge project common with history, she breaks it up into smaller assignments. As long as you do your best and turn in your work you will succeed.

Had a lovely taking her online art history II course this spring semester!

This is my 2nd time taking Professor Steinhaus - I took her ART History-Humanities class (ARH2051) Fall 2022. Very easy if you do the work. She's passionate about her teaching. The History Humanities was more on the artistry side & I enjoyed that 1 more. Western Civilization just wasn't much my cup of tea. But if you need the credit take her! 10/10

Workload: Two assignments per week- one discussion (EASY) and one 300-word reflection paper (also easy). // Lectures: She's passionate, witty, and very entertaining to listen to. // Deadlines: allows late work until December 4th (super chill)

As someone who doesn't like history, this was a very easy and not super boring class. She provides 2 lecture videos that are 15 minutes each on Monday with a easy little reflection paper to answer, and then 2 more videos on Wednesday with a super easy participation assignment. The final is just another paper thats super easy as well. Take her!

Took her full session, you will be expected to do 1 discussion and reflection paper each week. As long as you put effort, you'll be fine. She's not a tough grader so if you need easy credit take her!

She is absolutely amzing! I missed a lot of classes due to a bunch of family problems and she excused them without any hesistation. Be ready to write, homework is a discussion and a 300 word paper. Bonus though you don't have to respond to your classmates.

She is very nice and easy to have a conversation with casually rather than you usually would with a professor. There are also discussions with the whole class engaged in talking about some topic, either related to the course or not. Steinhaus is a 10/10, would take again.

Dr. Steinhaus was an absolute delight and I was honored to be in her final Women in the Humanities class. I learned so much and had a blast while doing it. This class has reignited my passion for the humanities and history in general, and I can't endorse it or Dr. Steinhaus enough. Never before have I enjoyed writing essays more.

The course structure was simple, consisting mainly of tests and discussion posts, which made it easy to follow. Although the material wasn't overly complex, the professor conveyed the key concepts clearly and kept expectations manageable. Overall, the teaching approach was organized and accessible.

The class was really easy and well-organized. Her lectures and assignments were clear and informative. However, be ready to write a lot, but it's still an easy A coming from a person who barely love writing. Everything else was manageable and accepted late work so easy A if you want to stay in track.
