She is a sorry excuse for a teacher, come on schoolcraft get rid of her. She grades SUPER hard, will never give you full credit on anything even though all of the work and right answers are there. She is far too concerned with getting through what the syllabus says rather than teaching the class. She is very RUDE and has hurt many students feelings
Worst teacher Ive ever had. She is just awful. Her reviews of homework and lessons are brief and useless. BEWARE!!
WHATEVER!!!! I can't believe the comments I'm reading are for the same teacher. She is nice and helpful. It is a little confusing, but c'mon people math needs practice! Go home and do your work, don't get it, keep practicing!
This instructor is a nice person though not a good instructor. Her methods are hurried and unclear. Be prepared to teach yourself this course. This lady in a hurry to leave rather than anxious to teach.
I took Kathy last term. She was a GREAT teacher. We did clash at 1st, but once she knew I was there to learn, she was AWESOME. I would tell anyone to take. You have to pay attention and try your best and you will get along fine :)
I LOVE this teacher. I've always hated math until took her class. Have a sense of humor, come to class, and do your homework! Shes willing to come in early or stay late with you if you need extra help. I will be taking one of her classes again in the future. Fantastic teacher!
She was a very sweet and caring teacher but was not good at explaining things. She was confusing and didn't make much sense most of the time. If you need one on one help she will help you, but I found myself having to go to her often.
I absolutely loved her. You didn't have to turn in the homework, and she had extra credit on the quizzes where you could copy 2 homework problems onto there to prove you did the homework. She also has a great sense of humor and will make you laugh at least a few times.
Loved Ms.Andersen! I hate math, hate hate hate it and I passed without a problem! she is so helpful and kind. funny too.
It was very hard a lot of notes and not a lot time to ask her questions about half the class droped out. I worked my butt off by the end of the semster about only a hand full was still there. Get the book early and watch videos on utube from each subject out of the book because homework did not help much to understand everything.
I never leave reviews about teachers but with this was I felt like I HAVE to warn people about her. AVOID THIS TEACHER AT ALL COST!!! She has absolutely no clue what she is doing and teaches you one way but on the test it is done a completely different way. She will NOT answer questions and if you ask one she is very rude to you.
Doesn't explain things well. Often corrects her own work. Will write a solution on the board only to erase it because she did it wrong. Tests are hard and often include subjects not covered in class. Offers extra credit but only very little (2pts-5pts) Rarely gives partial credit on tests, quizzes, and homework. Prepare to teach yourself everything
Nice lady but is a little confused. Corrects her own work a lot and speaks in riddles. Read the text book it will help
Her teaching method unclear and rushed. She has zero empathy for students with LD's. She can have quite the attitude. Condescending and rude if she doesn't agree with you. Her grading is harsh and don't expect partial credit much less extra credit. Her handwritten test are nearly impossible. I regret taking her and currently failing.
Horrible. The teacher shouldn't be the one who's constantly having to be corrected over the work they're doing. She's not helpful, and very confusing. One day she will show you a way she wants you to solve the problem and then tell you that was the wrong way. She mumbles too much and has no idea how to use the equipment in her class room either
I have her for math 053 and I'm regretting taking this course with her. I'm very afraid for my grade. She does not teach well at all and confuses herself. DO NOT take her
this was the worst math class i ever took, i regretted her class because she teaches so fast and except that you learned alot of the material from previous math classes. i dropped her class i was afraid because your only grade was test.
Lots of work (I did 23 hours of HW for each class), but if you do it all it should be an easy A. She does short lectures in class (30 min), and the rest is group work. Finish early and you can leave early. She will check your work VERY thoroughly. Tests are straight forward, 50% questions taken word for word from the reviews.
on you to do your homework, lots of low point quizzes, easy to ask for help, sometimes has to correct herself
She is a tough grader, but she is fair. Has a good sense of humor, has no problem stopping and answering a question you have in class unless you have 50 questions and are holding the entire class up. offers extra credit, checks homework thoroughly
She doesn't teach us anything, in class, all she does is have us do it on our own, she goes way to fast, she doesn't give us lectures in class we have to do them online. To me this is kinda like a online class.
Bad prof. I went to office hours. Told some people will never get math, I just need a 2.0. I did bad on a test ( had some family issues going on, uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer) when I shared this with her she said I needed to set that aside because I couldn't change it. I was discussed. I dropped, horrible tearcherhuman being.

This teacher is the worst teacher I have ever had. She's too fast, is very rude, has an attitude, mumbles, cannot stick to one problem (starts one problem then moves on to the next without finishing), not helpful at all, very confusing, complicates everything, etc. I can go on for days on how horrible of a teacher she is. Don't take her class.
Do not take this professor unless you know everything already. Get ready for a lot of homework that are worth 10 points only. I had to watch youtube videos to understand what is going on in class. She's very confusing, and not helpful at all. I would not recommend her to anyone!
Extremely fast paced. Would not recommend
She goes too fast, she jumps right into the problem leaving you guessing "how did you get this number?" or "how did you do that?". Homework is online but if you don't do it by the deadline or forget it you can't make it up. Better keep your thinking cap on or know this stuff if you wanna pass
Homework is online, can always email her with questions and she'll get back with you. Was a little tough at the beginning, but is starting to improve a little. Just stay on top of homework and tests and you should be okay.
This Prof is definitely one of the most difficult professors I've had at Scraft. I found her to be extremely rude, first off, both in and outside of class. She was not helpful in office hours and certainly not in lecture. Without a doubt the hardest I've ever had to work for a grade. Not impossible to pass, but only if you WORK HARD! DO NOT TAKE.
I absolutely loved Prof Anderson. She is tough but definitely made me love math, super kind and willing to help anyone. Office hours are so helpful and worth it if you have time!
worse math teacher ever, if you want to fail stats take her. I would not recommend at all. She doesn't care about your grade and its not wiling to help.
HORRIBLE I BEG YOU PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR MONEY! She is rude, she does not explain well, she moves to fast during lectures. She definitely does not care about you or your grade. To be honest there are no good Math 122 (statistics) teachers at this college, check their scores. It's best if you transfer. NO extra credit if you're struggling
Great teacher, Has a guided note packet to help study and really wants her students to pass and the tests were easier than the homework.
Worst class I have ever taken. Stayed with her after class and went to the tutor every single week and still failed every single exam and the class. No amount of work or effort matters she will not pass you. I would never wish the anxiety and stress I had on anyone I had while taking her course!!! Worst professor ever
Wonderful professor, class was very hard but she explained the material very well, went over it again if you didn't understand it and she was available outside of class and you need help with homework, would definitely recommend
DO. NOT. TAKE. THIS. CLASS. This teacher has got to be one of the WORST ones I have ever had. She was so rude to me individually for no reason since the first week. If I could give her a 0 I would. She has no respect for her students and she flies by her lectures crazy fast. She doesnt care about your grade whatsoever.
Nice lady, but she goes through material too quickly and does not explain in great detail. Homework isn't worth very many points so your grade depends solely on your test scores. Extra credit is rarely offered, and if it is, its very hard to get. I had a 4.0 in math last semester, now I may fail this course. Don't take Anderson for your stats class
This was the hardest class I've ever taken, statistics sucks. But she was very helpful in trying to help me understand the material in and outside of class. She offers random extra credit that requires attending stuff outside of class which I wasn't able to do. I might take her again, but I never want to think about having to take this class again
Professor Anderson is the worst professor at Schoolcraft College! Every week she had mistakes in her class that would grade correct answers as wrong. She doesnt accept partial credit, and HATES if you get the same answer but didnt use the math she taught. She is absent for online classes so be prepared to learn on your own. Overall awful!
Not helpful, the class was very channeling to complete online the course was not well designed for online and remote learning the mods were confusing and did not give a good refection to the up coming chapter.
Professor Anderson was great as far as math professors go. As long as you showed up and did the work, the class material was not difficult at all. She offers extra credit on every test which is usually just given, as well as extra credit after each homework unit and practice test. Stats could not be made easier. My grade was 103% with little effort
Kathy Anderson is a very nice person and answers everyones questions. Stats is a hard class but she is a great teacher to go through it with
I thought Professor Anderson was very nice and helpful whenever students needed it. As long as you keep up with your assignments, you honestly should get an A. She gives out some extra credit, and helps with tutoring when needed.
The worst professor I've encountered! Didn't answer emails asking for help, so I had to go find outside resources to get help when I needed it. Requires work to be shown on all tests, but puts a very strict (and short) time limit on them to the point that unless you rush, you will not finish, so there is no time to go back & check your work.
Calculates problems by hand in class, but makes you use calculator functions not shown in class on exam day. Will answer a different question if asked how to do something. Will not slow down if asked. 70% of the class is exams, but lots of extra credit is given. will become cranky at times. Study group chat is a must for this professor.
She's really nice and made math bearable for the semester. I also had the support class that helped a lot. Only issue, I guess, is how she takes more time doing the formula by hand rather than focusing on the calculator and moving on.
Very work-heavy course. Very difficult if you're not a math person. She is helpful if you see her during her office hours. If you care and want to do well, she will challenge you and I don't see that as a bad thing at all. If you don't like professors on the stricter side, I don't recommend for you.
Professor Anderson made stats bearable, though her teaching style takes some adjustment. The class is challenging, but using resources like unstuck AI alongside the textbook and study groups can really help. Overall, a solid professor if you're willing to put in the work.
This professor took my calculator from my hand and slammed it on the table embarrassing me in front of my classmates. She needs to be dealt with!
A more strict professor but very willing to help students if you're willing to put in effort. There are a lot of opportunities for extra credit. A difficult class but if you give the homework effort and study a couple hours a week it's really not too bad.
